Yelp
I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars for this place but am opting for 4 because of the food quality and of course, the terrific views.
We are here 3 times (including once for room service) For breakfast he had the Cajun omelet with Andouille , cheese, onions, I stuck to my basic mimosa and croissant. We both enjoyed it. Another time he had the Cajun skillet, Andouille sausage with onions and peppers and scrambled eggs over top. He enjoyed it as well.
The one time we came for lunch I had a white wine, him a tea. He opted for the mahi tacos. Two well stuffed tacos with housemade pico de gallo and proclaimed it delicious after consuming it in 3 mins flat. I had the blackened mahi sandwich, served on a brioche roll, with remoulade sauce and fries on the side. It was very good and the fish was perfectly cooked.
Now the service here is an issue. When we came for breakfast we waited at the door for a good 7 minutes, saying hello to waitresses who breezed by until an uber pregnant hostess finally came over to seat us. Another 10 mins and the waitress finally comes by and takes our order. Once ordered the food came out in a timely manner so it was definitely a front of the house issue, not the kitchen.
When we came for lunch we were seated promptly but again took our server some time to come over and take our drink order, which has us shaking our heads again. Again, the food came out in a timely manner , and the server was very cordial, talkative but not intrusive and did his job well.
The room service came quickly, the food was hot, and the champagne was cold.
I did enjoy the food here, and really when you're in paradise it takes a really difficult person to complain a lot, so I'd return and am opting for the 4 star rating without a twinge of guilt.
