"Shorebird Brewing Co., Sacramento County’s only hard kombucha brewery, has closed, per the Sacramento Bee. Owners Randall Echevarria and Monte Hudock made the announcement via social media last week, thanking supporters and imploring them to continue to visit local breweries, restaurants, and small businesses, which are "struggling to survive," they wrote. Before the brewery shutters for good, though, it’s throwing one last party on Saturday, October 19. Come by for discounted six-packs, pints, and crowlers, and an onsite artist painting pet portraits (Shorebird is dog-friendly). Ten local small businesses will be making an appearance at the party, too." - Justine Jones
