"The spacious and minimalist bar Shift Drinks has an advanced sommelier as one of the co-owners, and to help pay the bills while the doors are closed, the team is selling off some of the bar’s stellar wines. The bar sells a daily collection of wines along some fun themes, like “Love Oregon, Hate Pinot” or “Three Completely Different Chianti,” usually with five or six bottles, but sometimes just two or even singles. The packages tend to sell out quickly, though ones that dont’ remain available for purchase on the website. The bar delivers to the Portland area for a $5 charge, generally same or next day. There are also cork holders and handmade aprons available for purchase to protect clothing from any wine spillage." - Seiji Nanbu
"At Shift Drinks, the downtown industry bar known for its all-hours 'happy hour,' its esoteric $7 pours of wine might be a thing of the past." - Alex Frane
