Shoals was such a chill spot. I came here with my wife and we ordered a lot of small plates to eat. They actually had live music and the ambiance was chill. The food is really good. We were pleasantly surprised that it was Vegan. The food was very quick and our bartender was extremely prompt and helpful. We appreciate her service and left her a nice surprise as a thank you for working on Mother's Day and serving us.

Oh my goodness me the food here is awesome! This is definitely on my top three choices for vegan eateries in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Even if you are not vegan, you will love it. The only thing I sad about is that the plate did not refill itself with every bite. If you are going to do a pickup, double-team that effort so that one person can do a lap while you run inside. We all know parking is a challenge in Deep Ellum and especially if you have a large vehicle. But trust me, every bite will erase any parking shenanigans.

Had an amazing time at this restaurant! Came in for one of my best friends birthdays (we are both vegan) and the food was so so good, service was great. I’ll definitely be back to try more. We got the Shishito peppers, plantains, kale salad, I got the Cubano and my friend got the Arepa (not pictured), and lastly we got the shiitake ceviche and some drinks. Recommend giving this place a try if you’re in Deep Ellum!

From what I've read Shoals recently changed their menu. This does not mean the food is bad. I stopped in and ordered three empanadas and the cubano with potatoes. Everything was decent but I feel it was lacking in the flavor department. As far as vegan centric food goes it's definitely worth a stop but I'll wait a few months before I go back so they can work out the kinks with the new menu.

We loved dining at Shoals so much last night, we came back the next day for happy hour and smashed again! The space is so vibey and the music set the tone. Kay was refreshing and really contributed to our experience being so enjoyable. Our personal favorite item on the menu was the Chop Cheez! We’re also fans of the Shiitake Ceviche and Kale Salad! Yum! Do yourself and taste buds a favor and stop by Shoals!

We have been vegans for 7 months now and we drive all around DFW area to find good vegan options, Shoals is out favorite no doubt. The food is so fresh and flavorful. You can taste the freshness in each dish! Friendly staff and cool place!! Keep up the amazing work, Shoals!!!

My wife and I absolutely fell in love with this place. We started off with the shiitake ceviche and each of the savory empanadas. The ceviche was delicious, even if it is a bit of a stretch to call this a vegan variation on this classic dish; it was more of a pico de gallo. The curried chickpea empanada was my favorite, while my wife preferred the mushroom & lentil picadillo; the beyond wonton was decent, but nothing mind blowing like the other two. I ordered the Chopped Cheez sandwich and it was delicious; however, I was jealous of my wife’s BBQ Jaca Torta. The smoked jackfruit is such a delightfully complex and flavorful element; I can’t stop thinking about it, I can’t wait to come back and order any and every dish that has it in it. We finished with a strawberry empanada for dessert; a perfect end to a delicious and filling meal.

In our opinion, the best vegan restaurant in Dallas. All vegan menu, with familiar favorites growing up such as empanadas, arepas and Cubano torta. Parking is not easy to find since it's in Deep Ellum, but worth it. Will be back for sure.
