Very cool store featuring work by local makers- Came in for some DC souvenirs but wanted something a little more authentic and not your regular mass produced souvenir. Bought a few lovely magnets and a postcard, all designed and crafted with care. Would definitely recommend a visit if you’re in NoMa.

Title: A Hidden Gem: Shop Made in DC and the Exceptional Meredith I recently had the pleasure of visiting Shop Made in DC at 325 Morse st NE and I can’t stop raving about it! This charming boutique is a true gem in the heart of the nation’s capital, offering a delightful array of locally crafted treasures that celebrate the creativity and talent of DC artisans. From unique home decor pieces to handcrafted jewelry and artisanal food items, Shop Made in DC has something for everyone. But what truly sets this place apart is the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by its owner, Meredith. Meredith’s passion for supporting local artisans is evident in every aspect of the store. She goes above and beyond to curate a diverse selection of high-quality products, ensuring that each item tells a story and reflects the rich cultural tapestry of DC. During my visit, Meredith was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, offering insights into the craftsmanship behind each piece and sharing fascinating stories about the artists behind them. Her genuine enthusiasm and dedication to her craft made the shopping experience truly memorable. Not only does Shop Made in DC offer a fantastic selection of products, but it also serves as a hub for the local creative community, hosting events and workshops that foster collaboration and innovation. Whether you’re a DC local or just visiting the area, I highly recommend stopping by Shop Made in DC. It’s more than just a store – it’s a celebration of local talent, creativity, and community spirit, thanks in no small part to the exceptional Meredith.

I came here for a free crafting event with my daughter. While setting up I walked around the store and it was really nice. As far as the event it was just me and my daughter who showed up and it was marketed on event bright Very limited resources really just scraps like you would put on the table for kindergarteners. We bought our own canvas but we couldn’t use it or paint because the materials that was marketed was not there so we really was just scrap drawing…..but either way they were pleasant and I enjoyed myself…. But they do have great marketing and great advances of promoting your business.

They had lots of great locally made art, and household decor. We went to search for a unique souvenir for our trip to DC and we found plenty of options to choose from. Plus - they were doing a liquor tasting with a local distillery so that's awesome!

Selling products from local makers, Shop Made In DC has locations throughout the city. This particular location is one of their biggest. Located across the street from El Presidente near Union Market, they have one large room filled with jewelry, coffee, liquor, cards, and more. There’s a small back room with products for dogs and pets.

Yelp
Visited due to attending a candle making class that was being held in the space. Had a chance to walk around the store and look at all the locally made products. There was a great selection, literally something for everyone. The store staff was great, very helpful and welcoming. I made a purchase and they made casual small talk and said they looked forward to my next visit. I will be back.

Yelp
One of (if not my favorite) place to buy thoughtful gifts. The quality of these items (food items, plants, home products, art, candles) is incredible and I love the signage that really personalized the creators so you can know more about their story and their connection to the DC area. It's a dangerously store to walk into because I always find some splurge item that I justify buying because it's locally made (I even found natural deodorant there the other day, which I never would have expected). Just when I thought I couldn't love them any more, I came across an outdoor market they had one weekend which hosted local vendors. I support this business and all the businesses they promote wholeheartedly! My only complaint/suggestion...let's get a store east of the river please!
