If you love green tea that's the real deal. They serve matcha drinks, ice cream, snacks. I had the matcha latte which tastes a little bit bitter and seaweed like which subsides after a couple of sips and by adding any type of sweetener. I like that they have a variety of sweeteners to choose from brown sugar, coconut sugar, honey, agave, stevia, list goes on.. Their variety of green teas come with their individual fine tastes. This place also offers gift bags of tea and Co. ideal to purchase as a gift. They have a cute cozy patio in the back. Staff is super friendly.

When I found out there was a place that was all about matcha near where I live, I nearly freak out. I was so happy when I first went there. Everytime I would go, I would order the matcha parfait. It has azuki beans (sweet read beans), corn flakes, matcha green tea ice cream, red bean ice cream, freeze dried strawberries, and whipped cream. Everytime it hit the spot and satisfied the craving. I started to utilize their punch card. Then, for a while, I didnt go as much, until today. I had been meaning to come visit and get my delicious parfait but never had the availability to go. So, I took my mom. The store was pretty hot by the register so when I got my ice cream it kind of started to melt but it still looked delicious. When I ate it, it wasnt the same. I thought the ice cream wasn't as sweet as last time but I think this time there wasnt enough red beans. The red beans are my favorite part. Not a lot of people like them but I suggest you try a little bit of them with matcha green tea ice cream and its yummy. I suggest coming to this place if you really like matcha! You can get tea powder, leaves, pockys, michi ice cream, and more! You'll just have to come in and see for yourself what else they have got!

The girls at the front were really kind and helpful. The matcha was really high quality. They even have a cute outdoor eating area

Shuhari Matcha Café is the only boutique shop and cafe in the Los Angeles area that specializes in organic premium Matcha Green Teas.

The staffs are nice but I don't recommend this place to the matcha fans. You will be disappointed. I ordered the soft serve and ceremonial tea. The soft serve was icy, very sweet and doesn't have the strong matcha taste. The ceremonial grade matcha tea was served in a normal cup, very watery, the ratio between matcha and water was wrong. They probably didn't use the correct water temperature 175F. There was no creamy bubble texture in the tea. didn't notice if he used a whisk to whisk to matcha at all. I don't believe it is really ceremonial grade. It is very disappointing given the rating is so high in Yelp, Google and Foursquare.

If you want a good, vegan, ice cream experience down Abbot Kinney avenue, try the matcha ice cream. It’s a refreshing and healthy alternative to the other ice cream shops around here.

Black sesame ice cream is amazing if you like a savory approach to sweets. Amazing staff that allows you to sample before you order.
