A Comprehensive Guide to Classic Restaurants and Bars in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"My parents and I used to eat at the Showboat buffet on Boulder Highway after shopping at Gemco — both those places are now gone and their lots are just dust, but the memories of that routine stick with me." - Eater Staff

I stayed here with my family from Dec 24th- Dec 27th. And I could have spent my money elsewhere. The staff was very helpful and respectful and made my family feel very welcomed. The food is outrageously priced and not even cooked or seasoned right. I had to pay for parking 25 dollars per day. I had to pay for a microwave in our room another 25 dollars. The elevator in the Bourbon wing was shitty only 1 was working. The arcade closed at 12am 😒wack so it wasn’t nothing to do after that. The pool lmao there is no pool the water park is the pool so if you don’t have money to do to the water park you can’t go swimming. You smell the chlorine from outside and my autistic son did not want to go under the water because the water burned his eyes. The waterpark isn’t all that we had to keep getting out of the pool every 30 min if you have toddlers it’s not really much for them to do. 3 chicken tenders and fries is 16 dollars lmao crazy cause it don’t taste the good but the fries are decent. The drinks are pricey but definitely worth it because they definitely pour liquor up in there unlike the bar in the arcade poured more juice than rum in there 🙄. Overall it just wasn’t worth it for me I will not be going back

My husband and I recently stayed in the Christmas suite at the Showboat! The entire suite was so beautifully decorated that I actually felt like we were actually inside a Christmas movie! We even had a full size Christmas tree in the living room area; which also had the added addition of an ocean view! The entire hotel had such a festive feel, with endless lights and Christmas trees! Everything was clean and well maintained! I would highly recommend this suite for a couple looking to get away! However, seeing that they also have so much to offer for an entire family experience, means we will definitely be back with our kids too! The waterpark was beautiful, and we noticed that they even had a huge go cart track and arcade! I would highly recommend a stay for any family or couple looking to get away!

I recently stayed at the Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City, and while the location is convenient for families visiting the waterpark, there are several things guests should be aware of. First, parking is not included in your stay. It’s an additional $25 per night, which I didn’t expect. If you’re planning to visit the waterpark, towels are not provided, even if you’re a hotel guest. You’ll need to bring the towels from your room or pack your own. The rooms themselves are very basic. The website stated that hair dryers were included, but neither my room nor my friend’s room had one so pack your own to be safe. Another thing I wish I knew beforehand: this is a dog-friendly hotel, and you should definitely request a room away from pets. The room next to us had a dog that barked all night, which made it really hard to sleep. Overall, the hotel is only worth it for the convenience of walking to the waterpark with kids. Aside from that, there are definitely better hotels in Atlantic City with more comfort and fewer surprises. If you decide to stay here, go in prepared.

Google
I'm a frequent guest and what i have seen and experienced i believe the hotel needs different food options or the bars need menus. So we can see different types of drinks there are (make sure your bartenders check ids. This time i checked into my room i feel like it was cleaned way to fast because the vent area was very dusty and it was some spots in my shower. Like it was not properly clean. But besides that i had a great time spending time with my love one.

This hotel is amazing when it comes to aesthetics and activities for kids. They have a large indoor waterpark with a 600ft lazy river, a pool, an enormous arcade, mini golf, a roller skating rink, a spa room, a couple places to eat, a coffee/pastry bar, a boba tea spot, and a gorgeous ballroom. The downside is, nothing comes with the hotel, everything has its own fee, it costs $5 just for 1 golf ball for mini golf, so if you’re playing with several people, you’re spending way more than you should. More than half the games at the arcade were out of service, and the beds in the rooms were very hard and uncomfortable. The rooms didn’t even have microwaves and the refrigerators were small. The service? Forget it. The people there are miserable and unwelcoming and are more about business than customer service. The food isn’t good either, the breakfast buffet was all frozen food and the lunch (pizza) was bland. This is a decent hotel for kid activities and I had a very good time, but the hotel itself could use some work.

Google
The kids had a blast which is why we came so will not give it one or two stars. The restaurants were not opened the hours they should be. Also, the people who work here do not know basic information. I had to show the front desk the hours the restaurant should be open, because they did not know and their computer was so slow. Also, they do not make it clear that hotel guests should bring additional towels for the water park. The ice machines are broken. Nothing is open before 11am and kids get up early. This makes zero sense. People would 100% take their kids to the arcade in the morning, rollerskating, and mini golf. For a family place it lacks common sense design and function. The employees were friendly, but seemed like they have heard it all before. I honestly feel bad complaining to them.

My family went to Showboat for the Columbus Day weekend. Overall the property is dark and is in need of some serious renovations. The check in process was ok, but you have to pay for parking on a phone app rather than being able to pay at hotel desk. The room was very dated. The water in the bathroom wasn’t hot. Also the hotel advertised that rooms are cleaned daily however no one came to clean our room. We tried to contact front desk and couldn’t get anyone. While we were there someone was running around our floor in the middle of the night drunk. The next morning we found the guy sleeping at the elevator. Security wasn’t monitoring the floor. While this is a supposed to be a family friendly venue. I would suggest to parents like myself to monitor your kids and don’t let them roam especially at night on their own. The water park was literally the best part of our trip. But I would suggest sleeping at another property.

Google
Our room was CLEAN, fresh and stocked. EXCEPT, there are ZERO BLANKETS !!! We saw this in the reviews and used our throws which sufficed. I was fine WITHOHT the germs anyway!!! The hall had faded carpet, stains and debris!!! It did not affect us but did need lots of cleaning!!!! Our view was amazing. We stared out our window for hours. The price was awesome AND I felt comfortable. The price made everything else doable since it did not break the bank.

Yelp
We spend the weekend here and had a great time. The water park is a lot of fun we rented a cabana and it worth every penny to have a nice private area to keep our stuff and have waitress service. Showboat itself is old. And although they have revamped it to be more kid friendly it still has the old wear and tear of a casino. The room was clean but the beds are LOW to the ground and they have no box spring so you feel every bar in the bed frames. The elevators suck. Out of the 6 elevators in the Bourbon bank only 2 worked and it made getting up and down very difficult. Overall if you have kids it's a great place to have a nice few days at a water park. It's dog friendly so be prepared to see dogs of all sizes everywhere.

Yelp
I stay at this resort from October 4 until October 5 for a concert event scheduled in Atlantic City. I woke up to find a roach crawling on the wall with the TV was situated and to my right the second double bed in the room there was a roach crawling on the pillow at Madison to grab my phone and videotape it ..... This hotel is horrible they offered no alternative option I ended up getting in my vehicle at 2:05 AM sleeping in my car until the weed hours of the morning when I was able to drive back to New York State

Yelp
Answer the phone. Calling about a billing issue and no one ever answers the phone. Got a mystery charge I want to review. Additionally, my son forgot a stuffed animal in the room and it's been 2 weeks trying to get that back. Not a good experience. Very frustrated!!
google avatar

Madeline S.

Yelp
It is very outdated, unclean, poor quality food, unsanitary. I came for the weekend with my family and was astonished by how rude the staff was and how inedible the food was. It's all glamour when you pull up, but if you take two seconds further to look, the cracks show.

Yelp
The hotel itself is not very nice, but the water park was lots of fun. The hotel is outdated and is pretty dirty. Shower got clogged and there's a door opening to a wall? Rubbed the roof for a little and crumbs started to fall. The water park on the other hand, was very fun with lots of cool slides to go to.

Yelp
This is definitely the dirtiest hotel I have ever been to . The best and mattresses were also the worst I ever slept on horrible back pain after . Thin and uncomfortable!! If you come here it should only be to use the water park and to just leave and go home after . The gym is dirty, the floors in the hallways are first !! Not one microwave in the whole hotel. Pool and jacuzzi out of order and being fixed. Only one restaurant on premises and closed until 11am so can't hear anything up there either, or can't eat breakfast . Would never come back here again !!!

Yelp
Outdated Beds are very uncomfortable No blankets, rugs are so old and dingy and stained as well as drapes. Walls are cracked and stained and dirty Amenities are wonderful for children's and family activity from what we saw. Accommodations need work. Decorations for Christmas are coming along nicely but would recommend updating rooms and comfort for stay.

Amanda L.

Yelp
I'm extremely disappointed with our stay. We booked this trip as a special family getaway after receiving free veterans tickets to Disney on Ice, and we were really looking forward to making good memories with our kids. Unfortunately, the experience at this hotel was the opposite. When we arrived, we found a roach in our room (which my husband killed), and the toilet seat was broken. Those issues alone were frustrating, but later that night we were woken up by extremely loud noises from the adjoining room -- the guests were clearly having sex, and it was loud enough that our 2- and 6-year-old children woke up. It was incredibly uncomfortable and completely inappropriate for a family stay. We were unable to switch rooms at the time, so we had no choice but to deal with the situation overnight. I emailed management afterward to give them an opportunity to address or explain what happened, but it has now been a week with no response. Being ignored after such an uncomfortable experience only adds to the disappointment. For a hotel marketed as family-friendly, this stay was stressful and upsetting. I hope management takes these issues seriously and improves cleanliness, maintenance, and responsiveness for future guests.

Yelp
Upon checking in on 10/31/2025 around 4pm. I was traveling with my two dogs and my partner. I chose this hotel because I saw that it was kid and dog friendly. I provided my service dog documents to the women, she then asked me what service do they provide. Which I thought was very personal and rude. I then asked was the question necessary, she then replied and said they are required to ask. It was very embarrassing and humiliating. Other than that the hotel was nice clean and comfortable.

Yelp
So many negative reviews. I am happy to say my experience was much better! I went for Peach at the Beach, a music festival outside the Waterpark. I wanted to stay near the venue so I had easy access to my room. I looked at a few other hotels nearby but ultimately went with the Showboat and have no regrets. Originally I was going to stay Saturday night, but the weekend rate is high and Sunday was a bargain so o decided to stay both nights. Self park is $30 a night, and I found it convenient. Got a good spot near the elevator and you pay via an app or website on your phone. It did seem like a long walk from the garage to the front desk, but the hotel is spread out. You can always valet for a few bucks more if you want the convenience. Check in is at 4 and normally you can get in early but no luck. They told me to check back between 3:30-4:00. They offered to hold my luggage but I just put it back in my car and went to check out the bands playing. My ticket included waterpark access and I had to check in at the waterpark reception area in the hotel. They gave me a wristband which got me into the waterpark for the day and the concert area. Walking to the concert area you got quite an idea of how kid and dog friendly this hotel is. We saw numerous dogs and far more kids. They have a lot of activities for the kids including indoor roller skating, go karts, mini golf, and a huge "arcade" where you can play games of chance to win tickets which you can turn in for poorly made stuffed animals and the like. I went back to the desk between sets around 5:00 and my room was ready. They put me in the Bourbon tower which has been recently renovated. No more carpet in the room, a nice laminate floor instead. The room was no frills but clean. Smart TV, couch, queen bed, and a desk. Plenty of outlets and some built in USB ports for charging. A lot of noise comes in from under the door so I played a towel there and it helped quite a bit, but I still played white noise through my iPad. I walked through the waterpark, lots of kids and families, fully enclosed and temperature controlled, it seemed nice but not as big or as many features as I expected. I enjoyed the concert area, but wow it was tough funneling everyone out afterward. I ate at Bricker Burger which is in the lobby near the entrance to the boardwalk. The burger was good but pricey. Servers were a bit curt and the food took a while. I understand they also get busy at the end of the day when families are leaving the waterpark. Sat at the ACE (Atlantic City Eatery) bar for the Euro final, the bartender was great but I forget her name. It was fun watching with other guests of the hotel. Actually watched the Copa final on the 110" projections TVs in the lobby later that night. Some negatives. Noisy, lots of kids running around, at night there were lines to get to the elevators, and it is a lot of walking, but I expect this when I'm at the boardwalk. All the staff I interacted with were nice, the room was clean, parking easy, I enjoyed my stay and would go back if there is another music festival there.

Yelp
The glitzy glamours of Atlantic City is now the sign of the past. Showboat Atlantic City was once a bustling casino with lots of shows and attractions, now mainly a Children's arcade with a water park. What was the casino slots and gambling section is now converted to the Lucky Snake arcade with lots of claw and pinball machines. There's even a Go-Kart track at the center of the arcade; the other side has mini-golf and a small roller rink. Showboat is now a small oasis for the kiddos. Island Water park is also located within the resort; this requires a separate admission charge. The flooring and carpet are a bit dated, maybe a little renovation might give a little lift; the Self parking (pay with QR code), was a bit confusing with the online app. Once entering the lobby from the elevator there was that stench of weed smoke (not so family friendly)

Yelp
ATLANTIC CITY: Showboat Hotel Atlantic City is the only hotel on the AC boardwalk to allow pets and there is no weight limit! 2 dogs are allowed per room and there is a $100 charge for the length of stay, so all the more reason to extend your vacation a few more days. Upon arrival at check-in, fill out a waiver and enjoy having your dog with you on your getaway. If you need to leave your pup in the room, they must be crated. When it's time for a bathroom break, there is a doggie area outside the street entrance and you can walk around the block with plenty of grass and spots to sniff. The Absecon lighthouse is a 10 minute walk and the property is dog friendly! Showboat is a reasonably priced hotel with a lot of updated guest rooms, so be sure to ask for one when booking. It is a hotel in transition with the introduction of Lucky Snake Arcade a few years ago and now the water park, but it still has a ways to go regarding amenities and staffing. Being right on the boardwalk with ocean views, dogs are allowed in the lobby, arcade, bars, the two restaurants, it is perfect for the right person and pup. Our guest room was very comfortable and had a beachy theme. This hotel does not have a casino and is geared more towards a family-friendly experience. As a reminder, here are the rules for the AC beach and boardwalk: "Dogs prohibited between Memorial Day and September 15th."

Yelp
I love this place again not for the rooms but for the Arcade located downstairs. Now I also love the Waterpark that was recently opened. I came on Monday once school started so my experience was I got to enjoy the park basically empty. Which as an adult kid free experience was everything. I purchased my tickets online with a promo code so it was a great discount. With all the new renovations to the Arcade and Waterpark the Lobby of Showboat is becoming the best hangout while in Atlantic City. They now have roller skating, bowling, go karts, wide variety of games from old school to new. Great Groupon deals for this place!!

Yelp
As an individual that works from home, I rely on Wi-Fi for work. The Wi-Fi been down my entire time. Of my day.Stay.. 2. How is it that you guys ice machine is broke on every single floor that's unacceptable in this type of conditions being that it's almost 90° outside 3. The unprofessionalism in your staff is unacceptable. It shouldn't take 10 hours to get in contact with the front desk and still have to come downstairs. .

Yelp
We stayed at Showboat the weekend of Father's Day, June 2025. The hotel check in went quickly. I had made a reservation online for the water park package, high floor, ocean view but never received a email confirmation. I called reservations to confirm but was told there was no reservation. I made another reservation online and went to check in. Front desk said I had two rooms. They cancelled the second room. I asked about my water park passes and I was told I didn't have any. Next day, went to buy tickets and I was told I had two tickets for Friday and Two for Saturday. This meant I lost two tickets I purchased because I was told I didn't have them. I was told they would speak to their manager but I received no communication and no clue what was happening. Security was lacking. We had issues with a group of teenage girls harassing us and didn't feel like it was handled well. Staff at the front acted unfazed and offered no deescalation or support. The only staffer that was helpful was a security guard named, Garcia. I was genuinely scared and felt uncomfortable at the resort. Garcia recommended we have our room switched to another tower. She escorted me to my room to get my belongings and my family and brought us to the other room. The room was on the 10th floor, about a 10 minute walk to the boardwalk. Not what I paid for. I was penalized for Showboat's lack of security and order on their property. For such a large, youth centric facility, they had alarmingly few security guards posted and they did seem overwhelmed. The next morning, I went down to speak with front desk first thing to discuss the room I was moved to and the rate I paid. The manager didn't even keep eye contact with me. She glanced at me and then just looked down at her computer and acted completely uninterested. The response was, I'll issue a refund. No clue how much? No clue how she calculated this. She signaled the conversation was over by saying sorry for the inconvenience and continued working. I felt so dismissed and embarrassed like I did something wrong. I grabbed my family and got out of there within the hour. While the hotel is on the boardwalk, I wouldn't return. The property is arcade and waterpark only. Knowing the lack of security and care at this property was alarming and I will never return to Showboat. If I am reserving a vacation location, I want to know my family is safe. This is not the case at Showboat. Today is the Monday after Father's Day. Starting at 8:30am, I called the front desk to speak with the GM. I continued calling about every 30-1hr until 5pm. At no point throughout the day did anyone at the front desk answer the phone. The rooms are also very dated and frankly unsafe. The bed-frames are dated and not correctly aligned. I sliced the side of my ankle open on a metal piece that was sticking out about 5 inches from the mattress toward the foot of the bed. The air circulation/ac is not good. The rooms in both towers were very humid. Overall, I wouldn't return to Showboat. Their rates aren't significantly better than any other resort on the AC boardwalk. Perhaps because there isn't gambling, they don't feel they need much security. You get groups of kids roaming around your resort, unsupervised, doing whatever they want, barely challenged, you breed a dangerous situation waiting to happen. I visit AC with my family. If a property is dismissive when guests are looking for genuine help and their target demographic is children and families, would you really trust the safety of your children there? I will never return.

Yelp
The bathroom floor and tub have hair all over. I just cloroxed the toilet with wipes because there was hair and crud on the back and underneath the toilet seat. I had to spray the pillows with Lysol and beat them because it had some black crud of some sort on them. Unacceptable after spending money while hoping for a clean and comfortable place to lay your head for the weekend. Update: Just got back in...the room has not been cleaned after requesting...the hair is still in the tub...I got ready to shower and there's no wash cloths. Only hand towels and drying towels.

Rel M.

Yelp
When my wife and I saw the pictures of the hotel, we decided to book a room there for our honeymoon. When we arrived and got our room, we walked inside and immediately noticed it was not clean. There were hair clippings on the pillow and pillowcases on the counter--it looked like a barbershop convention had been held in there. The toilet seat had been painted instead of replaced, and the paint was peeling off. The shower head was covered in calcium buildup. Housekeeping didn't supply any wash rags. On top of that, the noise from other guests was terrible, with kids screaming in the halls and in the rooms. You would expect that someone driving from another state to stay at a place like this would have a great experience, but ours was very disappointing.

Yelp
This place is a nightmare. Got to the hotel first room had flys coming out of the sinks. They moved us. Second room was still gross but no flies. No e of the ice machines worked & over 50% of the arcade games were out of order. We never got towels because nobody would ever answer the phone yet when you go to the desk there are like 6 workers there. Woke up to my grandson itching found bugs in the bed. Went ti front desk to ask for a refund since we couldn't sleep there. They say only management can assist in that but management was never there. I disputed this with my bank I now need the & to pay for the hepatitis I probably caught from this trashy place. The only reason for 1 star was the water park was nice. How is this place still open? I feel like it is equivalent to the Cecil Hotel maybe even worse.

Jesse H.

Yelp
we got a 4 bedroom. the whole place was DISGUSTING. Between stains on the wall, fresh paint that was uneven. holes in the roof, wall. Just overall gross.

Yelp
I recently stayed at the Showboat Casino and Water Park, and my experience was a mixed bag. On the positive side, the water park was a lot of fun and a great way to spend a day, especially if you're traveling with family. The casino floor had a decent variety of games, and the atmosphere was lively. However, there were some significant downsides. The outside area felt unsafe, especially at night, as it seemed poorly lit and not well-monitored. It was concerning to see a mix of hotel guests and residents, which gave the place a different vibe than I expected from a resort. Additionally, the elevators were a major hassle during peak hours. We found ourselves waiting in long lines, which was frustrating and took away from our overall enjoyment. Next was the room. It was a really good size for a family of four two adults and two boys. But the pullout sofa was HORRIBLE! It was like laying on a demo springless mattress. Basically don't sleep on the pullout sofa. The king size bed was good. The bathroom was spacious but didn't really have any flow with the rooms decor. Also just keep in mind you are getting the bare minimum. The water park is big and spacious but just beware they don't accept cash, the seats with tables and chairs fill up fast on Saturday and Sunday. My biggest issue was that there were people fully clothed in a water park filled with children. At one point there was a male standing by my table fully clothed adjusting his private because of the ****on he had. It was very disgusting and disturbing. With major improvements, proper security and staff education this could be a much better destination, but as it stands, I would rate it as average.

Jaime S.

Yelp
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms were dirty and need to be updated. The beds are so low to the ground and completely uncomfortable. The customer service is nonexistent. Try to go anywhere other than here!
google avatar

Debbie L.

Yelp
Try replacing the wear and tear rugs in the lobby. Edges are taped down which is ridiculous. The rooms need serious updating, not 1 USB port, outlets are loose, outdated furniture. We landed in this hotel, because my sister in law chose it. It came to my surprise that it was a kid friendly hotel, I guess she didn't really read the fine print. Let's just say will not be returning. It should advertise it as a kid friendly and non-gramblers hotel
google avatar

Robert W.

Yelp
I love that they are pet friendly hotel now. But I think they should have thought about it, having carpet was not great idea since dogs have accidents. The rooms are standard and need some updates. The rooms are not the best and cleanish. If your pet friendly hotels you need to have place where pets can go to the bathroom. I think it great that you have pop bag dispensers but you need few more. This is the only dog friendly hotel in Atlantic City, I think it great. They could really take advantage of that. There also no place to board your dog in Atlantic City, so this great. The staff were super nice when we checked in. There security guards all over the place, I think it great. I do think they need more cleaning people walking around since it is dog friendly place. I think if they few those few problems, this hotel is on the right track.

Dennis

Yelp
You would have a better experience at a random motel along the highway than Showboat. The decor is falling apart despite "renovations" happening. The security is non-existent. The rooms and hallways feel like you're in a horror movie. There are no plugs that work in your rooms. Even if you use Showboat to just sleep and visit other places, even then, I would still recommend a random hotel off the boardwalk. You'd at least have some amenities. I've never been SO happy to come back home from a mini-trip in my life. My friends and I were really contemplating leaving our first night.

Yelp
What to say? The Good. Room was clean and quiet in the New Orleans Tower. The Bad. One elevator working in this tower. 15 floors in this tower. Very dangerous. Long lines to check in. Long lines to get on the elevator. Self park at the casino...$25.00/night The Ugly. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Hotel was disgusting-smelled like cigarettes, cigars, wet dog and funk. Bed sheets were dirty, remote was sticky. I drove 2hrs home after the waterpark because we were so grossed out by the room with 3 very disappointed children. Front desk people were not helpful or kind. I asked if we could pre-check in at 11 when we got there-said nope. I waited over an hour to check in. NO one answers the front desk. Called before coming and rang for over 20 mins (called twice). Elevator got stuck on a floor for a few minutes-no air flow in elevator and every one freaked out. Thank god the waterpark was fun-but that hotel needs a lot of updating-physically and electronically.

Yelp
We booked showboat because we wanted to take advantage of all the kid activities. They have the indoor water park, arcade, roller skating, mini golf, and more. Valet parking was $32 per night. They have an app where you can request your car. Check in was smooth and fast. The room unfortunately was extremely outdated. The beds only had 2 pillows each (the hotels I've stayed at recently all provide 4 per bed). We went from Sunday-Tuesday during low season but I would not pay full price during high season for these rooms in the summer. My biggest issue was the outlets. There weren't many to begin with. The few we had did not keep our stuff plugged in. Our wall adapters would be hanging and we'd have to be extremely careful otherwise the plug will fall. We had our kids with us so it was kind of difficult. If you even breathe in the direction of the wall plug it would fall out. It was extremely frustrating that all plugs were hanging out of the socket. So aside from barely having outlets, the ones we had barely worked. Our beds didn't have fitted sheets which I found really odd. I thought maybe it was forgotten on one bed but I checked both and neither had fitted sheets. That was annoying being that any movement would move the sheets right off. One of the days, housekeeping was going down the hall knocking on everyone's door to check if the doors were closing properly. We opened and they asked us to shut our door and then they confirmed that the door worked. This was concerning being that we had kids with us so I am glad ours worked. I also noticed groups of teens being rowdy and knocking on random doors as pranks then they'd run to the staircase. Nothing that can be controlled here but because of the activities for younger ones, it's expected to deal with children and childish behaviors although it was still annoying. We enjoyed the activities within the hotel but will not be returning to stay at the hotel. We'd rather stay elsewhere and just travel to Showboat for the activities.

Yelp
This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Read the reviews! Everyone has similar experience. Don't be fooled by their " construction " they have going on. Construction has nothing to do with cleaning! Going to the water park? Bring a water tester with you. Check chlorine levels and ph... make sure your family is safe ... The hotel stinks , it has dogs in and out of it so if you are a pet owner this hotel is for you. All together... dusty, dirty, and old hotel. I feel this hotel scammed me. They took my money and I feel I got nothing!

Yelp
This Place Gets Worse Every Year - Straight Up Disgusting Let me be as clear as possible: DO NOT STAY HERE. I've been coming to this hotel with my family for the last four years, and each year it gets nastier, dirtier, and more disappointing. This time? I'm done for good. We paid for our room a YEAR in advance, and still had to wait until 4PM to check in. No apology, no care -- just a tired attitude from the front desk. The moment we walked into the room, I wanted to walk right back out. It was straight-up filthy. Dust everywhere, dirt caked into the corners, mold in the bathroom, and a stale, sour smell hanging in the air. The bed? Nasty. Stained sheets, questionable hairs, and I'm pretty sure bed bugs. The blanket was so disgusting I refused to touch it, let alone sleep under it. There is no room service -- no one came to clean, check on us, or offer even basic service. Towels smelled horrible, and I wouldn't wish that shower on anyone. You'd think after paying in advance they'd treat you better -- nope. And don't even think about using the ice machine. The one on our floor didn't work, and the other one? Covered in throw up -- and it stayed that way the entire three days we were there. No one cleaned it. No one cared. That alone should've been the end of it. The elevators were terrifying, like something out of a horror movie -- shaking, making loud noises, and jerking like they were going to snap. I held my breath every time I stepped in. And the pool? Ghetto, overcrowded, and smelled like a mix of sweat, pee, and disappointment. There were so many people packed in there the water literally changed color. Disgusting. I don't even know what chemicals could fix that mess. The only halfway decent thing was the arcade -- and that's saying something. They say, "you get what you pay for" -- well I PAID, and what I got was some straight bullsh*t. There's no excuse for how nasty and neglected this hotel has become. Doesn't matter how long you've been coming, how much money you spend, or how early you book -- they don't care. This place is trash. Unsafe. Unsanitary. Unprofessional. The only thing this hotel has going for it is that it's on the boardwalk -- and that is NOT enough to deal with this level of disgusting. Next year we're staying somewhere else. Never again. I'm done. Save your money, save your family the headache, and STAY FAR AWAY from this hotel. You've been warned.

Yelp
Only saving grace is that this hotel is pet friendly (although has a $100 fee per pet which really isn't worth it). The hotel itself is pretty unkept. The rooms smell like smoke and had dirty carpet. The beds were squeaky and the mattresses were noticeably old. No microwave in the premises fyi. There's a self park garage that connects to the hotel which is a positive. Hotel staff were nice but the front desk staff were a little rude when we inquired about certain things. Absolutely not interested in coming back to this place

Yelp
Well since there is no page specifically for the somewhat new apartment units they've been integrating I guess I have to review here.. First off Shaun is the woman you need to speak to you'll likely hear from her anyways if you make contact but she's great we took a tour and just walking around all kinds of people recognized her and said hi and she remembered peoples names... Now to the details: The apartments are newly renovated very nice modern look and specifically the one bedroom u it's you get 2 full bathrooms! The rent includes all utilities as well as basic internet, I opted for the higher floor for a better view and am waiting till December bc to me the view is worth it..the room cleaning service as listed on apartment search pages is no longer available but you do get a discount at the new largest indoor water park from 50 to 20 bucks..there's a dedicated gym, supposed room discounts for friends to stay in as well as a 5 dollar fee for parking which is much cheaper than standard fees..they used to have perks with the in house restaraunts but that has also been removed and if I remember correctly it's still being considered as they replace most of the restaraunts in the casino..keep this in mind there are very very poor eating establishments here mostly fast food as you pass by the abandoned fine or casual dining restaraunts from some years ago which is likely the only downside. It's wasted space so I'm confident they will open new places moving forward. You can have dogs hit some breeds are excluded, there's a very cool adult indoor go cart race track , an almost equivalent game arcade to save and busters, mini golf, mini bowling, and a room full of classic pinball machines. I'm very happy to have picked this as my future home and hope to see more inclusive perks again as time goes by. When you exit the building you are directly on the boardwalk and right in front of the beach access point...please ask for Shaun and definitely consider this place..last piece of advice consider that in Atlantic City there aren't many grocery store options of any except for local market type places. I've found that there's an acme in I think ventnor as well as a price club just outside the city...

Yelp
I stayed one night at this hotel and will never stay in this run down crappy hotel again and when I went to leave and pay for my parking there was a violation noticed on my windshield with a $78 fine for what should have been $25 parking fee. Save your time and money and stay at a real hotel.

Yelp
It's basic. You get what you pay for. It's family friendly in that there is no bar or casino. Just arcade games. Great access to the beach. I'd stay here again.

Yelp
Where to start? I could look past the check-in line that was literally 150 people deep and only 3 people working the desk. I could look past the fact that this place resembles those abandoned buildings that are photographed by hobbyists. I could also look past the fact that every inch of this place smells like skunk. What I can't look past is: 1. No mattress pads. I had to sleep on a mattress that I could physically see through the thin sheet covering in. 2. The pillow was flat. Like a pancake. So gross. 3. Horribly stained carpeting. Murders? Pet accidents? We'll never know. 3. Wildly crowded waterpark with seemingly no crowd management. The park was untenable and we finally left but walked out to a line that easily was 300+ people long. The good: The arcade was fun. The Ocean Hotel next door had some great restaurants.

Yelp
This place is terrible. Customer service is terrible. The places is disgusting and rundown. It's a Kalahari knock off. They charge you full price to go into the waterpark, even though I was fully clothed and had no intention of touching the water which is $50 no matter what time you get there even if there's two hours left, they still charge a full price. Everything is way overpriced here. The lines to check in were crazy long. I stood in line for half hour just to check in to my room with two attendance at the desk for a giant line. Not worth the trip and will never be back. Was only here for a dance competition.

Yelp
This place is a disaster. Dirty isn't the right word. Elevators don't work properly. Three people working check in with a hundred waiting. Air conditioning warm in the room. Valet waits are insane. WEED SMELL EVERYWHERE!!! Stay away from this place. Waste of money risk factor 1,000,000 out of 10.

Yelp
I wasn't very impressed with their New Year's Eve party. It was advertised as having six rooms so we were expecting different DJs and themes in each room. However, there was really only one main space for dancing, with a few lackluster offshoot rooms with karaoke and some seating. The floor of the main dance hall was filthy and wet. They ran out of soda water for drinks. They said "light snacks" would be served but all we saw were half eaten soft pretzels in cardboard boxes. On the positive side, service at all of the bars was quite speedy. They had a balcony open with a lovely view of the ferris wheel and beach. Overall, it was a disappointment, but we did our best to make the most of it.

Kathy G.

Yelp
Very disappointed. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. We booked an ocean suite with a balcony, paid approximately $1,800 for 3 nights. We didn't know they didn't have a casino, our bad. The place is apparently geared for families with children. I could live with that but what was horrible was the thick stench of marijuana throughout the hotel. I felt bad for the kids, I would never bring my grandchildren there for that alone. For kids it all sounds great But when we asked several families, at least 5 different families, how the waterpark was all said that it was a complete rip off. Besides that, the room phone didn't work, the Wifi didn't work and the restaurants were terrible. The room was not clean. No one followed up to even fix the problems we addresse. The one positive was that the valet service was very good. The staff who provided that service were very nice.

Yelp
By far the most disgusting and worst hotel, I've ever stayed at. I am ashamed, as a mother, to have allowed my family to stay here. I placed an Instacart order for air mattresses and linens after the first night and no response from management for new beds. Please don't stay here. Visit but don't stay here

Yelp
It's noisy people let they kids run up and down the hallways I couldn't sleep my room was cold when I call from my room to the front desk no one ever answered the phone the WiFi was terrible I went to the front desk told them what was going on about everything they never took care of the situation they was supposed to call me they never did I ask them to change my room that didn't happen either I stayed for 3 nights and kids r still in the hallway I can't wait to leave

Yelp
This is definitely the cleanest hotel I've ever been to. the best and mattresses were also the best I ever slept on, no back pain when sleeping. Thick and comfortable! If you come here it should not only be to use the waterpark. IT. WAS. A. BLASSTTTT!! the gym is clean, the floors in the hallway are clean too! pool and jacuzzi are great! Would always come back here again !!!

Yelp
Been here less than 24 hrs and 3 people including myself are looking for missing items. one guy missing 2 pendants off his chain . They are definitely robbing customers (housekeeping) stay on point if you have to stay here. An officer confirmed when I said something shaky happening here. 3 cop calls in 4 hrs is insane

Yelp
I rented a unit here and it was unacceptable. The unit was so far from the parking area and the unit smelled liked smoke. My elderly father was with me and it was next to impossible to get anywhere. It was loud and like a three ring circus. There were no restaurants available except one that was very far. I left the next day. If you are young with no disabilities this may work for you. Otherwise, save your money.

Yelp
Terrible! On first look, the hotel looks amazing, but! The customer service here is abysmal. It was all good the first day but when I went out the second day and came back my room was not cleaned at all. I had gone to the water park and did not have any soap to wash off the chlorine. Waiting in line is also a pain. The staff at the front desk seem like they hate their jobs and don't want to help. The cleaning people also don't evens speak English so they can't even help. If it wasn't for the water park being here, I would never book this hotel. And now that I'm more familiar with Atlantic City, I know there are better hotels close by so I will consider those instead.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE ! It is 100% not worth the money. everyone's check out time is at the same time which only leads to packed elevators and forced to take weird detours we stood on the 8th floor and if you ever have to take the steps which you will have to during check out it's weird scary detour that leads you to dirty staircases I never been in a hotel where I had to do this ! THE HOTEL ROOMS look nice but the beds are uncomfortable hard as a rock not worth the money at all im so turned off

Sukiinay W.

Yelp
This place was a disgrace. The cozy suites was not so cozy more like a night mare. The walls was peeling and cracking. They didn't have room service or housekeepers that cleaned every day. if you wanted a mid-stay clean as they call it you would have to pay for it over $100. No garbage can pales in the room only a tiny garbage in the bathroom. Dogs barking all night after they make you sign a waiver about no loud noise. No clean towels and rags, false advertisements, no buffet or restaurants except one and the food there wasn't so great. only thing nice was the water park and arcade. Room Outdated and my ocean front view was not ocean front I only see garage parking and buildings as my view

Yelp
I wish I could give this hotel zero stars but unfortunately I can't starting off it is a pet friendly hotel with numerous amount of stains on the carpet in the room and in the hallways also someone had pulled the fire alarm around 5:00 a.m. how to take the stairs from the 16th floor down and also went off at 7:30 a.m. went to the security guards and also the front desk they had informed me they had to wait for the fire department to turn it off and it's been a whole hour and the fire alarm is still going off in my room the only good thing about the hotel are the video games for the kids and the water park and the go-karts are okay and also if you were thinking about bringing your kids to stay at this hotel you have another thing coming
