The 18 Best Restaurants In Borough Market

"Long lines at Borough Market can sometimes result in disappointment, but not at Shuk;. So if there’s a wait at the Israeli stall, know the soft, pillowy pitas are worth it. Our go-to filling is juicy chicken shawarma with plenty of garlicky toum, herby schug, and crunchy salad. Grab a pile of napkins, find a bench, and dive in." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, daisy meager, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

9 Of The Best Babkas In London - London - The Infatuation

"Available for takeaway & delivery If you’re one for the experiential, then you’ll enjoy Shuk’s DIY babka kit. Dough isn’t exactly our forte but my oh my, it turns out, quite literally, anyone can make this monstrously delicious creation. A not insignificant layer of hazelnut spread sprinkled with a generous blanket of cookie crumbs and dark chocolate buttons makes this pretty much foolproof. Is the vanilla syrup that you soak your babka in post-bake OTT? No. No it is not." - Jake Oliver

9 Meal Kits Perfect For One Person - London - The Infatuation

"The Tel Aviv-inspired spot has a few tasty meal kits on their website, but it’s the sweet stuff that catches our eye. You might be thinking, really? An entire chocolate, hazelnut, and cookie crumb babka to yourself? That dear reader, is not a problem. That is a solution. To boredom (it’s a whole DIY bake off activity), to hunger (you get to eat it), and to sadness (chocolate)." - Jake Oliver

I quite enjoyed a pita filled with beef brisket for lunch. I wasn't to fond of the beer though. All in all a pleasant experience. For some reason Shuk was the least busy stall on Borough Market when the place was heaving.

Amazing stall in Borough Market with both meat-based and vegetarian options. From pita to salad box, there is something from everyone. We went for the Shawarma pita and a Salad Box with roasted beetroots and Sweet potatoes. DELICIOUS. Plus the service is super fast

🥙Save for later! 🙏🏻 This was my last food visit before everything was closed down and even if I know you can’t visit in near future, save this for later because it was an absolute heaven. Situated in Borough Market SHUK is a Tel Aviv Food Market. We tried:
🔹Beef brisket, mayo, cheese and pickled onion pita 🔹Spiced lamb meatballs, coriander and pickled cabbage pita
🔹Mix of three different salads
The pitas were so soft and fluffy I can compare them to bao texture 😍 Both of them - heavenly delicious and so well seasoned. For the salads, I’m not a huge fan of salads 🥗because I think they can’t be that special BUT these from Shuk? 🤪 I could have these three times a day and live happily ever after 😝Honestly the sweet potato salad with chilli yoghurt was sooo good 🤤 Also loved the mix of broccoli🥦, croutons and Israeli ‘cous cous’. I’m not exaggerating when I say I could have this every week. Thanks for having us, everyone was so friendly and the food is just exceptional! 😌

A really good Israeli/Middle East food. Their Sabich is really good, especially the Pita. Fresh, soft and high quality. The stuff are friendly and welcoming, giving a good service with a big smile. Located in the middle of the Borough Market, it's great to grab as take away and have a lunch on the side of the river. Enjoy :)

Great tasting sandwich. I had the lamb and it had the right level of spiciness. Seating is not easily available across the market, but the stall has some limited space.

Shuk is such a great spot. The food is delicious, with vibrant Middle East street food inspired dishes that are perfect for sharing. Their pita and stuffed challah are incredible, packed with fresh ingredients and bold flavors that really stand out. The atmosphere is buzzing and fun, and the staff are friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better.

Went to grab a pita At Shuk for Saturday lunch. Reasonable price (£8.50) for a pita full of flavours ! Really enjoyed it, it’s most, tasty and with delicious layers of aroma. Pita is fluffy and soak perfectly the sauce. Aubergines are perfectly cooking, melting as they should be. Great sandwich! And the staff is really nice and welcome ! Will come back to try the 2 other versions : lamb meat ball and fish tajine. I would definitely recommend !

Awesome Chicken Shawarma Pita! Really enjoyed the pita sandwich here. Really well done with layers of flavor and carefully crafted. Look forward to trying their beef brisket next.
