"Shy Bird in South Boston for its outstanding fried chicken bites which can be ordered with a variety of sauces — chipotle, honey mustard, ranch, sweet and sour — and while they are probably meant as an app/shareable dish, I’m ok with getting a 12 piece or even a 20 piece and telling people that they can get their own." - Erika Adams

"Head over to Shy Bird’s new South Boston location for 'Tender Tuesdays,' where the team sells chicken tenders and sauces alongside sommelier-advised wine pairings. You can buy wine by the glass with one type of chicken tender, or buckle in for the full ride and try two of each tender with the sauces ($26) and the accompanying four wine pairings ($26 per person)." - Erika Adams

Had a fine dinner here which was good, but nothing special. Ultimately, it’s just solid rotisserie chicken and some good sauces. We enjoyed the spinach & artichoke dip and the tuna crispy rice bites, but aren’t necessarily rushing to go back. It wasn’t too expensive either, which was nice.

Lovely brunch. The staff is so friendly. Highly recommend the grilled banana bread with maple-Orange butter. And the chicken benedict. Very accommodating for gluten free too. Skip the latte that has cardamom.

Steven was our server and was absolutely phenomenal. My partner and I went for my birthday dinner, he treated us every step of the way. It's always a little things, and he came out with treats along the way to make it very special. Dinah the bartender was also equally amazing, she came over with complementary birthday drinks to help us celebrate, came afterwards to see how they were. Great service, great food, great chatting with the people there, can't wait to go back!

Trendy spot in the south of the city. Great ambiance. The food was tasty, and the server was highly attentive. Would recommend. Suggest getting reservations, though they do have plenty of space at the bar. Street parking as far as we could tell.

If you're looking for a primo poultry experience, then this place simply can't be beat. Here are the highlights: Food: Shy Bird has a great menu, from sandwiches to salads and grain bowls. The chicken, of course, is the star of the show. Drinks: Whether you're in the mood for a classic cocktail or looking to try something new off they have a creative drink menu. Staff: A+ The service really does add a layer of charm to the overall experience. Everyone I've interacted with is super friendly and fun. Atmosphere: Whoever said 'business and pleasure don't mix' obviously never visited Shy Bird during weekday work hours. They've introduced a "Work from Shy Bird" concept where they roll out three different menus, offering everything from an all-you-can-drink coffee to lunch specials and an after-work drink option. I've never seen this concept before, and trust me, it's an interesting take on the traditional work-lunch scenario. They have a Happy Hour which they call "Shy Hour." As you might be aware, Happy Hours aren't allowed in Massachusetts, but Shy Bird cleverly interprets this with a competitively priced menu that's a great value for an after-work drop-in. The $3.50 beer does comes in a smaller glass. IMO, Shy Bird is an ideal spot for a mid-day meal or a relaxed dinner with friends. I'd confidently give it a four out of five stars. So fly on over...you won't be disappointed!

I was so excited for this but, the dinner for 2 was a joke. 40+ dollars would’ve been great for 2 people BUT The rotisserie chicken was undercooked and bloody and it came with a small side of fries, that was just enough for 1 person, and what was supposed to be a salad, was a container of lettuce. The seasoning has wayyyy too much pepper and i will definitely not be ordering anything from there ever again

This is the perfect spot for chicken lovers! From their whole chicken to the dunks(fried chicken bites) which you can get with a flight of sauces. The fries are delicious and the salad is fresh even though it’s fairly wet but I like that! While there, quite a few people at neighboring tables ordered the SB chicken sandwich and devoured it so I need to return soon to get that!
