The 20 Best Indian Restaurants In London

"This mini-chain has locations in Hounslow, Ilford, Wembley, and more, all specialising in vada pav. It’s a slider-sized Maharashtrian snack of deep-fried potato in a little doughy white bread bap, alongside whacks of chilli and coconut chutneys. As far as handheld, two-gobble snacks go, these are very much up there. The Harrow location, like all of them, is a colourful, casual, fast food-ish space that’s just as good for a solo lunch as it is a quick and delicious good-value dinner. If you’re after something heartier and more gravy-heavy, get the vada misal or the methi malai mutter, and be content in the knowledge that very little here costs more than £10." - jake missing, rianne shlebak, heidi lauth beasley, daisy meager, sinead cranna

If you love authentic vada pav and don’t want to leave your furry friend behind, this place is perfect! The vada pavs are absolutely delicious — crispy, spicy, and served fresh with that perfect chutney kick. They’ve got a few other snacks and chai that pair beautifully, but the vada pav really steals the show. What makes it even better is the dog-friendly outdoor seating. The staff were so welcoming and even brought out a bowl of water for my pup. It’s rare to find a spot that balances great street-style food with such a relaxed and pet-friendly vibe. Highly recommend if you’re craving Mumbai-style comfort food and want to enjoy it with your dog by your side!

Inflation Has Hit… Harder Than the Chai! I’ve been coming to this restaurant for eight years, practically a regular by now. But lately it feels like inflation has hit them harder than it’s hit the rest of us. The portion sizes have shrunk so much, I almost needed a magnifying glass to spot my bread pakoda. The chai, once a comforting cup, now feels more like a polite sip. And despite everything getting smaller, the prices remain exactly the same. It’s like the food went on a diet… but the bill didn’t. As someone who’s enjoyed this place for nearly a decade, it’s sad to see the value drop like this. I really hope the management takes this in the right spirit and brings back the generous portions we all loved.

I have been buying curries from SKVP for a long time, and earlier the portion size used to be really good — one portion was enough for two people. Now the portion size has become much smaller, while the price is still £8.70. They give 2 parotha or rice as complimentary, but instead of giving complimentary items, they should increase the curry portion size. At this price, customers expect proper value for money. The taste is still good, but the quantity has reduced so much that it is no longer worth it. I hope management looks into this and improves portion sizes again. Loyal customers like me would really appreciate this change.

Hi If you want to eat Vada pav then this is the right place. Nice taste reminds me Mumbai feelings. Lucky I got parking in front of the restaurant. Otherwise you have to park on side road . Although sometimes it's difficult but why not try lovely staff too. Many thanks.

Wonderful place to eat authentic Indian street food full of with all the spices and flavours . Fresh food with quick service. Paneer Frankie was so delicious and special part was it was wrapped in a Chapati ( Roti ) . Samosa chaat was tangy and tasty. Chai the hero of the meal . Absolutely refreshing chai . Overall the best place to taste india street food .

What a fantastic place in Harrow (near London) for Indian street food! The masala chai and the vada pav were fantastic! So were the samosas. And the ambience is so cool! Reminded me of Mumbai fast food joints! When we went, the coupons in app couldn't be used in the restaurant - which was a bummer.

The place is really small. Customers here are super rude. They will just occupy your table when you are already on the table. There is no personal space. The music is super loud. The screens behind the counter, the transition speed is super fast. You can’t even take time to read and decide. I ordered butter dabeli, pani puri and vada pav. Neither of them taste good. Vada Pav had some weird flavour, not sure what type of oil they are using but it didn’t taste good. Dabeli was tasteless and flavourless.
