Shouk

Even as a non vegan, I enjoyed the delicious food here. The place has ample seating and excellent food. The hummus is super creamy and delicious. The pita is soft and warm. The salads all yummy and healthy and the falafel crunchy and nutty.

Delicious! Tried the Shouk Sausage with house-made sausage, roasted tomato, charred onion, pickled cabbage, harissa mayo and it tasted even better than a regular animal sausage. Was able to order at a kiosk screen without any need to waiting on a cashier. Love how efficient and effective that is. The ambiance and music was delightful as well!

The shouk veggie burger was delicious, all the flavors of the veggies in there came through very strongly. The pita had a wonderful soft, almost crepe-like texture, and the shkoug sauce I added to it was also delicious (just wished I had more of it because it was pretty tiny and I ran out quickly). My girlfriend got the falafel pita and was very happy with it. She just wished it was a little cheaper given that the pitas at Falafel Inc. are pretty similar and about half the price.

Well, I can say this place certainly tastes healthy lol. I didn't care for the bread, but I know that is there traditional bread. I wish it was toasted or something. But aside from that the contents of the burger was pretty solid! I really appreciate variety here at Union Market. A solid choice for anyone looking for a healthy burger alternative.

Can't believe it's taken me so long to try this place! The Shouk burger and falafel bowl were so good especially the burger. The bowl was a little dry but easily fixable with sauce on the side. Will definitely try the mushroom shawarma next time.

Holy frick! This place is amazing! I had it one day, and cancelled fancy dinner plans the next day to come back. The fancy falafel is unreal, the pita is so soft! Best tasting falafel I have ever had (as a vegan I’ve had a lot). My non vegan friend was so impressed too!

The fried mushroom burger in pita was ok. Pita tasted good. The rice bowl was very dry, bland and the bean burger was overly dry. It was only rice and few lentils here and there. 2 pieces of onion and 2 very thin radish pieces. That's all. No sauce or gravy. Falafel is extra charge too. After charging $12 for this they want you to get the sauce separately for$4. Not worth the value. Did not like the taste as well. Falafel toooo salty. Public parking lot at the back.

In the world of semi-fast food, let’s call it quick food, Shouk is pretty legit. Incredible flavors, plentiful food and at a reasonable price. Additionally, the music was pretty badass, not your typical elevator or GooGoo Dolls bs. Instead the was a nice mix of Mid East (Israeli to Bolly) dance and R&B. Every table had board games, which we played while waiting for the meal. Recommend a mushroom dish, and add the falafel balls (they were amazing hot).
