They touched my utensils every single time they served. It’s pricey(charge for water) and they absolutely have zero sanitary guidelines. Only one server on Saturday evening and they treated you like you owe them money. For your health, I do not recommend to anyone.

Google
Everything was delicious! We like the large selection of sides, and the shave ice was huge, but very refreshing! Our server was amazing! She was by herself, because her worker had called out. It was busy, but she handled all the tables by herself, and still had a great attitude. Thank you! We'll be back soon!

Before I write this review, I have to pray to let go of my anger. After visiting Yosemite, I drove for about three hours before visiting this Korean BBQ restaurant in Fresno. I don't know who wrote the reviews on Google, but the review score of 4.0 is far wrong. My honest feelings after visiting this restaurant is that it is not qualified in all aspects, including service and food-level consumer attitude, and to put it more bluntly, the health agency should immediately conduct an on-site audit and order it to be suspended. As you can see from the picture I attached, it is a restaurant with no quality and management of meat, and the attitude of the employees at work is also the lowest. This is a reminder to everyone who visits Fresno. I hope you never go to this restaurant. I don't know how long this restaurant will stay open, but at least all my acquaintances will never visit. I couldn't eat the food I ordered. Because I felt like I would get food poisoning when I ate meat and prepared side dishes from this restaurant. My review of this restaurant is the first time in my life that I want to give a minus. Asking to google to reevaluate this store seriously. "I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT AT ALL PERIOD!"

Updated review. Last time we had this place was 4 years ago. I really need to check the recent reviews before going back to an establishment i haven't been to in a long time. I drove 4 hours to come back and have my family try this place and man do I regret ever writing a positive review. This place has definitely gone down the drain. Service is horrible and people talk down to you. The meat comes out tasting like gasoline because of all the oil in the grill. I asked the guy how often do you clean the grill and he tried to educate me about their process especially when you can obviously see that my onions were covered with soot from the grease fire. They constantly raised and lowered the fire and I think we ate half our food uncooked. For $33 dollars a person, it's like the frontier airlines of Korean food. $3 for a cup of tea? Bill came out to $166 for 4 people. Total waste of time and money. I feel like I have to apologize to the guy who read my review and drove down from Yosemite. Takes a lot for me to write a bad review and this was a lot. This is the review from 4 years ago that i wrote. Update to yesterday’s post! I’m back here for lunch and it seriously is unbeatable! $13 all you can eat with an assortment of meats to choose from. Below is yesterday’s post. This place was a bit iffy in the beginning because I didn’t see any old Korean Hajuma’s (ladies) hanging around the kitchen. Being a bit of a Korean food expert I was a bit apprehensive but didn’t hesitate to give it a try. The service started off great and it continued to the end! They didn’t hesitate to ask us numerous times if we wanted more meats and they changed the grill several times so that we weren’t getting too much char on our food. Best part was that they had plenty of lettuce and sides set up for us to get at our leisure. The meats were well seasoned and the choices of meat were quit abundant. The only thing missing was some Korean Joasan paintings on the wall to cover the bare walls. The place was super clean and the staff was amazing. I would definitely give this place a go when in town. If for some reason you’ve never tried Korean food go there for a lunch intro and go back for dinner.

Google
If I could give this place ZERO stars, I definitely would. For the poor service, unprofessionalism of the owner and quality of food, the water should at least be free. The owner wouldn't let us bring in water even if it was for medicinal reasons so those also going with babies/kids etc., BEWARE. and was very rude and unprofessional about it. On top of that, it took so long for us to get service from our waitress and the restaurant was not busy at all. Maybe 4 smaller group tables and ours. She was too busy standing off to the side talking with the other male workers. Owner was nowhere to be found to help at all. If you're going to regulate your customers and also charge for water, you should at least be on the floor assisting your customers.

Google
The place rips you off with stupid, high, and unnecessary charges. A bill of $255 BEFORE tax and they still wanted a $40 tip. The food wasn’t all that great for that high of a charge. They also charged you for water per bottle which should be free and given to you in a water bottle from Costco which is illegal. The staff were rude when we complained and wouldn’t bother in trying to understand. Do not go here if you plan to get good food for a reasonable price.

PK Lee

Google
Customer service was ok! The food was fresh and price was reasonable. Our grill didn’t cook as fast even though it was on high. We sat around waiting for our food to slowly cook most of the time. They had a limit of 90 mins and with a slow grill we were able to only put in 3 rounds of meat within that time. I noticed after the 90 mins the waiter just walks pass the table and don’t even offer if they can get you more food because they’re probably waiting for you leave.

TaLee Vang

Google
First of all the employees do not greet you. If there waiting too long for your order while they are there they seems to have a attitude. I think they need to work on not just pushing customers to order what they need but to make customers feel comfortable. To pay that amount I really need to see alot of improvement in customer service. Please be aware.

Yelp
The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly, we came for lunch and were seated right away. We got the all you can eat lunch bbq and had so much fun customizing our experience! There is a cold item bar where you can get things to bbq like mushrooms and onions and so on and you can also get glass noodles and kimchi. The meat is so good! We got spicy pork belly, spare ribs, bulgogi and shrimp. Bbqing your own meat is ridiculously fun and we were able to eat at a leisurely pace and chat. It was so relaxing not to be rushed through a meal!

Yelp
The food can't be bad because I cooked it myself. That's right, it's an all you can eat Korean BBQ that brings you uncooked meat, poultry, and seafood on large platters and you cook it on your table grill. They have a self serve area where you get your Kimchi, and assorted vegetables to grill as well. Today when we visited, they only had one waiter in in duty it got pretty busy so service to our table was really slow. It wasn't the waiters fault though rather management just being as cheap as possible. It's not a quiet place so it's ok to have a good conversation with people you dine with to let go a little and laugh and just have a good time. One turn off was the manager in the tightly pulled back bun, was sneezing into her hands over a bowl of rice. It didn't look like she washed her hands. And as the poor waiter was running around serving all she was doing was standing there in the front of the restaurant scowling at the customers making sure that everyone was being served, which is good but she didn't help the poor waiter. Which in my opinion was bad. But kind of like a two edged sword so to speak, I sure didn't want her sneezing into my spicy pork belly.

Erica S.

Yelp
4-5 stars the only thing I can knock them on is the employee standing by our table. Overall I would recommend.

Yelp
I love going during their lunch hours, many people say there's better but for what Fresno has and what they offer, I will still be coming back. 20 per person not including the soda and side of rice, they are petty quick with bringing plates of meat. They have a small section of veggies, lettuce and some kimchi

Yelp
Worst Korean BBQ restaurant I've ever been to! Service was terrible as there is only 1 server for the whole restaurant. There are also no vents at the tables or air conditioning inside, so dining here was extremely miserable and uncomfortable with a grill firing away directly in front of you. When we went outside to our hot car after our meal, it didn't feel anything different than being inside the restaurant! The meats were ok, however, we sometimes couldn't find the server to take our order. Salad and sides such as banchan are self-service from a buffet table. Aside from the seaweed salad, most of their banchan or appetizer foods like japchae were bland and tasteless. They also charge $1 for a bottle of water as there is no iced water or refills on water, as well as a 4% credit card fee. They charge $35 per adult (doesn't include sodas/water/drinks) on the weekends or during dinner, and it's not worth it! Will definitely not be coming back the next time I'm in town! Go to Vegas or SoCal for better Korean BBQ experiences!!

Jane B.

Yelp
Very limited salad bar.. portions too large ... we wanted to try other items.. there is a charge if you do not finish and ask for other items. They asked if we wanted water... of course we did, they bring Crystal Geyser bottles without telling us there was a $1 a bottle charge... it appears on the bill. Restaurant was not very clean. We won't be going back.

Yelp
It was interesting. You're able to cook your own food but for the price, I think it's a little bit, it's pricey. We still left kind of hungry

Yelp
Strong IDGAF vibes here: Been a few times before, during and after Covid. I can't recommend this joint to anyone. Almost everything is mediocre at best to include how you are welcomed, cleanliness of the restaurant, promptness and attentiveness to your table, quality of the food etc... Nothing spectacular to warrant a higher tiered meal price, but I think they did away with that and it's just one option now. $35 per adult person. Pre covid it was $20 for the bottom tier. If inflation rose 11-14% and minimum wage went from $11 to $16 (45%) then it should be about $25 now (25% price increase based on inflationary data) but it's $35, which is a 75% price increase. My 3 kids are counted as adults (they go by height of child) so the tab is $250 after tax, 20% tip, obligatory mochi for the kids and one fountain drink apiece. No alcohol. Simply not justifiable for that price and that quality.

Yelp
We have visited this location a couple times now. It's more convenient since the Clovis one is farther from the 99. First experience was mediocre but this second time was better. The waiter was friendly and answered all questions we had.

Michael H.

Yelp
This place needs to be shut down! They don't have a good quality or a fresh meat. The manager needs to recognize his faults and mistakes, and they need to work on their cleanliness in bathrooms and tables. If they want business, FRESH MEATS AND NO WORMS

Yelp
Loved the food it was very tasteful very savory! Everyone was very attentive and friendly! 10/10 would recommend! Everything was very clean ambience was great

Yelp
It's pretty much the same as the Shila in Clovis, except with a salad bar you can walk up to. All You Can Eat KBBQ. Can't beat it. Brisket, bulgogi, kimchi, steak, it's all really great. I put a review on the other Shila in Clovis. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
I drive an hour away to come eat here alot. Lunch prices are unbeatable. I have experienced both a slow day and packed day and the service is always the same. You're paying for the ability to over eat meat not customer service honestly. The waiters do the best they can to try to get to every table fast so I dont blame them for the quality of the food. There is a card fee but when you pay cash its cheaper. I personally dont mind paying $1 for bottled water knowing it's filtered so that's not an issue. I have tried the clovis location as well but this one is still my favorite.

Yelp
It had been awhile since my last visit here. Food: -Buffet/Salad bar: (Good) Kimchi & potato salad are always good! Cucumber kimchi was good too but seemed old. Tables still have savory pancakes upon seating, still very good as I remember. (Bad) Japchae noodles were over cooked so noodles kept breaking. Radish kimchi was good but you can tell it was going bad or pickled too long since it was soggy and getting translucent. Mushroom salad had old funky taste. -Meat: (Good) Their marinate is always on point! Meat cuts I'd recommend are beef brisket, spicy marinated pork bulgogi, and spicy marinated LA galbi. I've always loved their tofu soup as well. Very comforting, a mix of Korean tofu soup with shin ramen powder taste. (Bad) Ordered their pork belly and it was sooo thin like thick bacon!!! The pork belly cut was literally HALF of what it used to be. Rib eye also was a cheap thin cut. Service: There was literally about 15 tables on a Thursday night, 2 hours until closing with only ONE server. I literally felt so bad for the girl while the host or boss just walking bath and forth or watching the front. BUT our server got everything we need and checked up on us often as she was running back and forth the whole time. Even though she was the only server, I don't think there was a lack of service! Good attitude and service from the server. I only went here because it's the only kbbq AYCE grill in Fresno. Owner increased the prices but decreased the quality of sides and meat. I would probably come here for lunch but dinner, probably no.
google avatar

Peter L.

Yelp
Came here for lunch today with coworkers. Not busy, not like before. I remembered pre Covid we used to have to wait. Selection is smaller, drinks and ice cream are extra. But now a days you can not beat $20 ayce lunch. Menu attached. fyi... the Fresno location all the side dishes are self served. In Clovis, you have to keep asking them to bring you refills. Can not bring outside drink and no tap water served. You have to order soft drink or bottle water. Tofu soup and steam egg are good and hot. Each table get a pancake when seated. I like the meat selection. Will come back for lunch.
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
I just come here because it's the only KBBQ I know of in Fresno. In the beginning it was good but I feel like the quality has dropped. The last time I went the potato salad tasted like box mashed potatoes, I'm not against it, but maybe make it so it doesn't taste like it came from a box lol it would be so much better if they would have things like intestine, cheese corn, rice paper, etc. I wish it was better, I have to go out of town to satisfy my KBBQ craving. I do like that they have a small buffet like station so you can grab your own veggies and sides. The only thing you have to ask for is the proteins. Service is helpful but not always friendly. The space is big but it fits 6 per table because of the grill so if you come with a group larger than 6 you will have to get more than one table.
google avatar

Richard W.

Yelp
Food is mid...overpriced. Got sit to a dirty table with a dirty grill, asked the server to wipe it down for us. They responded, "that's how it suppose to be." Both locations are the same, don't even waste time here. I would rather drive to NorCal or SoCal for Korean bbq

Yelp
We were headed back home from touring colleges for our youngest and was looking for a nice spot to have lunch at. I love AYCE KBBQ and anytime my kids say they are starving, I either think of AYCE KBBQ or Dim Sum. So we were about 40-60 miles away and I found this place on Yelp. The restaurant looked like it was fairly new. It was pretty clean and when we first we walked in you see all the banchans on the right hand side. They have a good amount of side items and raw veggies. My favorite is definitely the spicy cucumber as always. Our meal also came with steamed eggs and why wouldn't we get it! We absolutely love steamed eggs. Food was good; however, service was super slow. There was probably about 6-8 tables being served by one person, so when we wanted a refill or more meat, we had to wait til the server made his rounds to every single table. Yes, I understand we aren't the only table, but they need to get more help. This is an AYCE place that I believe is timed, so that wouldn't work out if we had a large party. That was the first time we have ever visited, so I don't know if my experience was normal. I would love to come back if I was ever in the area, to see if service was much better, but I don't see myself going out of my way to come here. Other than that, staff was friendly, the ice cream thing is weird. You have to pay it separately and show your receipt before you can get your ice cream even if you literally just handed your card. Anyway, ice cream was nice and I do recommend it!

Yelp
I regret not coming to eat here sooner. I let some of the other reviews deter me. But I was not the least bit disappointed. Have I had better kbbq? Yes, but I've also had much worse. The meat was all fine, just fine. Short rib was my favorite, it was delicious, and the whole shrimp as well. I didn't love the tofu soup, but come on that was a side dish anyway. The rest of the banchan was good. I loved grilling up some veggies. The server was great and very attentive. Nobody was bothered that I was a solo diner, and I was surprised to see they didn't charge me a solo diner premium, so I left a nice tip. Only thing that caught me off guard was they charge for water and it comes bottled. But hey, better safe than sorry I guess. Overall, I'm happy with my experience and I'm sure I'll be back.

Yelp
Amazing last minute date night spot! Food was fresh, sides were delicious, service was fast and welcoming! Definitely coming back soon!

Kit R.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to get Korean BBQ, hands down! They have an all you can eat with PLENTY of protein options to choose from; a few different types of beef, chicken, pork and seafood. Also the veggie bar is always stocked, plenty of fresh veggies to grab to pair with. I love the kimchi. Staff are very kind and attentive here, making sure to check on if you want more protein, keeping an eye on you Incase you don't know what you're doing (which was my case trying to cook squid for the first time, they were so lovely to help!) I love Shila's, as do many people since it can tend to get busy; however there are lots of tables and I've never had to wait to be seated. Very lowkey vibe, and the macaroon ice cream sandwiches are a sweet treat if you have the stomach room!
google avatar

Tessa J.

Yelp
Why is this place still in business?! First of all, they do not serve water. If you want water, you have to bottled water. The meat is low quality meats. They are stingy with more expensive meats. When you ask for chicken, then they'll give you like 5 pounds of it at a time. The play has bad ventilation. Their side dishes are not even edible. Do not waste your money on this horrible place! Do not recommend!!!

Stephanie L.

Yelp
I went here not really knowing what I was getting into, so that is one thing to consider while reading this review. The server's provided prompt and friendly service. The person at the front was Not so friendly or personable. When i read salad bar, silly me, thought it meant what you might find in a pizza place. Lol but it's just raw vegetables to grill. Fortunately i went with some people who knew what to do or I would have been totally lost. You are not given a lot of instruction. It's very pricey and I don't think it was worth it.
google avatar

Jesse V.

Yelp
Had a great time here; service was wonderful. Our server was very attentive. The tables were comfy, the salad bar is a great addition. Best deal in KBBQ. Plenty of choices at the salad bar the kimchi could use some upgrading.
google avatar

Christian G.

Yelp
The past reviews I saw made me a little iffy about coming here. My girlfriend wanted Korean bbq for Valentine's Day so we decided to come here. The wait was a little long but I can't blame them because it seemed like the spot to go to. Even with a full house service was great and even though it's three meats at one time, they came and asked what other meats we wanted and brought it quick. We came again on Wednesday and still had great service. Water is a dollar but is bottled and if that's dealbreaker then you probably shouldn't be eating out.
google avatar

Chris F.

Yelp
They have charges that's questionable and unfortunately the cashier can't explain to me what it's for. Also I found this tong in the men's restroom. My stomach turned after getting close to it. I'm never coming back here. I can just imagine how sanitary they are with the utensils they provide.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Came for the first time since pre-covid and this place has really gone downhill. The quality of the meat and the banchans is no longer there, and they serve smaller portions of meat now. The service is unfortunately the worst part, only one waitress to serve everyone and she isn't very nice. I never had the "steamed egg" before and asked if she can describe it for me because I wasn't sure if it was like scrambled eggs or a very soft egg with the yolk still runny. She looked annoyed and condescendingly replied "It's literally a steamed egg." I was surprised by how she responded so I paused for a moment before saying "okay nevermind then." Obviously that bothered her and she ended up ignoring us for the remainder of our dinner and wouldn't come around for drink refills or to take any meat orders for us.

Colby J.

Yelp
Don't go here this kbbq place cuts you short on meat they also turn down the grill to try to slow down how much you're able to cook the longer you're there. They also don't offer water on the house they sell Costco water bottles for profit which is ILLEGAL! They should be fined for this by the better business bureau

Alan C.

Yelp
This review is based on our experience at the Clovis location. There were several meats to choose from but our group of 4 enjoyed the brisket, short ribs and spicy chicken. We did try other meats but they were so-so. I was not impressed by the side dishes coming out in styrofoam containers. On the plus side you could request more of each if you liked. The restaurant does have a policy of charging extra if you order more meat and don't use it so plan accordingly in your order. Overall, I thought it was overpriced at $35 for adults. Perhaps if the pricing was based upon what you ordered vs a lump price, it might be more reasonable. A couple in our party ordered more meat later in the sitting to feel like they got their moneys worth. I've only been to 3 other Korean BBQ restaurants, but if this was my first experience I might not try it again.

Marissa A.

Yelp
First impression of this restaurant was that the staff does not want your business. They seem to be more focused on profit over people. I walked in with my reusable water bottle and the woman at the front desk told me I could not bring it inside. I had to go back to my car and leave it. They do not offer water but they will sell you bottled water or soda. The food was mid. The meat was bland and the buffet was nothing to write home about. No ventilation and the place gets very smokey fast. People were coughing due to the smoke. One of the worst parts: The server insisted my 10 year old daughter pay as an adult due to the front desk woman seeing us walk in and could tell with a quick glance that my daughter measured over 60 inches tall. I told her she was wrong and that my daughter only measured 53 inches tall and lo and behold, we go back to the measure tape they have on the wall at the entrance and my daughter was quite a few inches away from being 60 inches tall. What in the actual hell is wrong with these people? We had to pay for water and pay a credit card fee. We will unfortunately never come back or recommend this place to anyone.

Ia V.

Yelp
Place has gone down the drain. Every steak on the menu should be relabeled as chuck roast. Every dish had no flavor. The tofu soup was spicy water soup with tofu bits and mushrooms. The kimchi used to be good, but now, they shouldn't be calling it kimchi. It should be called spicy Napa cabbage leaves instead. I used to look forward to the egg dish at kbbq places but this one was a big disappointment. The only good thing is, it came in traditional cookware. There was only one girl serving the whole place, I felt bad for her but for the rest of us too. It took a good 10-15 mins before she had a chance to start our drink order.
google avatar

Debra K.

Yelp
I think it is good to have a Korean BBQ place in Fresno. Meat quality was good and other food that comes with it. But I can tell it can be better in every way. And price is not too expensive. But I hope it is more welcoming by lighting the place brighter.
google avatar

Justine E.

Yelp
As the only Korean barbecue restaurant in Fresno, they really don't have to have high standards and really don't even try to improve their side dishes.

Yelp
Has anyone else gotten severely ill after eating at this W. SHAW Ave location? I was here for my daughter's small engagement dinner on 2/17/24. I was the only person in my party of 4 who ate the seafood salad at their buffet, so perhaps that's what caused my illness. I've reached out to the restaurant to let them know and was told, by Peter the Manager, I couldn't prove it was their fault even after offering to show them my medical records. If anyone else has ever got ill after eating here please complain to them and to our local consumer food program. I ate here Saturday, 5pm, got sick several hours later. I visited the emergency room by Sunday 7pm after being sick all night and day. I had to pay for a nurse to come to my home for iv hydration on Tues because I had lost so much fluid and was so weak. **Update: I tested positive for Campylobacter bacteria, a foodborne disease.

GoDonut G.

Yelp
Food was good fresh. Ambience was good people eating, plenty of parking. Service: Excellent, what made it exceptional was our server, she was very kind and attentive even as she hustled to serve the other tables. Shout out to Sabrina. Suggestions: make grill bigger. For a bigger group.

Sill C.

Yelp
Service is terrible. Worst place as a kbbq establishment. Came in as a group of 4 in Wednesday around 1:45, the emo girl with thick black eyeliner and pale skin was super rude. Never eating there again solely based on service

Emily B.

Yelp
The bulgogi is so good! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they serve the side dishes in styrofoam cups, I thinks $35 per person would be enough to get really dishes.

Randall R.

Yelp
After going to many AYCE KBBQ restaurants, this one was the WORST. Poor service, dirty surfaces, disgusting food, and overpriced. There is a reason this place has poor reviews. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Lucia G.

Yelp
My son, fiance, and me came a few months ago but as we got our tab. We noticed they charged for my son, he did not eat a single thing since he has autism and he's very picky about his food. We asked the manager to take it off the tab, she literally had the nerve to say " next time do not bring your son, leave him home." Never again will I go to shilas not only disrespected me, but also my fiance and son. Not autism friendly AT ALL!!!!!!

Barton T.

Yelp
Great quality meat, very nice service. They were very friendly and make me feel very welcome
google avatar

Selena C.

Yelp
Place is over priced, paid $82 bucks (2 people) with very small quantity of meat. The quality of the meat wasn't the best either. Would rather drive to SoCal to eat Kbbq, where they have cheaper price and better meat quality and quantity.

Dawn t.

Yelp
We've been there every time we needed some KBBQ fix, we've been their customers for more than 5 years. For some reason they never have enough servers. I tried to just look pass the mediocre service, but today, I just couldn't. For some reason, every time I order beef short ribs, it just get replaced by beef bulgogi, may be they think customers don't know their stuff. I wouldn't have felt bad if they ran out but as I was walking out, I saw the other tables had their ribs on the grill, WTH? Yeah, I guess I have to start looking for a new KBBQ place to go to.

Emilio R.

Yelp
Had a horrible experience. Food- Our first time here. I was unaware that you make the food yourself. It felt as if cross contamination was an issue due to the grill being small w/o space to cook everything. The few sides they had were mediocre. The grill was small for two people let alone 4 people. and they only allowed three meats at a time. Service- They only had one server for that place. She was overworked, it took about 10-15 to get her to get drink orders. We didn't stay. We couldn't stay.

Yelp
So I came with 4 other people from church to have lunch after church service and we where forced to pay dinner price when we where there a little after one which should have been lunch price then I notice that they attached at 18% tip because they said that there was 12 people in our group and we only had 5!!! I had to bring my bank into this cause we where threatened with he cops had we not paid the bill!!! I will never come to this establishment again!!!! Thieves!!!!

Yelp
Do not walk, RUN away from this establishment. We used to love coming here pre-pandemic but this place has seriously gone down hill. Management is crass, classless, and no regard for the well-being of their employees. We were seated and that bald old man who sat us saw my water bottle and straight up told me I couldn't have that in here SO THEY COULD CHARGE YOU $1 BOTTLED WATER so I walked my ass back to the car to put it away (this was a solid red flag). Then we noticed the gold cover for the vent was not cleaned and inquired for a replacement to which our calm waitress asked, who seemed to be the manager (or owner, from her body language and demeanor towards the waitress), about switching it out and received a non-verbal response of shaking her head as if we were inconveniencing HER to conduct a SANITARY practice at this place because WHY WOULD YOU NOT CLEAN THE VENT THAT SUCKS UP THE FOOD??? And then we asked if we could be moved to a table with a clean vent and we're told these tables were not open? We decided to stay since we drove an hour to come to this specific establishment and had no knowledge of nearby solid choices for dinner at this hour. They (the two elder folk running the place) only staff ONE server for the entire dinner shift to manage over a dozen tables. BTW how is that sustainable? Gurl, you can do way better than this place. At one point I tried flagging down the older lady who was sitting down at a table taking what seemed to be a break with the older man for bloody refill of my drink and she kept seeing me but yelled over to the ONE waitress after getting tired of not getting off her ass to help me herself. The waitress was gracious and kind with each interaction. Lastly, we would notice at random the smell of BLEACH/CLOROX SPRAY and realized it was coming from the elder man bussing tables. Clear health violation as you're only supposed to use wet towels dipped in the red buckets of water with sanitizing solution. Filthy bathroom. Hope another KBBQ prospect opens an alternative between the Bay Area and Fresno.

Yelp
Sad to say quality has fallen to the ground. The food has gone down when it first started. Can't wait for a new Korean bbq in Fresno. Food -5 out of 5. Most server that take your order are indeed very nice, but sad that there only one most of the time. How can you be the boss lady in the front and not help your server. The boss lady that greet people doesn't help serve?! Sad to say. So be nice the actual server. Service 1 out of 5.

Yelp
I wish I could give them 0 starts. The manager was very rude and nasty. Bathrooms smelled and looked disgusting. You have to ask them for a grill change or they will just leave it black. The manager was very rude and didn't care about this establishment or customers just the money.

Yelp
My parents, son and I came to Shila for lunch yesterday. Being new here in town, we searched to see if there were any Korean restaurants here. Seems like this is the only one. So we gave it a try! ALL YOU CAN EAT MEAT. 4 STARS Surprisingly good. Coming from LA, where they have the best of the AYCE quality meat, I didn't think the quality here would be so great. Plus the price was so cheap I really didn't expect much! PRICE FOR AYCE! 5 STARS! Weekday lunch was just $17! BBQ PORK BULGOGI 4.5 STARS The pork was flavorful, just enough spice & delicious. They give u A LOT too!!! AMOUNT OF FOOD THEY BRING OUT 5 STARS! You don't have to wait forever on them to bring the meat out when you run out! They give a very full plate each time! PORK BELLY 4.5 STARS Delicious!!! This was probably the favorite for me, my mom & my son! Very good! KALBI 3.5-4 STARS Just because we are spoiled, and have had wagyu kalbi etc... it doesn't compare, however, for being able to get Korean food out here, it definitely is good enough, and hits the spot! UNLIMITED BAN CHAN 3.5-4 STARS the KIMCHI was actually really good! They had glass noodles Radish Kimchi Cucumber Kimchi MORE FREE SIDES They give you free Egg soup, and Miso soup. They give you as much rice as you want. You have to ask for garlic & jalapeño slices. They give u PLENTY! We had to ask for the spicy sweet chilli paste sauce since I don't use the sesame oil/ salt sauce for the meat. All the sauces are good! They are good at changing out the grill when we ordered more meat. For all four of us we only had to order twice! My son also eats so much too, but only 1 refill order was needed! If you are craving Korean BBQ, I recommend Shila! We enjoyed our visit. Hope this helps! :)
