The Best Restaurants for Korean Barbecue in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Shin Yaki Niku Japanese BBQ, previously known as Napal Baji BBQ, is a popular late-night pub and Korean Barbecue restaurant. The restaurant aims to embody the atmosphere of the ‘80s with live music and affordable food. The menu features three all-you-can-eat options with barbecue items like brisket, pork belly, and teriyaki chicken and appetizers including kimchi fried rice, tteokbokki, and shrimp tempura. Plus, the drinks are fun — with pitchers of blueberry lemon drops and pina coladas poised for sharing." - Janna Karel

The quality of the food was good. The pineapple was out of a can but was still ok. The meat cuts were marinated and tasty.

First time trying Shin Yakiniku and honestly, it was everything and more. The flavor was there, the meat was tender and TAKOYAKI is a MUST HAVE! Melona for dessert was tasty! Everything was delicious and our server was awesome! Will be back! :)

This place is amazing! We went to other kbbq places looking to be sat and were told there was a 2-4 hour wait. It was crazy. Found this place on the map close to where we were, called, and they let us know they could sit us right away. Not only was the food really amazing, but it's basically a kbbq that also has sushi and ramen! Whaaaaaat?!?!?! Service was stellar and food came really fast. This is a new fave spot for me!

I ate pozole before coming here and left hungry. I have never been this disappointed in my life. No water refill on the water the whole time. I think there was one server for the entire place. There was ppl that came after us and left before us. The service bell would ring and they would just turn it off and not check on us.

Google
We came for the first time last night and it was really good they had lots of options and the meats were seasoned very well! The sides were tasty and spicy ramen was delicious. If you get sushi upgrade all your party pays the up charge per person so make sure everyone gets to try it! We all got different things and split with eachother and it was well worth the price!

Google
The food was good and will return. Some stuff we ordered never came out or was very slow getting to us. THEY DONT TELL YOU THIS SO HEADS UP. If 1 person in the party adds the upgrade to their meal, they add it to everyone's check. So $14 added to our check with no reason (we had party of 4). It has a cool vibe inside with a open concept in the middle area.

The price point is awesome! The menus are tiered and has so many options forbsides, soup, meat and sushi. just $29.95, and add AYCE sushi for only $4.95. The marinade on the meat was on point, and the grill gave it a light smokey flavor. great sides and appetizers all in one meal Sushi had just the right amount of rice and “filling” ratio, and flavor bomb all the way The part I liked the most was the cold noodles and pasta. There’s also nabe! &Hot Stone Rice Bowl If you really want to enjoy food, I definitely recommend going there.

This restaurant really hit the spot on all levels! 1. Food- The price point is awesome! The menus are tiered and has so many options for sides, soup, meat and sushi. If you have kids, there are food items they’ll like as well. (Menu highlighted for what we ordered.) The ramen was one of the best we’ve ever had. The marinade on the meat was on point, and the grill gave it a light smokey flavor. Sushi had just the right amount of rice and “filling” ratio, and flavor bomb all the way. I suggest getting half orders for the sushi so you can get multiple rolls and not fill up on too much sushi. Food did not disappoint! 2. Service- AMAZING. We were definitely taken care of the entire time we were there. The staff was constantly walking around making sure every table was good to go and all orders were delivered to each table promptly. Great job everyone! 3. Atmosphere- if it’s your first time walking in, you’ll definitely get hit with the wow factor like we did. Loved the table set up and the privacy screens that separate each table. This was such a unique and memorable dining experience. We have never been to a Japanese BBQ restaurant and regret not experiencing this sooner. This will be a regular stop for our Vegas trips!

Yelp
We love Korean bbq and this place is a hidden gem. Located on a strip mall like plaza, the restaurant was very clean and the service was attentive. They have not only Korean bbq, but also noodle soups, noodle dishes and sushi that can be added to AYCE for an extra $5. Unheard of nowadays. Please give this place a try. It won't disappoint.

Yelp
From google, their own website, and yelp their hours are all inconsistent. I'm outside of their restaurant and it's still not open. There have been 2 parties that have tried to open their locked door. Also, there are no hours on their door or windows.

Yelp
Great food and very friendly staff! Looks different than your typical kbbq restaurant, it reminds me of my family home with the tiled counter tops. It's great for big parties too since there's a lot of space. We ordered lots of different meats for $34.95. We loved the beef belly, pork belly, brisket and the ribeye stood out to us. There's a lot of side dishes and appetizers that were amazing too. They all had great flavor with good portion sizes. The shrimp Rangoon was a big surprise that we really liked.

Yelp
Yelp Review 2025 #12: I went to Shin with family at 6:30pm on a Friday night. Surprisingly, it wasn't too busy. We didn't have to wait for a table. Once our party was complete, we got seated right away. This used to be a Korean BBQ restaurant but they've kept the same tables, diner seats and everything. They're now serving Japanese BBQ for $30 per person which includes beef, pork, squid, shrimp, chicken, baby octopus, sides, and appetizers, noodles, nabe hotpot, and fried rice. For $5 more, you can also get AYCE sushi. Sounds good, right? They have 4 seasonings for the meat: garlic salt, sweet soy, spicy marinade, and miso. We tried different cuts of beef, and pork in garlic salt, and sweet soy. The beef brisket did terrible on the wire grill (the only grill they have) - it's too thin and would stick to the grill so it ripped to pieces. We tried the asparagus, oyster mushrooms, zucchini, tuna poke, tuna Tataki, fried oysters, and Galbi hot stone fried rice. We just sat down and just got menus and a server was already giving us food which was somebody else's obviously. We placed our first round of meat, sides, and appetizer order. You can order up to 4 meat orders at a time. It took a while to get them and there were a few meats we didn't get so we had to follow up. We asked for water to drink - didn't get it. Servers would walk past us without checking on us. I literally had to yell "EXCUSE ME!" to get somebody's attention. Once again, a few items were missing. Repeat that multiple times for the 4 orders we placed. It was a very long night. By 8:15pm, one of the servers told us it was last call - their website states last call is at 10:30pm on Fridays. WTH? Service was completely awful and disorganized. They don't have a vent at each table so you definitely smell like smoke. It was not a pleasant experience overall. There are plenty of AYCE restaurants in Vegas, go elsewhere.

Yelp
My party and I came here after finding out the wait at 888 was over 2 hours long. The experience felt pretty similar in terms of food and ambiance. There was 0 wait at this place and we came during Thanksgiving week. Food was well seasoned and the staff was attentive since there weren't too many parties at the restaurant. Both the bbq and sushi dishes were tasty. My only con is that air ventilation could be better at this place.

Yelp
I have usually had very good experience of this place in the past but I have no idea what was going on with the service of last night. It was quite a disaster, I was embarrassed to bring someone here for their first time. Now I understand if our waitress was new, but ignoring our table bell and having to wave her down constantly we had to ask just any server coming by for our service. Some of the things we were missing in our order we got told they were out of when we flagged the other servers. While the waitress was trying to be nice, she noticed that I have ordered shrimp tempura and I ordered the shrimp rangoo from the first round she doubled the amount of shrimp tempura for me since we were later told that they were out of the shrimp rangoo. The manager saw that were werent cooking this one plate of meat and took the tongs out of my hand and tried to put it on the grill but he stopped and said "is this the tuna?" and I said "No this is the BEEF CARPACCIO" then he put the tongs down the left. We know what meats to cook and how to cook it. The time my friend and I went the business was not busy yet, the restaurant was not filled and it was before dinner rush. So we were confused on why our service was slow as well. I will give it doubt because like I said, I have gotten better service from here in the past and my friend and I did enjoy the food. But we just did not enjoy the service last night.

Yelp
We came on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was not busy, maybe only 25% full. We sat there for a bit until one of the servers activated our iPad so we could start ordering off the screen. This was a nice touch as it was a lot easier to keep up with our orders. Once we sent the orders to the kitchen, things started to be dropped off within 5 minutes. The raw meat all came first before the sides/appetizers, then the sushi, and finally the udon soups. Price per person is $29.95, plus an additional $4.95 to order off their Gold Menu which contains nigiri, rolls, and premium Wagyu NY Steak (only one order per person). Each person had three slots for dipping sauces. They were out of all chicken and wagyu balls at the time, but we ordered the Sweet & Sour Beef Tongue, Sweet & Sour Short Rib, Sweet & Sour Brisket, Garlic Brisket, and two orders of the Wagyu NY Steak. The grill uses charcoal so it did not cook evenly on all sides, so it took longer to cook the beef as my husband had to keep turning/re-arranging them. I was not a big fan of the beef tongue as it was rubbery/leathery due to being a little overcooked, but all the other beef was great! We used scissors to cut up the meat. The best meat, in my opinion, was their Short Rib as it was the most tender and flavorful. However, their brisket in both Sweet & Sour and Garlic flavors were also pretty tasty. The premium Wagyu NY Steak was also good and was worth spending the extra $4.95 per person. We ordered tuna and yellowtail nigiri, as well as tuna tataki. I was not a big fan of any of their fish; none of it tasted fresh and the texture was on the dry side. Thankfully, as I type this review I feel fine, so I'm grateful it did not affect my stomach. My husband ended up eating all the sushi and even commented on how it's not the best sushi he's had, though it is a step up from grocery store sushi. Since I did feel cold in the restaurant, I ordered hot udon and for an AYCE place, their udon was actually decent. It came in a small bowl but the broth was hot and flavorful with lots of udon noodles, narutomaki, and several pieces of agedashi tofu. My husband also ordered himself a bowl and said their udon was good, and he had low expectations since other AYCE places usually had mediocre soup/ramen/udon. Service was great! They frequently came to clear our table of empty plates so we would have more space. You could also call for a server from the iPad. Definitely no complaints about service. Their only dessert options are 4 different flavors of Melona bars, which we opted out of. I think it would be cool if they offered soft-serve scoops, but that's okay. Overall, it's a decent Japanese AYCE BBQ place. Their sushi is not the best, but their beef meats are pretty good.

Yelp
CLOSED CLOSED...Dropped by on June 1st and the place was not open. You would think they would leave a recorded message or update their website to let customers know, call first... if nobody picks up the phone, don't waste your time driving there.

Yelp
We came to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We were so happy it wasn't that busy because we were a group of 6 total. The ayce is $34.95 per person. My granddaughter (5 yr old) was with us so she was half price for the ayce. You can also order one item from their noodle or rice bowl section. Trust me when I say we all ate our fill! It was so so good! The sides we got were also delicious. Go check em out!!

Yelp
The food here was excellent. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. However, we came in on Valentines at prime dinner time, and although the staff was extremely pleasant, they were overwhelmed. We waited about 20 min to be seated, but then waited almost 30-45 min before our food came out and when the food did come out it was all the wrong items. We didn't mind and ate what they gave. I actually felt really bad because you could tell they were trying the best they could. The food itself was worth going back for. Go give them a try!

Yelp
Food and service could be better. There is so much competition on Spring Mountain. They better step it up. The owner should not be reprimanding the employees in front of the customers. That makes customers feel very uncomfortable. Subpar food and weird rule where short ribs must come with ribeye. I hope they rebrand it soon like the server mentioned to becoming "Morning House"

Yelp
Overall the food was great quality for the price! We did the AYCE and added the unlimited sushi. The overall price came out to $35 a person (on 3/30/24). That price includes: BBQ, sushi, hot pot and ramen. Everything we ordered was good! Love that portion sizes are small so you can try different things. The sushi comes in 4 per order. I ordered the Creamy Tonkatsu ramen. The broth was really good! We ordered the Kimchi Nabi for the table and that too had a good broth. The sides were decent! But we tried to fill up on the expensive stuff. The meat! Service was okay! There is a bell at the table to press to call waiter. They show up pretty quick once you press it. The ambiance is cute and has an Asian theme! The dessert is not on the menu but they have ice cream cups: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and rainbow sherbet.

Yelp
The food was great, have no complaint. Meat, appetizer, all and all were delicious! The place was clean , bathroom did not smell . Let me start with ...It was a party of 10 there were only for 4 of us at first , the host looked at us assuming there were only 4 , not greeting us or asking for how many? She set the table . Came up to me and was like your table is ready . I then said it's a party of 10. Then she looked irritated and rolled her eyes , like it was my fault for not informing her. Like girl fix your face , you're at work! With your negative ass vibe!

Yelp
I loooved this place! First off, our server was so nice and sweet. She gave great recommendations and was very friendly. The menu is huge and there are so many unique options from all the meats, sushi, soups, pasta, appetizers, and more. Usually BBQ places don't have the best sushi but theirs was pretty good! Pretty much everything we had was delicious. I really enjoyed the berry berry drink! The ambiance is lively and fun. The tables all are separated too, which is nice. I would highly recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
I've come here twice. Once to check it out and another time to bring out of state friends. We didn't have reservations but also went on weekdays around 5:30 pm and didn't have a wait. The service was good. The price is very good for all you can eat and they have sushi for an additional fee. They have a nice mix of sides, chicken, beef, pork and some seafood. Everything we tried was good. They have the grill at the table and drop the meats to you. You cook your own at your pace and desired doneness. They have a lot of tables with benches on either side of the grill we sat here when there was just 2 of us and they have bigger tables to the side. The environment is fairly quiet and it's easy to have a conversation. Another bonus is you don't leave smelling like smoke. I've been to several all you can eat BBQ's in Chinatown and so far this is my favorite.

Yelp
**HOPE YOU LIKE WAITING MORE THAN EATING** If you enjoy 2.5 hour long waits, getting ignored, and leaving hungry, this is the place for you! We were seated quickly but sat without drinks or service for 30 minutes (should've taken the hint). Then they sent ONE tiny side dish with two pieces when the picture showed a lot more! Everything else took 20 mins to arrive INDIVIDUALLY! Hostage situation - you eat some things out of hunger and now you're stuck. Did the Gold tier and didn't get half of the items included. The portions were minuscule! The meat (when it finally arrived), was so thin compared to other places, it just disintegrated on the wire grill and fell through, or got stuck and burnt in seconds. The entire restaurant had the energy of regret, saw so many tables disappointed and staring at empty plates, drinking water, looking around for a waiter. After I reluctantly complained, our waitress did try to make things right, but by then, the damage was done. Meanwhile, we all witness the owners sit at their own table freely eating and drinking comfortably in the same dining area!! I read the place changed owners.. now it's the Temu version. They get spillover business from the - 100 times better 888 Japanese BBQ- This is a straight money grab tourist trap! ## Read the one-star reviews- they're not lying ##

Yelp
AYCE meat for $27.95! Yes please. There was just one menu. No super high end premium stuff but it's a good menu of unlimited items and a few limited items. Highlights were unlimited beef tongue and belly. Each person getting to order two ribeyes. Most places offered only 1 ribeye or none. The oyster tempura was my favorite appetizer so plumped. Careful it might need some cooling down after you get them, hot inside. For beef, you get unlimited brisket, finger ribs, tongue, wagyu ball, and beef belly. You all also get two per person short ribs, ribeyes, and LA galbi. Each can be in garlic salt, sweet soy, or spicy marinade. The rest of the menu included unlimited pork neck, belly, and jowl, unlimited shrimp, baby octopus, squid, and chicken thighs, ramen, udon, pasta, and nabe hotpot, various appetizers. There's also AYCE sushi rolls for $6.95 extra. I actually came here two nights in a row. First night, it was with a group of 6 and got the table right by the door. Felt the cold everytime the door was opened. Try not to get that table. Second night, a new group of 6 including a little kid. Both nights they were accommodating. They have a button at the tables to call over the server. Can't RSVP until they open. You either wait at the door or outside or in your car. Nice interior. Parking lot gets full.

Yelp
Solid AYCE bbq in Vegas! While there are endless options in Vegas for bbq, ramen, sushi, buffets, and whatever feeds your craving, BUT this place has it all in one place! For the fixed price-per-person, the value is incredible. Not only are you grilling as much meat as you want, but there are over a dozen of side dishes and small plates included, AND ramen, cold noodles, nabe hotpot, pasta, and dolsot!! If that's still not enough, a few more dollars will upgrade your meal by adding their unlimited sushi option. Amongst their giant menu, my party enjoyed multiple rounds of the ribeye, finger ribs, and pork jowl. You can mix and match the meats with their marinades options too. Next up were the noodle dishes. I had to get the spicy cold noodles. This is the first bbq spot I've ever heard of having naengmyeon included. It was tasty! Everyone else in my party ordered the ramen and they enjoyed it too. At the end of our meal, we got ice cream cups and mochi ice cream in our chosen flavors :) They were slammed this night but the servers were zooming throughout the restaurant to tend to each table. House music was playing all night and it has this overall modern pocha vibe. So glad we got to check this place out!

Yelp
Literally the worst JBBQ I've ever had, don't let the good reviews fool you. From start to finish it was a pretty bad experience. I should've known to leave when I saw the restaurant was empty on the weekend at noon. It took a while for them to set up our table and it seemed like the grills were having issues. Most of the meats on the menu are marinated which wasn't the best sign. I'm used to having beef tongue served without any marinade. Meat quality was not that good and didn't cook well either since the grill wasn't working well. Some of the apps didn't even look like the photo. Overall I do not recommend at all. The service is really slow for everything and they forgot a few things we ordered. We also had to keep asking for our drinks to come out. It really felt like the employees didn't care about being there and were just doing the bare minimum.

Yelp
I was glad we ended up dining here last night (7/18/24). Originally we were planning to dine at a different place but did not for some reason then searched Yelp and found this. According to their sign their temporary open hours will be 1700-2230 (MON-THU), 1500-2230 (FRI) and 1130-2230 (SAT-SUN). So we arrived just when they open and they were already a few customers which for me was a good sign. They have good reviews and I confirmed they were true. The ambiance was nice. Japanese like with wooden blinds separating the tables on the sides. Music is good not too loud and just enough to set the vibe. The staff were all pleasant they seemed to love working there. I appreciate our server Emmanuel. He has good customer service skill. Each table has a tablet where you can put in your order and check your order, call your server and request the check. For me it is an awesome feature as it saves time and is more efficient. Whenever we put in orders, the staff were quick enough to bring them. But it can be improved though, like we ordered Pineapple and it was not available. We did not know until I asked and I was told it was not brought because it was not available. So maybe in the system they could grey out the ones that are not available. The food portion is not the same like most ayce but for us it is perfect. So you only order what you can consume and this will avoid food wastage. For $29.95 per person then if you want the sushi, nigiri and nabe hotpot you would upgrade to the gold tier for an additional of $5/person which is not a bad deal. Imo it is a good deal--bbq, noodles and dessert (Melona and ice cream cups no limit). Overall we were happy with our dining experience. I dined with 2 toddlers and they were awesome about it. We got high chairs. We also did not smell like bbq!We will definitely come back and tell friends about it too!

Yelp
I want to give this review a five star due to the service provided by our Waiter NOEL , everytime we go we usually get him as our waiter but this time his service was above and beyond it was a pretty busy night almost all the tables were full but once we were seated re recognized us and remembered some of not majority of our order he is very friendly. Since the kitchen was backed up Noel brought out food that he recommended that was ready to eat and u really appreciated that the food was good I had a taste for sushi and I order most that, my brother ordered the meat selections and he said that they were really fresh ,good and savory the seafood creamy pasta is always a hit and the place was still nice and clean given that it was a really busy night the servers were there to tidy up in a timely manner once people got up and left each time , Thank you Noel for all your help and great customer experience

Yelp
It's a decent size restaurant, I liked that they allow solo diners. They have good ventilation and you won't come out smelling like the food. The pros, the beef belly was nice and thick, grill it wrap in radish wrap with a bit of fresh wasabi and your good to go. The rib eye which you can only get one person was a bit disappointing it was very thin and you only get one per person. I wasn't crazy about rib fingers. Meats I would get: 1. Ribeye limit 1 2. Beef belly 3. Brisket 4. Kalbi limit 1 5. Radish wrap 6. Fresh wasabi There's 3 flavors of the ribeye and I thought you were allowed one of each but it's only 1 period you mist choose your flavor. It's the same thing with the boneless shortrib. I would get all the limit one meats first since those are the best. The con: they do have fried rice and different types of noodles your allowed one either the fried rice or a noodle that's it which I was disappointed. I didn't know that, if I did I would have gotten the cold noodles. Don't get the kimchee it was the worst kimchee I have ever tasted. You can get a nabe hot pot a kimchee tofu or pork belly vegi hot pot basically. I didn't try it. I also recommend the tuna carpaccio was good, the beef carpaccio was ok. You can also pay $5 extra to move up to the gold tier to get sushi and an extra bonus meat. I just stayed with their $29.99 deal. After tax and tip comes out to be about $38 per person. It was ok and i wasn't impressed with the meat choices after the limit 1 meats. The beef belly was decent but a bit chewy. For the price point I rather go to their competitor, Japanese bbq that's ayce. It was ok but the meats were not all that great. I only eat beef so my review is for the beef.

Yelp
*For context: we were here for over 2.5 hours when the time limit is 90 minutes. And we did not leave full* It pains me to update my review because even after having visited several times over the last year, and the service level slowly declining, we have not had an experience as terrible as this until now. - Understaffed - staff running throughout the restaurant in a flurry to make it to kitchen and back to the table. We get that KBBQ is supposed to be fast-paced, but this was bordering on being unsafe. It added to the chaotic nature of a KBBQ dining experience but in the wrong way. - The gyuutan (beef tongue) is so thin that you can see through it now. They used to be the thickest in town. What happened? It's a shriveled, paper-thin mess that's the same as any other place. Not gonna lie - this is what made this restaurant so memorable. To say this is disappointing would be a gross understatement. - The pork jowl size is extremely small - maybe it's pre-cut like this on purpose? But the ratio to serving size on a plate is measly. Why are we using gigantic plates to serve tiny portions that can be eaten in one bite? Is it an optical illusion? Please, make it make sense. - Servers dropping off food without checking in - an understandable annoyance, but at least explain when things are not going right. Apparently, orders were not being captured to the kitchen but we had to wait probably over an hour for anyone to mention this. No acknowledgement for our wait time. No follow-up about any of our food orders coming out. Just a lot of hanging around an open flame like a campfire. This transformed the experience from an annoying one into a genuinely unpleasant waste of time. - Too much waiting around for the next food order - again, this played into orders not being captured. But why should this fall on the guest? I was looking forward to having a great meal with great service. Shin has great food, but cannot consistently deliver when it comes to service so we were waiting around between 20-30 min for another round of items to come to our table. At least serve us some side items to keep us from sitting around. Why not consider creating a queue if things are taking too long to leave the kitchen? In the end, all this does is back everything up and we end up taking the brunt of it. I can only recommend this place if you come during non-peak hours. Whatever you do, don't come here when it is busy or you will be overlooked as if you're not even here. In the past, I've always made sure to recommend Shin when talking about a BBQ place to enjoy that isn't Hwaro or 888. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place anymore. It will be on my places to make sure to actively avoid instead. Not because the food isn't good, but because in a service-centric town, this is should be considered unacceptable. And definitely don't come here for Valentine's Day unless you are okay being here all night long waiting for your next round of food slowly and painfully. One of the worst BBQ experiences we have had in years and probably in recent memory anywhere in town. If Yelp allowed a 0 Star rating, this would be well-deserved and earned.

Yelp
Service: Very friendly staff, orders came pretty quickly even with a full restaurant, staff didn't mind our table ordering a bunch of items all at once Ambiance: Very cute decor, strangely though this place is a "Yakiniku" but there's Korean signage inside Food: Decent quality meats, cuts are thin and small though so you'll need to order more at a time. We got a "wagyu" ball but marbling was nonexistent on it

Yelp
We had another great experience here for dinner. Got seated immediately. Food is great, AYCE menu selection very good, and price is well worth the experience. I only down graded my rating from 5 to 4 star since servers seemed to be a little disorganized this visit and not as attentive.

Yelp
The price point is awesome! The menus are tiered and has so many options forbsides, soup, meat and sushi. just $29.95, and add AYCE sushi for only $4.95. The marinade on the meat was on point, and the grill gave it a light smokey flavor. great sides and appetizers all in one meal Sushi had just the right amount of rice and "filling" ratio, and flavor bomb all the way The part I liked the most was the cold noodles and pasta. There's also nabe! &Hot Stone Rice Bowl If you really want to enjoy food, I definitely recommend going there.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place because my brother and his wife went a few weeks ago and was telling me they loved the place. We came here around 12:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday. There was a good amount of people but it wasn't a full house. We got sat almost immediately. Sitting down, the menu looked great. There were a lot of options and we also added 5 dollars to get the unlimited sushi. Most of the food came out quickly. We really enjoyed the salmon inari and takoyaki for the cooked items. Meat wise, I definitely recommend the sweet soy beef belly and sweet soy short ribs. Reasons why I ended up not enjoying my visit.. I ordered a corn cheese the very first order. I asked the server twice about it and ended up not getting it until 45 minutes later. We were also out of water for almost 20 minutes. We asked had to ask the server 3 times before we even got water. We rang the bell a few times but no one would come. And when they did, they ended up never coming back with the water. I don't really see the point of the bell when they don't come back. We also ordered a few more meat and items that never even ended up coming. At the end of it, we kind of just gave up with the fact we had to keep waiting for someone to come and then repeating ourselves multiple times.

Yelp
First time experience! Arrived around 3:30 pm. We were seated along the perimeter of the large restaurant filled will grilling tables. We opted for the salt/garlic set of meats, vegetables, shrimp, and squid to grill. Additionally we got creamy corn, spicy tomato pasta, and cabbage salad. Kim chee isn't on the menu. I asked if they had any and our friendly server, Angie, said yes! We didn't get the additional sushi fare nor the included udon, ramen, or nabe. Just too much as it is! We got our favorite Korean beer, Cass! A variety of ice cream is offered for dessert! Yum! Our bellies were happy.

Yelp
Went here with friends. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, but it got busier around 5 minutes after we were seated, so it seemed like our timing was just right. I've dined at this location back when it was known as Napal Baji, and had a positive experience. However, this time, it was just okay. They offer three choices --- Diamond, Prime, and Signature. We decided to go with the Diamond option, which included all the items we typically get at Japanese or Korean BBQs. Their meats are available in Garlic Salt, Sweet Soy, or Spicy marinade. We went with the simpler one which was garlic salt. The beef belly and brisket were unexpectedly disappointing. They had an unappealing flavor. My friends didn't want to eat them, so I ended up finishing them myself. However, they did find some dishes they really enjoyed including the Finger Rib, Baby Octopus, Corn Cheese, and Sushi Rolls, which I also got to try. I wanted more ribs, but I was too stuffed from the brisket and beef belly. I am not sure if I will be coming back here. It's a maybe, maybe not situation. The service was exceptional though. Everyone was friendly. Their positive and energetic attitude remained consistent throughout our visit. Service - 5/5 Food - 3/5

Yelp
One of my favorite things to do when I visit Vegas is venture into Chinatown and try different restaurants. As an Asian food aficionado it's literally heaven driving down Spring Mountain. I can't lie 888 reigns supreme to me when it comes to Japanese bbq in Vegas but seeing as how I didn't feel like waiting 2 hours to eat I figured I'd try Shin. I arrived around 6:00pm on a Saturday and was seated immediately. The Ayce option is only about $30/pp and from someone coming from LA that was pretty cheap for all the choices you get. Now they don't have 30 different meat options like some places but they have a solid selection include the usuals(Galbi, brisket etc) but even some unexpected surprises like seafood pasta and ramen. Service was stellar all around. Several servers stopped by our table to check on us and make sure we didn't want for anything. One thing that I did notice and was really impressed with was the ventilation. I didn't walk out of there smelling like a bbq pit which might be a first for Japanese or KBBQ. Overall it was a good experience and I would even say I may be back in the future, for the price and options you can't really go wrong. Food quality 4/5 Service 5/5 Price 5/5

Yelp
I came here to celebrate my best friend's birthday and i'm going to say this place is SO good ! We ordered from the "Signature" menu which is $43.00 per person, all the meats were so delicious and tasty! The "Kyoto" roll was sooo delicious too! I definitely recommend!! We will be back ! However i recommend to mainly fill yourself up with the meats more than the sides because I feel like they offer many more side options with the signature menu as the meat cuts are definitely higher quality and want to distract you. Just a pro tip Luv this place and the way it's laid out, again i will be back everything was so delicious as well as the customer service was excellent despite it being busy.

Yelp
OMG!! This place got hot! So heads up! I was a little bummed because we chose this place due to the variety. In addition to the regular Korean BBQ meats, they also offer a hot pot and sushi. But the food was just alright. The premium meats were good but some came out too thick IMO, hot pot was good but damn I was already hot so no go lol the sashimi was actually pretty good, carpaccio meh, sushi was covered in the sweet sauces and came with lots of rice. Servers on the other hand were sweethearts. They turn the tables quick and sat us right away!! A lot were new but they were very attentive and got other servers to help out so we felt like they did their best! Honestly, for the price, IMO it was not worth it but for the variety and service def check it out and you be the judge.

Yelp
Was pleasantly surprised! It's a Korean Japanese fusion restaurant, the main difference is the grill and menu compared to a regular KBBQ place. They have rolls, nabe Japanese hot pot), bbq and sides and noodles. I like the variety of choices so it can cater to big groups of people so they can choose something off the menu. Overall I'd recommend and will come back, I would like to try their meat again as we kinda burned ours since we didn't realize how to control the flame or where the controls were as we sat down. So the meat cooked too fast.

Yelp
Our dined at Shin Yakiniku Japanese restaurant and had an exceptional experience. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with a modern yet authentic Japanese decor. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout the meal. the side dishes and appetizers were also outstanding. The variety of options offered something for everyone, from traditional Japanese dishes to more modern interpretations.

Yelp
Warning: the house salad contains PEANUT dressing, which is not mentioned at all on the menu. How do I know? Because I went to dinner a couple days ago with my friend who is severely allergic to peanuts and his kid and the first thing that was brought to the table was his house salad which apparently has a peanut dressing that is nowhere mentioned on the menu. The second he took a bite of it, he left the table to go ask the cooks if there were peanuts in it, and they said yes. Then, my friend immediately came back to the table and said " the sauce has peanuts in it" then ran out of the restaurant, leaving his kid with me. I've never been around anyone that had a peanut allergy, so I didn't know how serious it could be. He ran to his car to take Benadryl, but he ran out so he had to run across the street to Walgreens and get Benadryl, but it wasn't enough. His throat was closing, and he knew he had an EpiPen at home, so he ran back to his car and drove straight to his house, which is near the airport, while running red lights because he had to get to his EpiPen before his throat fully closed. Yes, you might be wondering why he didn't just go to the ER or call the ambulance, but this has happened to him before and he doesn't have that much time to wait in a situation like this. The last time that happened, he completely blacked out, and they had to resuscitate him by the time they got to him. The whole time I'm just stuck in the restaurant with his kid and my kid, while nobody was even approaching our table anymore because I know they were embarrassed. Our server came back to our table one time just to ask if he was okay and I told him he had to run home to inject himself with his EpiPen. He apologized. Management never came up to us. Nobody else ever tried to see if he was okay or apologize. I had to act as calm as I could because I was there with two 8yr old boys and I didn't want his son to freak out. So I was being calm and polite until we finished all the food that came to the table after he had left, which was every single thing we ordered, because he left immediately after the first plate came to our table. The salad was the first thing that came to the table, so, my friend never even touched or saw any of the food other than that because he had to run out to save his own life, so you can only imagine how infuriated I was when they brought me the check that included my friends all you can eat meal. I was livid. Management never came up to us to apologize or even ask if he was okay. he never came back after he rushed out at the beginning of the meal. Then I get a bill that included his dinner that he never even got to see because he had to rush out after his first bite of food. I waited until somebody came back to the table so I could tell them that I refuse to pay for his meal. They did not apologize, they just went back and took his meal off and brought back the check for the three of us (me, my son, and his son). I drove to the restaurant with my son and my friend drove to the restaurant with his son, So I ended up having to take his son all the way to his house afterwards since he couldn't even make it back to the restaurant and I don't live anywhere near him. This is completely unacceptable. There is no mention of peanuts being in the house salad dressing on the menu. Usually when we go to an Asian restaurant and they have a house salad, it is a ginger miso dressing. The dressing they have at this restaurant, is a PEANUT dressing , which is lethal to somebody that has a severe peanut allergy. I cannot even comment on the rest of the food because I was so distraught from what was happening to my friend, that I pretty much just let the meat burn on the stove, and I ate my creamy seafood pasta, which was pretty good. Other Than that, my son ordered Ramen with only noodles and corn, but they loaded it with bean sprouts, so he did not touch it, and my friend's son seemed to like the Ramen and corn cheese. I just can't believe this happened, and I especially cannot believe that nobody even apologized to us besides the server, one time, before completely disappearing on us . This is serious. My friend could have died. I don't know if the proper thing to do would have been for him to just stay in the restaurant, while his throat closed so they could see how severe it was while we called the ambulance and made a scene, but he ran out of there because he knew he only had a little time before his throat fully closed up. It sucks because I feel like I would've really liked this restaurant, but this was not handled well at all and it really put a sour taste in my mouth. Hopefully this does not happen to anybody else because it's really sad and messed up. I have attached pictures of our meal, the bill, and even a screen cap from my friend

Yelp
The ambience of this place is phenomenal, literally my kind of vibe. Came here with my best friend for the first time and they did not disappoint. They have little monitor computer screens to where you can order instead of wait for your server or you can do both, but it was so convenient for us and they were really quick. Once we placed our food order. The food was amazing. The only thing I would say is the garlicky edamame isn't really garlic and it's more on the sweeter side. We didn't enjoy that lol but as for everything else, the food was amazing for the price and it was totally worth it, will definitely be back (:

Yelp
This is an interesting Korean BBQ. In addition to the regular Korean BBQ meat, they offer a hot pot and sushi . Only one hot pot per table is available. There were limited BBQ meats and limited sushi. I think this restaurant deserves a 5 star for trying to incorporate different dishes. They have a couple of ramen soup choices. The service was ok. The servers were busy. You are only allowed to order 5 meats at a time. The restaurant can accommodate big groups. They don't accept reservations, but staff appears to work well on turning tables fast.our party were able to hold a good conversation. The place is clean.

Yelp
Saw a social media video and decided to come and give this place a try. It was a Saturday afternoon, around 1pm, and to my surprise, the restaurant wasn't really full when I arrived, but there was still a 10 minute wait. The decor was cute and the fridge up front with all the different soju and ramune choices was cute. The bar area was in the middle of the room and had some Suntory whiskeys on tap...kinda different but i noticed it wasn't really 'sanitary' because there was a water bucket with some utensils in it near the tap area. I sat near the kitchen area and noticed a girl taking tongs out of a tub of water, wipe it dry and put it in a canister. She noticed me watching and a few minutes later, a guy took that bucket and poured the water at the bar area sink. Do they NOT have a sink in the kitchen area??? I did the 'Prime' menu and to be honest, It was not worth the money. The meats I ordered; rib eye, pork belly etc was a real disappointment. It came out FROZEN and yes, it's true what others have noted. I couldn't order it unseasoned. That was a red flag. My thought was that they had to 'season' the meat to mask the freezer burn taste. Sadly to say, after having a few bites, it was confirmed that the meat was not 'fresh'. The two half rolls of sushi I got, was unimpressive as well. The restaurant got real smoky halfway through my stay there and one of the female workers was fanning the room with her towel. I noticed that with everyone cooking, and in my case, the fire was going on HIGH, NONE of our stations had a vent over the grill! This will not be good in the long run.

Yelp
The service was beyond incredible! I am currently pregnant and am not eating raw meats. Our server made me a roll with cooked salmon! All the staff were so helpful with the bbq. I love the decor and set up of the place as well. Price and quality was perfect

Yelp
What was recently Napal Baji has rebranded and reinvented itself. Shin Yakiniku Japanese BBQ is the new concept and it's great to see another Japanese BBQ to compete with 888. They have the old time favorites like LA Galbi, brisket, beef belly and pork belly. The meats have several marinades like Garlic salt, sweet soy, spicy or Miso. The meats with garlic salt tasted very good. Its an open charcoal grill concept instead of the usual solid metal grill plate which is great. The service was adequate and the restaurant still had some remanence of its former self left. T'was a great meal, i am looking forward to my next visit. PS: I'm not a ramen guy and never eat it, but i tried their spicy ramen for the heck of it and it was tasty and worth trying.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS AYCE JAPANESE BBQ! Prices Vibes Food This Japanese AYCE bbq is sooo welcoming and fun, I like the quality of the meats and the char of the meat when you grill it tastes amazing. They have a long tile table that wraps around the restaurant and the design of everything inside felt so immersive. I tried their Chu Hai and Soju Cocktail and the attention to detail for their drinks is very impressive. The only thing that I didn't particularly enjoy was their shabu shabu spicy hot pot but I believe they could've been using an anchovy base hence why it was very salty and somewhat fishy. Overall I love this place, I typically drove to Henderson for Korean BBQ but now that I know there's a local Japanese AYCE place with a good price and WAGYU cuts of meat, this is my new staple. Expect to see me here at LEAST once a month, maybe twice!

Yelp
Really solid AYCE place for less than $30/person. Their menu is basically broken down by protein then marinade with each protein being offered in garlic salt, sweet soy, spicy marinade, and miso (beef, seafood, chicken). The way the menu is shown inflates the options a bit, but there's still plenty to enjoy, especially if you're up for some sides, noodles, and/or nabe (spoiler alert - we didn't make it to the noodles or nabe). Certain items have limits based on person or table and while the gal-bi and short ribs were definitely worth maxing out, the rib eye was a waste of stomach space and very large. Seasoning wise we mostly stuck with the garlic salt and sweet soy with the sweet soy being preferable overall to the relatively bland garlic salt option. We also loved the seaweed salad which we probably ordered 5 times. Would definitely come back and hopefully reserve room for some noodles and nabe! They also have the option to add sushi to your meal if you feel inclined, but I don't think it's worth given everything else to eat on the menu.

Yelp
It's located in a busy plaza. We came on a Friday and we were able to get parking right away however. This place has the best ayce menu in town imo. Ambiance is hip and lovely but music was not too loud which was great! They have a self service tablet which is nice. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Wanted to try this restaurant out as it was popping everywhere on social media. Now before i get into it, keep an open mind when watching influencers hyping up restaurants. It may not always be what it seems. My family and i were very excited to try Shin Yakiniku. The menu had plenty of options as they offer Japanese Bbq + Sushi for additional charge. With the menu they provide several types of seasoning/flavors. Offering from the basics of Brisket, Beef Belly, LA Galbi, Short Ribs, Finger Ribs, Pork Belly, Pork Cheek, Chicken, Seafood with a choice of either Garlic Salt, Sweet Soy, Spicy Marinade, Miso etc. With sushi side, there's a variety of rolls, hand rolls, and yubu (stuffed tofu). AND they also offer NABE. I believe with 4 different types of soup. Unfortunately.. we couldn't get a full experience because the electric stove for that wouldn't turn on. Another waiter had to heat it up at another table...we couldn't put meat in there to cook (as it should of been). The soup was bland and not that great either. Menu also offers noodle soups, ramen, udon, creamy pasta, etc. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen to try. Wanted something warm and ramen. I'd rate it a 2/5. Flavor was missing, ramen was nice and chewy though, it was very bland and seemed watered down. The soup is supposed the best part and ties everything together but not for this. Before deciding to come here, i did read the reviews. Majority talked about the service and it was true. The service seems very unorganized, messy, and honestly just all over the place. Sometimes it would be difficult to get a hold of our waiter. There is a call button as well! But with their unorganized system, no one even paid attention to the screen for the table numbers. And i was very observant with that. Food took a very very long time to arrive. My family was getting upset at the waiting time. The sushi came out faster than the bbq meats. We had to check back with our waiter too and that was in between grabbing others that was available to add more order. We noticed tables arriving after us was getting their bbq meats. The orders were probably brought to other tables because on multiple occasions they brought the wrong orders to our table. Our waiter would also walk around saying she forgot who needed the water, who needed napkins (at separate times). Granted she said it was her second day but there has got to be more organization with it all. The constant mess up put a really bad taste with my family and i. Some of our order was enjoyable but the least favorite of ours would be the brisket and the wagyu ball. The way they had the brisket cut and styled.. imagine eating a long piece of meat. Wagyu ball sounded nice! But it was that nice after the ball "expanded", it was just multiple pieces of meat balled up lol. I'm not sure if it was the sushi rolls or the not so freshness of the raw fish or some other food we ate, but whatever it was.. i have been suffering from stomach pain and issues since 4am causing me to miss work.... and i remember reading a previous yelp review on an individual getting sick. So.. GREAT There was some good times but unfortunately the bad weighed out the good. Will i give this restaurant another try, maybe. But there is definitely a lot of kinks they need to work on. Service, paying attention to food orders and to the correct table, ensuring the gears work properly, and food quality. In terms of quality overall with service, food, and quality 888 Japanese Bbq is the way to go.

Yelp
Shin Yakiniku is now under new management, so there's been a slight price increase + menu update. The price is still fair, but not sure if the menu changes are better than the original. For one, the kimchi is not as good anymore. & one of my fave appetizers, the ika geso has been removed from the menu altogether. It also seemed a little tense in there as if the servers were being micromanaged or something? No longer as chill of an environment, but could be for the better since service used to be hit or miss. With all the surprise changes, we were glad to see Emmanuel was still there. If you're not lucky enough to have him as a server, ask for him. His customer service is on point every time & he's super sweet! We may be back from time to time, but def no longer at the top of our rotation.

Yelp
A great bang for your buck restaurant! They offer a variety of items, something to satisfy the whole family. What is notable about this place is that not only do they offer Japanese BBQ with a variety of meats, but they have a variety of delicious appetizers and sides to choose from and for an additional $6.95, you can also get AYCE sushi! They offer premium quality of meats and they are served in smaller portions, ensuring there are no wasted pieces. My personal favorites are the brisket, pork belly, finger ribs, and beef belly. Most of the meats come in three different flavors: sweet soy, spicy, and garlic salt. What impressed me the most about this establishment is that they also offer ramen, udon, cold noodle, and hot pot! There is a catch though: only one noodle dish per person and one hot pot per table. Honestly, this is pretty fair to minimize food waste as they have so much to offer! Not only is the food tasty, but I appreciate the ambiance of this restaurant; it gives Japanese or Korean pub vibes, and we love it!

Yelp
The food is amazing! We loved everything we tried. Their drinks are very tasty and our server Noel is the best. He had great recommendations for us to try and he's so nice. The meat is incredible and their seasonings are delicious. I love the Sakura and Tokyo roll.
