The weather has turned cold lately, so I went back to North London for my favorite barbecue. The highlight is that this place uses pure charcoal grilling, which gives that authentic charcoal aroma every good barbecue should have. 🔥
I have friends from UCL who used to live on Holloway Road, so I often passed by this place. I’ve also heard that their boiled dishes are delicious, which is great news for those who love bold flavors! 👍
I’ve been there several times and tried quite a few dishes. Here are my personal top recommendations:
✅ Grilled Lamb Chops: Generous portion with that delicious charcoal-grilled aroma!
✅ Lamb Skewers, Beef Skewers, and All Kinds of Skewers: You can’t go wrong with any of them—the heat control and seasoning are just right, and the flavor really soaks in. Plus, they don’t deep fry the meat before grilling, so it stays tender and not greasy.
✅ Mao Xue Wang (Spicy Blood and Tripe Hot Pot): I absolutely rave about their Sichuan dishes! The ingredients are deeply infused with flavor, and the chili oil is incredibly fragrant!
