"Over a decade after opening, chef Sharon Cohen’s bar and restaurant still hits all the right notes: an upbeat vibe, incredibly fresh seafood, and an energetic playlist. This is definitely the place to down shooters and sample the sought-after fish tartare wrapped in avocado, or indulge in caviar and drink to your heart’s content. [$$$]" - Keren Brown

Hip and busy, Shila was recommended to us as a top tip for a great dinner. The seafood was incredible and went well with the great white wines on selection. A little on the pricey side if you indulge in the wines!

A big place located inside a hotel. The place was very loud so I couldn't hear everyone at my table and the staff did not know the menu well, especially the drinks and we had to keep correcting them because they did not remember who ordered what. As for the food - very good. Flavors were precise, firsr courses were very diverse. However, portions are very small and prices are too high. Note: no bathroom inside the restaurant, you have to go to a trip into the sub level of the hotel to find it.

When the place was in Ben Yehuda it was a gem. Since they moved to the new location it has become trashy and with terrible service. We waited 50 minutes for a table even if we had a reservation; no single person was able to say something more than “ we are sorry, we are preparing your table” - and like that for 50 min. The restaurant has lost all the charm it had. The 2 stars I have given is basically because the food is really tasty. But the customer experience is the worst I have ever experienced in israel. I definitely don’t recommend.

I had heard a lot about this restaurant and had high hopes. Unfortunately, the service was very poor. Our waiter was rude, grumpy, and impatient. The staff were in a rush to take every plate and kept asking, “Can I take this?” even while there were still some bites left. It was so annoying — it felt like they just wanted us to leave. The food was okay. Some dishes were very nice, but others were super expensive without much justification. Overall, we paid 400 ILS per person, and at that price, you’d expect a better experience — especially in terms of service and hospitality.

Amazing seafood starters, sabiche and tartar were delicious! Good wine selection. Pricey, but it worth every shekel. Service was OK bit doesn't really match the food level. Overal highly recommended.

Definitely a 5 star. Everything, from the service, to how welcoming the staff were. And than to the food! We didn’t eat any of the meats as the place is known for its sea food. Everything was perfection. The seasoning! Only thing that was good and not great - was the creme brûlée. But it was still pretty good.

We went for a spontaneous mid-week lunch the day before our daughter's wedding just to give ourselves a minute to slow down and have a nice quiet moment. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of the business lunch menu. Everything was super tasty. The service was great, nice young people that weren't shy or weird. They were engaging and lovely! And one makes gorgeous jewelry!

Birthday at Shila. If you’d like to eat fish in Tel Aviv this place is number one. My husband booked us a table for 3 persons and we’re with a stroller and 3 months old. At 17 on Saturday there’re few people and we sat outside. Service were amazing, waitress knew all menu and helped us to choose the best dishes. We got 2 main dishes and one from the “in between” section.
