Where can you start. First off this is not a « hotel » and is liable for false advertising. Anyone who has recommended this property as a hotel should have their credibility questioned. This is a property split over 3 lots that are NOT connected. To get from the reception to the other buildings where rooms are you have to walk out on a main road that is not lighted up at night also. The 3 lots of the property are on a main road where you hear the cars from the rooms. And when I say main road I mean directly on the main road. It is a facility clearly not built for function, and in between the 3 lots there are many personal residential houses, imagine a poorly planned suburban area. Most of the images of nature etc that are portrayed but the property are 20min to 2 hour drive away and are part of the nature hikes they propose to you that cost an additional €120 - €300 per PERSON to take part. There are no « wellness » facilities to enjoy at the properties or lots I should say. There is a private « bathtub » you can book for 70€ for 45 mins. A freaking bathtub!! Not natural spring or anything a bathtub!!
Food: room service does not exist, surprising for a 5* « hotel » the food menu in the « restaurant » has extremely limited choices, for dinner you have a 4 course menu that does not change, or you are forced to order minimum 2 items from the menu. I mean what cheap hospitality forces their guests to order minimum 2 items?!?! Especially when there are only, 2 salads, 2 appetizers, 4 mains and 2 deserts. Other food options not possible as nothing is found around. The town is 15-20min by car or a 2 hour walk, so you are trapped. For breakfast you have a choice of western or Japanese. Which comes with almost nothing, if you want an egg, 1 egg, its extra charge it’s not even part of the breakfast.
There is much more to say but I need to stop, it is clear who ever built this did not build it to be a hotel or a wellness center, everything is clearly an after thought and very poorly executed, trying to scam money from guests at every turn.
This place is the only regrettable part of our Japan trip, the poor staff know it too, you feel the tears and fear in their eyes trying to sell something to you far from reality.
