"Given the abundance of hotels in Siem Reap , it’s hard to imagine that when the Shinta Mani opened in 2003 there were few—if any—comparable boutique properties in town. It set the bar for those seeking a smaller-scale, personable, and indulgent experience, from the traditional Khmer decor to the cuisine. And like any great hotel, there comes a time for a change. Enter Bill Bensley, the Harvard-educated, Bangkok -based architect and landscape designer behind many of the world’s most arresting properties, who led a two-year total renovation of the place completed in 2012. Using cues from Angkor—columned passages, Buddhist shrines, maps and photos of the temples—Bensley dramatically transformed the Shinta Mani into a contemporary haven with a touch of whimsy, now called Shinta Mani Angkor(the larger Shinta ManiShack resort is across the road). Interiors use a stark palette—white subway-tiled floors and walls; heavy black armoires; charcoal-gray terrazzo partitions; stainless-steel light fixtures—offset by tangerine accents, in a nod to the orange-clad Buddhist monks who meander the temples’ time-worn sandstone structures. From the sugar palm tree–fringed black granite lap pool to the dangling daybeds where you’ll enjoy the decadent breakfast buffet, the Shinta Mani offers just the right mix of drama and comfort."
Truly one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. From the moment we arrived at Shinta Mani Angkor, everything was exceptional. The service is out of this world — warm, thoughtful, and always one step ahead. The hotel’s design is absolutely stunning, a perfect blend of elegance and local charm.||The food was delicious, and the bar was amazing — with a great atmosphere and beautifully crafted cocktails. The concierge was outstanding, helping us organize everything effortlessly and with genuine care.||We were also incredibly lucky to be upgraded to two suites — such a generous gesture that made our stay even more unforgettable. And the spa… I almost forgot! A true haven of peace and relaxation.||If you’re coming to Siem Reap, this hotel is a destination in itself. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

A fantastic hotel with lovely staff and a relaxing pool area. The staff were so warm and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Very attentive and helpful with beds, parasols, drinks by the pool. Drinks very reasonably priced particularly at happy hour - including the cocktail bar area with bonus of singer performing every other night. Breakfast was served over the road in other half of the hotel complex - a great selection of fruit, drinks and other hot and cold offerings. Only area for improvement would be their dining area which was not in keeping with the Cambodian style of the rest of the hotel - was too 'western diner/sterile' in both decor and many of the food offerings for our liking... though if you need a break from the local cuisine for you or your family, might just be what you're after.

This hotel is brilliant! The staff are so friendly and willing to help & share their passion for Cambodia at anytime. We stayed in the private pool villa and had a fabulous butler, John, who went above & beyond to make our experience perfect. The bed was so comfortable! Front office staff were so efficient and Grace always made sure we were having a good time & gave us travel tips.|We had the Khmer tasting menu at the Boutique Benneslley collection hotel opposite and it was a fabulous experience. The hotel restaurant was also very impressive & morning coffees were on point! Would stay again.

I had an unforgettable stay here. The staff were genuinely kind and incredibly helpful, always quick to assist and make you feel at home. I stayed in a pool villa that was simply breathtaking—spacious, peaceful, and so comfortable you never want to leave.
The bar in the evening featured a singer with an amazing voice—such a great vibe to wind down the day. Breakfast had a wide variety of fresh and tasty options, and the location is unbeatable, just a short walk to the town center but still calm and relaxing.
Overall, a perfect blend of luxury, warmth, and convenience. Highly recommended.
We will come back again!

We had a most memorable stay at the Shinta Mani Angkor. The hotel is beautiful and has a real zen feeling. So peaceful and comfortable to return to after sightseeing tours. Staff are amazing everywhere you go but particular special mention to Kim and Franklin who made such special efforts to make our stay amazing. We were sad to leave.

We are having a delicious time here in Siem Reap and this hotel!! From all the exceptional service like cool towels on re entry to such helpful staff! The bed is amazing and room care is excellent! Food is lovely and plentiful. My waiter today helped with a surprise bday lemon tart. Budram loved helping with this surprise and even the spelling was correct .. it’s that attention to detail that makes all the difference. How does the concierge remember my name???

We had a wonderful stay here at Shinta Mani in the Bayon wing. A step from the hotel room to the beautiful poolside. Wonderful service poolside with food and drinks.
Breakfast was fresh and delicious and the rooms were well served and beds very comfortable.
Most standout of all was the friendly service and helpfulness of all the staff. Nothing was too hard or too much to ask of them. From arranging transportation, small group tours, letting the kids feed their enormous koi fish, to dinner recommendations, they were brilliant.
We would stay again for sure. A truly wonderful sanctuary perfectly positioned for walking or short tuk tuk rides in.

We had a lovely time at Shinta Mani. The hotel was very elegantly and tastefully designed and made, with comfortable rooms and amazing service. It is designed and inspired by Bill Bensley.|They had a lovely pool, deals and a store. When you come, please ask for Franklin, Bry and Pai at reception, they were very kind, friendly and helpful.||The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had and they had a live singer at the bar, a great happy hour deal and amazing quality of food. ||The only piece of advice I would give is to at if possible, maybe you could include some more activities in the hotel, for example a table tennis board or something similar. Also, didn’t see any elevators here (but I might be wrong - so please check with the hotel) so may be difficult for the elderly staying on the 2nd floor||Regardless, 10/10. Highly recommended
