Google
I really enjoy the steamed dumplings and the pan fried pork, highly recommended if you are craving Chinese food. Servers were also friendly and kind, overall great experience.

The dumplings are pretty good - not mind blowing or anything, but they’re nice and fresh. The fried dumplings are the way to go here, even though I usually prefer steamed. They’re really juicy and flavourful. The peach juice that I got was also absolutely delicious. Service is fairly quick as well. No real complaints, but it’s not my favourite place to get dumplings in Toronto. If you’re not a huge fan of very umami flavours in your dumplings, this might not be your ideal spot. Prices are pretty good as well.

Google
Nice little place for dumplings, but they actually have quite an extensive menu. Some dishes are quite reasonable and others are on the pricier side. Portions are generous. Not as crowded as other places close by, but worth a spot on the rotation. I would recommend this place for both locals and visitors.

The best authentic Chinese food in downtown! Sweet and sour pork tenderloin, amazing eggplant, grilled cauliflower, smashed cucumber salad, and even the rice were perfect and very yummy. Portions were gigantic, two-three dishes are enough for two people. The staff is friendly, always smiling and ready to recommend something. Definitely our go-to place every week

we stopped in for a snack today! nice little place, very clean and cosy. the fried bao (生煎包)were mid, i think the dough might have been a little undercooked because it was a little sticky. we also tried the osmanthus soup sticky rice balls (桂花汤圆) and it tasted like sugar water. for what it’s worth, the rice balls still tasted pretty good, just no osmanthus flavour lol

The food was so delicious!! Loved their dumplings which were steamed and pan fried. But my favorite was lotus root and jicama stir fry! Was so good!! 😋😋

Was researching online and the individual hot pot set caught my eye. Decided to give it a try. You get to pick your choice of meat, sauce, and staple food (rice, noodle, or soup dumplings). The set comes with assorted veggies, quail eggs, luncheon meat, bean curd roll, imitation crab sticks, fish balls, enoki mushrooms, and yam noodles. Also included is plum juice and sesame balls for dessert. It was a lot of food and I was not able to finish everything. At $19.95+tax, you really can't go wrong!

Google
So so so glad this place is Downtown! Have dined in a few times already and it is consistently the best. Food is served extremely quick and fresh and even though they specialize in dumplings/buns their dishes are such high quality. Service is also as good as it gets, everyone is kind and the waitress working weekdays is so nice! Definitely underrated because never as crowded as its quality and service should guarantee it is. Will have to try and get take out next for a full review! June 2024 (Update): Still a favourite DT! New dishes/pictures updated.

Yelp
Visited this restaurant with family after a recommendation and a concert at Koerner Hall The restaurant looked pretty cute and had a lot seating. We had stir fried lamb slices with cumin, black pepper beef, Yu-Shiang shredded pork, celery black fungus salad, and Rainbow dumplings. The portion size was good and the food was delicious. Food came out pretty quickly even while the restaurant was busy with online orders and delivery.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and location on Yonge street. Their fried bao was oily, didn't have enough soup and not crispy enough on the bottom. It was more like a rounder dumpling... not bad for $6/4 baos.

Yelp
Good spot for dinner because they tend to have a few empty tables . The dumplings are very unique but I would honestly Skip out on the rainbow dumplings - some odd combinations despite how pretty they look!

Yelp
Visited May 10th, 2024, ordered their special to go and was told it would take 5 minutes (great!) ended up waiting for 20+ minutes for a single dish to go, and the restaurant wasn't that busy (had 3 tables?) I would recommend an improvement on either. A: Expectation on turn around time B: Updates if the dish it going to take longer then anticipated C: Have the food ready in an acceptable time frame Wouldn't recommend this place if you're hungry. The food itself is nice, but not for a 20 minute wait for a single item.

Yelp
Visited in Nov 2023, the place wasn't too busy on a Saturday afternoon. The seating was a bit tighter than some other restaurants. This maybe due to the table arrangement. We tried the rainbow dumplings (different dumplings with different wrappings), regular pork and cabbage dumplings and two styles of Xiao Long baos (the traditional way and the pan fried way). Overall, the food was good and hit the spot on a chilly day. The server was friendly and catered to our every need during the dine in. The only item that stands out is the vinegar provided is not the regular red vinegar as well as ginger is not provided unless asked to go along with the Xiao Long bao. One plus side is they accept credit compared to other Chinese restaurants that are cash or debit only.

Yelp
Came here for takeout lunch on a Tuesday! They had a sign outside about their Bento Box deal, which I ended up getting. Best part is the price: the Bento Box was only about $21 before tip. There was also a short wait, roughly 10-15 minutes after ordering, to get the food. There's a lot of food in the Bento Box: rice, chicken, two dumplings (your choice of beef or zucchini), broccoli, and miso soup. While the soup, broccoli, and dumplings were tasty, I think the chicken was a little bland. If I come back, I'll get an assortment of other dumplings instead of getting an entrée. The service was friendly and polite, and the ambience inside was peaceful, quiet, and clean. All in all, a good experience!

Yelp
This place gets 3.5 stars. Ironically, given the name of the shop, the dumplings were the worst item: the soup dumplings were so so. The skin was quite thick & they were not that juicy, though they tasted decent. The vinegar was lousy: very diluted. The signature stir fried pork slices were pretty spicy & had a good wok flavour. The dish had quite a lot of meat. Braised beef brisket noodles were decent. The dish was a bit spicy. Stir fried noodles with shrimp was good. It was fried with soy sauce. There was not much shrimp & they were small though.

Yelp
Walked by the area and saw they had a $3.99 deal on their soup dumplings! (six pieces of xiao long bao). Offer worked for takeout or for a total minimum spend of $15 in-store. Needless to say, the dumplings were delicious and definitely worth it for the price. The dumplings were super juicy and fresh. They were so good we decided to order another batch at regular price to cover the rest of the $15 for our dine-in. Can definitely see myself visiting again!

Yelp
Got the soup dumpling special for $3.99 (only applies to the first order), green onion pancakes, chicken dumplings, and salted egg yolk puff pastry. Everything was great, but the puff pastry didn't taste totally fresh to me. Really lovely service.

Yelp
Well designed interior and appears to be clean however I was quite taken back by the state of the condiments on the table - a vinegar soy and hot sauce stainless steel display that was disgustingly dirty. I asked the waitress to clean it and she took it away, gave it a quick wipe and brought it back. First time here so I did ask whether I could get two different types of dumplings in a single serving and got a flat no. Fair enough. Chicken dumplings were excellent, as well as the sesame seed ball soup - understandably sweet but well toned with the addition of soya sauce. I would come again to explore this menu further as it looks promising and what I was served was quite delicious.

Yelp
been back probably 5 times. it's a reliable, practical spot. good portion sizes for the price, and they do dumplings well.

Yelp
dumplings were ok, nothing too special and could have had more filling. chow mein was also average. claire and alexandra enjoyed tho!

Yelp
I love the colourful rainbow dumplings they make! They use all natural colors, and each color is a different flavor. Dumplings were flavorful and the wrapper was perfectly thin and slightly chewy. I docked one star because they were a bit small, and pricey for the portion size, but I know the natural colourings don't come cheap!

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I usually get their fried dumplings, and their shrimp/pork dumplings. Their food never makes you feel like you ate a bunch of grease. Super fresh, and good quality I would call atleast 30 mins before because everytime i call they said 15 mins but ends up being about 30 mins for pick up!

Yelp
Very tasty shrimp casserole and the dumpling are excellent. The staff is so nice and helpful Highly recommended

Yelp
I got an order of the Rainbow dumplings- basically one of every dumpling they make. Nothing really stood out in regards to flavour. They were freshly made however as you see the chefs make the dumplings in front of the window.

Yelp
I had the stir fried chicken noodles and fried pork cabbage dumplings. When I tell you the food was bomb it was booooommmmmbbbbb. The service was great and the restaurant was very nice. You really felt like you were out of town being in that restaurant. Very chill vibes.

Yelp
Their dumplings are not bad but their kung pao chicken is some of the best in the city!!! Love this place

Yelp
Really good The shredded chicken is a wonderful upgrade on chicken salad. Smashed cucumber salad nice with everything Dumpling fresh and well made.

Yelp
This is the first time I have ever wished I could give a place zero stars. My dad's braised pork with vegetables was about 60% cartilage, and the meat itself was completely limp and flavorless, although it was marginally better than my brisket and noodles order. The broth and meat literally lacked any and all seasoning whatsoever, and I couldn't even chew the latter because it was also almost entirely cartilage. But the pièce of resistance was really my mom's sweet and sour fish--completely. Inedible. It was deep fried and I honestly could not say if I was able to taste any actual fish in that dish, it tasted like pure fried bread. Please don't come here if you want to actually enjoy your meal.
