Google
AMAZING interesting VEGAN food, quick kiosk ordering, friendly attentive staff, food quick to arrive. Make your own mushroom shawarma bowl 10/10 amazing so delicious Kale salad 9/10 good, just plain Lentil soup 9/20 good Fried mushroom “chicken” pita 7/10 it’s good, I just don’t love fried food and doesn’t seem as healthy as the make your own bowl, a little plain compared to my colorful yummy bowl

Google
Best Mediterranean food I've ever had. By a mile. Incredible almond feta, falafel was lovely, high quality ingredients.

Google
A great spot for take away or a quick dine in experience. The service was quick and with a smile. The fries!!! I'm not usually a frie fan, however the seasoned fries were so good, plus the dipping sauce?! That alone was worth the visit. I also got the mushroom schawarma bowl and it was divine. Refreshing and full of flavor for a healthier choice. Can't wait til my next visit!

Google
Cute little vegetarian, fast-casual spot where you order at a touchscreen to make sure you get what you want. When your order is ready, they call your name. Some of the other reviewers mention the soft fluffiness of the pita. It's unlike any other pita I've ever had. I had always thought pitas were always dry and tough and not the best mouth-feel. This was the best pita I have ever had. Same goes with the falafel. My partner nearly cried when a partly eaten falafel rolled out of her pita and onto the floor. You can imagine how she felt when it happened a second time. That being said, if you love the falafel here as much as we do, eat them before your pita loses its ability to contain them. I did a build-a-bowl plate with roasted red peppers, roasted cauliflower, red tomatoes, fresh cucumbers, Israeli pickels, pickled red onions, pickled white cabbage, and pickled red cabbage. The different pickles were tasty but be wary that 4 servings at once was too much acid and led to a dessert of antacids. Will definitely come back. Everything was very tasty, fresh, healthy, and colorful.

Google
Great falafel place that's possibly the best in the DMC area, according to my wife. Service is good as well, but the atmosphere could use some improvement. Be sure to get the white sauce and spread that _______ on everything; it's sooooo nom nom good 🤪.

Google
I’ve never been here and this place is better than cava and chipotle in my opinion. Around 15 dollars for delicious food. 1. Phenomenal food! Omg! The 2 way eggplant is awesome! Super flavorful and didn’t think it would be good. 2. The price is pretty good for what you get and quality! 3. Food came out really quick 4. The green sauce is so good! Not crazy spicy and just the right amount of spice 5. Oyster mushrooms pita was really good as well! The mushrooms had a blast of flavors! Then as you chew there’s even more flavors! Definitely give it a try!

Google
Easily one of the best vegan places I've been to. I've ordered a Shawarma in pita bread and it was one of the tastiest vegan fast food I've ever put in my mouth, ever. I would want to share this with everyone I know when I can.

Google
We ordered a To-go and seems a little pricey for the quantity they offer. We ordered, Bam Bam Falafel bowl, Red Lentil Soup and Hummus. Full credit it to Falafel bowl. Hummus was a good too. However, lentil soup was a major let down. It was very watery and had a weird after taste.

Gaurav B.

Yelp
How do I start? Fried Oyster mushrooms sounds so Shouk'n Good ! We had to try this place. We have had vegetarian shawarma before but most places its the impossible or beyond meat or some sort of fusion soy crumbles. Never tried a oyster mushroom shawarma before. Shawarma itself was so well seasoned and flavorful went so well other options that we picked in the platter. We really wanted to try the Fried Mushroom schnitzel sandwich but they didn't have it at that time so we decided to go for Falafel platter and the falafels so were different form other places, packed with flavor. Pita was so soft and fluffy unlike I have had before and yes I had tried Pita in hundreds of different food joints. Can't wait to be back for fried mushroom sandwich and the shouk burger.

Yelp
Located in a shopping center with ample free parking. Picked up a late lunch and it wasn't busy, so the order came out quickly. There's a good amount of seating inside and outside, but most people grab and go. Service was nearly non-existent since you order everything on the kiosk (or app) and when you have a question, it's hard to flag down someone at the kitchen to ask. Not what I expected, thought it would be more of a Cava or Chipotle where you go down the line with what you want. The falafel pita was mid, but the packaging in the box was nice.

Nikita J.

Yelp
What a fantastic find so close to my office! This is THE spot if you want a plant-based meal. The falafel is crisp and flavorful, veggies are super fresh, sauces are flavor bombs. Fries are crispy outside, fluffy inside, and taste like real potatoes with an addictive seasoning. Don't skip the shouk sauce! You order using the touch screens and then patiently wait for your food. Totally worth it. Can't wait to bring my vegetarian friends/family here to try.

Yelp
I had a fantastic meal at Shouk! This all vegan business excels providing Israeli inspired food with plenty of flavor. Shouk has fairly limited indoor seating and has three tables outside. It is certainly plenty of room for 2-4 people to dine in. Additionally their bathroom has a changing table which makes this a really family friendly option. As a new mom I am now noting what bathrooms are compatible for diaper changes. To order your meal you use their touchscreen kiosk. You can also scan a QR code from the Shouk app to accumulate points and redeem discounts. My absolute favorite meal is the fried Shouk'n sandwich with spiced fries. The fried oyster mushrooms are a crispy and chewy texture. I get the sauce on the side to make sure the pita is not drenched in too much creaminess. And I love the veggies included in this sandwich that add some lightness and tang to the pita. The French fries are spiced so well and always come out perfectly cooked. The portion size of fries is also generous. I can never finish my side and always offer for people to help me finish them. Shouk also has a build your own bowl option which is fantastic. You can pick 8 items as the base and then pay extra for falafel or other specialty items. I love assembling my own bowl so I dan out all my favorite veggies in. The food at Shouk comes out quickly. I think the staff at this location work hard and are very friendly. I am making my meals at Shouk more regular because it's a very quick meal to pick up and the quality is always great.

Yelp
Shouk came up on a lunch search I did in the area. We decided to take a chance with a new place and were well rewarded for this chance. Pros: Two screens to place your order on with pictures of all the food. I love seeing what my food will look like before ordering so I loved this. Easy to pay and go. Amazing food-it took about 20 minutes from the time we ordered until we got the food, so it was fresh. Everything tasted amazing and the coconut pudding was the most unique thing I've tried in the last month. I could eat that every day. Cons: There's seating inside but all large four seater tables when most of the people that came in while we were there were couples. There wasn't enough seating for everyone that came in. Next time I'll order take out. The food didn't come with any indication of what was in either of the boxes and since I forgot what I ordered, it was a little confusing. There were only two of us, but if it was a larger group I could see that being frustrating. The restaurant has kind of an awkward layout. The trash, which is right next to the door, causes unnecessary people flow issues. We had to the hold door and wait for people who were sorting their trash because there wasn't enough space to pass them, which was fine except there was a line of people waiting throw things away, which meant we just stood with the door open looking for a break in the trash line to get in. Overall, I really liked Shouk and will come back for takeout soon.

Yelp
Got the Shouk burger which was fantastic as usual. Also had the hummus and lentil soup. The pita just smelled and tasted so wonderful and soft as a pillow. Then I got the malabi, a coconut milk pudding which was also amazing. I just love Shouk. Naturally Plant based and truly good fast casual cuisine with no fanfare or fuss. You have my heart!

Laura S.

Yelp
We love this place so much. The only thing I am ever disappointed about is when my incredibly delicious meal is over. These folks put together the perfect mix of items to make every bite a surprise and a delight. The quality of the ingredients is exceptional. Every bowl and sandwich has been extraordinary. And we love their sustainability commitment with the use of wind power and their recyclable products. Shouk is one of our all-time favorite meals.

Ella T.

Yelp
The food was soo good! We got the bowls and loved them. It was nice that the whole place is plant based so we didn't have to worry about anything. The service was great and the place was very nice and cute. It was a great place for a chill hangout.

Shayna H.

Yelp
I was extremely impressed by my experience at Shouk. When you walk in you order on a computer screen. The wait for the food took about 5 minutes. There is some indoor and outdoor seating but not too much so keep this in mind. Personally, I got my meal to go. I started with the classic falafel which was amazing. It was also extremely filling as the portion size was quite large. I didn't feel too bad about that though because I knew it was plant-based and fresh. I finished with the choco-cardamom cookie which melts in your mouth (just as described on the menu). This is a great option for those who are dairy free, vegan, vegetarian, or kosher. Can't wait to go back!

Jeff J.

Yelp
Rockville location: kind of get a 'dive' feel when you walk in. I wouldn't characterize it as inviting, warm, or very clean. I was apprehensive but determined to give it a try because I love mushrooms! There were a couple of people hanging around waiting for their orders. It's small, the walls beg for fresh paint, the floor could use some updating (different shades of concrete), and an overall vibe of the need for a good old-fashioned scrubbing. So, if you've never been, you walk up to the counter and place your order via a touchscreen. We found seats and waited. After we got our order - my wife got the falafel and I got two pocket sandwiches to try, the fried mushroom and the mushroom shawarma - we dug in. I cannot express my surprise and delight at how delicious the food is there! Even the side kale salad was excellent. The mushrooms were succulent, flavorful, rich, and paired wonderfully with the pocket sandwich additions. I have decided that I can't decide which one is my favorite, so when I go again, and I will, I'll have a hard time choosing. Or...maybe get both again

Benjamin N.

Yelp
On the plus side, the classic falafel pita is pretty solid. It's not the best in the DMV area, but definitely above average in taste, freshness, and quality. Unfortunately, the overall experience was mixed. The side order of spice fries was not very good and had a slightly unpleasant taste. The service was extremely slow and the staff was uncommunicative.

Yelp
Conveniently located next to Mom's grocery. Plenty of parking. Easy self-order kiosk. All packaging that I saw was compostable, except maybe the plastic lids and sauce packets (?). I saw those had the #5 plastic recycle symbol at least. Free (lukewarm) water station with 12oz paper cups. I ordered the signature shouk burger with Harissa mayo and new malabi (?) dessert to go. The presentation for both were great. The first few bites of the burger were impressive, but as I continued, I just got tired of it. I think there wasn't enough crunch or umami for me. Maybe I should've gotten one of the options with breaded or fried somethin somethin. The pita itself tasted really good. I'm usually not one to notice pitas--maybe since they're typically kinda bland, hard, and/or too thin--but this was soft, tasty, substantial but not too thick. The malabi was quite refreshing and satisfying. It felt a bit expensive at over $20 (tip included) for two items. I may or may not come back.

Parisa A.

Yelp
I was really hungry so I decided to try this place out! Personally I loved the pita it seemed fresh. However the sandwich was drenched with oil making it difficult to eat. I personally wish it wasn't filled with oil to make it more enjoyable. Also wish there was more greens in the sandwich than just mushrooms. Update: I'm not sure if the food had gone bad, but I have been extremely ill after eating their sandwich.

J K.

Yelp
The falafels here are the best I've had in the area, just so so good! Also had the fries which were incredible. Highly recommend this place!

Ashira M.

Yelp
Great! Fun! Tasty! Cool! Neat! Hot! I must say it is very sensible to have an Israeli food restaurant in Rockville -- where the Israelis live! To have one that is vegan is a-ma-zing! The Shouk'n nuggets are great -- tasty, crispy, hot, chewy, and yummy! I must say I like to eat them right away! They're a little bit weather-dependent because even living close by, the heat dissipates rather quickly even on a short ride during winter ... so for me, I'd rather eat them standing in the parking lot if and when I can't eat inside! Plus, you know, that gives them kind of a little extra 'edge' what with the heat against the cold air of winter ... but you know, I like excitement -- so this method isn't for everyone, ha ha! It's not for you if you like to eat, say, sitting -- but then again, you could sit in your vehicle to eat them .... Then again, it's said that a lot of food is eaten standing up in Israel, so if you want a really more authentic experience, then eating standing up is highly recommended! You're welcome for the authenticity tip! :-D The lentil soup is great, and the cardamom cookies are awe-some! Really, if you don't want to get anything else -- like if you're not hungry and just happen to be nearby, I don't think you can go wrong with just getting a cookie! It's the BEST!

Felecia B.

Yelp
Great made to order plant based food and Shouk burger with yummy fries. Small clean Eat in, on patio and take out options. Pleasant responsive staff.

Evan S.

Yelp
Wow! For the vegetarian and the non-vegetarian alike, this food is truly excellent. So fresh and favorable. Amazing presentation. And great prices. This is out of the way for us, but totally worth the drive. We will be back.

Janet D.

Yelp
Stunningly delicious vegan and gluten intolerant friendly food! Maybe my favorite place to eat lately. The move is to build your own bowl with hummus, falafel AND oyster mushroom shawarma. Don't sleep on the malabi either, it's coconut based with raspberry rose topping, yum!

Heather C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the food! We ordered a side of fries with the seasoning. They had a distinct and interesting flavor but we liked them. We also ordered a falafel bowl. The combination of hummus, falafel, pickles, tomatoes and cucumbers with the hottest available sauce was delicious. I would definitely come back again. The service was quick and the place was bright and inviting to eat in or take out.

Michael G.

Yelp
Very good food. I love the Falafels. The food is always ready in a short time and I can get extra Tahini. The staff are nice.

Paul J.

Yelp
We stopped by Shouk to try their new Crab Cake sandwich, and it didn't disappoint. As a Marylander, I'm VERY picky about crab cakes, and I have to hand it to Shouk for their ambition in creating a vegan version. The texture was spot on - if I closed my eyes, I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference, except that it was a bit bland, flavor-wise. Still, a vegan crab cake that actually felt like crab cake? You gotta give this a try. High marks for their Shouk Sausage and Malabi, too. Of all the vegan places trying to make it in this world, Shouk is on the right track.

Mike B.

Yelp

Yelp
Great flavorful food. My group all enjoyed their meals. I had the falafel bowl with the side of extra falafels (5). Delicious light and flavorful. Highly recommend.

Danielle S.

Yelp
5 stars for delicious, fresh falafel and sides. Highly recommend a visit for lunch or catering.

D M.

Yelp
By looking online, I expected casual, and indeed it os, a couple tables and chairs in a small space. I am NOT a vegetarian, but the food here was really good. On the down sode , the ordering system sucks. All ordering is done on a touchscreen, and you can change some things but not others. For example, cucumber and onions are listed as one item you can have or remove, no big deal I figured they were mixed together. Watching the young lady putting the sandwich together I saw her putting them on individually. Would have been nice to have the cucumbers, the onions are what was not wanted. Overall the food was good and i know to ask if i need something changed. I will be back.

Joy B.

Yelp
The word "Shouk" means open air market in Hebrew. It specializes in plant based foods that use fresh vegetables, grains, legumes, and seeds. Truthfully, I was a little hesitant to try Shouk, until my son in law, who is a chef, raved about it. I thought it would be the perfect game day meal. I ordered humus and the felafel sandwich. Ordering was so easy. You come in and order on a screened computer in the front of the restaurant. The computer prompts you, if you don't want any items in the dish or if you want to add on menu items. I took out the onion on my sandwich. The people working there were very pleasant and nice. I was in and out in about 5 minutes. I liked the middle Eastern decor. The hamsa hand on the wall stands for good luck. Well, my food was absolutely delicious. The breads are made in house and they are fresh and tender. The hummus was one of the best I have ever eaten. It was light, creamy, and flavorful. I couldn't stop eating it. Then, the felafel sandwich was packed full of huge felafel balls, fresh cucumber, and tomatoes. The tahini sauce on top was really tasty. The felafel balls were so tender and spiced perfectly. They melted in your mouth. The sandwich was huge and I ate it in two sittings. Probably, because I ate too much humus. Lol! Well, this may have been my first time, but it definitely won't be my last. My brother in law recommended trying the chicken nuggets. They are made from mushrooms. Next time, I will give those a try. This food is wonderful and I could not tell it was plant based. So, healthy and packed with flavor, this is a win-win celebration! Thanks Shouk.

Stuart M.

Yelp
Take a break from meat. You can get all your essential nutrients, plenty of flavor, and go easy on the animals. Win. Win. I began with lentil soup. Warm, hearty, with a hint of spice. Then I shared two sandwiches. The shouk burger came on fresh pita, with a variety of textures, some crunch, and a snap of tahini. We also had the mushroom shawarma. Oyster mushrooms are higher end than some other options. Again, there is crunch, vinegar bite, and a tahini background. Both winners. We also enjoyed the sweet potato fries, than were not crisp. ie. not drenched in oil. So a well balanced meal, with textures, flavors, and they don't break the bank.

Peter K.

Yelp
As plant-based eaters, we were excited to discover this restaurant. But it did not quite meet our expectations. The plant-based burger had spices my wife does not care for, so she could not finish her meal. But the fries were very good. The lack of seating was quite disappointing, and the few tables were anything but cozy. We may try Shouk at another location in the future, but won't return here. (Not sure how close to Ballston, VA other locations are. We had not seen one previously).

Diah K.

Yelp
It's the best Israel street food!! Love the falafel bowl with baba ganoush, pickel onion. We will definitely be back.

Donna Z.

Yelp
Best Israeli food and all vegan! Love the falafel Owners are super friendly. Prices are very reasonable

Joyce Y.

Yelp
I just want to preface this by saying this review is solely based off what I ordered, which was the BBQ Jackfruit pita sandwich. While I still think many of their other menu items sounded delicious, I just thought the BBQ jackfruit was a little too sweet for my liking. It got sweeter as I ate it weirdly enough! I personally didn't mind the texture of the jackfruit. I would have preferred less cabbage, seems like my sandwich was really heavy on the pickled red cabbage, which really brought the whole thing to new levels of acidic, sourness, and sweetness with nothing savory to balance it out. I will say that the side of hummus that my friend and I ordered was BOMB. I normally wouldn't order hummus at a restaurant but this I would get again. I wish I had more pita for it! I liked that the restaurant was very environmentally friendly (everything was compostable including the containers!) and in a good location (next to Mom's). I would visit again and get something else!

Roma S.

Yelp
So so happy that Shouk opened in North Bethesda. What makes it doubly gratifying is that they are right next door to MOMs grocery store. It makes it so much simpler to buy your healthy groceries and to also have a great nourishing and satisfying vege restaurant in a one two punch. My go to dish here is their fried shoukn mixed green and grain bowl. Oyster mushroom is my ultimate fave fungus. So whenever I go to Shouk I always prefer to order their shoukn. One thing to note and I notice that other Yelpers have pointed out and I also agree is that some of their offerings are a tad salty. For example I had a side order of falafel and I could not finish it. It l would be great if management took notice of this and remedy this issue. Other than this, everything that is on their menu is wonderful.

John B.

Yelp
It's been too long for me with Shouk. By way of excuse I might say that I've been moving around and haven't been in the District regularly since the original was senselessly ransacked (which thankfully didn't put them out of business). Or I might say that I like to try new things and I've already had basically everything on the menu. Nonetheless, this new location gave me an excuse to return. And while it was surprising at first, I expect that this is a good location for them. Next to MOM's Organic Market, I'm guessing there is a lot of overlap between the sort of person that shops there (which I do) and who eats here. And it was fairly busy on the random Sunday evening I stopped by. They have ordering by kiosk, but don't think that automation has replaced humans. As I've noted with other Shouks, there are always plenty of people working here. Still I'm not a huge kiosk fan, and I mistakenly ordered my Shouk Burger as a pita (I meant to go healthy and get it served over greens). If they could make the choice of base more obvious in the interface, I would appreciate it. But hey, at the end of the day it's still incredibly delicious. Much has been written about the Shouk Burger, and while I'm not someone who looks for veggie burgers and I'm not high on every single ingredient, the mix of flavors along with the fresh fixins is really unmissable. I added a side of harissa as well, which was just spicy enough. Restaurants that expand locations tend to experience some decline in quality (looking at you, &pizza), but at least right now the third Shouk offers the same taste I remember of the originals. It's on the pricey side, but I've never minded paying it, and I wish that food like this could be found everywhere.

Girish K.

Yelp
Excellent food but staff don't have clue what is vegan and what is not on the menu . They could do better with size if the bread but the present sickle was surely filling though. Taste was great though

Jo M.

Yelp
Happy that Shouk has opened a location in Rockville/NoBe! Got the chance to make it over to pick up lunch! Shouk burger and hummus. Got the falafel and shawarma with the hummus so I could try those to decide on what to get for the next visit! Delish burger! Love the hummus. Will be back to try other things on the menu soon! The Fried Shouk'n looks so good! If you're looking for outdoor seating, they do have a bunch of tables setup outside. Might be little chilly right now, but it's nicely spaced out. Not sure if they'll have heaters for later or not though. Download the app to order! My order was ready when I got there! Plus, points towards rewards is always a bonus!

Mary C.

Yelp
Food is delicious & I like ambiance. The staff are friendly & the service is quick. Love the casual atmosphere . I would highly recommend this vegetarian restaurant

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
We were soooo excited when Shouk opened in Rockville! We have always heard such food things about this 100% plant- based fast casual restaurant. The prices are a bit expensive for the portion size but it seems like Shouk uses great quality ingredients. The flavors are sooo good on all the dishes we tried (mushroom bowl and veggie burger bowl). I am so glad Shouk opened in moco!

Ryan H.

Yelp
I like this place and their food, but was informed today that you can't get a bowl without rice....bummer. I enjoy the greens and the toppings but would like a bowl without rice at times. This one let me down today as they informed me I can no longer order a bowl without rice. As much as I like Shouk, I will be searching for other establishments to patronize. Be aware, should you look to enjoy a bowl without the rice, you may want to consider elsewhere.

Randy L.

Yelp
I love plant based restaurants and Shouk is now a part of that list! I got the Fried Shouk'n with Harissa Mayo, the Shouk Sausage, and Spice Fries with the Shouk sauce. Needless to say they flavors were amazing. Big fan of the Fried Shouk'n and the oyster mushrooms, that alone and a side could probably be filling for some! The sausage itself was not for me, but I did enjoy the onions and cabbage that complemented its flavor. Pairing the fries with the Shouk sauce was a good choice since the fries themselves had too much seasoning for my preference. I'll have to come back to try the bowl, soups, and salads since it all looks that good!

Martine S.

Yelp
You want to experience amazing vegan food without the guilt? Then this restaurant is for you. No need to worry about saturated fat or putting on extra pounds since you've consumed meat products that is usually recommended for an entire week! Instead discover plant based love, healthy and nutritious meals that your cells, gut and digestive system will thank you for.

Judie K.

Yelp
As my parents get older, they're more aware of what they can and shouldn't eat. They're always on a lookout for more vegetarian/vegan food options, since red (and white) meats are something they cannot eat as much of anymore due to high cholesterol and high blood pressure. This runs in our family, so it's always so nice to find new restaurants and casual places that offer delicious 100% plant-based options that my parents can go out to! Excited that they opened a new restaurant in Rockville! All of us thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom shawarma bowl and shawarma hummus (their oyster mushroom shawarma are the bomb yall). Personally, I absolutely loved the fried Shouk'n bowl, which has crispy oyster mushrooms too LOL. I may not be a burger person, but my brother and husband both enjoyed their award winning Shouk burger. I also love that it's fast casual and super easy to go pick up. Def would recommend!

Philip L.

Yelp
I almost missed this place. It is right next to MOM's Organic and it is in the corner that you wouldn't expect a store to be in. There is plenty of parking nearby so you dont have to be afraid there, but I just didnt think a store would fit in the corner like that. Anyways, the inside is nice and bright. Not a lot of seating and the ordering is automated on touchscreens. The food comes until quite quickly. The food is good too, but for the price, it was a bit small for me. I finished two sandwiches in next to no time. So, to me, it is not very "bang for your buck". But, for others that do not eat like a blue whale like me, you might find this place just your style. The inside is clean as well so that is always a plus. The people here are nice and I had a good experience overall.

Yelp
I enjoyed my burger. Unfortunately the kids did not. It was an extremely expensive risk. I'll be back, without them!

Yelp
Good food and seating outside. PROS * Very consistent; been here about 10x and never any issues * Everything we've tried so far has been good * Rich flavor without tasting salted, fried, or sauce'd * Love the spicy sauce extra CONS * Parking - getting into and out of this lot (where Shouk is in the far corner) is a pain. You can't park *behind* the building according to the many posted signs. * Purchase issues - The only way to buy is via the mobile portal or their auto-terminals. So if the termals are offline (which has happened) and your phone isn't cooperating, you literally can't buy food here. Cash isn't an option.

Yelp
What a great find! Tucked away next to MOM's Market, we grabbed a takeout lunch and were blown away by this Israeli street food. The Za'atar Cauliflower comes in delicious, thick, soft, fresh pita, spread with hummus. They didn't spare the za'atar on the cauliflower and it's super tasty. There are chickpeas in there too and some veggies, and yummy sauce -- it's very delicious and satisfying. We also got the shawarma hummus bowl -- the shawarma being oyster mushrooms, not meet, on a bed of fresh arugula, on top of a large bowl of hummus. Mixed in there was a nice amount of lightly pickled cabbage and cucumber slices, just enough to give the tasty hummus just a bit of zing. Yum! (It came with a piece of that awesome pita.) We were stuffed but couldn't stop eating -- ate it all! Now we want to go back and try everything -- and get that cauliflower again and again.

Yelp
Good food, quick service, restaurant was empty. I ordered the falafel, lentil soup, and cardamom chocolate chip cookie. Each was very tasty. My bill with a bottled iced tea was $24. I ate everything and was full. Pricier, but healthier than ordinary fast food. Service was cordial, but not exactly friendly. I would definitely visit again.

Yelp
Amazing vegan food in Rockville! Their lentil soup is to die for, it's so good! I also really enjoyed their falafel bowl, which came with a lot of greens and some hummus dip. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
I'm so glad that I finally made it to this foodie destination. The ambiance of the restaurant transported me back to my experience venturing Jerusalem's food scene. The food there is award winning! I ordered the Shouk burger with spicy harissa, sweet potato fries, and shouk sauce. This veggie burger was delicious and filling. It really looks like a burger and felt more alive (less processed) from a live food perspective than other veggie burgers I've eaten. Even if the burger was dehydrated and raw I'm sure it would be good! The pita held up with all of the fresh condiments and produce. The spicy harissa packed a nice warm pinch of heat. Finally the sweet potato fries were so good. The fries tasted and looked hand-cut. The fries were crisp and dipping them into the shouk sauce was peace on earth. Treat yourself!
