Google
Probably the best ramen in Miami, delicious and flavorful. The broth is very tasty, and pork is seasoned very well. Service is super fast. The place is located in Julia and Henry on the 3rd floor. They have a few tables by their stand.

Google
I had the spicy Kagoshima Ramen and it wasn’t spicy at all. The soup itself was delicious but was hoping it would’ve lived up to the name. Ambiance was cool. Awesome music playing for some entertainment. Lots of different venues to choose from for different palettes. Rices were reasonable. We went during a Monday night at 8pm so it wasn’t too crowded. Seatings are at a premium if you’re going during peak hours. Cleanliness was good. Overall it’s a good food court to check out when you’re in Miami.

Google
The broth is 10/10 but the pork was dry and didn’t have much flavor to it 1/10. the noodles were also too thick and chewy 2/10. The eggs also are just regular boiled eggs not the traditional ramen brown eggs. If it wasn’t for the broth I would give it one star.

Google
The best ramen I have tried in Miami! The broth is very flavorful, the meat is sautéed prior to being placed into the broth so the meat is not soggy, the noodles are cooked to near perfection, the boiled egg was still runny, and the portions are decent. The price is a little steep for a ramen but, I promise you will not be disappointed. Plus, I love that it is located in a food hall so you have multiple options for dessert! Will be going back!

Google
Best Roman I ever had. Prepared nice and neatly. The broth is so got the pork was seasoned perfectly. It’s a must stop by

Google
Tried the kagoshima tonkotsu ramen. The balance and thickness of the broth is amazing. Some of the best I've tried. Loads of fresh veggies, egg cooked properly. Chashu was grilled and delicious. I'm sure the spicy offerings are just as good. Quite a little gem here in a food court. Well, worth a visit if you are a ramen fan. Service is fast too. Seating is a little tight and personal, so nab a seat quickly.

Google
This location was actually better than the Davie location. When I went to the Davie location the food was good but it was messy. The Miami location is much cleaner and you get to watch the process of them making the ramen. I met the owner and he was so nice. This is located on the second floor of the Julia and Henry Food Hall. Definitely worth checking out.

Google
The shoyu ramen keeps me coming back. No words necessary, the broth is flavorful, fatty, delicious, and all without being too heavy or overbearing.

Yelp
This was located in the Julia & Henry's food hall. Great ramen but expensive! Pork was tender, egg was cooked to perfection, and broth was flavorful. Would come back.

Yelp
This small stand inside Julia and Henry's offers delicious traditional ramen. The food is delicious and traditional. It is definitely expensive but being in Miami that's is to be expected. They don't offer many items but the ramen choices are delicious and always nicely made and presented. The food hall offers a fun and casual atmosphere. I come here everytime I'm craving ramen. It is a solid optionfor ramen in Miami.

Yelp
Had a good experience here inside Julia and Henry's. Shimuja really is that good. Their space is small and there were only two people working, but they were really cooking. We ordered quick and it didn't take too long for our food to come out. The portion was large enough for two and the cost was $20 for the plate! Everything was hot and looked great. The curry sauce was amazing. The main menu is six ramens but they had two curry's maybe seasonally or on special. I'd love to come back and try another dish.

Yelp
It's crazy how many good review this place has. I mean the ramen was okay. Nothing really crazy delicious. My pork had a lot of fat. However, the service was pretty quick and professional. The ambiance was nice, clean and a good spot to check out other food spots near by.

Yelp
Julia and Henry's is a foodie's paradise, catering to those of us who struggle to decide what to eat - because let's be real, why choose when you can have it all? But let me tell you about my post-spa revelation: Shimuja Ramen. It's like they plucked the ramen straight from my dreams and served it up piping hot! Their key lime ramen is a game-changer - a hearty bowl of chicken ramen adorned with lettuce, red onions, green onions, and a zesty lemon wedge on top. It's a flavor explosion that hits all the right notes, leaving you feeling utterly satisfied. This place doesn't just meet my ramen cravings - it surpasses them, taking my taste buds on a journey they never want to end. So, if you're on the hunt for the ultimate ramen experience, look no further - Shimuja Ramen is where it's at! Trust me, you won't be disappointed - it's ramen perfection in every bite!

Yelp
If you love delicious Japanese food, then this is the spot for you! I definitely recommend getting the spicy Kagoshima, it's well worth it. It's nice and spicy, but not overbearing and the broth is so flavorful you won't want to stop. Enjoy!

Yelp
Located inside Julia & Henry's in Miami The tonkatsu ramen was not bad; flavorful and smelled delicious. It's a bit expensive since it's Miami so you're paying Miami prices.

Yelp
Expensive bowl of tasteless ramen. So disappointing choice. Service was fine and ambience was great. As a local; don't plan to return.

Yelp
After having the kagoshima multiple times, it's worn off but still, a favorite to take friends and family to wow them with one of the best ramen spots in Miami. Probably the best vendor at J&H. Service is quick and on top. Lively at night. Recommend the third floor seating facing the bar.

Yelp
My favorite ramen so far is not just in Miami but in the whole world. Is just a perfect mix of flavors in a big bowl I just came to this food court for this place is so good everything in the ramen is perfect. Noddles are cooked perfectly and depending on what you get the flavor and level of spicy can change my favorite is the spicy one the cook line can always help you and give you good recommendations. Service is a fast, good price and the ambiance is nice and casual. You have a couple Bars and dessert options after eating at this delicious place. Live music and fresh decor.

Yelp
My favorite ramen spot... I don't care about the drive to Davie just for their home made gyozas and delicious pork ramen. Service is always fast and very friendly, and they just opened a Doral location which is amazing!

Yelp
We were in downtown Miami for 2 nights, and after eating cruiseship food for the last 8 days, we were desperate for a good bowl of Ramen. A quick Google search brought us to this place, and we are very thankful it did. Located inside Julia and Henry's food market, amongst 5 floors of various eateries, lives this gem of a Ramen shop. And when I say gem, I mean a freakin gem. I originally wanted the Tsukeman Ramen, but it was not available, and I'm not even mad. I had the Kagoshima special Tonkatsu Ramen that was delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful and stayed hot in its ceramic bowl the entire time. The thin noodles were packed in the bowl and cooked to perfection. Soft boiled seasoned eggs were exactly how you want it in a bowl of Ramen. And the pork, OMG, had a wonderful sear on one side and was very tender. There was also a handful of fried onion strips which I've never had in Ramen before, that complimented everything nicely. Seriously, this was one of the best (if not the best) bowls of Ramen I've ever consumed. We are from San Diego and have many great Ramen shops to choose from, but I'm not kidding when I say, this bowl beat them all. It was truly perfection and we are so glad to have found it. BTW, the food market is incredible. There were so many types of food to choose from! And a massive bar smack dab in the center. If we get time this trip, we'll be back for sure.

Yelp
On my way home from Spanish classes at MDC, I stopped by Julia and Henry's for a late dinner to take home. It was almost 9:30 and Shimuja was still open, and with the cold weather that day, a bowl of hot ramen sounded like a great idea. I got the spicy Satsuma Tonkotsu to go and although it added a slight wait, I really appreciated that the pork was freshly seared and prepared. The packaging was fantastic and held up during my 20 minute walk home. They separated the broth from the ingredients and wrapped it extremely well to avoid spilling. They provided both chopsticks and a robust spoon for the broth. As far as the ramen itself, it was absolutely delicious! The egg was cooked perfectly with a jammy center, the pork was flavorful, and the broth was rich and creamy. Definitely will go back again!

Yelp
I finally made my way up to Davie to try our @shimuja and might I say, it was worth it. I love me some ramen and they definitely delivered. I went with the Kagoshima Ramen: Tonkotsu broth with wavy thin egg noodles topped with scallions, sprouts, extra kikurage mushrooms, seasoned half boiled egg, tempura burdock, cabbage, carrots, seaweed, fish cake and extra chashu pork. Don't forget a good nood pull! The service was excellent. The ambiance is good for all occasions.

Yelp
I absolutely hate writing negative reviews because I do believe they try to make a good product, but holy crap that was the worst ramen I've ever had. I was excited to try Shimuja (located inside Julia & Henry's/3rd floor) based on the reviews. I ordered a Kagoshima special tonkatsu spicy. It was not spicy at all, the pork was chewy and flavorless. I've never had a ramen with carrots inside, it was like a soupy spring roll. And $33 for a bowl is ridiculous, needless to say I'll never return.

Yelp
Had this ramen a few days ago and wow. It was an amazing bowl of pork, spicy ramen with egg. The broth had a perfect balance of heat and richness, with just the right amount of spice to keep things exciting. The noodles were cooked to perfection--tender yet firm. The egg added a creamy texture that elevated the dish even further. The toppings were fresh and well-seasoned, making every bite a flavorful experience. If you're a fan of spicy ramen, this place is definitely worth a visit! The person taking orders was kind and efficient. The place is in Julia and Henrys and it's nice to be eat in a cute spot without the rush of jumping up for the next table to sit.

Yelp
I had a craving for Ramen but here in Miami I was very hesitant, but being inside a good hall made my decision easier as there were other options to weigh. Glad I chose this place I had the Non spicy Ramen and it was really good, not quite the West Coast ramen scene ramen, but solid no less. The pork belly was good but I'm my opinion could use another 2-3hrs cook time to make it melt in your mouth, the noodles were thin but had good chew. Broth was very flavorful and full of depth. This is a solid ramen joint with very quick service and everything prepared right in from of your eyes. This guy works hard! I'll be back when I'm in town

Yelp
I am a huge ramen fan and therefore I am always on the search for the perfect bowl of ramen. The bowl that once the broth hits your mouth it has umami. I lived in Seattle and when I moved back to Miami, I really missed ramen. No place in Miami hit the spot...that is until I tried Shimuja. Shimuja blew me away. The broth was creamy and spicy. The noodles were the perfect tenderness and the pork had the perfect ratio of fat to meat. The bowl was huge and very filling. I absolutely will come here whenever I need a ramen fix. The only downside to this place is that it is located in a very busy food hall with no parking so it can be tedious to come here.

Yelp
I'm SHOCKED that I was able to find a good ramen spot in Miami. After being here for a year I thought it was impossible to find. Luckily it's been gloomy so I decided to try this place out on DoorDash. I got the spicy satsuma with a extra egg on the side. Broth is thick and flavorful, which every other ramen spot down here lacks. Not too salty either. Noodles are perfect consistency, al dente so they don't get over cooked in the hot soup and absorb the broth. The spicy sauce it comes with on the side is 5/5. I'm subtracting a star because the egg is not marinated, it's cooked perfectly but needs to be marinated. They also skimp out on the meat. The meat has good flavor so I'm sad there wasn't a decent portion. I will for sure be ordering again hehe meow

Yelp
I love shimuja ramen but this location was a miss. There was no flavor it in the broth. I asked for spice on the side and it wasn't enough. Service was fast.

Yelp
I was in the mood for Ramen; and decided to go try the Shimuja location in Julia and Henry's. It's good to have a location closer to home and in a wonderful venue like Julia and Henrys. I got to try both the Satsuma special, and the Spicy Satsuma special. I enjoyed the Spicy Satsuma special, but unfortunately the Satsuma special wasn't the greatest, and disappointed a bit. It had all the richness of the ramen at the bottom and the broth did not live up to my expectations from my previous visits at the davie location. Additionally, I was told that the Kagoshima special and the satsuma special is the same ramen except that the size changes and the Kagoshima is larger. I believe that to be false, as it makes no sense to have two of the same menu items be the same and just change the name for the size. Maybe it was an off day. I'll give it a try again some other time because I believe in Shimuja.

Yelp
Tonkotsu ramen was oishii!! Not too salty broth was deep. Fast service and fun ambience
google avatar

Pauline L.

Yelp
Over priced and tiny portions. The pork is the saddest tiny dry little slices I've ever seen (see picture). Because they were so tiny they were pretty dry since they're usually torched after. Only reason why it's 2 star and not 1 is the soup was good (not mind blowing). I would be very embarrassed if I was the owner.
google avatar

Jay B.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place, but the ramen came out cold and overstuffed with toppings. I ordered the most expensive option, supposed to be spicy, the ramen wasn't spicy at all.
google avatar

Jeffrey F.

Yelp
I ordered the spicy Tonkatsu and it was spicy hot and the broth was very good. I ate at the counter but I don't recommend it because it is very hot there from the stove and pots boiling and the hot lights. I would take the soup and go to a table if one is available as the food hall is very crowded. Everything tasted, homemade from scratch, and the noodles were cooked right in front of us in a huge pot, which was entertaining. This Ramin was the real deal and I would definitely recommend it.
google avatar

Felix J.

Yelp
Had the Kagoshima ramen and now I know where the BEST bowl of ramen is in Miami... right HERE! Super fast service and great views of this fun new spot!
google avatar

Zane P.

Yelp
This is the most perfect, robust ramen I've ever had. The spicy miso ramen is just perfect. The spice is perfectly balanced all the way through, it doesn't build it just stays a perfect level throughout your entire experience. This such a quaint but great spot in Julia and Henry's and I totally recommend that everyone goes here. One of the best meals I've had in Miami.

Yelp
We were out late on a Wednesday night looking for something nice to eat, we weren't planning on coming here well lets say none of us were mad the bold taste along with the freshness of the ramen veggies, broth it's to die for. I look forward to coming back for sure 10/10.

Yelp
Today was my first time at Julia & Henry's. I stopped by the Shimuja Ramen place because I saw a video on Instagram about the special ramen chef Keiichi Maemura, and I was extremely impressed by the taste of the ramen they served me. I got the Key Lime Ramen, that is their veggie option. It has a veggie broth, one boiled egg, green and purple onion and cabbage. They even asked me if I would like to add tofu! The broth was so delicious and refreshing, with a hint of that key lime, the ramen was perfectly served in a bowl and there was definitely a generous amount of ramen! Two people can share one bowl. I think price is extremely fair for what you're getting. My bowl was $18 and I was super full after I ate it. It was a cozy and heartwarming experience! 食べ物をありがとう

Rebeca R.

Yelp
It was my first time trying Ramen. I ordered the non spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, and it was an absolute dream. Every part of the plate was so flavorful, the broth was delicious and the serving was just right. The service was impecable, staff were so kind and helpful. At present, it is my #1 place to go for an authentic ramen. Shimuja is located on the third level (if I'm not mistaken) of the place called Julia and Henry's which has a nice ambiance.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing and authentic ramen. The original location is in Kagoshima, Japan. They managed to stay as authentic as possible with the ramen offered here. Pork buns and octopus blasts are amazing too! Even the veggie ramen here is out of this world!

Yelp
Went here 2 weeks ago, ordering was a breeze, our food came out quickly. The boy who took out our food kind of gave it to me to take to my table but the older man in charge, who I assume is the owner, was kind enough to take the bowls and walk them to our table. I this was very kind of him and made me really appreciate the meal a lot more, I can tell he cares about his restaurant. The meals were both very good, the normal ramen that my girlfriend was better in my opinion, just because in my ramen the fried burdock tasted burnt. It was my first time having it so I'm not sure if it's suppose to taste burnt but it did so I didn't eat it. Luckily it didn't affect the taste of the rest of the meal. The broth was delicious, exactly what I expect from good ramen, not too salty like other places and a good amount of meat in mine. My girlfriend complained that she didn't have enough meat and one of her pieces was mostly fat which she doesn't like. Also they only gave her half an egg, I think 22 dollars is enough to warrant a whole egg. The place itself is cramped but that's just because it's Julia & Henry so I wouldn't recommend coming in a bit group. Music was playing but too loud but again, not in their control. Overall the food was good, solid ramen, though for the price I think there shouldn't be burnt burdock and you should get a full egg. 3.5/5 Miami quality

Samuel P.

Yelp
The was no customer service, price was super high $26, taste was lackluster. Completely forgettable....actually I'll remember the bad ramen for $26. Full stop

Yelp
This place is excellent, please do not consider reviews from people @ https://www.checkpleasefl.com/restaurants/shimuja/. Read their reviews . Total losers that look for imperfection in a place where food is as good as it gets . You could serve their dishes in any high end restaurant . Please get a life . A restaurant should be judged on the food . Not anything else !Please continue to judge others from the lens of a lonely person seeking affirmation of your opinion. It doesn't matter . How perfect are you ?

Yelp
these guys are awesome. They have two killer vegetarian Ramen options, which are just absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place overall.
