I love Shore Soap Company!!! I've been using their products for over a year now. Everything from the bar soap to the face cream, body lotion and my newest obsession - The shampoo and conditioner bars. I can not recommend them any higher. 5 stars is not enough.

I have found my new summer scent, Mermaid Kisses! I ordered all of the candles available in the small size so I could get an introduction to the scents. The Mermaid Kisses candle led me to order the body wash and body lotion, and they are all wonderful. Other scents I love are Daydream and Endless Summer. Plus, I love that this company supports cleaning the oceans. I will be back! ❤️

Mmmmmm yum is all I got to say!!! BEST SMELL OF LOTION & the pice is fair for the bottles , they also have a roll on that stays in my purse! Smells soooo great go on line and pick your smell !

This is a really cool local soap store. They make their own product, they are polite, and have a huge selection of scents. If you like soap stores or are even just curious, you'll like it.

I love the products from this shop! I found it in 2021 on a weekend away and order periodically to stock up on soap (hands down the best I found). The soaps have great scents and are hydrating. My personal indulgence has been the bath bombs over the last couple of years. My only concern is that the stock of the bath bombs online has been minimal. Are these getting phased out? I am looking to stock up!

I LOVE SHORE SOAP!! It's one of my must-stops when I'm in Newport. I'm specifically a fan of the solid fragrances- like little scented vaselines! All their scents are fantastic and their main 12 are named after the ocean/sea. My favorites are Boardwalk, Mermaid Kisses, and Pacific. Everything is natural and has never irritated my skin. Absolutely stop in and smell everything! The perfumes and body oils are my personal favs.

We purchased the Atlantic bar soap. We love the fragrance--so clean-- and it lathers beautifully. The packaging is beautiful and it is a high quality product.

I randomly stepped into Shore Soap Company during my visit in Providence. The layout is modern and cute, very bright and open. The products were laid out beautifully and it was easy to read the prices for each item. I ended up getting Warm Sand candle, Warm Ssnd perfume, and Warm Sand bath bombs. I'm immediately obsessed with this scent and that was my first time there. I signed up for the free membership so I could earn free rewards. I love that they don't test on animals and are trying their best to not use plastic. This is a great store and I will be a returning customer from now on!

I'll reveal my long kept secret: Shore Soap Company in Newport Rhode Island. I found this gem on a trip to visit my brother in October 2018. Overwhelmed by the volume of products with marine oriented names like Atlantic, Salty Mariner, Pacific, Daydream, I selected and purchased one body wash at random. Fast forward to the present, I have become a regular and collect points through their online shop. First, I fell in love with Mermaid Kisses, then Coconut Bikini. I purchased a sample pack of scents for $5 which introduced me their incredible collection of scents. Now, I binge buy many of their soaps. Since I am a big fan, I've compiled a top five list: 1) Jack Frost candle. Jack Frost is a scent released for a limited time in the winter and smells like fresh forest. The candle is wonderful- as good as their 2) Jack Frost soap and 3) Jack Frost lotion! ! 4)Mermaid Kisses body wash and 5) Coconut Bikini hand soap. Their hand soaps and body washes are sulfate free, paraben free, and crafted in Rhode Island. I just tried the Salty Mariner hand soap and I love it! I tend to give Shore Soap hand soaps as gifts because they are great! what better way to stay healthy? I also have super sensitive skin and find it hard to find great products. My skin loves Shore Soap. So there it is! Secret revealed!

Ended up buying the mini 2 oz candles. Scents were great and will make good gifts. Soap were the same smells but not as noticeable as the candles. Overall, a very charming small shop. I didn't try the other products like the roll on scent, lotion, or body scrubs. However, lots of people came in and seemed to like it. Would recommend if you're looking for a practical and unique gift from Newport RI.

If you are a lover of artisanal soaps and bath products, this place is for you! They have a ton of handmade soaps and body washes. The hubby loved the shaving paraphernalia. The scents are very original and they sell them as soap, body lotions, candles and a few body washes. They also have a large selection of solid perfumes. All their products are natural. No chemicals or unpronounceable words. Great shop!!

These soaps are fabulous! I especially love "Warm Sands". The fragrance reminds me of summers at the beach. I highly recommend.

I got some of Shore Soap Company's lotion for Mother's Day and it is SO NICE that I took a trip to Newport to check out the store. I bought some of the Warm Sand body wash and I swear to god I literally shrieked with delight when I used it in the shower for the first time. That's never happened before. It was some sort of otherworldly experience. And so, I'm a convert.

Love this shop! I walked in and tried some lotion and then walked out. Came back a little later because my hands felt so good from the lotion! All of the scents and products are amazing ... I want one of everything! The staff is friendly, but not annoying and don't mind you slowly browsing. They even have products for babies and dogs. I thought the prices were appropriate for the quality of the products.

A quaint, local, natural soap and fragrance store? Shore Soap Company is a breath of fresh air for touristy downtown Newport! We stopped here for a local gift for our native California extended family. I loved the simplicity of their sweet-smelling natural products--you are familiar with all the ingredients, and no chemicals to be found! They feature everything from salves to hair shampoo and lotion that are named after oceania--Mermaid Kisses, Salty Sailor, etc. I do think some of their products are TOO dang expensive--$20 for lotion? Come on. However, this thrifty girl noticed they are cheaper than some high-priced natural skin lines and have a Sale/Clearance section ($10 lotions!). They also carry a number of affordable regularly-priced options: $8 salve and $10 solid perfume. I love their Mango moisturizer stick (which is like a sweet-smelling hand salve) and their Cloud 9 solid perfume (which smells sweet and yet also floral).

It is such a treat to be able to shop local at a gem like Shore Soap Company. Whether I need a thoughtful hand made gift, or to re stock the hand soap I use in my own home... I end up visiting at least once a month. The fragrances are all so clean and beautiful. Every product I have tried has been a good buy, and my friends/family all love the products I send to them (especially the bath salts!). The store is absolutely charming, and the staff couldn't be friendlier. On a recent visit the gentleman overheard me trying to remember which hand soap I had already purchased, and he swooped in remembering exactly what my last order was. Admittedly some products are a tad expensive, but I think the quality is there to back up the price. The shop is totally central to downtown Newport and easy to get to. Metered parking in the summer. Thames Street has it's share of tourist traps, but Shore Soap Company is authentically Newport. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a treat (at least a bath bomb)!

My wife is always looking for hand crafted soaps. So on our trip to Newport in August we stumbled upon this store. Very nice store with a great selection of soaps. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We recently visited friends in Newport and I insisted on popping into the shop because the scents were just too amazing to pass up. I am so happy I forced everyone to stop and wait for me. After a few seconds of sniffing and trying out products I decided to take a bottle of salty mariner and a mens bar (not for my husband but for me!). I've been alternating between the two religiously for a week now and I'm happy to report: I'm absolutely hooked! Leaves my skin feeling amazing. I'm already panicking about what to do when it runs out but I know we'll be back in Newport soon and, of course, I will force everyone to stop and wait for me while I restock! Thanks, Shore Company!

Made a trip to Newport to ring in the New Year. Before leaving, we stopped in this aromatic shop. I purchased some bathbombs in the original scent and they are delightfully relaxing! :) Will be sure to make a trip back next time we're in the vicinity.

Unique, fresh soap store in the heart of Newport owned by a lovely couple. Jake and Steph know their soaps and craft their products with care and pure organic ingredients.

I can not say enough about the soap here!! This stuff is out of this world!!! I have give bars of there soap to people all around the world and they just love it! They now order the soap as well!! From Paris to the Swiss Alps everyone loves this made in USA product!!! Also the people who run the Shore Soap Co are very nice and helpful!!

If I could give a ten I would! I am already in love with everything I bought and will be ordering more online soon! All natural and the scents are great but not overwhelming. The woman working was also super helpful. Their products are also super reasonably priced for the size and quantity. Mermaid kisses is my favorite scent so far but I can't wait to try out more!!

My Boyfriend and i where visiting Newport for the Weekend and stumbled upon this local handmade soap store on Thames St. Although they were not "technically" open yet, the charismatic owner let us take a peak inside. We were surprised by the modern interior and the array of scents, both unique and subtle, and distinguished by the purity of their ingredients. I have sensitive skin and often have trouble finding the right product so i picked a few soaps recommended by the owner to try. After using the soaps for a week, we are very happy with the quality and recommend that anyone visiting Newport stop in to support this local and handmade store front.

I am always seeking out handcrafted soaps. These weren't the best formulation I have found, but their scents are amazing and original. Highly recommend this place for an artisanal souvenir of Newport!!

I was in Newport for the weekend recently and came upon the quaint Shore Soap Company Store. Looks and smells great in there. I am a candle snob. The 100% soy candle I purchased there has the best scent throw I've ever encountered. Good stuff!
