Shift Kitchen & Cocktails

The food was surprisingly good. There wasn't much to the menu, but what was there was good. I had the truffle fries, wings, and spicy shrimp. The waiter was all over the place and rarely checked in on us. It was very discouraging. I would return though, but just for drinks.

We were a group of 4, standing by one of the entrances, and my brother was violently bumped, and when he checked the guy for not saying excuse me, the guy response was, “hey dude, I work here”, as if that’s entitlement for being completely rude. Well about 5 minutes later, we dedcided to continue to go into the establishment, and my group and I witnessed the same worker telling his fellow workers not to serve my brother or any of us! He was 100% in the wrong, all because he refused to have and display proper manners. So we just took our party next door to Sidecar, which is always so welcoming and respectful!

My wife brought me here for my birthday along with two other friends. We had reservations. When we arrived we did have to wait a bit for a table as I guess they were sorting things out. We wanted a Booth but they said they had non available (though I could see three empty booths). They wanted to put us at a table with stools but given our age and backs we really wanted a booth. After much hemming and hawing from the hostess(?) after she conferred with two others, we finally were granted a booth to go with our reservation. That should have gone smoother Nothing indicated that we needed to specifically request a booth when we made the reservation. Aside from all that, the food was wonderful. The drinks were great. The shrimp excellent. The steak bites excellent. The Lamb, excellent. The service, very very good. All around excellent.

Yum yum. The vibe was nice, food was amazi g. You must try the lobster taco. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did not have. Reservation and they hooked us up. Will be back for sure.

I've came here twice (Birmingham location) in less than a week lol. Each time was great. On my first visit my waiter's name was Chris and he was outstanding. He explained every item on the menu, he checked up on me in a timely fashion, just overall great service from him. The Bartender Nate made the best cocktails (I had a Lemon Drop and a Strawberry Lemon Drop) He even came to the table to introduce himself and made sure the drink was to my liking. Food was good, I really liked the garlic aoli with the fries. Fried lobster tacos were delicious. Filet Sliders were good. I'm not a big fan of pretzel buns so I would have preferred a different type of bread but overall they were good My second visit I sat at the Bar. Mike was the Bartender and he made me a Cosmopolitan. I ordered Sweet & Spicy Shrimp, Scallops, Pei Mussels and Grilled Wings. Everything was tasty but the wings. If you're a fan of char-grilled taste, than you'll like the wings.

I have heard a lot of good things about this place, and more so that it’s a great spot to come late night in the weekend but a reservation is needed. Decided to come check it out and grab some food and I would have to say I was a bit dissapointed in the place. They only serve salads and appetizers for food and they were mediocre at best. The truffle fries were really good, but everything else was nothing special. The calamari was not good at all and I would not recommend it, nor would I recommend the filet sliders. The service and atmosphere and drinks were good, but food was not worth the price. Note that they have 40% off apps every day from 5-7pm

I almost don’t even want to write how good this place is in fear that it will be even busier! I have been twice. During happy hour food is 40% off and the color red is half off. My favorite dish is the filet tips followed closely by the scallops. There is a parking lot just across the street that if you park less than 2 hours it is free. Service has been great both times I went. Absolutely will go back!

My husband and I were riding our bikes around when we stumbled across this restaurant. It was Happy hour so 40% off food! I had the seared tuna and my husband had the vegetarian board and we both absolutely loved our meals. I had the espresso martini and he had an old fashioned and are picky on our cocktails, and these were amazing! We will definitely be back!
