Shootz is sooo good. I usually get the katsu chicken sandwich and spam masubi. The portion is kinda big and the quality is consistent. One of the best places to eat at rodeo 39! The chicken sandwich is so crispy and the spam masubi has a crunch at the top which makes it so yummy.

We had lunch here the other day. There is a ton of parking available. You will find Shootz in the back right corner of Rodeo 39. It is a small and comfortable space. We started with two refreshers to drink. We got a mango green tea lemonade and a strawberry pineapple lemonade. Both were delicious and refreshing. We got an order of spam brulee musubi. The combinations of flavors was so good. Also, get some kimchi butter to dunk the musubi in. Next up was a katsu chicken sando. The chicken is basted in kimchi butter. It is topped with mac salad. It is so simple and yet so delicious. I also dunked the sando in kimchi butter. We also got a shrimp and katsu mix plate. We poured kimchi butter all over it. The shrimp were large and delicious. The katsu was crispy and flavorful. I loved that there was a good portion of rice and mac salad served with it. Comforting Hawaiian food and great service make this a place I cannot wait to come back to.

Spam musubi looks good on the menu. You open the box and it looks promising, but alas, complete disappointment. Trash. Hardly any flavor. I thought there was going to be a bit of spice with the kimchi aioli but it was just like eating plain rice. When we reached the end of our bite, we realized there was no spam. Flip it over and there it is. Nothing but white rice that doesn't even taste very fresh. A complete rip off, especially since these spam musubis are actually already cut in half.

Great take on spam musubi. Katsu is very good. Macaroni salad is good, but not authentic tasting. It was good, but I mean, it tasted like Italian alfredo sauce mixed with mayonnaise.

The food here tastes amazing. The spicy kimchi butter is a must try with any dish here. The katsu chicken sando is my personal favorite.

Soooooo so good. One of my new favorite places. The Mac is good, the Chicken Katsu (some of the best I've had) is good and their refreshers are good. Also staff is very friendly and kind. Its all the way in the back of this market establishment but well well worth it 10/10 you won't be disappointed with anything on their menu. My personal favorite is their spicy chicken sandwhich

Forget In and Out or Chick Fil a. This is the best checken sandwich I ever had, take the spicy version with the souce on the side. I wish it would be just little larger but the amount is good. Service is great too just got another sample to try

Got a regular chicken katsu sando (ab 10$) and a spicy katsu plate (13$)! Both were delicious 💕 I have a low spice tolerance, and the sando had a slight tang from their kimchi butter and marinade,but it was so good I pushed through and finished it!! And my bf loved the plate, which came with a sode of rice and macaroni salad that evenly balanced the katsu!!! Wish I took pics of our food, but def eating here again 🫶🏽

I've been here a handful of times and somehow can't find one single picture of my food, I guess that's how delicious it is because I literally golf it down before I even think to take a photo. I've been wanting to write a solid, quality review for this place for a while now because I genuinely can't say enough good things. I especially love ordering through the mobile app on my way there and being able to just run to the back of Rodeo 39 and grab my order. It makes everything so quick and convenient. Their point system is great, and the birthday rewards are actually worth it. I love saving up my points and then using them to get a nice discount on a combo, it feels like a little win every time. As for the food... so good. I really enjoy the shrimp, I love the katsu chicken, and that crème brûlée spam musubi? Absolutely dangerous in the best way. This place is definitely a guilty pleasure for me. I recently moved to Westminster and being so much closer to this location now makes me ridiculously happy. This spot is a go to for me and will continue to be. Five out of five stars all day long.

I came here with my friend during lunch hour and it was the perfect place on a Tuesday. I got myself the spicy chicken katsu Sando. It was perfectly spiced for my palette and surprisingly the macaroni salad inside was pretty good with the katsu chicken! The vibe is very beach themed but pretty loud. It's perfect for a small group or less of 4 and under. The cashier was super down to earth and helpful with suggestions. I definitely recommend coming here and will be coming back to try their other options.

My best friend and I have been wanting to try this place for a while! It's located in the Rodeo 39 Market! The katsu sandwiches were delicious and the chicken was pretty thick! The macaroni salad in the sandwich really added to the flavor too. The spam brulee musubi was pretty good as well, but the sandwich was absolutely the main star. The service was pretty quick and the staff were very upbeat and sweet. I really enjoyed the vibe! I will definitely also be going to try the location in Long Beach.

One of my favorite stops when I'm at rodeo 39 but I rarely get it since there's so busy with the I like orders that there's no one ever there to take in person orders.

Kimchi butter chicken katsu plate was delicious. It is chicken katsu topped with a kimchi butter. The kimchi butter can be spicy or spicier as requested. I liked the crunch of the katsu & the sweet - spicy sauce. The rice topped with furukake & green onions completed the dish. I ordered the plate so it also came with chicken macaroni salad & the Spam Brulee Musubi. Definitely good for 2! Service is friendly & since it was slow, I was offered free refill on the mango lemonade. This is one of the vendors in an upscale food court so ambience is very casual. It also allowed us to choose from other food vendors. Definitely a place to return & try other foods!

I've never had a chicken sandwich like the one at Shootz! Their Spam Musubi is just as delicious. I didn't know what I was walking into when I got there, but boy was it a great surprise! Located in the back right corner of Rodeo 39 was Shootz. The restaurant is bright and vibrant. The service was extremely friendly! We chose a high top table to sit at and it was actually very comfortable! Here's what we ordered: Mango Green Tea Lemonade - This was actually not too sour and not too sweet, it was a perfect balance. Strawberry Pineapple Lemonade - This was amazing. Another refreshing drink! Spam Brulee Musubi - Okay, I never thought caramelizing sugar onto a musubi would work. Boy was I proven very wrong. It was amazing! Then you get that kimchi butter. *chef's kiss* Katsu Chicken Sando - Basting the chicken in kimchi butter after it's been perfectly fried, then adding a mac salad on top. It doesn't seem like it would be much, but boy was it bursting with flavor! Shrimp and Katsu Mix Plate - Oh....oh was this great. The shrimp were large and perfectly fried, and the katsu was also a great portion. Perfect crisp, and then you get rice and mac salad. The kimchi butter enhances the dish even further! If you want Hawaiian food, but different (in a good way of course), you can't go wrong here! Give it a go!

i adore shootz. i love their kimchi butter shrimp and mac salad. i have returned multiple times to rodeo 39 purely for this. i always place for pickup and sometimes there's a wait but it's away worth it

I've been wanting to try Shootz for so long and I'm so glad I finally did because it was so good! It's Hawaiian comfort food with a little twist, and everything we ordered was really flavorful. It's located inside Rodeo 39 and it was definitely busy, but the line moved faster than it looked. We ordered a few different things and honestly loved everything. We got the kimchi butter katsu chicken and the hot kimchi butter katsu chicken sandwich, which was my favorite. The kimchi butter is saucy and packed with flavor. We also tried the spam brulee musubi and it was really good. We got the mango green tea lemonade and it was fire. I've been craving it ever since!The food tastes just as good as it looks, and everything came out looking amazing. The service was great and the cashier was really nice. There's plenty of seating inside Rodeo 39. Parking was a little tough since it was busy, but overall we had a great experience :)

I've been here several times and have always had a good experience. The restaurant is located inside rodeo 39 and parking was easy to find on a weekday. It's tucked away towards the back corner. We ordered at the register and were able to find seating right away. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the food came out but was disappointed of how cold the food was.

Shootz is usually my go to food court spot when I'm at Rodeo39! I ordered the spam brulee musubi and it's so delicious. It is on the sweeter side because of the brulee but the whole combo in one bite is so delicious. The 4 pieces filled me up! The workers there are super nice and get the food out fairly quick. There's plenty of seating inside or outside, but I recommend the outside patio, super cozy with nice ambiance!

[Ordering]: I ordered at the cashier counter and I waited about 5 minutes before receiving my order. [Menu]: The two most popular items are Kimchi Butter Chicken Katsu and our Spam Brûlée Musubi. Bundles include fountain drink, but I ordered a la carte instead (saved few bucks and skipped fountain drink). *** Katsu Chicken Sando (signature and crisp Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken served on a moist toasted Hawaiian bun. Topped with creamy Kimchi Aioli, signature Macaroni Salad, and brûlée'd brown sugar - $9.69): This chicken sandwich was quite a disappointment. The flavors work so well together. Get some kimchi butter to dunk the musubi in. Then we tried the katsu chicken sando. The chicken is basted in kimchi butter and topped with Mac salad. So simple and very comforting. We also got a shrimp and katsu mix plate. The shrimp were large and crispy. The katsu was perfectly fried. Both were delicious. There was a really good potion of rice and Mac salad served with it. We also poured an entire cup of kimchi butter over everything. Such great food and really friendly service will make this a place we come back to again for Hawaiian comfort food.

one of the BEST meals we had in anaheim! the brulee'd spam musubi was a nice twist and so tasty! the shrimp and katsu were cooked to perfection, with a side of creamy mac salad. service was good and our food came out quickly. plenty of seating options both inside and outside, a nice open-concept cafeteria kind of place!

Ordered a shrimp/chicken combo and it was really good. Extremely juicy, crispy and flavorful. As someone who doesn't like mayo, the mac salad was really good and I genuinely enjoyed it a lot. I liked the chicken more than the shrimp and would probably just get chicken next time. Wish it came with a bit more rice in the serving but overall a great dish. Personally didn't care for the spam musubi! Felt like the brulee aspect overpowered the spam and it was too rice heavy. Kayla was the cashier and was super nice! 5/5 service and 4.5/5 for the food.

Pretty pricey but so well worth it. There are multiple locations for this place and I've been to 2. One in San Juan Capistrano and the other here. Both are consistent with quality and flavor. The spicy kimchi butter chicken katsu plate and the spicy kimchi butter shrimp had me drooooooling. Also can never go wrong with the spam musubi here. Ask for extra kimchi butter on the side and thank me later. I will say the Mac salad was a tad bland but everything else is amazing so it doesn't bother me that much. Service was as expected and ambiance was cool! Both locations are in these little food hall type buildings. Really great place to hang out and explore with friends/ family.

Kimchi butter Katsu!! Wow. Such good flavor and the panko crust is so nice and crispy. I always sub the mac salad for more rice and split my portion into two meals. Definitely download the app. They always have discounts!

Been coming to shootz since they first showed up in Rodeo 39 and was tucked away in the corner of the building, was a lot smaller back then but that's when I fell in love with the kimchi butter katsu. The kimchi butter katsu flavor is one that I've never been able to find anywhere else. It's fresh, delicious, and full of packed flavor in your mouth. Katsu has always been fresh and crunchy. And is best eaten freshly made. Restaurant is a lot bigger now with plenty of tables to sit at. If you're thinking about trying it out, don't think, just go! I've been coming every time I'm in town because I just can't get enough

My experience at Shootz was amazing ! Danny N took my order and he was so sweet and patient with me. He recommended the strawberry pineapple lemonade when I couldn't decide what to drink, and let me tell ya! It did not disappoint! The kimchi butter shrimp plate, the katsu chicken sando, and the musubis were alllllll 11/10, every bite was mouth watering and delicious. 100% recommend to food lovers!!! Can't wait to try even more options in the future :)

Decided to try this place with my dad and I'm so glad we did! It's inside Rodeo 39 like all the way in the back. Service was quick too. We got a #2 combo which had 2 sandwiches and 2 musubis. It also came with a fountain drink. The spicy chicken sandwich was so good. You can really taste that kimchi butter flavor too. Musubi was to die for! Honestly I'd come back here.

Wow!! So good! Run here and try everything! I had the kimchi butter shrimp plate. The flavors were so good! It was also surprisingly filling but I kept going for more because it was that delicious. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich. He couldn't stop talking about how good it was. We shared the mac salad and it was unique and flavorful! Love the tuna and egg mix. Employees were helpful and the seating is kind of like a food court. The tables were all super clean. It is located in rodeo 39 and there are designated spots if you are running in to pick up your food.

Food was delicious. Our group got a couple plates and combos. I got the katsu and shrimp with matsubi. The matsubi was ok. Instead of putting the sauce on top, they should put it in the middle. I thought the chicken was good until I took a bite of the chicken sandwich. That was 10/10 so juicy. I would go back for the sandwich. The staff were friendly, so that was a plus.

Yall it's so good! We passed by here once looking for a cute brunch spot and this looked to My but we didn't stop the first time. The 2nd time we came here and wanted something light. We got the #3 combo with the Shrimp, Musubi, and asked to sub the rice for Mac Salad. It's SOOO GOOOD! The spice level, the batter on the shrimp, the flavor of the musubi. Tried shoots for the first time and I was blown away! I crave it everyday now I love Hawaiian food but I've never had anything like kimchi butter before it was sooo yummy. The amount of food is fair, service is fast, and the food is definitely high quality.

I ordered this through DoorDash so this review is strictly on the food. That being said, I had been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm so glad I did! I ordered the mixed plate with chicken and shrimp. They have an option for spicy but I got regular. This was honestly the best chicken Katsu that I have had! The shrimp was actually my favorite, it was crispy and balanced well with the sauce. The sauce they use on the chicken and shrimp are packed with flavor, absolutely delicious! The macaroni salad is not your average macaroni salad. It had great flavor and it tasted like it had a bit of tuna mixed in which was a nice surprise. I will definitely be stopping by to check this place out in person, especially now that I know it is certifiably amazing!

The Katsu Chicken Sando is solid. It's got great texture with crispy chicken and soft bread, plus the mac salad adds a creamy bite. There's a bit too much mayo for my taste, and it's definitely a messy sandwich, but still satisfying overall. The Kimchi Butter Shrimp and Kimchi Butter Chicken both hit nicely. You get that rich, buttery flavor with just a hint of funk from the kimchi, but nothing too overpowering. Spam Brulee Musubi is a cool twist on a classic and surprisingly balanced. All the lemonades are worth trying. The Mango Green Tea Lemonade is the sweetest of the bunch, the Mint Peach Limeade is light and refreshing, and the Strawberry Pineapple Lemonade has a nice tart finish. The cashier was super helpful in helping us pick out what to order and let us try the different drinks before we decided. They did forget the spam musubi but made one for me as soon as I mentioned it. The place is pretty clean and has its own outdoor area if that's your vibe. Overall, if you're into saucy, punchy food with a unique kick, this place delivers.

I wish I found this place sooner. The staff is wonderful. Very helpful when I was having trouble deciding on was to have. It is inside the Rodeo 39 that is very nice. Very good food too! I ordered the shrimp and chicken combo and was very pleased with the food. The kimchi butter made everything so good. I will definitely be going back. I'm so glad I found this place.

The cashier today 12/22/25 at around 1:45-2:00 was extremely low energy and on top of that, they didn't have the chicken katsu that I was originally there for. When I had arrived at the cashier she was reading a book and to simply put it, it felt like she didn't want to take care of me. I had ordered a shrimp plate #3 and had asked for the pink lemonade, and she says that it's actually pineapple something which is what it is. The atmosphere is definitely not welcoming at all considering that i have been here numerous times in the past. The food is good, but the service was terrible today. This is one of the places where I want to go to have a good experience and vibe but today was just not it.

Located inside the Rodeo 39 Public Market, Shootz serves up Hawaiian-inspired eats. They're located near the end of the market and do have tables at their location or you can choose outdoor seating. Their menu is pretty straight forward with not too much but just enough for you to pick something. I ended up getting one of their combos with Katsu, Shrimp and Musubi. Unfortunately, the food was starting to taste salty after a number of bites. The katsu was coated in a good amount of breading, but like I said it was starting to taste salty. Same with the shrimp. The musubi didn't have much or any sauce at all. Just drizzled on top. The mac salad was creamy and a bit bland. I really wanted to like this place but my palate was just not happy. On a brighter note, their drinks, I think it was their flavored lemonade- was really refreshing though! They do get really busy so I suggest ordering online if you plan on giving them a try or after you order, just walk around the market.

The food was great but the service was garbage, my cashier had a horrible attitude and energy, it seemed like she didn't want to be there or take my order, unfortunately that can overshadow even the best food in a customer's mind.

First time hitting up the Rodeo 39 food court. So many good food choices here but opted for Shootz since it's one of the more unique food options here and the food looked good in the pictures. Ordering was simple enough...just use their app to order online. When the food is ready just pick it up at the food pick up window. With no expectations, was pleasantly surprised that the food was really good. The sauce they put on the rice gives it a really good flavor. Would definitely give this place a try if you're standing around the food court undecided on what to try.

The flavor of the Kimchi Butter Katsu was fantastic! The texture wasn't as crispy as some spots that specialize in katsu, but it was still a very enjoyable dish. Spam Brulee Musubi: The wife and I had a lot of musubis everywhere and we both agreed that that this spam musubi had the best flavor. We loved the brulee texture along with the slight sweetness. I thought the mac salad was good but it was on the heavy side. While I did enjoy this, I could not eat too much of it. Drink: Mango Green Tea Lemonade was delicious! It was just the perfect amount of sweet.

This place was the go to, now they serve 2 day old rice and soggy chicken. Service is good, polite, but that's about it.

Yooooo! Their katsu chicken sandwiches are fiiiiirrrreee!!! Love the kimchi butter sauce on it. And the mac salad that goes with it on a buttery roll. It's also a good deal with two sandwiches, 2 musubis, and a drink for 20 something bucks. That's a steal nowadays with prices going up for just about everything. They also serve soju drinks so it's nice to top it all of with a cocktail. This spot is definitely worth going to in the trendy food court that is Rodeo 39.

We had such a great time at Shootz! Amazing food, service and location. We spent a Friday afternoon on the patio enjoying mouth watering ono Hawaiian food. We loved the musubi, katsu and shrimp. All washed down with the soju flight. Danny, thank you for taking care of us and kick starting our weekend!

Great food!! It is inside the Rodeo 39 Public Market. It has an upbeat atmosphere with heavy bass music playing throughout. They have a cute little patio at the back to sit outside. The service was perfect!! They were quick and friendly. It gets busy so much sure you have a few minutes to wait or order ahead. We had the meal that came with spam brûlée musubi, kimochi butter shrimp, and a drink. We asked to substitute the rice for mac salad and the drink for the mint peach limeade. The food was so good; fresh and flavorful. The shrimp was crisp and yummy. The mac salad was tasty to with tuna and noodles cooked perfectly. The drink was good but had a little fermented flavor. Not bad but just a warning. Would definitely come back to this place.

The chicken katsu and kimchi aioli are SO GOOD!!! I could eat it everyday if I had the chance. The mac salad was good but needed salt in my opinion. I didn't care for the musubi but again, just my preference. Definitely check this place out!

My friend showed me this spot in Rodeo 39 and it's now my favorite Hawaiian food in Cali. I got the regular kimchi butter shrimp and katsu mix plate. It was so worth the $20, y'all should be charging $30 for this! (jk). I like to judge a good plate by if you can eat the shell off the shrimp, and you can. The katsu chicken was so good, Idk how to describe it, but I had no idea katsu can taste better than what it already is. The macaroni was so good too! This ain't your regular Hawaiian plate you'd get at an Ono's, this is like top tier food truck quality food right here. I've only heard about Shootz from SoCal locals and Hawaiian natives who are comparing Shootz to Hawaiian food from back home. That ambiance was great, there's hella seats in the food hall and the outdoor seating in the plaza was really nice.

Ordered the food online and the food was prepared in a timely manner. Service was great and they have lots of available seating for you to choose from. Located inside Rodeo 39 and the place has a modern look. Kimchi Buttered Katsu 4/5 flavors were really yummy! Seasoned perfectly and the outside coating had a nice crisp. Only downside is the chicken pieces are very very thin. You can see how small it is in the picture. If they provided bigger pieces I would rate the place 5/5

They totally started off my month with good karma after having such a hard October First time ever coming and they gave me my first meal ever here for free I've heard nothing but good things about the food and that made my food taste even better Vibes food and service are a 10/10 Food was RIDICULOUSLY GOOD‍

After bookmarking their Yelp page two years ago, I finally tried Shootz, a Hawaiian-Asian joint located inside Rodeo 39. Don't ask me why I didn't stop by sooner - I honestly have no excuse as to why it took me such an absurd amount of time to make the trip. Lol. Better late than never, I suppose. Anyways, I ordered the Hot Kimchi Butter Chicken Katsu sandwich. The fried chicken cutlet was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and it had a nice little zing of kimchi flavor (though I do wish the flavor had been more prominent). That being said, the kimchi-flavored chicken katsu paired well with the creamy mac salad and toasted bun. All in all, it was a pretty unique katsu sandwich, and it certainly left me satisfied. ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. Average. Might return if others drag me. 4 Stars: Yum! Likely to return. 5 Stars: Amazing! Would plan my day around it.
