Shield's Restaurant Bar Pizzeria

I come here often and I’ve never had a bad experience. Today I was just grabbing takeout. From the time I called to place my order the woman was pleasant. My receipt says her name was Riley. She checked out the woman ahead of me when I arrived and assured her that her food was made the way she ordered (extra cheese). When she was cashing me out she remembered a part of my order and double checked when she grabbed my food that my extra sauces were there. She made a huge difference in my day in the small amount of time I was there.

I’ve always loved Shield’s pizza! The sauce is sweet and amazing as it always has been. My only complaint is the breadsticks were not super fresh. Kinda dry and plain. They must have changed the recipe? Idk. Everything else was great. My server was sweet and quick with the refills on my drink. I’ll definitely come back for the pizza!

I ate lunch here on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. I ordered a small deep dish pizza, because that is what they are known for. While eating my second slice I found a CHICKEN WING BONE IN MY PIZZA. I found this absolutely revolting and stopped eating once I found it. Later that night I ended up with terrible FOOD POISONING that can only be linked back to this restaurant and this incident. I don’t know how a chicken wing bone can end up in a pizza…. I wish I’d taken a picture at the time.

Unfortunately; I was in a party of 20. It took them over 2 hours to serve us any of our food.we didn't even receive the family size salads we ordered in all of that time. When I finally received my steak bites; they were well done instead of medium rare. I sent them back; and they brought me medium well. I would not recommend this location.

So very thankful to Rich for being so generous and kind to us for our gathering . He’s fantastic and absolutely wonderful. He made our grieving after a hard time so much brighter . We appreciate him for going above and beyond. Excellent service. Thank you Rich .your the best and we’re so thankful for you .

There was a group of us. We only had one problem with a pizza that was way over cooked. The other pizzas were great 👍. The waiter was very new but very accommodating and nice.

Always a great experience dining at the Troy Shields. Rich is the reason we keep coming back. He takes care of his customers, very kind, efficient, he makes sure your dining experience is top notch. Food is always delicious and he never lets your glass run dry. Thanks for the great afternoon, we'll be back!!! Highly recommended 🤗

I have never been here and I am so happy I went today. My mom and I went to have a lunch date, and Rich was absolutely fantastic. Such a kind, honest, and sincere person. He provided the best service I've ever gotten at a restaurant. Genuinely such a wonderful and pure soul, as he will be the reason I come back to shield's with my loved ones. I can't say enough good things about this man, not to mention, the cheesecake was just marvelous.
