Shila

Shila hotel is one of the most unique and gorgeous hotels I’ve ever stayed in! It’s so thoughtfully designed and curated, making your stay a truly special experience. I will definitely come back if I visit Athens again and would recommend to others! The staff is so warm and caring, they treated us so kindly and cleaned our rooms everyday. We stayed with two little kids, they are kids friendly! and made us feel so welcomed. The breakfast is AMAZING! The rooms are absolutely delightful to stay in, there’s not enough words to describe this amazing experience. I’m so happy I found this hotel.

Shila is an absolute dream. It’s easily the most beautiful, charming, and intimate hotel I’ve ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the thoughtful design, calming atmosphere, and warm hospitality. Every corner of the hotel felt like a dream—artful, serene, and full of character. It was more than just a place to stay; it was an experience. I was genuinely sad to leave and can’t wait to return. Shila is a true gem.

Shila is the most aesthetically pleasing hotel I have been in. Textures, colors, smells work exceptionally well. I would label it as alternative luxury - quiet, understated, whispers instead of shouting. I felt really at ease and at home there. The hotel only has 6 rooms, so it’s really quiet. The service was impeccable. They arranged lunches and dinners in great places, laundry service was super quick. I would really recommend this hotel for a couple for a romantic escape. Special thanks to Era and Nickoleta for looking after me on this stay. I will be returning to Shila sooner rather than later.

My stay at Shila was simply perfect. It's an incredibly special hotel, tucked away in a safe and lush side street. From the moment you walk in, you feel transported. The decor is lovely, the staff is kind and accommodating, and my room (Dreamers) was gigantic and so well done. They appeal to all 5 senses throughout your experience. The breakfast is phenomenal! I couldn't have been happier. Thank you!

Absolutely lovely! We stayed in Artist Atelier. Comfortable beds, sheets & couches. The rooftop garden is so nice, it’s where we enjoyed our breakfast. Fantastic yogurt for breakfast. Antique bohemian vibe without pretension. You KNOW the owners love the place and it comes across. We left thinking wish we stayed for more days. Pity, next time for sure!

Beautiful bohemian influenced boutique hotel with large rooms. It’s more of an elevated air B and B experience than a standard hotel, but the service was excellent and the rooms spacious. You truly feel like you’re living in your own apartment in the heart of Athens.

Fantastic hotel that transports you to an inviting bygone era. A small museum of warmth and luxury where we felt very much at home and were treated with friendliness and professionalism. I am very happy with the choice we made and upset it was such a short stay but will definitely aim to stay at Shila again and again

What an amazing hotel. The location, service and amenities of Shila were nothing short of perfect. I had the privledge of staying in three of the rooms (due to my travel schedule) and all three were exquisite and had such a cool vibe. The staff was so very accommodating from providing suggestions on where to dine to holding my luggage whenever I needed them to. The location was central to everything downtown. I will only stay at this hotel when visiting Athens. Thank you for making my stay in Athens so memorable.
