The staff here is super friendly and nice! This was my first time dining at SHO and I ordered the omakase for lunch, and it was delicious. The only thing that did throw me was the beef nigiri in there -- not something I commonly see in an omakase, but it was not bad at all (this is not a sashimi style beef, it was a seared steak, where a slice was put on top of rice, nigiri-style. They also provide fresh wasabi (very potent), which is a great kick for your tastebuds. All the portions were decent pieces of fish, they definitely do not skimp! And for those concerned about the freshness of their fish--it is super fresh, firm, cold, and melts in your mouth. I am very particular about the quality of fish, all the items in the omakase was near the top--I even did the sniff test (haha) - no fishy smells.
I also tried their Yuzu Calpico -- I love Yuzu and I absolutely love this drink that I'm going to try to make it at home! It has the delicious flavors of yuzu, the carbonation from the club soda, and the mellowing sweetness of the Calpico.
This place is definitely on my places to visit next time I'm in town. I only wished I had found this place back when I lived in Oregon!
