First time coming here as I was craving fish and have been wanting to stop by. I ordered the fried catfish basket which came with fries. The fillets and the fries were really good but the hush puppies were warm on outside with a close to cold middle. I did really enjoyed the grilled zucchini I ordered. Just so you know ahead of time the fountain machine only serves Dr. Pepper and Diet Coke as the other flavors are some kind of specialty brand. I would come here again for some more fried catfish or probably try something else.

Great atmosphere, lots of tables and seating. We ordered the clam chowder which was a bit bland for my liking, needed a little more salt. The alligator bites were delicious with their lemon pepper seasoning on them, and the two dips with them were really good. The lobster hushpuppies are small, but pretty tasty. The garlic butter oysters had cheese on them which we didn't know when we ordered, and we would have enjoyed them more without the cheese, it overpowered the flavor. We also got a Po Boy which was good. Next time we will try the fish, lobster, and shrimp.

Really cute place. Clean. Nice staff. Food is very disappointing. Catfish tasted muddy and made me really miss Boat House where they knew how to soak catfish to get the muddy taste out. I got 4 fried shrimp and 1 catfish. Small catfish portions - not good so whatever. Looked nothing like the pictures. At least half the size. The shrimp was over fried. The shrimp taste like frozen from the grocery store with some "slap your momma" seasoning sprinkled over. Not in the batter because it's pre made. You have no table service. There is a bar. Very disappointing!

I had never been here before as I am not a big seafood eater, but I can tolerate shrimp occasionally so I agreed to meet a friend here for lunch. It was a little different than I expected as you actually go to the counter to order then you find somewhere to sit. I walked up to the counter to read the menu to see what I could order that was low carb. They actually have a lot of low carb/keto options which was awesome. But, of course being the difficult person I am, I wanted to have the pasta but with veggies instead of noodles. Without any hesitation, they happily accommodated my request. Honestly I don’t remember what my friend ordered, but I do remember her saying it was really good. Our food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. The sauce on my pasta could have used a bit more flavor, but the veggies were clearly fresh. Adding fresh lemon juice with the seasoned shrimp balanced out with the sauce, making the flavor combination a delight. Usually restaurants have some type of mixed vegetable medley, but you could tell my zucchini was freshly sliced and grilled. In my opinion, the portion was small, but because I don’t eat many carbs with my meals I feel like I tend to eat more than most 🤷🏻‍♀️. During the visit, a gentleman, who I believe was one of the owners, came over to help us and we began chatting. He was incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome. He even extended an invitation to an upcoming event they were hosting, which was a lovely gesture. He also made a point to stop by our table and check on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The cleanliness of the restaurant also deserves some praise. The entire dining area was well-maintained and clean (despite the fact that it was pouring rain outside), adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere. I will add that it was a bit chilly in there. My experience at Shuck Me was great. The inviting ambiance, attentive and friendly staff, tasty food, and the personal touch from the owner created a pleasant dining experience.

Been excited for this new restaurant to open up. Shrimp po boy was great but the grilled shrimp shrimp alfredo was amazing! The ginormous Margaritas were perfect!! I typically don't like most restaurants sweet and sour but whatever restaurant this one uses is great and taste homemade. Everyone was super nice the staff was amazing and very attentive. This will definitely be a regular spot for me.

Several thoughts: 1. Under NO circumstances order the GUMBO. This was the worst gumbo I’ve ever tried. In fact, the slop served up is NOT gumbo. The “gumbo” was topped with a Mexican style rice. Enough said. 2. Do not bother with the ceviche. This dish consisted of pico de gallo mixed with cooked shrimp. The dish served is NOT ceviche. 3. The grilled grouper poor boy was fine. The fish was cooked OK. The bread, however, was quite soft. French fries are average at best. 4. The service was very inexperienced. The physical aspects of the restaurant are nice for a casual place, but I don’t see how Shuck Me will stay in business unless the food is drastically improved. Note that access to the building is compromised by construction.

Happy to have a good new restaurant around. Food was very good. Breading on the fried shrimp & catfish was good. Grilled grouper was very good. Frozen Margarita was good. Pricing is good for what you get. Staff was very helpful & attentive, especially for a counter service style restaurant & that they recently opened. Lovely outdoor patio. Good live music. All in all, a very good experience. We'll be back for sure! Update 6/19/22, another great experience. Great food (better than before). Grilled fish & shrimp was great. Great margaritas. Very Friendly & Helpful Service. We'll be back again soon!
