Experience:
I always have positive experience for dining at Shangri La. However, my experience today was rather disappointing and shocked when I discovered the apple pie was mouldy when I was about to consume earlier this evening.
I purchased some items from Shophouse this afternoon between 2.30pm to 3pm. The lady was polite and did asked if I need a receipt and I declined receipt request trusting I will not have any issues...(not my day as I have no concrete evidence to show).
What could have been done better:
While I understand that effort has been made to place a sign to inform customers that items are to be consumed within 24hrs, I have a small recommendation to the management team or person in charge. It will be helpful if label of best consumed by date and timing information is available on items that are not freshly baked within the day. It really help to prep consumers and avoid unpleasant surprises or experiences that might impact on the hotel reputation and service standard.
Taste:
The milk bread did not taste as soft as previously purchase. It did not give me a feeling that the bread was freshly baked daily. 😐
Other recommendations for consumers:
If need to patronize, recommend to double check on the items if they are mouldy or check with the sales person on when the items are baked and how does the best consume within 24hrs applies.
