Great BBQ and grilled fish! The grilled fish was really flavourful, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. The BBQ dishes were also delicious, with a nice smoky aroma and generous portions. The atmosphere was relaxed and lively, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size. Definitely a great place to come with friends. Would happily come back again!

蜀一蜀二 is the only BBQ place I truly find authentic — it tastes just like street BBQ back in China. The skewers are consistently great. The grilled beef tendon is a must-order, perfectly chewy and springy. Lamb and beef skewers are juicy and not gamey at all. Chicken wings and grilled gluten are also very solid. The spicy foil-wrapped chicken feet are surprisingly tender and flavourful, the short ribs are smoky and satisfying, and the sweet-and-sour pork is crispy outside and tender inside. The stone-pot rice noodles come piping hot with a rich, spicy broth and generous beef portions. Passion fruit sparkling drinks are refreshing. They also offer takeaway, and there’s a fun in-store game with a chance to get your meal free. Highly recommended if you’re craving real Chinese BBQ in London.

We ordered a lot of skewers and honestly, everything was solid. The lamb skewers had the perfect fat-to-lean ratio — juicy, tender, and not dry at all. The grilled smelt was lightly crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with roe, very satisfying. Tofu skin rolls are always my go-to, and these were fragrant and great for cutting through all the meat. I’m usually sensitive to offal, but the grilled kidneys had zero smell and were surprisingly flavourful. The lamb chops are a must-order. The portion was huge, the meat tasted fresh and natural (not overly marinated), with crispy edges and a tender inside — pure lamb flavour. One surprise highlight was the small pot beef rice noodles. The beef was generous, the broth rich and comforting, and it paired perfectly with the BBQ.

A really welcoming, family-friendly Chinese restaurant with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu has a wide variety of flavourful dishes, especially if you enjoy BBQ skewers and classic comfort food. We ordered the lamb skewers, capelin fish skewers, chicken fried noodles, salt and pepper squid, beef in black bean sauce and egg fried rice. The skewers were cooked perfectly and the black bean sauce was particularly rich and full of flavour. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience and a great spot to visit if you’re looking for Chinese food in London.

If you're looking for real-deal Sichuan cuisine and flavorful charcoal-grilled BBQ, this is it. Every dish reminds me of the authentic taste back in China. Highly recommended!

The garlic grilled fish was super tender and full of flavour — the garlic sauce was so good we kept spooning it over rice. The grilled squid had a nice char and was perfectly chewy, not tough at all. The oysters were loaded with garlic, juicy and fresh with no fishy taste. Also loved the grilled wings and gizzards, and the fried mantou with condensed milk was the perfect sweet ending. Would definitely come back!

The lamb ribs were a highlight – crispy on the outside, tender and full of natural lamb flavour. 💗Highly recommended.

Finally got to try Shu La La in North London, and it definitely lives up to the hype! The lamb chops are a must—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of smoky, spicy flavor. The skewers were all on point too, perfectly seasoned and grilled just right. Plus, the cold spinach and peanut salad was the perfect balance of tangy and crunchy. Can’t wait to go back!
