"SOUTH LOOP— Showroom Food Hall will be the new dining option inside the Marriott Marquis Chicago, 2121 S. Prairie Avenue, on August 18. Unlike other food halls, these vendors aren’t known brands; they’re either newcomers or restaurants made up by Marriott. Here’s the list: Revolution Coffee Counter, Argosy Soup & Sandwich, Hot Licks (specializing in potatoes; akin to One Potato Two Potato), Winger Warrior (wood-fired pies, chicken wings), and Nomad Beer & Wine (cocktails, draft beer, wine)." - Ashok Selvam

I was visiting for a conference at the hotel with thousands of attendees and few places to eat. This food court was quite understaffed for the number of people trying to get food. One place wasn’t even open. The food was ok. I tried the tacos from the “Argosy” retro airstream turned into a food truck and they were good though overpriced. The pizza corner was also overpriced with not great quality pizza. Warning if you have a conference here: pack a lunch.

Empty when I walked in. Within minutes 5-10 people walked in. It looked like there were only 3 people working, so they got busy quickly. There are several stations with different food. Only 2 were open, so I got a pizza. There's probably better pizza within a block or 2, but I was working and didn't want to go far. Surprisingly the pizza was good. They have a "wood burning" oven, although I don't think it's really wood. So, at least for the pizza it's good, and at $14 it was less expensive than the other place in the hotel. There I got a caprese sandwich that was rather small and a can of bubly for around $25.

Woven + Bound is insane in the mornings if there’s a conference happening. Recommend this spot for a quick coffee and pastry to get your day going and get out the door.

This is located in a Marriott in Chicago. It is a wonderful set up of food, bar, board games and just a wonderful atmosphere. My only complaint is they close too early. On a Saturday night, they closed up at 10pm! We were there for a wedding and were having an after party at this Marriott. All of the out of town guests were staying there and we were all disappointed. There is a mock wood fired pizza oven and their pizza is delicious. It would get a 5 star if their hours were better.

Create your own burrito bowl. Many foods to choose from.

Google
Good food, with Hotel prices, pizza, wings, tacos, etc. I ate the pizza, and wings, the wings were hot and sweet, good flavor. The pizza was great and kept me out of the snow, so there's that!!

Google
Very cool concept - a sort of adult food court, but pretty dead and just a few staff run around to serve the different stations. Also WAY more expensive than the photo of the 2020 menu.

Google
Great service. Highly recommend the spinach artichoke dip and Bavarian pretzels!

Yelp
Let's face it...finding good food within walking distance of McCormick Place can be a challenge. Because of that, Showroom Food Hall give off major, "any port in a storm" vibes. Located in the Marriott Marquis, they serve ok food at higher than ok prices because they can. I got tacos from the taco trailer. They were ok...but $38 for 3 tacos w/ rice and beans, some chips and a couple beverages is steep...thank goodness for expense accounts. If you have time to Uber to a better restaurant...do it

Yelp
Might be the worse pizza I ever had maybe frozen microwave pizza might be a contender for the best pizza. Although the service was amazing

Yelp
I recently stayed at the Marriott for 5 days while attending the Inspired Home Show. Unfortunately, there are not many restaurants within walking distance so I had no choice but getting food from the uninspiring Food Hall at the hotel. My first meal was a pre-packaged Cesar salad- a very generous portion at only $10 but it lacked flavor and it was sprinkled with way too much cheese, so it was underwhelming. In the evening, I ordered chicken wings ($16 for 8 pieces): they were big but soggy and unflavorful. I really wish that the Marriott Marquis could improve the quality of their food offerings in the food hall.

Yelp
Cute idea. They sell this as a pop up venue but all stalls were staffed with Marriott employees. The coffee and bakery cafe was efficient and fast in the AM. The yogurt parfaits are good (using unsweetened yogurt--my preference) and the cheddar and bacon scone is delicious (but get it heated). I thought Nomad would be hoppin' around 5:30 p.m. on an evening that the hotel was hosting a large conference. Not really. :( The baked potato bar (Hot Licks) smelled delicious. I loved the old service manuals and mini-hubcaps that decorated the space.

Yelp
Great experience. Many options. Food hit the spot. Prices all over the place. Bring your wallet. All in all a different experience and worth trying at least once

Debbie F.

Yelp
I loved the cute food hall at the Marriott. The choices available were great. First stop we grabbed baked potatoes at Hot Licks and than we had pizza and wings from the winged warrior. I was amazed at the great prices and would highly recommend this hideaway.

Yelp
I read through some of the reviews and most of them are from a couple years ago. It seems like in the post-pandemic world they've come up with a new business model: freezer food sold for insanely high prices. Chicken wings were passable - 10 wings for $16. Salad was edible (but croutons were unpleasantly soft) for $10 -- all salads are premade. Chicken pho tasted like unsalted broth from a can. $17. Sodas were $4-5. I know this is generally what to expect from a hotel venue but the positive reviews fooled me.

Yelp
The cooks were super friendly and made the best pepperoni oven baked pizza yet! The bartenders also make an incredible Old Fashioned! Extra cherries!

Yelp
Looking for a place to hide? Are you on the near south side? A part of the Marriott Marquis with it's own entrance on 21st. you'll find a mini food hall. This place has all you need, soup, build your own baked potatoes, sandwiches, chicken, salads, pizza, etc. Little word games and tic tac toe on the tables for amusement and a few tables outside. A nice stop if you're staying at the hotel or a trade show at McCormick Pl. or as in my case someone that lives nearby and needs a no hassle bite. Everyone also was friendly and all the tables were picked up and clean.

Rob C.

Yelp
quick lunch spot to get away from mccormick. reasonable pizza and few other fast takeaways

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
This place is bad. The food is literally terrible. Kraft dressing and horrible pizza. Pizza! How can you screw up pizza....The worst Chicago experience ever. Never again.

Rebecca S.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that the staff is AMAZING. Super friendly, inviting, and helpful! I ate at the ramen/pho place and was extremely disappointed at the lack of flavor despite the delicious smell. I eventually succumbed to using way too much sriracha (which by the way the packets were sticky and gross.) The bar was nice and the options were awesome but the food was super expensive and not worth the price.

Craig S.

Yelp
Staying at the Marriott, I was pleasantly surprised that the showroom food hall has a pizza place with a proper pizza oven... they fed me 4 of 7 nights. Get a Pepperoni pizza and add Italian fennel sausage... ask for Ray!

Gemma M.

Yelp
This is such an asset and hidden gem in the neighborhood. The staff are fantastic and very friendly. The vibe is chill and well decorated. There are many food options ranging in price, a bar with various drinks and a coffee shop. There are even board games to play! There are spacious tables and little nooks to study, have a conversation with a friend or enjoy your food. Andrew McGeogh is one of the managers and does a stellar job at overseeing and interacting with guests. I can't speak highly enough of this establishment and am so grateful that it's in the neighborhood! Stop in and you won't be disappointed.

Charlie E.

Yelp
Only a small handful of food choices. Not really a good hall at all. Need more restaurants to choose from.

Jen C.

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect here, but I wasn't disappointed. Great for groups that can't decide on one place for lunch. I went for a baked potato and certainly got my money's worth. You can't go wrong with a classic like butter, bacon, and sour cream but they also offered all sorts of toppings for those that think a little more outside the box than I do.

Yelp
Before the pandemic this place had awesome pizza that were made fresh... really good thin crust and high quality ingredients that tasted great! They recently opened after the pandemic shutdown and it didn't start off well.. it's reheated digiorno pizza literally... very disappointing... hope they go back to making there own pizza because what they have now is awful.

Jessica L.

Yelp
One star for the salmon sandwich at the argosy food truck thing in the back. I mean I understand that not every place is going to have bagels that taste like those in NY but this one tasted like thick bread someone shaped into a bagel. Pretty sure the salmon was not fresh smoked salmon. It was completely pink like it had been cooked all the way through and had a slightly fishy taste like it came out of a can. Where the cucumber was on the sandwich I don't know. I didn't even finish one half of it. The sandwiches are all premade and brought in from somewhere. My husband ate at the pizza place and he said it was pretty good. It also looked like they made fresh salads and cheese plates. There is also a potato bar in this food court that wasn't opened so I would probably give it another try and just eat somewhere else within the food hall. I will update my review if I do

Yelp
We ordered drinks while we waited for our pizza. The bartender did an excellent job making our drinks just the way we requested. Our freshly made pizza was delicious. We were pleased with the price, quality and the convenience of this option within the hotel.

Mifimi C.

Yelp
Great place to hang out. Prices r reasonable, great for light lunch. $4 slice of pizza, $5 loaded baked potatoes. Will be going bk. I got the pho show sandwich. Best pork belly sandwich I ever had. Hubby had the chicken noodle soup. He said it was good.

Jeri S.

Yelp
I had the tacos. I tried 3 different ones and they all were fabulous. I ordered a margarita next and it great too. I would recommend checking this place out.

Yelp
Got there around 8pm. Got pizza slices and a salad. The slices were rock hard and the salad was not fresh and tasted as such. Disgraceful excuse for a food option at an apparently fancy hotel.

Samantha G.

Yelp
Can't recommend the wings enough. The grilled cheese was pretty bomb as well- hoping to try to the desert place and the pizza tomorrow.

Janice C.

Yelp
I am a fan, specifically for the winged warrior (the name really does really fit). The pizza is INCREDIBLE!!!! the crust is thin, crisp and chewy. The sauce is flavorful and not much is put on the pizza, which allows the crust to maintain its integrity. This will be my new go-to place for great pizza.

Gayle I.

Yelp
Good for a quick bite to eat during a big convention. Something for everyone. My daughter had wings. A little pricey but on par with conference/hotel food.
