Great casual eatery if you can ignore the rude, female server.
Food: Ordered the lobster bisque as a side to accompany the jambalaya at 11:00pm at night after leaving the 13th Floor Love Bites February theme. As one of the few places open, we were not expecting access to a full menu, much less good quality food. Lobster bisque wasn't as thick or as anticipated, but the flavor was very rich. It lacked lobster bits or chunks, but I'd order it again due to the flavor alone. The jambalaya was very generous serving, heavy portion of meat on top, sauce was also very rich, rice was cold however. Once mixed with the hot meat and sauce, though, I was able to look past it. Split a bread pudding with my friend, mildly sweet, thick, and too much for one person alone, in my opinion. Definitely split, but not bad if you're looking for a slightly lower sweet profile. Balances well with the vanilla ice cream.
Service: Our server, who seated us and took our order, was a middle-aged blond woman. She did stop at our table occasionally, but it was hard to get a hold of her when needed despite this place being half empty near midnight. Overall, I didn't have any qualms until it was time to pay the bill and leave. My friend and me were quite tired, as we did not notice that the waitress had placed the black book on the table or had forgotten. As we waited for the bill, I eventually stood to start putting my jacket on to give a signal that we would like to go soon. She shortly came over and asked "What do I need to do here?". I said the bill would be great. She responded with, "You mean the book your phone is on top of?". My friend and I were apologized and laughed about how we were really tired. Instead of laughing with us, she decided to retort with "You two are very pretty" and promptly walked away. Given that specific line and tone, it was implied she thought we were stupid. My friend and I were left in shock and ultimately disgusted with her comment.
Disappointing that women have to pull each other down instead of lift each other up.
Atmosphere: Small, casual, has a space for a live band performance. A little too dark inside at midnight for my liking. Overall, a relaxed vibe I didn't mind minus the rude server.
