Great place to eat after lots of traveling. The menu is small but you can tell that they took the time to perfect everything. We got the bang bang chicken, wagyu gyoza, and beef bao bun, 10/10. The guy was extremely nice and we got out food pretty quick. Don’t skip out!

I started a new job that brings me to Tampa once every few weeks and this place SLAPS! I eat here without fail every visit. The seared ahi tuna isn’t something I’d normally order either but it’s just too good. Mike and Uli are really cool too and their other location has an awesome bar that they recommended.

We were looking for a place to get something after a show at the Straz and I didn’t realize this was a food truck until we got there. Don’t hesitate on that at all and check this place out! We absolutely loved the short rib bao and the wagyu gyoza. They look to have a good number of vegan options as well.

Best bang bang chicken I’ve had. So much portions it’s so worth the price. You could have half and be stuffed, then have it for lunch tommorow and it’s still perfect. Hit this place up at least once a week. Also Mike is the boy.

I have to start this review off by saying that this hands down is the best tuna and gyoza i have had in Tampa. Every aspect to the food was absolutely delicious, and the service was amazing as well. You can tell every order is made fresh by individuals who care about the quality of their products.

I decided to try this because of the positive reviews and order through Uber eats . TBH it’s not what I expected . Rice was sticky a little wet and too pack below , the chicken wasn’t crispy at all like old chicken you fried it awhile ago not fresh fried ( the time duration of delivery time was less than 10 mins ) Overall taste was ok but compare with the price I prolly wont order it again :(

The food here is amazing!!! The bang bang chicken is AMAZING. I wish they had one closer to NPR! We love to eat here before going to the Tampa Theater to see a film.

First time eating here. Ordered the chicken dirty rice. Wasn't what I expected. Reason for 4 stars. Expected the Cajun dish. Lobster Rangoon is the best I've ever had. Overall I highly recommend Shiso Crispy if you're staying at the Courtyard Marriott and looking for a quick tasty meal. They even have vegan and gluten free options.

By far my favorite place since I've moved to Tampa! Their food taste amazing and the service is really amazing. Uli and kaleah are always help me and provide me the best service.. Im glad i found this spot! Come here whenever you are in downtown or st Pete's!

Mike and Mimi was awesome! The tables were very clean and sturdy! The food was very good! The bay buns were amazing

Always recommend this place to whoever is in downtown Tampa. This is a comfort meal but is definitely a brick to eat all of it.

Definitely worth the bucks cause it is so filling. It is tasty, however, I personally would add something acidic, like kimchi or pickle, to enhance the flavor. Recommend getting this to share!! It is a little food truck in a parking lot downtown. There are some seatings which are nice to sit to people and car watch.

Yummy food (good amount for decent price) Great customer service and nice place to sit (could keep seating area cleaner though) One bowl while $20 ish can definitely feed two, lots of meat.

It is about 3.5 stars. The food truck price is almost the restaurant with physical address price. It is a tall task for the value of the food to compare a sit down order restaurant. We got the ahi tuna rice plate. The slices of ahi tuna is a bit little less for the value we have paid. Event the side is less of number. Overall is a good to try and been there.

Unfortunately, I spotted a rat running from the back of the restaurant. I have reported it to the City Of St Pete. The food did smell good though!

We came here on a Saturday around 8pm. The flavors here, amazing! We ordered and food service took about 20 mins. This is a food truck and we didn't want to eat outside at the tables so We had a 10 minute drive home. By time we got home our food was ice cold. The packing isn't great so I assume that's why the heat didn't keep. Also the food tasted as if it was fried really hard & like the oil tasted kind of burnt. I'd try this place again bc the flavors were so good. I'd just come earlier in the day

We absolutely love the lobster Rangoon! Every time we are in the downtown area we make sure to swing by and grab an order (or two) the Bao are also extremely light and flavorful! Everything here is Fresh and delicious. This is definitely a hidden gem the locals love to keep hidden! The employees are always friendly and the food comes quick! We take a seat next to the truck or to a bar nearby!

Okay, this is Asian Fusion, folks... so we need to keep that in mind. Pros: Friendly, fast, great presentation and portion, she is definitely so crispy, recommended by hotel staff. Cons: 1) Okay, this is definitely one of those if you've got the munchies or been drinking all night type of food. The spice is kind of underwhelming and I honestly think they should give it a choice of different levels of spice. I think it is too sweet! 2) It is heaavyyyyyy on the carbs, breading, and sauce. I kinda felt sick after eating half of it. A suggestion would be to add some kind of veggie freshness to enhance the dish and to balance it all out. Or at least give it an option to. 3) It's very filling, but not sure if the amount of quality ingredients is worth the price. Take it as you will, but this is coming from an Asian so... I sorta know what I'm talking about

We were downtown for a show at the Straz on a weekday. We didn't have time to eat before the show and Shiso Crispy was open and not a long walk at all. First, I was surprised (not disappointed!) that this was a food truck. No worries at all. There are some cute little covered tables and bar height chairs to enjoy your food and it was a gorgeous night. We ordered Bang Bang Chicken Bowl and two orders of Bao Buns to share, the tuna and the short rib. This was a one man operation with a lot of customers to feed so it took a bit for the food to be ready. No problem at all. When it did come, one of our orders of Bao buns was missing. Easily remedied. The Bang Bang Chicken was very good, but not a whisper of heat in the vicinity. Like it was temperature hot, but where was the Bang? Mush less the Bang Bang? The rice was terrific. But dang I wanted some kind of heat from the chicken. I opened up the Bao buns and my heart sank. They were COVERED in a dark vegetal substance. I hoped it was seaweed but in my heart, I knew. I have a pesky and ongoing allergy to cabbage and these days, restaurants are straight up leaving it off of descriptions and surprising me with it. I get that menu boards have limited space, but when the dish has three components- bun, meat and slaw (and loads and loads of slaw), it's worth mentioning. Especially since the word slaw only has four teensy letters. My friend did a taste test and yep- purple cabbage. For Pete's sake. I spent a considerable amount of time removing every speck and sliver of cabbage and trying the tuna bun. It was fine. I know why it had a slaw, and am sure I'd have liked it much better had I been able to eat it as intended. But had I known the slaw was a component I wouldn't have ordered it at all. If I'm in the area and need sustenance, I would definitely get a bowl with that delicious rice. But sadly, I'm not rushing back.

Best I ever had. Yes and I say that with conviction, it is the best I have ever, personally, tasted. Japanese food truck. The tables out front are super cute. The woman that took my order was helpful, kind and polite. :) It's a bit of a wait for the food so my recommendation is get more than you need to take home so the wait makes sense unless you have some time to chill and wait for an order. However, there is an upside to this. The food you can watch them make fresh in front of you. She even said, "sorry for the wait. I wanted to make sure they were super fresh." Well, how lovely. The end result? Divine Boa buns. Boas Jackfruit- 10/10 Bang bang- 10/10 Steak 8/10 - but to other buns not here it's probably a 10. Bang bang meal - so divine - you crave it again right after you eat it. I legit bit into and went mmmm. You know the flavors are great, texture is great. Must experience and it's soooo worth it. The food here is fire!!! The portions are large enough to share, or have leftovers! The service is always pleasant! The flavors are robust, food is hot,& rice is perfect every time! My only complaint is that I have been here multiple times and they are always out of the Gyozas no matter what time I come. If you have had them you will understand my disappointment. I would rather they just change the menu to not include them. However they do have other yummy options, from the choices they do have!

I was excited to try this place since the vibe/atmosphere seemed cool. The food was not as good as expected. Service was not great, but not terrible.

Shiso Crispy makes me feel old. A food truck parked within a downtown parking lot open late sounds like a great find. However, the food is more for a late-night meal after an evening of drinking. I ordered the chicken and it is massive! It's two pounds of rice and 13 pieces of fried chicken with sauce over it. It tasted fine, but I got full after eating a third of it. I couldn't stomach more.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! The rice was hard and the chicken was flavorless it tastes like a concoction of duck sauce rice vinegar & yum yum sauce. Not worth $20 a plate me and my husband ended up throwing it away as it wasn't edible & I would like a Refund if possible .

Huge portions which is great if you like eating a lot of rice. Unpopular opinion . . . The quality to the price is no where near close. For almost $20 there should be more meat. The sticky rice was too sweet for my taste buds. My wife feel sick after eating her food. Was pulling for this spot being a small business but just not my cup of tea

I love that this food truck is conveniently located and open pretty late, we went here after our flights to Tampa arrived after 10 PM, and didn't pull up to here until almost midnight. The portions were generous, we tried the chicken dirty rice bowl, and the two buns. I felt the chicken was a little dry and too crispy, but I really loved the buns. The beef, short rib inside of them was fresh and juicy and well seasoned. I would have rather gotten the rice with this too. The prices were no steal, but being the only late night food option that isn't fast food comes with a price I guess.

Awesome food, great employees. If you have time it's definitely worth the trip. I hope the city takes the time to clean up the park

We ordered the bang bang chicken and bbq short rib and both were delicious!!! Although this is served from a food truck the service and quality exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend trying their desserts as well (pistachio coconut cheesecake and butterscotch banana cake). Plenty of seating interior and exterior. Would definitely try again whenever we are in the Tampa area!

Amazing food with great service! Comfortable outside seating. I really do not eat from food trucks; however, I read so many good reviews I felt like it was worth a try. I was extremely pleased!

This shit slaps. I stay down the road from this place once in a while for work. I found this food truck on google and decided to make the trek one day when I didn't feel like going to a sit down place, and I'm glad I did! The bang bang chicken was really good! The gyoza was great, the spring rolls were also great, and the lobster Rangoon is good as well. If you're debating trying this place, do it!

Food was yummy and although there was only one individual worker on the truck he was keeping up and pushing out orders in a timely manner! Our order only took about 15 mins, took a quick walk at river walk across the street to kill time. Flavor was on point and we'll definitely be back!

The bang bang chicken here was out of this world good. The chicken coating was perfectly crisp and full of flavor. The sauce was banging and not too strong. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. Absolute must try when visiting downtown Tampa.

My girlfriend and I recently moved into Element in downtown Tampa and kept noticing this food truck, so we finally decided to try it. From the moment we arrived, Terry greeted us warmly and made us feel at home. He was incredibly professional, personable, and knowledgeable about food, offering detailed menu explanations and even sharing local food recommendations. The food itself was outstanding--prepared quickly and with impressive attention to detail--but what really stood out was the experience. Our conversation with Terry took everything to another level. This food truck is now a staple for us, and we can't wait to go back!

I was so excited to eat at this food truck after reading about the chef who owns it. Her story is amazing. My experience was not. The rice was mushy, the vegan chicken tasted a bit freezer burnt, the flavor was ok, but that didn't stop me from throwing a $20 plate of food in the garbage (and i don't have money to waste!) Also, it was clear the woman, not the owner, who worked the food truck didn't want to be at work on the day I visited. The truck is located in downtown Tampa, so, of course, the surroundings were beautiful. I do not recommend eating at this food truck if you are vegan.

I love their crab rangoons. they are very grea t in size and warm to the tounge . I definitley reccomednd going here if you are looking for a quick bite

We stumbled upon the cutest food truck on the corner of N Tampa and E Cass. The truck has cool art with 4 high top tables with outdoor lights. While the food takes a 10 to 15 minutes, it's worth the wait. Fresh with the most amazing flavors. We ordered the Wagyu Gyoza, Lobster Rangoon, and Spring Rolls. The side sauces were as divine as the food. we sat at the able and ended up ordering another round of rangoons because they were highly recommend!

I'm rating this place awesome because they have scrumptious vegan options! Being a new vegan in the Tampa Bay Area, a lot of the places near that are really amazing I've come to enjoy are shutting down and closing their doors. Here, they offer some unique vegan fare, a few examples, BBQ Jackfruit Bao Buns (yum), Vegan Garlic Chive Rangoons (double yum), and their signature Dirty Rice with a Vegan Bang Bang Chicken option (ultra yum ... this is my typical GO TO, adding EXTRA FRIED ONIONS). Terry (GM), Alex, and Audrianna are all amazing individuals and I look forward to being serviced by these guys, and I hope you're fortunate enough to be served by them! Support local businesses and eateries. Much respect.

Unfortunately they were out of gyoza which seems to be a common thing according to the other reviews . Considering I went there on a Saturday around lunch it seems odd that they'd already be out. The lobster rangoons were . I should have just ordered two of those. I also had the barbecue beef but couldn't finish it because it was cloyingly sweet and the dirty rice that accompanied it was also really sweet which I was not expecting. The combination was not good. Service was good and fast .

Omgosh where do I start. While visiting Tampa for the LSU bowl game we found this amazing gem. Bang Bang Chicken Dirty Rice and the Short Rib Dirty Rice are both amazing!!! The Bao's are fresh and steamed right before they are handed to you. I am a really picky eater and when I tell you I ate until I simply could not eat anymore! The seating is super cute and the owner was very nice. Too bad it's our last day here or we would definitely be going back.

Went after a movie at the Tampa Theatre. I was looking forward to this because the reviews are pretty good. I ordered the bang bang chicken and the lobster rangoons. I was told the food would take 10-15. No biggie so I go back to my car and return 15 minutes later. Grab my food and head down the road back to my hotel. I decided I wanted to eat my Rangoon on the way... why were they lukewarm?? That was the first disappointing thing. Out of curiosity I want to see if the chicken was lukewarm also and there are no forks or napkins in the bag ‍. So I had to eat lukewarm chicken and rice with my fingers! If you are going to serve food that has been sitting don't make me wait and I won't expect it to be piping hot! I was visiting from Michigan so I won't return and if I were you i would think twice about visiting this food truck.

Ok first and foremost the food is freakin delicious, the chicken is crazy crunchy and rice is great. The Lobster Rangoon was also tasty. Love the outside sitting area was cute but I did take my food to go. The woman taking my order was super nice and friendly . I would come again, I would recommend others to come and I'd totally bring my mom here too. Can't wait to come again!!!

This place is hands down the best food truck (hate to call it that) I've ever had. Therea two guys working were amazing and super personalable. We also order 1 of everything except only did one order of the dumplings. Everything was amazing!!!

Insane! The best bang bang chicken bao bun! I just finished 2 and if there were 10 more in front of me I'd probably eat them. Also glad I found a local spot while in Tampa.

Excellent food! Had the Ahi Tuna Dirty Rice bowl with spring rolls (not pictured but equally just as good!) Rice was very good. Tuna was awesome. Huge portion. Alyssa did a fantastic job! Would go back again in a heartbeat.

Shiso crispy is delicious! My favorite item here is the bang bang chicken. Everything is super tasty! They have a great location in downtown Tampa that's easy to access. The staff is always friendly. Will be back and definitely recommend trying!

I was excited to try this place; who doesn't like bang bang and gyozas? Unfortunately, the bang bang chicken was way overcooked and hard; the rice oh-so-boring, the sauce too much and not at all "bang". Other minor but annoying things: no salt and pepper available, nor utensils except for some very cheap flimsy chopsticks; and no cups or ice available for drinks. I'm not coming back for the gyoza.

I went to the Dunedin location yesterday with my boyfriend. Not sure if all the food is the same as the St Pete one but I couldn't find the other one on Yelp. Anyway, everything was really excellent. We got the vegan chicken rice bowl. They were out of the vegan crab cakes which was a bummer, but not a big deal. We also got the onion rings, two orders of "vegan ragoons" and an order of spring rolls. Everything had really phenomenal flavor, but I felt like the spring rolls were a bit of a miss. My only other small complaint is that the food didn't stay hot long. I'm sure that can be tough to do but the onion rings were kinda soggy pretty quickly. The flavor was there on everything, nonetheless. We will definitely be back to try the jackfruit bao buns and hopefully the fake crab cakes sometime soon!

We got some takeout one night after a show and got the gyoza, rangoons and crispy chicken bowl! We loved them all, personally I loved the gyoza and Rangoons the most but my fiancé loved the chicken as well! Just a bit too much spicy mayo for me personally but the chicken itself is delicious! Wish we would've gotten another order of gyoza it was our favorite we've had in a while! Wish we would've taken pics but very close to what they show on website! It was hot and fresh by the time we took it back. There is a parking lot right next to the truck so easy parking too!

my partner and I have been wanting to come here ever since we saw Ronicca on guys grocery games! we finally went to shiso crispy this past saturday night and i 100% understand the hype now. The food truck is easily recognizable and brightly painted with its bold teals and reds. there are picnic tables paired with colorful umbrellas and i saw a decent bit of people enjoying the outside seating. Despite having a line out behind us and NUMEROUS online orders we waited less than 15 minutes for our food! Ronicca mentioned to us that they try to do food "that has the consistency of mcdonald's without the shitty taste" and she lives up that and then some. We got the bang bang chicken (she says they use boneless chicken wing meat, the pieces were HUGE) paired with the dirty rice and it was so sweet, so savory and all over the best bang bang sauce i've had. We're already planning our next trip back down to pinellas to try everything else on the menu (:

This place was really good. Service was great and the things we ordered were tasty. Lack of seating and pretty dirty around the seating area but otherwise great spot and pretty conveniently located. The entree was filling enough for two people to share and the bao buns were super flavorful and had great texture.

Food was amazing. Had the bao buns. Very professional service. Good seating given it's a food truck. Overall, food is great. A must try!

Steven and Dylan were great! The service was great! The food was some of the best Asian food i have ever had! They have some really cute patio tables outside, and it's in a very convenient location.

They were super nice and the food was amazing! I highly recommend. If I could give 6 stars, I would. The outdoor food truck vibe was also fun and we met some great people with beautiful dogs.

My vegan son loved the vegan bang bang chicken and they had wonderful customer service! I did an online order and ran out of time trying to get there before a show we were seeing and they were kind enough to let me come after the show and made it fresh.
