Great little coffee shop right next to the water. Friendly staff and tasty pastries. They also have delicious gelato which is perfect to eat on the hot days of summer, mixed with the nice ocean breeze. The manager, Megan, is so bubbly and accommodating every time I go there. And I like how she treats every customer like they are a friend and not an annoyance. It's always a pleasant experience at the waterfront center.

We thought we would enjoy getting coffee and pastry here, but the single server behind the counter seemed to show no interest in serving customers. We won't be back! Nice views, though!

This has some pretty good coffee. It is a beautiful place to chill and have coffee. The only probalem is that they close around 4 so no late night coffee here. Other than that pretty nice place. The sunsets here are goregeous. This is a nice place to enjoy some time by the beach.

Shorepine's baristas have consistently been very kind, courteous, and helpful. Their food and coffee, however, has always been mediocre at best. Cups are often dirty, coffee comes out cold and food is carelessly prepared. Management appears, and feels rather inappropriate, and there's not much effort to provide a professional, and quality workplace for their employees or customers.

I think the service is much better when you go inside the cafe, but I almost always have my dog when I'm at the waterfront, so I use the window. I get the distinct impression the baristas don't like using the window, and it shows in the level of service. Good coffee and pastries, though.

Clean and neat. Great coffee and nice people. Kids play area is a plus for parents. 👍

Yum! Great gelato, especially the hazelnut and you can’t beat the location on a warm spring afternoon

What's not to like? Friendly service, good selection, right on the beach. Beautiful new building with lots of room.

Yelp
We made a quick stop to get coffee on our way to North Seattle. Friendly service but wait line can be long. Located inside of Edmond community building which has a modern look and feel. Limited seatings and restrooms are clean. Got regular macchiato and cortado with oatmilk. Not the best best coffees but they had a nice bold flavor.

Yelp
This coffee and gelato shop is a great find. The building is modern, clean, and spacious. The location is amazing -- right on a small sandy beach not far from the ferry dock with plenty of benches outside and a wonderful view. We just had a mocha and an Americano, but both passed the taste test with our picky pallets. We didn't try the sweets or the gelato, but it looked good! Service was fast and with a smile. Prices are more reasonable than most. (People, if you're going to leave your dog outside, please make sure he's not a barker. Poor lonely pup yipped for almost 30 mins - despite my and others attempts to comfort him, while the family enjoyed a peaceful time, sans barking pup, inside. Not the cafe's fault.) Ttwo thumbs up! We'll be baaaack!

Yelp
We stopped by here for ice cream after our ferry ride. We wanted to see the flavors of ice cream choices so we went inside. There were eight ice creams, but only three were labeled. We waited about 10 or 15 minutes to order while three people were served at the outdoor window. The staff was super nice and super helpful but not very organized so it really slowed things down. The building is modern, spacious, and gorgeous. The food is beautiful and I can vouch for the ice cream being delicious. This spot just needs to work on its service.

Yelp
To the Shore Pine Coffee management: We will never return and give our money to this business, due to the appalling customer service received on 7/25 around 3:30 pm by the blonde "barista" with glasses. That "barista" purposely ignored your customers inside the Waterfront building for several minutes, while very clearly doing nothing. And when I say doing nothing, I mean absolutely nothing---not cleaning up, not restocking, not making drinks, not counting the till--I mean doing NOTHING besides standing there talking to the other barista who was actually doing her job making drinks. She did manage to make eye contact and continued doing nothing...eventually she did come over to us while we were looking at the sandwiches. Instead of greeting or welcoming us (god forbid she drop a hello to waiting customers) the "barista" very condescendingly and with open hostility opened with "ACTUALLY-- we don't allow dogs in here.....unless THAT'S a service dog." And then glared at us. I replied to her there was no menu outside to see the food, she insisted there was. There was no food menu outside and I would still personally like to see the food before ordering, so I wasn't sure how else to order. Plus, many Edmonds folks will know Shore Pine often runs out of sandwiches and pastries, rendering their menu outdated. Please note: our 10lb dog was being held the entire time, she was never running loose, damaging property or disrupting the peace (as so many obnoxious children often do inside the waterfront center). The "barista" rudely said, "You can go out to the window then" and crossed her arms. We left immediately and will not be going back. There's absolutely a courteous and respectful way to inform paying customers of policies--this woman doesn't know how to do that. Unclear exactly what her problem is--Would she have been as comfortable being bluntly rude and dismissive if I was white? Who knows. Either way, we didn't appreciate her unprofessional hostility. Especially when we've ordered indoors at Shore Pine with our dog being held MANY times. Our experience in Edmonds is that we can quickly place our to-go order inside, as long as the dog is held the entire time. If this is not the case at Shore Pine/Waterfront center, please say so immediately instead of inconsiderately wasting potential customer's time. On our way out, there was a line of people, which obscured the sandwich board menu for any one wanting to view it. Get that woman with glasses some customer service training or else she will be the extremely unprofessional reason many more customers don't bother returning to Shore Pine. Manners and kindness cost nothing. There's zero reason to be such an absolute wench to customers. Sincerely, A Customer Retention Trainer for a Fortune 500 company

Yelp
Small, but have everything I need! Great view, great gelato and coffee, and great staff! It was unfortunate for me that the building had a private event so that I could not eat inside and it was raining that day.

Yelp
This works EXTREMELY well if you're already down on the "beach," or on the " docks". It's quick. Good. And super convenient. The Service is friendly. The coffee and pastries is good. The gelato is great. The pricing is fair. The beach is obviously the destination. PS is a reason to not leave it ALL DAY In the summer this place is a no-brainer. It even offers a feet washing water station right outside its doors.

Yelp
Stopped by for coffee this morning with my family. Always liked coffee and pasties but one of the main reasons we always went was they had a small corner for my kids to play, sit and read, which is now gone. Ended up leaving since it was getting busy and no was area for my kids to play.

Yelp
Coffee, good coffee. Not the "rushed, get out of my face," coffee. Staff here are friendly and they make their our shore pine syrup for the shore pine latte in house. They love to make small talk to get to know their customers while brewing up a warm (or cold drink). Did I mention friendly?

Jboogie L.

Yelp
water down matcha latte. we just wanted to warm up after walking along the shoreline. nice banquet hall and clean bathrooms!

Shannon G.

Yelp
Used to love Pine Shore. The newer staff is not friendly at all. Don't even say hello or smile half the time. They also just removed the kids area and toys. Not going to get coffee or food there if my kids don't have an area to play.

Yelp
Friend's wife decided to get a hot chocolate after our crabbing trip and it was a very cold day. The hot chocolate turned out to be barely warm, which was disappointing, and she was not happy with it. But they did remake it for her after she complained which was good.

Jeremy C.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in for a latte. It is a sin in the Superbad of Seattle to make a lousy cup of coffee. Well they managed. Basically a tasteless cup of milk. The atmosphere is pleasant and very clean. The staff are friendly and ready to help. I hope they improve there coffee making. We really like the atmosphere and location.

Yelp
I've only had coffee and pastries, not the gelato...yet. I enjoy walks along the water front with my family and we always make sure to stop by here. I wouldn't say their Americanos are that memorable, but their customer service is. They're always so kind, and even gave my dog a treat today. I've ordered a few of their pastries, today's was a blueberry scone which they offered to heat up. There's a large lobby space to eat inside but I opt for a picnic bench with the view!

Yelp
Hazelnut Gelato. $3.38 with tip. Thick and rich taste of hazelnut on cold a warm sunny ferry day. 1 scoop of it will satisfy tastebuds. Young, pleasant customer service. 8/10 due to only 4 different flavors, otherwise more flavors at least 8+ would be 10/10.

S M.

Yelp
Gelato was too sweet and artificial tasting. Drink was very bitter. Good location but not good value.

R T.

Yelp
Great place for coffee and it tastes good! Excellent pastries and gelato as well. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
This is a really cute little cafe by the Edmonds waterfront. The beverage and gelato offerings are tasty and the staff are friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Edmonds!

Yelp
Doors were locked from people coming in 40 minutes before closing and we stood at the window for 5 minutes and nobody came by. We could see workers standing near the window but not acknowledge us and we could also see people sitting inside. I get that it might be a weekday and not as busy but would it kill to have a sign at the door saying it is closing early? Or employees that aren't trying to avoid being seen at the window so they don't have to work? Especially since the window is still open? At least the other gelato place is open. I don't mind walking.

Anthony W.

Yelp
I love that they sell Gelatiamo gelato. The flavors are only a few, but they are very good. Service is great, very nice and friendly. It's a very quiet facility, a big space with a great view. It's great for remote work. They have varies closing hours. It's best to call ahead. Even though the closing time listed at 3 p.m., I find that they open much later than that.

Yelp
After serving my wife and me on three occasions, (long wait but like to shop local businesses) over the past few weeks, they refused to serve me today-- for not wearing a mask. It's a walk up window...outside!
