If service and atmosphere matter to you, this is not the restaurant you’re looking for.
We visited during the transition between lunch and dinner service, after confirming in advance that this timing would not be an issue.
Despite having a reservation (we arrived 10 min earlier), we were ignored upon arrival, met with poor attitude, and our coats were not offered to be checked. We were then told, while still standing at the bar, that we had only a few minutes to order because the kitchen was closing, contradicting what was communicated when the reservation was made.
During the meal, water was never served. When we asked for additional bread to accompany the food, we were told there was no bread left. Once our wine bottle was finished, no one checked in or offered another drink.
The restaurant was largely empty, yet later we were told we would need to leave by a fixed time. The atmosphere was unprofessional: staff were loud, and at one point an employee shouted a profanity at another employee within earshot of guests.
We asked to speak with a manager. The interaction resulted in a brief apology, the check, she even asked how much we would like to leave for service, and a promise of follow-up that never occurred.
The food itself was good. However, in a chef restaurant, service and atmosphere are part of the experience. On those fronts, this restaurant falls far short.
