Stopped by for dinner on a Saturday cold winter night. We thought it was about 7pm since it was so dark, but alas, it was only about 4:30. Still, a bowl of soup and some warm spicy Thai food sounded perfect!
The restaurant was pretty empty, except for the bar area, where they have plenty of open seating, booths and high top tables. We were promptly delivered the Happy Hour menu, which, much to my surprise had all the appetizers, soups and "small plates" of the dishes we'd normally order.
The Tom Yum was soup-er tasty! Very fragrant, and loaded with chicken and mushrooms, this dish knocked it out of the park. I had enough to pack home and holy cow, on day 2 it was even better. My partner had the Tom Kha and was also very pleased... gobbled it all up so he had none to take home, poor soul.
The other stand out dish was the Panang Curry. For a "small plate" size, it was quite large, and again, loaded with chicken, peppers and aromatics. Also very tasty on day 2!
The appetizers were standard (wings and spring rolls), so nothing to really note there, other than again, the serving sizes were plenty big enough for two.
Service was great. The bar area probably had 7 or 8 other tables to wait on, but we had no issues. They were attentive, the food came out quickly, and they checked in often. Even mama-chef came to see if we liked everything when they dropped off our to go left overs. All in all, a great experience.
