Montreal’s Newest Microbrewery Is Now Dispensing on the Plateau — and Other Openings | Eater Montreal

"Expanded from Brossard, it's opened a downtown location in Hôtel Le Crystal on de la Montagne and Rene-Levesque — a welcome shuffle in hotel dining away from the usual 'continental' menus, and one of very few Thai restaurants of note in the inner core alongside PhayaThai." - Tim Forster

What a treat - for your eyes and your taste buds! Went to this restaurant for Christmas lunch with the family. We were greeted and promptly seated by our server Anne. She offered a few suggestions and everything that was served on the table was outstanding. We'll definitely come back for more when in the area. Highly recommended!

Semi-fine dining at an incredible price point - a rare find! The default 4-course meal for $50 is an absolute steal. Getting this level of quantity and quality at a 5-star restaurant is extremely rare. In my opinion, it’s easily enough food for two people. I’d actually recommend ordering just one of these for two, plus a separate main dish if you feel you need more. The “Mango Sticky Rice” cocktail is one of my favourite cocktails in all of Montreal. It’s a little on the sweet side, but when paired with spicy Thai food, it becomes a truly heavenly combination. Even some of the best cocktail bars in the city- with drinks priced at $25–30 -felt subpar compared to the experience of this $17 cocktail.

Don't get fooled by the name, it's a bar and lounge, not quite a Thai restaurant. It's what they call a fine dining experience. There's an indoor entrance from the hotel Warwick Le Crystal, so reservations are expected-- especially at night when it can get really packed. Has a nice atmosphere if you're looking for fancy places. I usually go there for the dessert only, they have a truly nice crème brûlée.

Every time I visit Montreal, I always go to Siam centre-ville or the one at Quartier Dix30. This time we were at the downtown location and had an amazing experience. Our server, Oliver, was super helpful and accommodating. He was also friendly very knowledgeable of the menu. Our group had a great time. My favourite dish is beef paneng curry. Their appetizer platter also never disappoints. We tried the mango sticky rice mocktail and loved it, as well as the lychee sangria was crisp and light - went well with the food. Highly recommend this restaurant and will be back asking for Oliver the next time we come into town.

I am giving 5 stars especially for the services of the waitress team and good vibes, cozy atmosphere. Nice bar with various selection, feels like a fine dining restaurant. BUT! I came with high expectation (as it screams Thai from the name Siam) ordered Tom yum, pad kra pow, and fried rice and all were tasted not even close to Thai foods. I am not saying the meals were bad, it was good in another way, just wasn't "Thai food" as I was expecting. Hopefully you guys understand the craving of Thai foods in the middle of -8°C windy night and paid 80$ for meals not even close to your expectation. That is how I felt. Anyway, thanks MJ and one Cambodian lady (forgot to ask her name) who attended my table. I highly appreciate their services!

Anniversary Dinner at Oliver and Julienne – A Wonderful Experience We came to Siam, welcomed by our servers, Oliver and Julienne, to celebrate a friends anniversary, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. Despite serving a large party of around 30–40 guests that night, the staff remained incredibly attentive and hospitable. They checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was perfect. The food was absolutely amazing—every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. I especially like the seafood curry. The wine recommendations were spot-on, and they even let me sample a few before choosing the one I liked best. The team’s energy and friendliness truly stood out. You can tell they love what they do, and it made the entire evening feel warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back!

This restaurant has always been on my list to try, instantly underwhelmed after first few bites. The meat were not fresh and tasted stale, which was a huge disappointment. I ordered chicken wings for appetizer- they came rock hard. Felt like they were leftover or something you get from cheap buffet. 5pc for $17 it’s daylight robbery, do better yall. 1/10 Duck confit in red sauce— the duck itself was packaged separately from the sauce which was great. However, the duck meat was not fresh. Sadly it also tasted like it was left on the counter overnight. The red sauce was sweet, it has lychees in it. I questioned the authenticity of this dish, but it was a pleasant surprise. Not worth $33 imho. 3.5/10 Papaya Salad was the only dish I enjoyed. Good balance between sour, sweet, and salty. 7/10 I placed my order on the resto site itself for delivery, the food still arrived 30min late from ETA. Not to mention names, but you can find handful of Thai restaurants in the city that serve better quality authentic Thai food for lesser price. The order was $75+ tips, I’d take my business elsewhere next time.

Absolutely the best meal! I visited Siam twice while working in Montreal. The first time there, the meal was so good, I had to return. Very reasonably priced, especially for the quality of the dishes.
