I like the unique prints and post cards but I wish I had got a copy of my receipt. There is this “support local business” pink sticker labeled at $3 in my bag which I know I didn’t pick. Four post cards and a sticker came up to $20ish seems about right anyways! Friendly services and clean store!

We stumbled across this cute little shop during a date night in Georgetown, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our evening. I love supporting local artists and finding unique handmade gifts so discovering a store dedicated entire to DC makers was such a happy surprise. DC holds a special place in our hearts, so we had a great time browsing the DC-themed items and reminiscing as we looked around. The shop also offers craft classes, which is such a fun touch! We didn't get to explore them because it was close to closing time, but we definitely want to come back and check them out. Since we were short on time, we didn't get to see everything, but we still walked out with several times that reminded us of the cit we love. A charming spot with meaningful finds--we will definitely be back! :)

Not "Made" in DC. This chain of shops supporting small DC-based business owners has some really nice stuff in it, from art, prints, cards, to clothing and accessories. They market themselves as "made in DC," being products "from DC's best makers" and "the first store dedicated to only Made in DC products" - but they are really not. I bought a few items in here - shirts, hats, etc, and whilst the companies behind them may be small DC-based businesses the items themselves are made in China, Nicaragua, Haiti, Bangladesh, and the Philippines. This is disappointing - there are surely DC-based producers who can actually make this stuff. You pay a slightly higher price for things which are locally produced on the understanding that it's not made using cheap workers overseas, so it's a shame to pay $30 for a t-shirt that probably cost less than $1 to make in Bangladesh only be shipped over, have a "Made in DC!" label stuck on it and then sold for a much higher price. I can't help but think if this store was based in Europe it would be forced to change its name to "DC inspired" or suchlike - because "made" in DC it is not.

We had an amazing experience screen printing with Beth! She was an awesome instructor and artist and was a pleasure to work with. We went as a team building event for my 8 person team and had a fabulous time making prints and learning about the process with Beth. It was a fun and inexpensive way to spend the afternoon with coworkers. 10/10 would recommend!

If you want cute postcards, this is the place to go! They also offer other nice souvenirs like mugs, jewelry, soaps… 💌

Shop Made in DC is a collection of stores across Washington, D.C. selling products from artisans and business owners from across the DMV. There are four locations (Dupont Circle, District Wharf, Mt. Vernon and this location in Georgetown). Each shop is set up in one room with stands of all types of products. They sell posters, greeting cards, clothes, jewelry, baby toys, chocolate, coffee, really anything. Each stand has cards telling the story of the DC artisan that created the products. It's a great spot to buy goods (and DC souvenirs) that give back to the local economy. The shops also host a number of classes from painting to block printing.

Very cute store in Georgetown. So many choices for souvenirs and postcards. Also great customer service as I lost one postcard after leaving the store and came back to check if I forgot it at the store. They very nicely replace it for me. Very much appreciated. Thanks again!

Service: Friendly staff. I asked about some prices and the staff member seemed a bit unsure. Value: Despite the small size of the show, they had a good variety of locally-made items, which included candles and scents, household items like aprons and napkins, seeds and potters, shirts, and other small knick knacks. For local wares, the prices were not unreasonable. A box of 4 chocolates was $5 and a kitchen towel was $10.

It's always great to support local and small businesses. I'm all for it! This place had nice things but I got to say....it's pricy! I think it definitely caters to a different demographic with the price points that they have laid out, are not on the reasonable side. It's a very clean and organized store though.

I took a gel printing class with Clare Winslow. It was fun, she took time to explain, but also let us get on with printing. Lots of techniques learned. I had about 12 prints at the end. Loved it!

such a cute store!!! its a bit pricey but i bought a few things. i love supporting small businesses and this place has many of them under one roof. friendly staff and great selection of items. i got a candle for my sister, a tee shirt for my nephew, a tee shirt for me, soap bar for my mom, and cookies for my dad.

I had been searching for ways to support local DC artists and businesses for a while, so when I stumbled upon Shop Made in DC's Dupont location in 2020, I was overjoyed! Discovering that there was a Georgetown location even closer to home brought me even more joy...it's a wonderful place to shop for gifts while giving back to the local community, as well as a delightful place to just browse for artistic, culinary, and interior decor inspiration. Every single creator who partners with Shop Made in DC is so unbelievably talented. I also visited the Georgetown location for a company watercolor paint and sip, and I absolutely loved it! The watercolor instructor was remarkably kind and patient, and she had a wonderful teaching style. She was relaxed, yet knew how to challenge us (even if only slightly, since it was a one-time class) in our art. I was also sitting relatively close to her, so she was able to give me a few extra pointers, which I really appreciated. Their only large seating area for a company event like that was outdoors, which was admittedly a bit brutal in the middle of June, especially since their umbrellas weren't able to cover the entire table. Even so, the staff did a great job of checking in, being hospitable and welcoming, and always ensuring that our every need was looked after.

This is super cute little shop, but I won't be buying anymore food items here. I purchased the brownie batter date spread today and was excited to try it. Unfortunately, there's mold growing in it. I guess someone must have opened it prior to me purchasing it, they should probably add seals to these jars.

I first went to this shop a few years ago when it was by the Dupont South Metro stop. The selection of goods made in DC is excellent. I have bought tee shirts, wall hangings, cards, and jewelry here. I love the selection. Let's support our local businesses and buy as much as we can from them! My Christmas list is already set for this year and "Made in DC" will be my first stop! Keep up the good work, guys.

Love this place. There are few things I like more than to support small local businesses, and this shop makes that all that much easier. Tons of food items, cocktail mixers, candles, artwork, jewelry, makeup, etc to keep you browsing for awhile. Great for gifts. I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the Georgetown area!
