"Brightly decorated boba and banh mi spot, Short & Sweet’s downtown space features vibrant murals as well as banh mi with fillings like pork belly and lemongrass tofu. Bubble tea drinks serve as accompaniments including options like winter melon tea filled with a colorful combination of toppings like tapioca pearls, egg pudding, strawberry pudding, and basil seeds. Mochi doughnuts are available Friday through Sunday with a rotating menu of flavors like ube rice puff, pumpkin pie, matcha Oreo, and strawberry shortcake." - Rachel Pinsky

Came here for the first time. There was a line right to the door when I came in and the line never ceased to go down, which is always a good sign. I tried their special pork belly banh mi sandwich. Items are made fresh and didn’t come out super quickly but worth the wait. I also tried their taro cloud with boba super delicious, also a bit of a wait but still worth the wait. I also tried three different flavors of their mochi donuts. Super delicious and unique. I’ll definitely come back to try some other boba options and donuts.

I can't say enough good things about Short and Sweet—the staff, the atmosphere, and especially the owners, Linda and Sonny. They catered our baby shower with a boba bar and banh mi, and everything was absolutely perfect. Linda went above and beyond, taking time out of her day to make sure the boba bar matched our theme, which we truly appreciated. The drinks were delicious—everyone loved the boba tea! The banh mi was a huge hit and disappeared so quickly I didn’t even get a chance to snap a picture. Overall, we were incredibly pleased with the food and drinks, but what stood out most was how warmly and personally the owners interacted with us. We'll definitely be using them for future catering!

Google
Absolutely perfect little place to relax and get a snack with friends. Delicious and super affordable custom boba drinks and teas. Super amazing claw machines with plushies from Japan and even little goodies to buy. They even had some free stickers! I definitely recommend as a place to try out. Sad I didn’t get a mochi donut! Maybe next time ❤️

Google
Super cute spot for a huge selection of tasty drinks and mochi donuts! And everyone there was so friendly. They helped me figure out a great drink and gave me some boba samples. They let my kiddos also “sample” the popping boba and made them a juice based drink instead of tea. Plus it’s decorated really cute and there’s a few games and comfy places to sit. We couldn’t decide which of the Valentines donut was the best and all picked a different favorite flavor.

Google
Such a cute little shop! I love the drinks but more than that I really love the atmosphere. It is just so homey in here. All the employees are so sweet and so are the owners! I’ve come in on Sunday near close to get donuts and they totally threw in a few extras for the end of the day which was just so sweet! The rotating donut flavors are fun as well, I love trying out the new stuff they come up with. The cloud taro drink is my absolute favorite! It’s very sweet but subtly so if that makes sense.

Google
We stumbled upon this shop after getting lunch nearby and tried a strawberry matcha latte and some mochi donuts. These are the best mochi donuts I have ever had! The workers were so kind and even offered us a free donut for Mother’s Day! We are definitely going to come back! It was a fantastic place to stop for a quick treat! Will have to try the banh mi!

Google
Great place for tea drinks and mochi donuts in downtown Vancouver. Relaxed atmosphere and great service. Bonus- Cool little bookstore below the shop. De

Google
Recently moved to Vancouver downtown, so being in the market of looking for the best boba shops was a given-- Short & Sweet easily satisfies that while also being a mochi donut place at the same time! The donuts have multiple delicious flavors to choose from, and the drinks menu is quite varied, with a signature selection that's all worth trying! We've tried four of them and they all looked amazing and tasted just like so. The tea base is great, and the tapioca is very well cooked, giving them the perfect consistency and sweetness, definitely a contender for my top 3 in all 50 other boba shops we've had the chance to try! All of the employees here have been incredibly nice and welcoming as well! They even have bánh mì too (which I'll have to try at some point) so a lunch backdrop would be perfect alongside the cozy decoration inside.

Yelp
Was walking around downtown and saw this cute store selling mochi donuts and boba. The Inside was well decorated and very aesthetic. There are a few tables and a couch. Service was fast and pleasant. They sell bahn mi here as well! Got a wintermelon milk tea with crystal boba (less ice, 25% sweet). It was still pretty sweet, especially for 25%. Wintermelon flavor is not very strong... the drink kind of just tastes sweet. Crystal boba was cooked well, not mushy or undercooked. However, it didn't have any additional flavor or sweetener added to it, as it didn't taste like much on its own. Cost was a bit on the pricier side (about $6.50), but with little competition nearby, the convenience can be worth the extra cost. Would be open to trying the mochi donuts next time I'm nearby, but probably not the boba.

Yelp
Fun little bubble tea and bahn mi and mochi donut shop to grab a bite while exploring downtown Vancouver. The wait staff was friendly even on a busy Pokémon weekend. The bubble tea was good and they did just a mango juice for my daughter even though it's not listed on the menu board.

Haley K.

Yelp
Went on a mission over the weekend to get me some mochi donuts & boba tea of course. I wanna say they're the only ones in Vancouver to make those. I went with the strawberry milk tea regular sweetness & the 3 pack donuts (strawberry shortcake, cocoa crispy, & pandan coconut). First off, their cups are great quality, thick & they put a little cute heart stopper in it. Once mixed, my drink was so yummy. Nice & creamy, yet refreshing for a sunny day. Boba was cooked perfectly. Donuts were a good texture, not too sticky, not tough. My favorite was the pandan. The aesthetic on here is very picture worthy. There is even a little nook to where you can take a photo. It'd be great hang out spot with friends. Service was great. Definitely want to come back to try the banh mi. We did however circle the area multiple times trying to look for the parking area mentioned in another review that's free for 2 hours. We gave up & finally parked on the street nearby, which looked to be free on weekends. Once we got to the shop, we could see the parking area from the window, now we know.

Yelp
Just thought I would drop in to share a quick update since it has been a while! Overall I feel like this boba place is still great, and I am glad they are located where they are! The people working are always pleasant, and the service is good. It is never super busy in the seating area when I go, but I know they are very busy, Since my last review they have finally been able to add mochi donuts on the weekend days, which are very tasty (highly recommend checking them out!) I will say that on the weekend mochi donut days, the lines can be quite long and waits can also be a bit long, so I would just make sure to plan ahead before going! Other then the mochi donuts arriving, the other changes have for sure been price increases. I understand that prices of food items have been going up everywhere, but the prices of their bahn mi's have gone up like $3-4 per sandwich, which isn't a ton but for what you get I think its a notable increase. And i'm only mentioning it because no current photos have the updates prices, so it may be a little misleading until you get there and notice they are more expensive. Nonetheless I do enjoy this place, and recommend people try it!

Deedee C.

Yelp
This places makes my favorite bahn mi and I've eaten bahn mi's all over SF and LA. While there isn't much competition yet in Vancouver WA .... this place is actually legit and it's become my go to bahn mi place whenever I get a craving Their best creation is their lemongrass tofu bahn mi because it's so freaking delicious and flavorful. I love it even more than my older favorite flavor (combination ham) and am solely eating this flavor now. The flavors are subtle but when all the combined ingredients make it super satisfying. Their bahn mi mayo is on point and their sandwiches are loaded! Their sandwiches are a lot more filling and robust than typical bahn mi's and for the price you pay, it is worth it. Every time I go, I need to save the other bahn mi half for another meal. Pro-tip: Add that extra egg white and your sandwich goes from amazing to f***ing amazing.

Michaela D.

Yelp
The drink I chose was really good and the service was fast and kind! The employee brought my drink out to my table which I was not expecting at all! The atmosphere inside is inviting and calming.

Anne L.

Yelp
Mango drink was delightful and full of chewy jellies. This was a nice discovery while on our excursion through Vancouver. We were bummed the mochi donuts were sold out when we arrived. Cute interior and seating. Chill spot to hang, great location. Bookmarked for a future return!

Erika K.

Yelp
Drinks 5/5 Boba quality 5/5 Vibes and service 5/5 My first time in Washington and I had no clue what to expect for boba. But WOW this was SO GOOD. We got the winter melon milk tea, Vietnamese iced coffee and kiwi black tea. I've had so much watered down boba living in Boston so it was so refreshing to have actually flavorful teas. There are no adjustments made for the Vietnamese iced coffee and my traditional Asian mom was nervous it was gonna be "too sweet" but it was a balanced amount of sweet for her. The boba texture was also great, chewy, large, perfectly sweet and plentiful. There are several clean interior seating areas and cute decor, great for a group. The staff was also very pleasant with answering any questions we've had. Go here for boba!

Melissa L.

Yelp
A friend invited me for lunch and I'm so glad he did. This spot just opened in downtown Vancouver late last year. I tried the Okinawa crème brûlée milk tea. Delicious. This was very filling. But I pushed through and grabbed a sandwich, too. The House Special Pork Belly Banh Mi. Pickled carrots, daikon, slim cut cucumbers, jalapeños, & house made mayo. Very Good. Bread and ingredients were fresh. I'm looking forward to trying their mochi donuts. Staff was friendly. Ambiance is bright, colorful, yet casual and I wish me and my friend could have stayed longer. I look forward to returning.

Mary V.

Yelp
This is one of the best quality boba teas in the area. The Taro milk tea was so good and you can really taste and smell the taro. I love this place because the vibe on the inside is so cute & cozy. You can sit and play some games while you sip your drinks. The staff themselves are so sweet even when they were short staffed.

Alexander A.

Yelp
My banh mi took 30 minutes to make banh mi is not even good. The pork belly banmi is bacon slices. Long line not worth it. I don't get the hype

RN R.

Yelp
Gotten Boba from here 3 different times and gave up after that. The boba was never consistently cooked, every time it was either mushy or too hard which makes me sad because the honey flavor is great... just never cooked well. Well we finally returned after 8 months just to try the doughnuts. We walked in and the entire place reeked of grease. Not sure if the vents were down that specific day or if it always like but it is off putting. The doughnuts themselves have a great texture. Cheewy and light. The flavors are a bit fake-y. Wish they would have more classic options (maple and glazed would be great). Considering the price, the smell and quality it is not something we feel like is worth returning for.

Jose C.

Yelp
Service 5/5 Drinks 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Bahn Mis 3/5 The Vietnamese coffee with crème brûlée is very good. Their Vietnamese coffee seems to be very popular. Two times I've gone and they've run out of the coffee. I'm not a huge fan of their Bahn Mis but they're not bad.

Cassidy N.

Yelp
The first time coming here I notice the interior design. It's a very aesthetic place with cute decorations and photo ops. I think the first time getting a drink here, I did not enjoy it because it was too sweet. Keeping that in mind, this time I tried their Passion Mango Fruit Tea and changed the sweetness level to 50%. I really liked this drink with the different toppings like the basil seeds, the mango star jelly, and the mango popping boba. In the past I've had a sip of The Crazy Drink and it has lots of toppings and textures if that is something you enjoy. I got served when I was ready and Sunny helped me out if I had any questions.

Del K.

Yelp
I am an absolute bubble tea fan and have been following Short & Sweet on Instagram since they opened and was finally able to get in to check them out last weekend. I got the Taro Cloud and my partner got the Thai Tea without boba. Both were wonderful. They have lots of customization options: sweetness level, ice level, milk options, and a ton of toppings you can add. I can't wait to try their banh mi and mochi donuts (once they become available). Another thing about our first visit: They were celebrating Lunar New Year so were incredibly busy with a line out the door and a lion dance performance shortly after we arrived. This can be a true test of a business. They absolutely handled it beautifully, which is quite impressive for a new business. Thank you for making my bubble tea dreams come true!!

Katherine C.

Yelp
Located in Vancouver, my daughters love the drink that literally has all the toppings and more in it. The staff is great and really considerate. I haven't tried their food but hope to in a future visit. The cafe is small but has instagrammable photo ops with the decor. A go to spot when we're in Vancouver.

Sandra L.

Yelp
Cute place! I am very impressed with the renovation of the old Rosemary Cafe. The colors are bright and beautiful with fun murals painted on the walls. We stopped by on a Wednesday night on a whim. We were greeted with enthusiastic welcome in which was very refreshing. The menu is right above the counter and very easy to read. I was sad the big pastry case was empty which, is where I think the mochi donuts go? I was hoping for dessert however, we did show up an hour before close so maybe they sold out. My husband and I shared a Bah Mi grilled chicken sandwich. It was prepared quickly and served to us at our table. The size is perfect. The French bread was soft inside and crispy on the outside. The fresh veggies were crisp and the grilled chicken was delicious and savory. If we weren't already full from a previous dinner we may have ordered another. We will be back for another Bah Mi, bubble tea and mochi donuts!

Tori H.

Yelp
Fun environment with delicious drinks! Cute photo spots in the shop. Not overly sweet, but still flavorful!

Billy N.

Yelp
You'll go crazy for the Crazy Drink! It's a must try! Amazing drinks, delicious Bánh Mì, delightful service. Gonna keep this Short & Sweet and highly recommend you go taste for yourself!

Jeffrey H.

Yelp
Such a good place to get a crème brûlée boba I recommend this place every time someone ask if there are any good boba places located in Vancouver, WA.

Alyshia N.

Yelp
Friendly and fast service. Had the pork belly and the flavor was really good but paid extra for extra of everything on the sandwich and struggled to find much meat. Either we didn't get the extra meat we paid for or they are really skimpy with the meat in the first place. So I would highly recommend asking for extra. The wall mural was really pretty and the resturant looked clean.

Claudia C.

Yelp
we weren't given a receipt for our order so we didn't know what our order # was when they were calling them out but we were able to tell by the drinks. we ordered the chicken banh mi which was great! Drinks were delicious, they didn't have mochi donuts which was disappointing. We asked when they'd be getting them and weren't really given a straight answer. Overall the vibe inside was very nice, not too loud or too quiet! Definitely will be back and hope they have the mochi donuts next time :)

Sara S.

Yelp
Service was excellent and atmosphere was great. Drinks were pricey and lackluster though. Tried fruit teas with boba - syrups were used, fruity flavors did not come through, and boba was on the chewier/harder side, especially if the drink is cold. YES to the environment and friendly staff, but the drinks are not my cup of tea.

Ai M.

Yelp
Very good vibes soon as I stepped in - friendly greeting, bright decor, and IG worthy wall decor. Menu is personalized with ice/sugar selections. I'm too full to try the Banh Mi as I just had lunch, but unique drink options made my day. I went with matcha strawberry tea and my mother passion fruit with basil seeds. Easy access and plenty of street parking - happy workers :) Best battle gear drinks for the hour traffic down south.

James B.

Yelp
Got the Passion Fruit Mango Star with a water base (no caffeine). Enjoyed the drink, would come back again for their regular drinks and sandwiches earlier in the day

Luan N.

Yelp
Great spot for a quick banh mi and addicting bubble tea! But you have got to try their mochi donuts when they got em in stock! The staff there are always courteous and friendly. My daughter loves going there to hang out and drink her boba!

Cassandra K.

Yelp
I have been craving their pork belly Bahn Mi since my first visit. With my busy schedule? I haven't had the chance to head back, but I have to so I can satisfy this craving. Everyone was friendly and service was quick. I did get my bahn mi before my boba drink(also yummy) but that is only because there were so many orders just for boba ahead of mine. Unfortunately, they didn't have their mochi donuts yet but just another reason to head back. It felt like a colorful and bright café. Seating was limited during the busy time we visited but we ended up grabbing a table when a group was finished.

Meghan C.

Yelp
I finally got to visiting this new spot today in celebration of Chinese New Year and WOW! This will now be one of my weekly spots. First off, they did an amazing job with the space. The interior is bright, clean and welcoming with fun murals and furniture. Now, the bahn mi- oh my goodness. The bread was the perfect texture of crunchy but still soft. I had the lemon grass tofu and every single bite was perfection. I got my fiancé the pork roll and it was the same- delicious every bite. I tried the passion fruit mango star tea and was tempted to get a second one I drank it down so quickly! My friend tried the Okinawa cream brûlée. It was sweet, creamy and out of this world. The prices are really great too! I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a delicious lunch .

Parker W.

Yelp
Very good food and drinks also service was nice and the food comes out pretty fast. The restaurant also has a nice cozy feel to it.

Leticia C.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I am so happy that the are downtown. Their space is very clean and cute. The wait times the two times I have been so far area little long but its because they are so popular and busy but it's totally worth the wait. I recently learned that they accept phone orders so that's a plus. The drinks taste great and I'm looking forward to trying other drinks.

Juliann L.

Yelp
Really great boba, coming from someone who lived in the Bay Area for years enjoying boba. The texture of the boba was perfect, and the Okinawa tea was just as good! I got it half sweet as I prefer more of the tea flavor. Will definitely be one of my regular boba places from now on!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
This is our go-to Bahn mi Place in Vancouver. The staff is always upbeat and friendly, the Bahn mi are always good and the boba is delicious.

Calvin M.

Yelp
Is it rude for me to say that the store smelled weird because it totally ruined the very effervescent atmosphere they had going. I ordered some taro drink, with the salty whipped cream and it had egg pudding and those black balls at the bottom. The drink itself was very purple but it turned green in my fridge which I thought was cool. The staff was friendly and did a great job.

Brandi H.

Yelp
The space is bright and cute, service was friendly and reasonably quick. Great milk tea with boba (less sweet), tasty banh mi but would not recommend getting coffee here, it tasted very weird. Will definitely be back for the banh mi and milk tea though!

Kiara R.

Yelp
This place has some yummy fun drinks but sadly small selection. The drinks can be VERY sweet and not make you can regulate the sweetness. Other than that the only boba places in Vancouver with lots of space and affordable drinks. Very sweet staff as well and always tip when you can!

Ash T.

Yelp
Bubble tea craving = SATISFIED !!! We have been searching for a bubble tea spot that compared to our favorite place back in CA, and we are so glad we found Short & Sweet! I got a strawberry/mango fruit tea with boba, and my partner had the brown sugar milk tea with boba. DELICIOUS! The perfect sweetness level and flavors. The restaurant is cute and trendy on the inside, and the menu even has sandwiches and other treats we can't wait to try another time. Yum yum yum!!

Rohan T.

Yelp
Short and Sweet is my favorite boba place in town. They serve up some of the best boba drinks I've ever tasted. The pearls are always perfectly cooked, and they offer a wide variety of flavors to choose from. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or grab a drink to go. The staff is friendly and always happy to help you find your new favorite drink (especially a guy named Travis). If you're a boba lover like me, you have to give Short and Sweet a try!

Anastasia N.

Yelp
Waited 35+ minutes, cashier was rude, was lied to, and order got messed up. So I've been here before and it was pretty nice, a little spendy and a great location...I went back today and they were a little busy as expected on a Saturday. The girl who took our order was rude right off the bat. I tried to order the Vietnamese iced coffee with topping, including boba. A couple minutes go by and I overheard an employee ask someone if they would like different toppings instead of boba because they were out for 20 minutes. Heard this more than once until one of my drinks came out, the one that didn't have any boba. 15 more minutes go by and the People who ordered after us got their drinks or to change their order. I went up to the counter to ask about the stuffed animals they had and where they got them. They blatantly lied to my face about someone "making" them. They had a squish mellow tag on them for crying out loud. Another 10 minutes and one of the other people who ordered after us got asked if they would like to switch their jellies. They said they would wait. While waiting, I saw other people get boba in their drinks, but neither mine nor the other customer's drink came out. 10 minutes AFTER them being asked and seeing others get boba, they went up to the counter and asked about their drink. The employee claimed they had no recollection of their order but was going to make them a drink right away. Something happened with their milk and they ultimately decided they wanted a refund. They came and talked to us and said we had been there longer than they had. At this point, we had been there for well over 35 minutes. I then talked to an employee who was very nice the first time we went and he explained how they had ran out of boba but they have more.... Why didn't they just ask if we wanted different toppings instead of making us wait for 35+ minutes?? I used to work at a bubble tea house and I kid you not, they didn't let the boba rest or cool off enough before serving because it was mushy. They also didn't add the coffee jelly that I asked for. With .75 cents per topping for a $7 drink, I would've appreciated it. Would not go back to.

Giselle R.

Yelp
Finally a good boba place in Vancouver! The vibes are amazing and the drinks are even better. This will be my go-to for yummy food, tasty drinks, and friendly staff!

Charlize D.

Yelp
One of the best boba places in Vancouver, WA! The service was excellent and the place is so cute and inviting! Highly recommend this place! The milk teas tasted amazing!

Mollie H.

Yelp
Charming little place on the corner of two busy streets :) The tea was hands down one of the best teas I've had ever - boba was perfection as well :)) Originally went intending to get doughnuts but unfortunately they have not started selling them yet :/ If they are anything like the tea, I'm sure they be amazing !

Kathy N.

Yelp
Drinks were powdery, it triggered my dry cough. I recognize these powder packets from when I buy them at the supermarkets for cheap. Front counter service was hostile, they could use some extra training.

Lexi C.

Yelp
Sooo good, 10/10 would recommend! I got the #1 port sandwich and it to die for with the fresh veggies and delicious bread. I also got the brown sugar boba and it now my favorite place to get boba! The two people working were very nice and patient with our large group.

Laura B.

Yelp
What a delightful, delicious experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful space, the yummy food and the welcoming attitude of the staff. Our kids really loved it, too.

Wade C.

Yelp
Check this place out!! Best bubble tea in the entire Portland area. Taro Cloud is my drink of choice

Elaine F.

Yelp
Just so wonderful! Our sandwiches were fantastic! The service was incredible! The space is lovely! We will be coming back soon!

Keyanna O.

Yelp
I want to love this place, but unfortunately it is subpar. I've gone three times to give it a fair try. The last time will most likely be the last time. Our drinks weren't made the way we ordered them and when one was needing to be remade correctly the team member had a terrible attitude. It was disappointing. The shop is super cute. No mochi donuts. The banh mi bread is fresh and the toppings are fine, however the bubble tea it's self is just okay.

Binh T.

Yelp
Super cute interior design and decorations for soft opening . Bubble tea , banh mi and mochi donuts. Must try item: creme brule milktea. :)

Josh S.

Yelp
Such a fun place. Great ambiance lot of energy from the employees. The chicken Banh mi was delicious. Tried the crème brûlée brown sugar milk tea fantastic.
