Shinhwa Korean Steakhouse

We love coming to Shinhwa! There is often a wait when the restaurant is very busy, usually on weekends. They play K-pop pretty loud, and they also play Korean music show clips on multiple screens around the restaurant, which I love. We recommend going for the BBQ only, instead of hot pot; the marinated proteins are delicious, the banchan selection is wonderful, and their sauce bar is extensive (including several recipes to follow for those new to KBBQ). So my wife and I saw when riding by that a new spot had taken over where Million Crab used to be, so my we figured we would check it out. We’re big fans of hotpot and Korean BBQ, and with the weather being nice, we decided to take the motorcycle out for a ride and give Shinhwa a try. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with several other smaller businesses, but parking wasn’t an issue, there was plenty spots. As we walked in, I was surprised by the transformation from the last restaurant. They had big-screen TVs mounted on two walls playing videos, which added a nice vibe. Right off the bat, we noticed the host at the front didn’t understand English very well, and we ran into the same issue with a few other staff members throughout our visit. That made communication a little difficult. We chose to only do the BBQ option and skip the hotpot this time. The grill at our table was already set up and ready to go, which was a nice change from other places where you have to wait for staff to start it. We placed our order using the tablet at the table, and shortly after, we saw a robot deliver our food to our table, since we weren’t there the server put in on our table. I do like the robots it’s a nice touch adds to the vibe. Before we cook we went to the bar to see what sauces they carry. However upon our arrival we realized the sauce bar wasn’t as great as we had hoped. They expect you to mix your own, but there weren’t any ratio guides or directions to do so, and most of the sauces were oil-based. I did however find one that worked well enough, but it wasn’t ideal. We tried a variety of items, one surprised us was the salmon, which you don’t find at every Korean BBQ place. That was a hit. The cumin chicken, on the other hand, was way too heavy on the cumin. It completely overpowered the chicken, and I had to drown it in sauce just to make it manageable. Thankfully, a lot of the other items were well-seasoned and flavorful. They also offer a selection of wines, beers, fruit juices, and teas. I ordered the strawberry drink, and it was actually really good. Now, the pros: • Plenty of parking, thanks to the other businesses not having much foot traffic. • Lots of food and drink options, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. • Ordering is easy with either the QR code or the tablet at the table. • You can start your own grill without waiting for staff, which is a nice change. • Spacious seating and large booths—great for families or groups. • Ice cream bars are included for dessert, which is also pretty cool. But now the cons: • Language barrier was an issue with several staff members. • Throughout the meal, staff kept walking by and staring, which felt awkward. Not sure if they were checking on us or making sure we weren’t sneaking food out (they do have a strict no-to-go policy). • You’re required to pay before eating, and the tip option is at the beginning. We didn’t feel comfortable tipping before knowing what kind of service we would receive, so afterward we had to go back up front to leave a tip by card, which was inconvenient. • When the grill top needs changing, it took longer than expected. They have to go to the back to grab a new one, so you end up sitting there waiting. Other places we’ve been to usually bring replacements with them, so it’s swapped out instantly. Overall, it was an interesting experience, but not one that would bring us back. Between the communication challenges, awkward service, and other small inconveniences, it just didn’t live up to the standard we’ve come to expect from our favorite BBQ spots.

Good food, but there are better places for Korean bbq and hotpot. They have a good selection but other places have more variety. Gets the job done!

Great place to have a fun meal. You order anything you want, it comes on a robot, then you grill it or put it in a hotpot. I had the ultimate ramen bowl crafted by me lol. I will definitely be going back its a great experience.

We did the hot pot and barbecue and it was a great experience. Good service, nice atmosphere. To do both, the price is about $44/person which is really good for the amount of food you get to eat.

I was there a couple hours ago (3:45-ish P.M on a Saturday) for the first time since I was last there. (around the time the place opened) Just like any other hot-pot & kbbq place where you order off a tablet, make your own sauce at the sauce bar, cook your food yourself, all that type of stuff. Music isn’t as loud as it used to be (which is good, the music was so loud my first time) Place gets very smoky with all the grills going, though. (this is in the middle of winter, but maybe an all-year thing?) The staff were pretty efficient with service and professional towards myself & parents, even though they warned that lack of staffing might make things slow at the door. (wasn’t a problem, but maybe for large groups?) Specifically, a female employee (asian, maybe in her 20’s (?), VERY long braid) was very helpful, attentive, and seemed very sweet, even though her & the rest of the staff were scrambling around to attend to all the tables. One critique I experienced today is that I wish they’d split the bokchoy into more individual pieces, because it was just split in half into two huge chunks. As I was eating, I dropped it into my broth and it splashed on my grey hoodie and such. (yeah I know that’s on me🫠) Also, yeah my family had to pay before being seated seemingly like many others and the price is kinda steep ($40 a person or something for both Hot-Pot & KBBQ, cheaper if you only do one or the other), btw. Overall, solid place, but it’s slightly far from where I’m at.

Are you ready for something amazing? Then look no further. You walk in and are greeted with a smile and some catchy tunes, you then pay first so you don't have to worry about someone bugging about your bill. (We paid $80 for dinner grill and hotpot for 2) Next you are led to where you will be dining where you get 2 hours after they explain how everything works very clearly. You can ask for a menu (I did so you can see just how much they offer) But you place your order on a tablet, and boy does it come out quick. The food is vast and invites you to expand your palette. After you place an order you might be surprised to find a robot (my wife named it Fiji) that brings you your food. You cook, however long or little as you'd like, it's up to you. After all of the excitement is over and you are done with the 2 hours, you'll be treated to a tasty complimentary ice cream and if you order alcohol, you can keep the cute bottle... The wife was excited about that 😂. 5🌟 what a fun experience worth your hard earned money

so so delish. the bar had many sauces to chose from, and side dishes like kimchi. there was also fruits and desserts, kind of reminded me of a chinese buffet which i loved. My family did the bbq and there was so many options to chose from! loved all the meats my personal fav was the beef bulgogi, and cooking the food was so fun! we were a little confused at first and the waiter was so helpful and understanding. great customer service. also the place had kpop videos all over the screens which we found fun to watch and a robot that serves the food! second we left, we said we couldn’t wait to come back. ate till i couldn’t breathe. thanks for the wonderful meal!

Love this place! We were on vacation and got invited to have dinner there! There was a bit of wait but worth it. They had two buffet tables for sauces and fixing with cakes/desserts. The waiter came to explain how it works. We used a tablet to order whatever we like. Of course do not waste food by all means! Order whatever you can eat! We ordered several times. We had oysters, shrimps, beef, tendons, etc. the robot would come in minutes after we ordered which is excellent! Some places would not make it so soon to limit your food intake because it is all you can eat within 2 hrs. We were a bit disappointed with the cake because they ran out of the matcha cake or whether it was green while waiting for our tables. Also it came with ice cream bar but disappointed again because they ran out of mangoes! Overall it was a great visit! Would highly recommended!

Hi, my family and I ate here last night and we were all pretty disappointed in the service and the meal. We ordered the Hot Pot and Korean Bbq. For all 7 of us. The Premium Dinner. It was our first experience at a Hot Pot spot, so the server explained the menu and took our drink order. He also informed us where we could find the sauce bar (near the entrance) if we wanted sauces. Good. We ordered and received the Hot Pot bases and all of the toppings relatively quickly. The server turned on the bbq pit thing in the center of the table once the proteins arrived. Great! The table ordered Original, Miso, Kimchi (best favor), and Tom Thai. Most of the flavors were bland at best, except the Kimichi, which was too spicy for most of the table but it was tasty! Bc I was sharing a pot with someone that can't tolerate spicy, I didn't get that base. We tried the soup bases. Meh... Everyone added proteins and veggies to their soups. 6 out of 7 people were disappointed with the hot pots. The common complaint was "this doesn't have flavor." We had two 10 years that enjoyed watching the squid tentacles curl in the soup but not the soup, specifically bc it was bland. This was true for most of us at the table. The beef, chicken and pork all had a mild fishy taste but lacked beef, chicken, or pork flavor. I cooked the protein on the little table grill with chopsticks (we weren't provided with tongs) but again, no flavor. I went to the sauce bar for the table (I found the tongs there). We were told about the sauce bar but not about the tongs, which made my personal experience laborious bc I was one of two people decent with chopsticks at our table. Anyways, sauce bar. Got sauces. Sauces didn't help cover the fish taste. Nor did the sauce help the already cooked protein taste good. The ambiance was smoky, probably due to the grills on the table but of our guests had to leave bc the smoke gave him a headache. The started off nicely but as the meal progressed the server never came to refill drinks or inquire about our meal. He didn't provide recommendations to get the best experience and he didn't provide serving utensils. All in all, I don't recommend. I would like a refund but based on the lack of serve (especially knowing this was our first experience at a Hot Pot spot), I didn't feel comfortable saying anything and I didn't feel like being upset. We just decided to not return and leave a review. Passive, yes, but the experience remained underwhelming not overwhelming. ALSO, you get ice cream bars at the end of your meal! They didn't tell us that! But I saw so many other guests eating them and we were still hungry, I asked if they were included in our PREMIUM DINNER. Ice cream was included. No one told us until we asked. We spent close to $300 dollars for this meal and we received subpar serve and subpar fishy food. I don't recommend.

Beware: this is one of the pay-when-you-enter and all-you-can-eat places where you either cook your own hotpot or grill your own food. Also - Not everything on the menu is available for both options. We wanted scallops and they are only on the hotpot dinner menu. It's not possible to grill that seafood. And of course dinner menu costs more than lunch. We really enjoyed the "salad" bar of delicious Banchan dishes of veg and seaweed and pickles. Service was attentive and the ingredients are of good quality: but seafood such as prawns comes with the heads and legs so there is a lot of playing with the food to disassemble and eat it. It's a nicely modern space, but the prices are at the high end. Do not come here if you are a light eater- it's not worth the price unless you have the time and appetite to cook and eat a lot.

Perfect for large groups or special events! Great options from hot pot to Korean bbq. Accessible ordering on an iPad and quick delivery. We had hot pot which had 10 soup bases to choose from and so many protein, noodle, vegetable, and sauce options! Free parking lot out front, very spacious inside. Drinks and dessert included too. So yummy! Come hungry!

20 minute wait on a Sunday afternoon- going in with a hope that this means that this place will live up to the hype! We had a great time and we're SO full when we left! Recommendation: choose with the hot pot OR the Korean BBQ, unless you're a really big eater! We did both because we didn't want to miss a thing, and the FOMO caused some uncomfortably over full tummies! Choose one and then go back. The flavors are amazing, the cool robots that bring the food are fun, and the whole experience is something you'll want to go back for!

This was my second AYCE Korean BBQ place. I prefer the new kid in town. The meat here is not the greatest quality. They only changed our grill plate once. The Bachan was more limited here as well. The 3 things that I did like was the robots bringing the food and the Melona bar at the end of the meal.

Wow, this place has some of everything. Very large restaurant with plenty of seating and decorated well to show the culture and set the scene for what you're about to experience. One of the first things I saw was the cat like structure, bringing food to people. I was super excited for this. I came for lunch with some friends and the lunch special seems to be a little cheaper than the dinner special. We got hot pots and enjoy the buffet as well for the price. I would say it's worth it because it's all you can eat. It was also a fun experience to be able to cook the food ourselves. would definitely return.

Food and location wise, maybe my favorite hotpot place in MN and maybe the few or only place where you can get both AYCE hot pot and AYCE kbbq in MN too. Even if I'll be honest, I get a little overstimulated here and I would say the place isn't really ideal for groups bigger than 6. The hot pots are individual but the grill/bbq area is shared. This place is ideal for multitaskers lol What I love about this place is the seafood options- more seafood options here than most hotpot places I've been to. The location is also great- right in the middle of the Twin Cities area near 36 highway. The only thing I didn't love was the service- maybe because of the robot delivery your food idea, we had different servers the whole time and towards the end of our meal, one of the servers came up 3-4 times asking if we were ready for ice cream...she was nice though and I had a feeling that the manager was watching her to tell her due to their 2 hr limited for dining and we were getting close to being there for 2 hours. You do pay per person before you get your table and you can choose lunch or dinner menu anytime when we went. You order most of the things from the iPad at your table then the sauce bar, Korean sides and some desserts are self serviced- ice cream is provide by staff.

Pretty popular so it'll be a LONG wait for weekend dinners. It was okay and maybe good enough for MN but nah I wouldn't wanna come back. We had 6 and they don't really have enough tables so they stuck us in a 4-person booth with 2 chairs crammed at the end. Ordering may be hit and miss, some will never come, or be late, or come immediately via those clunky cat robots. Our servers were very great and friendly.... but we didn't see them that often. That being said, the quality of meats were good but nothing too special. Food: 6/10 Service: 3/10 Atmosphere: 3/10 Value: 4/10

Fun, hands on dinner experience made for an exciting girls night out. Ventured to Shinhwa and were seated rather immediately on a Friday night at 6:30p. We did the AYCE with Korean BBQ and Hot pot. I do wish there was more instructions/how to at the tables and also loved that we got to essentially play with our food while we rotated between using the hotpot or grill. Would recommend! FYI: Be prepared to smell like a BBQ when you leave.

I've been to a few AYCE hot pot or kbbq places in the cities but was super excited to try Shinhwa since they include both! Ordering from the iPad was super easy and everything came out relatively quickly. There were so many items to choose from that we had to it things up over a few orders! Our server was friendly and explained what was included to us and checked on our table several times. The sauce and sides bars were kept super clean and well stocked, I went with the spicy garlic sauce recipe and it was delicious. I also loved that the price included unlimited soft drinks and an ice cream bar at the end of the meal! Will definitely be back here, especially with a group so that we can share and try different things!

Located in a plaza so parking was easy. We paid first then got seated. Service was good. Their premium pork belly was so good. Their kalbi was good as well. They give you melona ice cream and soda for free with your meal. We decided just the kbbq this time around but curious to see how the ramen would be. Pretty big in there and we got seated right away. Only slight con is Thad it is on the pricier side. Definitely recommend though!

Still so glad the metro finally has AYCE Korean BBQ! I actually think the bulgogi marinade here is soooo good and some of the best I've had, AYCE or not. You have the option to choose from KBBQ or hot pot ($25/lunch, $35/dinner) or do both ($30/lunch, $40/dinner)--I personally always opt for just KBBQ. They have a great sauce bar where you can combine a variety of soy sauces, hot sauces, and vinegars to make your own dipping sauce, and a sides bar with edamame, kimchi, and more. The real thing that stands out to me here is the service! The staff here are SO great about coming around to clear plates, refill drinks, and change grills--being used to Northern VA service, getting a grill changed is usually like pulling teeth, but here, the staff actively ASKS you if you want a new grill after pretty much every round of meat. They also have a cute little robot that brings around the meats and veg you order from the kitchen, which makes it easier for staff to be more available for things like drinks and grill changes which I love! My only real thing I'd change about this place is it's not super ideal for groups larger than 4 or 5--as far as I know, they don't have any tables with more than one grill, and with the 2 hour time limit, it's hard to get enough food cooked fast enough to really feed a larger group.

A good place to come to for AYCE kbbq that's more reasonably priced than the places closer to downtown MPLS. Service is quick and dishes come out from the kitchen on the very charismatic serving robots. AYCE also includes free pop and there are no restrictions on switching pop flavors between refills which is nice. A couple things I hope they add in the future to improve would be to allow for reservations, have more six seat table options, and to please please add soju to the drink menu. I'm so used to kbbq places offering soju pitches that are mixed with sprite that I'm shocked this place doesn't have it.

we had a good dinner at Shinhwa and we hope there is a little more hand holding from the servers. We were pretty confused on what to do for the most of the part in terms of ordering. The iPad to ring the servers does not working for us, and we always ended up waving for attention. But - when a restaurant with lower service level, it sometimes translated to good food. We did enjoy all the options provided for us. Fresh meat and everything. A little pricy to bring young kids because they don't eat much but Will go back for sure

Despite the long wait to get a table, the actual dining experience does not disappoint in terms of ingredients. The staff do their best to stay responsive to an overwhelming demand of interest. Sometimes it took some time to get someone to come back to the table and assist with replenishing our barbecue options.That said, the quality and variety of vegetables, meat and seafood were impressive.

Was craving Korean food and stumbled upon Shinhwa in Roseville! After checking the menu out, we decided to give it a try. We did the all you can eat kbbq and it did not disappoint! Our service was excellent! Prompt, friendly, and helpful. You're provided a tablet to order as frequently as you want or if you need to call a server over. They're so fast! The meat was good quality and super tasty. We tried out the garlic shrimp, beef and pork bulgogi, hanger steak, and the premium beef cut. All of which, were amazing. I would've liked to have more options for sides; more veggies, fish cakes, etc. But this is totally worth it if you're craving kbbq. They also have hot pot available! It fills up quickly, so go for an early dinner or for lunch. The space is big and open, which is nice. I'd check them out again!

We did hot pot and bbq and had a good experience. Service was great, our server was attentive. Can be overwhelming to do both hot pot and bbq at the same time, would just do one of them the next time. Liked that there was a wide variety of options to choose from for both hot pot and bbq. The sauce bar also had a lot of options to choose from. Liked the overall ambiance of the place and would come back.

I've been here two or three times now. When you walk in your pay right away, I hate this but whatever. It's hard to tip for service you haven't gotten yet, but also if I don't have cash it's my only option. Once inside you order your food from a tablet. I wish when it was delivered it notified you of what was what. We ordered a lot of beef options and when it came time to try and order seconds of the ones we liked we failed and got the ones we didn't love- all because we couldn't tell them apart. Not a huge deal but maybe keep this is mind. There are sections for making sauce and for fruit/dessert. I would love a little sign or reminder when you sit down to get two different tongs and scissors for raw and cooked meat.... people who don't know what they are doing are going to get sick aka me the first time I went there lol. By the second or third time you catch on and it's a lot of fun to sit and chat while cooking. We'll come back.

Barbecue and hot pot was awesome. Place is clean. A little bit long way because of mini customers waiting to eat, but the staff are friendly and fast service. Server frequent stop by to assure we are satisfied. Food or fresh and order was fast and buy a robot. I'm a repeat customers enough, then go back to eat when craving for hot pot and grilled meat.

vegas born & raised foodie here. i only had the hot pot and came solo and honestly it was pretty phenomenal. it was nothing to do backflips for but everything had flavor, there's lots of choices for hotpot without it being overwhelming. as for the service, pretty speedy, i was here on a monday around 3-4pm and it wasn't too busy. the ambience is very lively and laidback at the same time, plenty of kpop vids for entertainment haha and also you don't make much contact with the servers unless you need some specific. I think hotpot is definitely the best on the west coast, but its safe to say that shinhwa has top spot for. not sure what the lower reviews are about, but obviously this place isn't boujee but it isn't cheap. lower your expectations to be realistic and you'll leave with a warm and happy tummy.

Very fun experience, order the protein's of your choosing, get the authentic sauces to cook and top with, along with sides bar that has kimchi and such. Your raw protein is delivered by robot waiters and you cook at the table. Fun and upbeat place for lunch or dinner with friends..

Once you sit down, Shinhwa is a great experience! Put our names in for a group of 4 on a Saturday around 4:45. We waited for about a half hour to be seated. It looked like there was a line all night, so be prepared to wait if you come on a weekend! Everyone in your group needs to order the same thing. We all opted for hot pot! Our server took our drink order and explained how to use the iPad ordering system. The ingredients came out super quickly! Our meat came out via robots, but servers brought everything else. The ingredients were gear quality. The broths were also super tasty! Our group ordered the tom yum and original broths. I'd love to come back to do hot pot again or try the BBQ! But might do a lunch or come on a weekday to avoid the wait.

A little more expensive than JPot, but still very ok. They have a better selection of veggies but a somewhat less meat offerings. I was excited to see edamame on the cold bar, but was surprised that they weren't salted at all. If you don't steam edamame over salt water there is no way to get the right balance between the veg and salt. The sauce bar was good. The service was fine, but to be honest my husband and I are not demanding diners. The service robot is cute. We hadn't been in the space since it was an Outback so I can't say what the current tenants have done or what the 30-second crab place may have done to remodel. The new dining room is very large and similar to current restaurant aesthetics. The place is very clean as was the bathroom. My husband remarked that they should really have longer chop sticks. The shape of the hot pots are deep and you're getting your hands down far enough that you could be burned by the steam rising from the pot.

What a wonderful and fun experience! I had a couple of friend take me here since I had wanted to try hot pot & kbbq for the first time, they said this was the place to go for a great price! Great part about the AYCE is it comes with soft drinks & delicious ice cream pops at the end. I loved that it was easy to order everything consistently on an iPad - we didn't have to rely on a busy server. Plus, the little serving robots were adorable! There was a large sauce bar and sides bar - I mainly focused on the sauces. I made their listed spicy garlic sauce and it was delicious, I loved making it myself! Plus, at the sides bar don't miss on the cucumbers. Overall, all of the ingredients and broths tasted so flavorful and high quality - I didn't even need too much of my sauce I made! This was the perfect meal for me after doing the twin cities 10 mile, I was stuffed with delicious food! For first timers, don't be too afraid - the servers were all incredible helpful and all of it was pretty easy and intuitive!

I attempted to come here for dinner on two occasions and both were an hour to an hour and thirty minutes wait, and my group did not want to wait for a table. I stopped by for lunch alone and got a table immediately. It operates like an AYCE buffet where you are expected to pay and tip first (I don't carry cash, so it was hard to tip on the service when it was my first visit. So I did a 15%.) I did the hot pot AYCE. The service at lunchtime was rather quick. There were multiple wait staff attending to my needs or removing plates and bowls. It was a bit extreme for staff to come by every time I was done with a plate or bowl. One staff even followed the robot and placed the food on the table. The second time I came back for dinner on a Sunday at 4:00pm and that was a 45-minute wait. We did both hot pot and BBQ. I had the opportunity to visit the buffet cart where it has different sauces, fresh fruits, salads, and more. Otherwise, any poultry and seafood is ordered on the tablet. Overall, it was delicious and I would come back here with family. 4 out of 5 stars because of the wait time, unable to reserve a table ahead of time, and constantly checking on me when I dine during lunchtime because I was the only 3 table dining at the time.

Update on Shinhwa! I finally went back 11 months later for just the Korean bbq. We went for lunch on a Saturday and it was the best time to go. We did go right when they opened so we were seated right away. The service was great and we got our drinks right away along with our meats. The servers changed our grills when we asked and our drinks and plates were taken and refilled when needed. As for the meat quality, it's the best ayce meat options we have in MN. We have gone to many kbbq out of state so we know what quality is. Our favorite cut was the fatty beef, hanger steak, and the smoked pork belly. The pickled cucumber and daikon were great. Kimchi wasn't bad and the sauce bar was extensive. I loved the soybean paste sauce that pairs well with kbbq. Always clean and nice place to dine in too. Overall, they have redeemed themselves from my first visit and I would go back for more. I hope they keep up the great meat options and services.

Dinner AYCE hotpot n grill is great. Everything was fresh, digging the prawns n beef slices. Soup was delicious n flavorful. Services is quick n nice. You order through a menu on a tablet n brought to you by a robot. Folks are informative n cool. Place was packed on a Saturday night. Was on a waiting list but not too bad of a wait. Seating was good perfect for four people, six is snug, any more than that would be overcrowding for grilling n hot pot. Very lively place... recommended.

Love an all you can eat bbq! I love shinhwa in particular because of the vibes and the ease of ordering. Love being able to use the iPad and the robot servers!! Also love seeing Kpop all around ! Food has been good and a great variety for sure. It just gets a little pricey if you get both hot pot and kbbq but it's worth it! I wish they offered sesame oil and salt as a dip! Don't forget to leave room for the free melona ice cream at the end of your meal!

Overall we had a good experience with Shinwha. It is rather packed, and there's a lot going on with like 5-6 projections of Kpop videos channels on the wall. The hotpot and grilling were pretty good, if a bit expensive. The bulgogi are good and we enjoyed roasting some vegetables too. But if you get the cumin beef be fully prepared - they don't skimp on cumin.

Finally got a chance to try this place out. We thought it would be died down with the wait but for a Saturday around 1pm, it did take about 2 hours to get a table for 3 people. We were starving! Although it's a bigger restaurant, there's not that many tables as I thought. You have to pay before getting seated (seems normal now for a lot of Asian buffet). This is an all you can eat hotpot/korean bbq restaurant so no a la carte. The price is different if you go during the weekend vs weekend. Definitely cheapest would be lunch on weekday. Weekend is dinner price only. You can choose either just hotpot or Korean bbq or opt for both! It is only $5 more if you choose to do both. But hey $5+tips+tax can add up. Since we were hungry and both sounded delish we got the combo. FOUNTAIN DRINKS IS INCLUDED (lemonade, soda) but you can order alcohol for extra if needed. The limit is 2 hours here. This is plenty of time if you eat but since we were catching up with friends it did take longer. They don't necessary give you a last min call warning but when they did come to us, we were eating desserts so it worked out. They didn't push us out right away but let us know there is a limit and we were at the limit for another table. So be mindful of your time there especially on a busy weekend. Food comes out really fast so no problem in waiting. Although, I think some items were not available but it didn't say "out of stock" we ordered the corn like 3 times but it never came. But there were plenty of other options. Sauce bar is huge, they also have recipes if you don't know what the heck you're making. Always a perks when they have a few options for fruits and cakes for desserts as well. After tax and tips for 2 people, it was $100 for the combo. I think the weekend combo was $40 and single is $35? Price sure raised by a lot since they first open a few months ago. I think it'll keep raising at this point so go when you can. For me, I think I enjoyed the hotpot more. Next time, I'll prob just get hotpot. You can the broth and a lot more veggies, meat, seafood, noodles options vs Korean bbq. I was disappointed they didn't have Ssamjang sauce for Korean bbq. The sauce they had there was not as good. Overall, service was good, waiters were nice and smiley. Food came out fast via robot. Definitely will come back for hotpot for sure. A nice place to dine with out of towners who are hungry! But beware of wait time. Another suggestion is, I wish they can have the yelp "waitlist" this way you can put your name down as you're on the way to save time. They have an iPad by the register to put your name but it wasn't as obvious at first due to long line and a lot of being crowding inside. But let's say the usual wait is 2 hours, at least you can time it, put your name on waitlist on Yelp/online, so when you get there, it isn't a long wait. We saw a lot of other people chilling in their car like us. The good thing is, the mall is close by if you wanna drive and then come back.

$35 for only KBbq or only hot pot. $40 for both. You prepay. Non-alcoholic drinks are included. Order food from the table. Utensils, kimchi, and sauces are at the bar. This place is great for small groups between 4-12. Our favorite meat of the night was the beef belly. I thought the pork belly was too much fat to meat ratio. The prime rib steak was chewy. For the shrimp I preferred the peeled garlic shrimp over the whole unseasoned shrimp. The hot pot broth took a while to come out. I'd recommend ordering this ASAP once you are seated. The other stuff came out quickly.

Nothing better than Korean bbq and hot pot. The fact you can do both at the same time is a huge plus. I really enjoyed my time here and my kids loved it too. The service is prompt and they have a robot which will definitely give your kiddos entertainment lol. The ambiance is nice enough, it looks similar to other restaurants like this I've been to and would have to say much better than the hot pot place in the Asia mall. The only critique I would give is the way the sauce and salad bar is set up could be a little confusing for those who are not familiar with Asian cuisine. A little tutorial on what goes with what would be very helpful to those just embracing Asian cuisine. The salad bar as they called it is just a few things such as cake, fruit, Kim chi, and daikon. Very good though and some of the better Kim chi I have had.

I needed to try Shinwa when I heard about the new AYCE Kbbq and hot pot place here! The night before we went Google said they opened at 11, but sometime before we arrived the open time changed to noon. We already had plans to meet there at 11:30, so we waited. They actually opened 10 mins early and let us in! We paid, they sat us at our table, and quickly gave us a rundown of where to find the hotpot vs bbq stuff on the iPad to order. This was half of the groups first time doing hotpot and kbbq, and they were excited about the experience. Not knowing what to order, one ordered the mushroom broth and the other ordered original (beef) while I ordered the Tom yum. The mushroom and Tom yum were good, the original was okay. The reason for only four stars is their selection of kbbq meats. There are literally 4 beef options, 2 chicken, and just a few pork. Granted they do have some seafood too, I was expecting a larger variety. They don't even have kalbi as an option! Nor do they have soju! The meats that they do have were fine but nothing too exciting.

The prime brisket and prime pork belly were my absolute favorite here. Nice, thick cuts and easy to cook, packed with tons of flavor off the grill. The service was great, very attentive to our needs and friendly as well. It was spacious, didn't feel cramped, well-lit and was a great experience.

All you can eat hot pot or kbbq or both. We chose the hotpot for my cousins birthday. There's no reservations, it's first come first serve and the wait is over an hour! Once you get in, pay at the counter and the server leads you to your booth. They'll bring your beverage and to order something for the table, use the tablet. Either a server or robot will bring out the dishes. Sauce station for dipping is towards the front by the bar. The variety of meats and vegetables and amazing.

Always looking for a good AYCE KBBQ spot and I think we found the one. It was a bit of a wait but that's a given since it was a Friday night so not an issue and it was convenient how we could order what we wanted through an tablet at our table instead of flagging someone down. There was a self serve for sides and sauces. The meats came out pretty quickly and tasted amazing. I do wish we were able to get more frequent grill changes but we were able to flag down employees when needed. They were all super great about getting empty plates and kept everything clean. Overall a great experience for the price

Very good spot and better options here than anywhere else. I like the way it's setup and service is beyond impeccable and they make sure you have everything you need prior to your time limit is done. Food was fresh, and how they have the tables and area is perfect to ensure that is not crowded and you can fit 4 people to the table at one time. Make sure to make it here, it's truly worth it.

A great concept that is becoming all the more popular with K-BBQ and hot pot options. Be prepared to wait 45-60min during busy hours; it would be nice to have a digital waitlist or reservation option to spare the wait in their waiting area. There are abundant K-pop music videos playing through their wall projectors throughout the restaurant. Relatively DIY idea, where you go to the buffet for your banchan and mix your unique sauce. Prepare to cook your meat too! Menu items are expansive however sold out on several of their more popular items. Quality of meat is as expected for an AYCE restaurant. Fun to be able to order items via the table iPad (provided it is working) and receive select items via the robot server. Overall a delicious and fun experience!

I think this place is a pretty good AYCE Korean bbq and hotpot. The service was oka. We were kind of lost because the servicer didnt give clear instructions (it's not like we havent did Korean bbq, but they didn't let us know where to get scissors or tongs). The food was good, it is kind of limited of different kinds of slices. The beef brisket is very hard to eat. I had a tough time eating it. The sauce we got was really good. I think i wouldnt be able to eat anything without the good sauce. The ambiance was really loud. A lot of people were there and we had to wait about 45 mins. It is a pretty good place for an AYCE place and would recommend!

I knew this place gets really busy so we showed up early in the afternoon(1:30pm)hoping that the line will be short but still had waited in line for awhile(40mins) before we were called up to our table!. I would say the food was great and atmosphere is nice but service was not good. Also, the location could really use more parking lot!

We arrived right when they opened at 12pm on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy but folks were already here and we got a table right away for four. It's $35.99 for only the BBQ and $39.99 for both the BBQ and hotpot per person. We figured since it's only a few more dollars to try out both since it was our first time. I didn't expect us to each get our own individual small hot pots, which was super cute and nice, since we could pick the soup broth to our liking. I picked the herbal broth and enjoyed it a lot! You order off a tablet that has a massive range of options both on the hot pot side and BBQ side. I was surprised at how many seafood options they had too, a variety of shrimps, scallops, mussels, clams. The veggies were fresh and the meat was pretty good too!

So I've been here for kbbq & hotpot. Kbbq is standard and hot pot, not my favorite. I would definitely only come here for kbbq. I ordered the tom yum soup and it was savory, not spicy or sour. I didn't enjoy the broth as much. Service was alright. Lots of seating and nice inside. Has a self service tablet, that was nice.

Such a fun date night! It is nice it is first come first served! Everyone is very helpful with allergy questions and get you the right information!

We opted for just Korean BBQ. Food was fresh, there was a buffet of different sauces to create your own and they had some already made which were really good as well. My partner didn't think the sauces were spicy enough, but I liked that they were sweet & spicy. The robot waiter was cool, and talked. It brought out the meat portions to the tables. You ordered from an iPad that sent the ticket to the kitchen so no waiting for a waiter to come take our order. Overall experience was wonderful and delicious, I'll definitely go back.
