Shipley Do-Nuts

Went in this morning to get some Kolaches, I got two and they were both hard, over cooked and very salty. Never coming here again.

Got a dozen glazed and a bottle of chocolate milk. The donuts were hot and soft. They were what I usually come to expect. Amazing. We don’t have one close by so I try to make the most of it when visiting. Will definitely come by again

I come around 4-5am and i get fresh hot kolaches and cold glazed doughnuts. I don’t understand how the doughnuts are cold but it’s usually on point! Drive thru is fast

Don’t come here!!! What do you think about selling low quality donuts for customers. My child ate moldy donut without knowing it.

The sales associate was very nice. The only complaint was that the store was closed only the drive thru window was open during the day on a Saturday. The person at the windows spoke very little English, so some of the flavors she selected were incorrect.

I work near this location, everytime i try to get some food when i get off at 2AM, there is never no one attending. You can see movement inside but i go to the drive through window , honk, wait and nothing. One of the times a fat guy inside seen me and he just didn’t care and keept ignoring me. I guess we are bothering them by wanting service

Will be contacting an attorney. This morning I went in to this location off of 45s and college and ordered half a dozen of “fresh” glazed donuts and once home after my child had already bitten out of the donut I notice black mold on not only one but ALL of my donuts.. When I came to goggle I saw that this is not the first time this location has produced and sold molded dough to their customers which is beyond unacceptable.

i order on the mobile app all the time and my order is never ready when i arrive and i have to wait with all the in-store orders. or when i do order online, they dont have or ran out of the items i ordered. do not order ahead at anytime of the day. orders are never ever ready. also says open 24/7 but after 5pm, its one person working and taking exclusively drive through orders. she locked the door and made a gesture to go through the drive through. because of their unreliability, you cant even see what they have and just have guess. staff is always rude at anytime of the day. better off driving further out to find a better store. this one is no longer a good place.

I went to Shirley's to get breakfast for the grands. I ordered 2 orders of donut holes and 2 kolaches. I ask the lady if the sausage and cheese was spicy she assured me it was not. I asked what the difference between the bold and regular and was told the cheese. Well the price is also different the regular is 2.79 and the bold was 3.49. Well I'm here to tell you besides the price higher the bold was indeed spicy so it was a waste of money because the girls couldn't eat them. The language bearer might have been the problem but next time be sure what you tell customers because my girls are 1 and 2 and to serve them something spicy is not what I do. Which means I had to immediately stop to get them something to cool down their mouths and stomach.

Love Shipleys donuts AND their coffee. The doughnuts are always fresh here, and the apple fritters, just wow. I love them.

The kolaches were made horribly the dough was still kinda raw , it had literally no cheese and then the ham and sausage in the kolaches were old

This is a standard Shipley donuts location with a wide selection. They have donuts, kolaches, and milk and coffee. The donuts are fresh and made in the shop. There are pretty much all the typical type to expect from Shipleys. It's not crazy fancy like other specialty donut shops, but they taste great. Hot glazed donuts can be requested if they have any available at the time. The larger sized spicy (jalapeño and cheese) kolaches are always a hit at work or breakfast events. Large open parking lot with drive thru also. Not the nicest neighborhood, but I still felt safe. Will return

I was in the drive-thru line and when it's finally my turn the lady had an ugly attitude! She didn't ask me if I wanted anything else so to no waste her time as soon as she turned to get the kolaches I said I want something else and when I am telling you she ROLLED HER EYES AT ME! she was so mean so rude! I've came to this location so many times but that lady is making me never want to go back! She was irritated! What a terrible customer service! Please act like you don't see no stars!

Not 24/7 hours at all. Times aren't accurate on website. I've been here a few times and asked for fresh donuts, instead I got cold ones.

I know that donuts are bad for me, and I don't really give a ship. Confession: My favorite Donuts in Texas are Shipley's! Believe it or not! They are absolutely wonderful - but only when they are piping hot and fresh out of the oven. Or is it fryer? I have no idea. Anyway. I called ahead and they said they had fresh hot donuts. They certainly did! They were scaldingly delicious and fluffy and right out of whatever it is they are cooked in. Could not have tasted any fluffier and better and greasier. They are every bit as good as the wonderful location way out on Westheimer that is also open 24 hours a day and also has Hot Donuts around the clock. Granted, we got some strange looks from staff and patrons because of the shoes that my girlfriend was wearing, but overall I could not describe these little treats as anything but utterly fantastic. One of the real gems of the Houston food scene. And yes I can say that with a straight face. Or a less straight face ;)

Worst experience! No such thing as customer service at this location. I ordered 2 jalapeño kolaches and 2 blueberry cake donuts and a coffee. The donuts were burned and I received 2 plain kolaches. When I complained about donuts being burned the girl in the drive through got and attitude, manager proceeds to break the donuts in front of me.

My wife raves over this place so she booked me a hotel right next to Shipleys on my trip to Houston. They have a really good Apple fritter, even better Kolaches. May be the best kolaches I've ever had! Highly recommend if you have a Shipley's in your area. Sometimes their locations are few and far between, especially if you live in north Dallas.

Classic glazed always on hand, Bavarian filled ones too. Best part they have the drive thru. Kids tell me what they want and as regulars they always want the same thing. This mommy can go in her pj's, no shoes, no make up, and no bra. I feed the kids breakfast and crawl back into bed. Everyone wins.

Very good Do-Nuts. Very bad coffee. I threw my coffee away. It tasted burnt. The donuts tasted fresh. The cake donut was delicious. The regular donut was very light. It had pockets of air in it. Not comparable to krispy cream or Dunkin'. These donuts stand in their own. But that coffee was so bad I have to take stars off. The donut experience needs good coffee to go with it.

Parking lot not very lit so a bit spooky coming in but once your at the store front everything changes. The whole front of this Shipley's pretty much lights up 1/4 of the parking area, if not for this I probably would pass. I sat in my car eating my kolache and donut holes which I may add were kind of fresh but not stale and will add that at around 5:00 a.m. you will see a lot of the clientele to be of the Hispanic culture, not saying this is anything bad but just a little demograph. One thing I must add if you order a small orange juice, you will get a micro sized 8 oz which I did not see (too early in the morning to open eyes anyways) instead of the 12 oz bottle that is more visible. Cashiers aren't very friendly but not rude, stoic may be the word for this round.

Please know that Not all Shipleys are created equally. My daughter LOVES donuts and we were on our way home and she located this 24hr Shipley... the worse experience ever!!! The lady quoted the total gave me my card and receipt back the receipt was less than what she quoted I thought she must have calculated incorrectly somewhere because we never pay that amount at other locations for the same order so I was ok with the receipt because it was closer to what we typically pay at other Shipleys... well only to notice 2 charges on my card because welp I guess she gave me an incorrect receipt and decided to run my card twice, I hate when this occurs even for minute amounts because it brings up the concern of how much more damage could they do *ugh* So on top of inconsistency with charging the donuts were old, burned just Yuck!!!! Like OMG why does my blueberry cake donut look like a cookie its burnt that's why same as the cinnamon twist and just why oh why would your glazed donuts NOT be fresh. Just because you are 24hr shop does not mean to sever day old or from 6am to 10pm the same donuts until gone

The guy working was super nice, he treated us very well. I ordered a cream filled, but it must have been old or something because it was not soft and just tasted terrible. We visited at 11:00 at night, so they were probably made that morning. I would not recommend going this late, maybe try it at a time when the doughnuts are fresh.

I'm a big fan of Shipley's because it reminds me of Home, Houston With that being said, I really do like their donuts. BUT you know what sucked about this particular morning? The lady at the drive thru window. She didn't greet me, didn't smile, she said nothing to me! She did give me a look of disgust though No one deserves that. I get it, that we can all have a bad day, but don't take it out on others. The only thing she did tell me....what I owed her...I didn't hear her and asked what she said and she repeated it in the same monotone voice. (Insert confused face) I handed her my card. She quietly took it from me, charged my card, went to get my donuts, then handed me my card and donuts...all without saying a word!!! Her face looked as if I pissed in her coffee and I don't even know this woman! Oof! Donuts are 5 stars, but that attitude has no place in business.

I wanted to try Shipleys while down south and this location had good reviews and was open 24/7, done deal. After 6:30 the inside of the shop is closed, drive thru only. That's all good and well, but there is no menu posted outside and we had never been to a Shipleys before, so had no idea what to order! They have all the standard donuts, so they would probably just have whatever you want to order - but I'm particular and need to know all of my options. So we went to the front of the shop and peered in the window, squinting, then got back in our cars and to the drive thru once more. It was kind of annoying, but the donuts were SO GOOD that it made us forget. The apple fritter was LEGENDARY, the dough was perfectly savory, pulled apart, and the sweet tinge of apple was dead on. Chocolate topped with nuts, solid donut, excellent flavor, good chunks of walnut! Chocolate stuffed with cream was soft and yummy, cream was a good consistency and not cloying, glaze was DREAMY. Blueberry filled and cherry filled - love when jelly donuts are glazed. These were certainly perfection. Even though they stop making fresh ones after 6PM here, at 7PM it was still quite warm. Donuts are small, so get an extra one :) Very affordably priced.

Donuts! Cake donuts! Sadly, no chocolate cake donuts. Buttercream cake donuts did the trick though. The Kolache is mostly bread. Prices are cheap(ish).

I work this shop with my mother patty the manger, it's 24 hours but 8PM the door close so y'all get in drive thur with a CAR not walking please just for safety and see me for HOT GLAZED at 5PM!!!

So went here early this morning around 445am. I ordered some sprinkle donuts and this is how they were when I opened the box at the store... I go they all melted, sticky and super hot. Do you have any that aren't completely melted? Her response was well they are fresh.. here are napkins.. don't get me wrong fresh donuts are nice and love them, but this was not the case. No that's not the reason... the reason is because you didn't want to wait the right amount of time to cool them before placing the icing... instead I have I melted all over the bottom of a box and not on the donut. They look disgusting and I don't have time to stop anywhere else. Several times I have come here and if they donuts aren't like this, they seem to be over cooked.

NASTY SERVICE WITH BAD ATTITUDE Heard a lot about this place. Visited on 8.6.2019 at 5:30 PM for coffee and do-nuts. We were greeted with such a BAD attitude and NASTY service. Manager and workers do not wear gloves while working with food. Bad experience. Garry D

Pretty big kolache! Although it was mostly the bread ... That's what you should typically expect when buying them here. I still like them because the type of bread they use for it. The glazed donuts are always fresh ..no matter the location you go ...you can always expect a nice hot one (do-nut)!

I do not have a sweet tooth and don't eat very many donuts. When I am in the State of Texas and visiting my grandchildren I MUST have a Shipley's donut. I found them to simply be irresistible. I am not a fan of their Kolache. Sadly though I found their coffee to be below the horrible taste level. I did not find the place very clean so I do not sit there with my grandkids. Staff were not very friendly and the area is not well lit. So it must be the donuts why I keep coming back when in town.

Location for me was a little spooky for 5AM.. Good fast breakfast for on the go.. Dozens donut holes, some juice and 2 cream filled donuts for the Husband for $4.00 not to shappy.. 1st time ever at a Shipley's.. So far, so good.

One of the best Shipley's I've been to in Houston. All the iced donuts were loaded (I do like my sugar), and all were still hot and soft. (Visited late on a Saturday night)

Was in Houston for the week, Shipley and specifically this location was a wonderful find. The donuts were hot and tasted fresh. If I ever come back to the city I'll make sure to go again!

I have waited 18 years for a Shipley's ham and cheese kolache. They are as good as I remember. They are missing one star because the chocolate cream filled donut was more "cakey" than I recall. Still a superior donut to most.

You can get glazed donuts here hot and fresh any time of the day. The facility is clean and the workers are very friendly. I don't like cold donuts, so I come here for fresh ones as often as I can.

I stopped eating donuts years ago, but with a friend and I driving through Houston and seeing an endless number of Shipley's locations we finally stopped at this one to see how it compares to other donut shops. We considered this place to be much better than Krispy Creme. The assortments are more diverse. They are more fair priced, taste better and the friendly service can't be beat. If we're in the market for donuts, we'd come again.

Probably the worst Shipley in Houston. Service was terrible.. The donuts looked a day old.. Not satisfied
