Where to Eat Around the University of California at Irvine (UCI) | Eater LA

"For some Thai street food fare just a short distance away from campus, Siam Station has got you covered. With large, filling portions of classic favorites like papaya salad, pad see ew, and panang curry, it’s a solid stop for a casual meal or a night of takeout. The khao soi — egg noodles served in a hearty coconut curry broth — is a crowd favorite. And don’t forget to finish the meal off with the mango sticky rice." - Cathy Park

Google
I bookmarked this restaurant over a year ago, and I’m glad I finally decided to visit after a recent craving for Thai cuisine—specifically green curry. I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations and has become my new favorite Thai spot. The green curry was exceptional—rich, aromatic, and deeply authentic. The fried rice was flavorful and perfectly balanced, and the orange chicken was delightfully crisp with just the right touch of sweetness. Every dish we tried reflected a clear attention to quality and detail. The service was equally impressive: the staff were genuinely warm, attentive, and professional. The environment was spotless and welcoming, enhancing the overall dining experience. Perhaps most notably, the noodles were among the best I’ve had anywhere in the U.S.—perfectly cooked with a texture and flavor that spoke to culinary expertise. There’s nothing I would change about this restaurant, I just wish they had bigger place and more tables. it delivers on every front

Google
Great place for thai food. I love the crab fried rice and especially the mango sticky rice. Everything else is mediocre to me. Service: its regular, nothing much to be expected. Ambiance: tight space and lots of time I have to seat outside.

Google
we had lunch at Siam Station – Thai Street Foods. The food was flavorful and authentic. The mushroom soup was light yet aromatic, with a nice balance of herbs and spices – perfect as a starter. The pad noodle was savory and satisfying, with just the right amount of sauce and a nice smoky wok flavor. The atmosphere was cozy and casual, and the service was fast and friendly. A great spot for a tasty and quick Thai lunch!

Google
This place is above average for Thai food. Theres just nothing really special about the dishes. Even if you ask for very spicy they give you something that maybe a white person would brake a sweat eating but it just barley tickles my tongue. The food is also about 60% too sweet. Real thai food doesn't taste like it has this much sugar inside it. Overall if you're not expecting real thai food and are okay with the american version of it then this place is good for that.

Google
My best friend and I dined here right at opening time on the weekend. We ordered pad sea ew, papaya salad, and this crossaint curry dish. The last one was my favorite. The pad dish was too sweet for my caliber! I had to add alot of fish sauce to balance it out. The papaya salad lacked flavor and spice. Pricing was fair and service was rather quick. Overall, I am not compelled to come back here.

Google
Not sure why this place has lower reviews since this is one of my favorite thai places. The pineapple fried rice is so good and the khao soi was also really good. Apparently the satay was kinda bland and dry but i didn’t try it. Mango sticky rice is also so good and pretty too! One of my favorite places to go in Irvine. And service was good too and servers were nice

Google
The restaurant has a bustling atmosphere and, despite its small size, features a team of four to five attentive and friendly staff members who provide excellent service. However, the food didn't quite live up to expectations. The soup fell short, and while the mango sticky rice was enjoyable, it was slightly on the sweeter side.

Google
Siam Station is a popular destination for Thai food. The food is very good. Depending on what location you go to the atmosphere is better than other locations. Service is always great and so is the food. I would recommend this place hands down.

Yelp
We have been here twice in one week. Their service is fast and rushed. Small space, but clean. They can make most dishes vegetarian with tofu. Must try recs: eggplant basil; duck curry; mango sticky rice. Avoid: -roti (super oily and hard to chew). -pineapple fried rice (lacks flavor; not enough pineapple, too much cashew and raisin).

Yelp
This little hidden gem is located in the little strip mall thats shared by McDonald's, Arby's, etc. The interior dining area seats about 20 at most, and theres also a few tables outside of the storefront that each can seat up to 4 people. There is plenty of parking, and on a Tuesday night around 6:30pm, they were steadily busy with folks waiting to be seated, and not to mention, they had a ton of pickup and to go orders going on at all times! The food was good, tasted authentic. I ordered the yellow curry with egg noodles and it was delicious. I asked for it extra spicy and found it to be moderately spicy but, nothing note worthy. The curry was rich and thick, and the chicken was decent. The service was efficient, the servers were attentive, and the food came out fairly quickly. I wish that the portions were a bit larger given the price point. Overall a solid hidden gem, in a quiet little plaza, with great thai food with bold flavors. I will be back to try other items on the menu!

Yelp
Our group ordered some classics like the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Tom Yum, and a fried rice. Portions were ok for the prices (high teens per dish) but kinda wished we got more bang for our buck. Flavors were typical for a casual Thai place, as nothing really stood out to me as something I'd get again. A bit on the sweet side for the noodle dishes, would've been nice if they were more savory or had savory components. We sat at an outdoor table that appeared clean, but it's not covered with a tablecloth or anything, and we weren't provided with placemats. The lady who took our order got right down to business and seemed a little impatient at times haha. They're not super friendly here and got antsy to set the table for the next group. Parking lot is usually pretty open, even during peak lunch and dinner hours. The plaza also has some nice snacking and dessert options, so it's a good spot to catch up with friends or enjoy a quick meal.

Yelp
Located at Jamboree and Barranca in a strip mall behind McD, this friendly Thai place is a true gem. Wait times for a table are minimal and service is very fast. By the time you're in your seat, there is already water on your table and they are ready to take your order. The menu is not as extensive as some Thai places, but they have all of the core dishes. The quality and quantity are good. Food tastes great and they are not kidding when it comes to your requested spice level. The place is good for an intimate meal, but also ok for small groups. During peak times, it can get a bid loud due to the relatively small size. I find myself coming back a lot, due to the efficiency, quality and reasonable prices.

Yelp
One of my go to thai places in Irvine! There are a ton of locations! I personally love the Panang curry and pad see ew. The prices are very reasonable and usually there is seating available. Service is super quick and the waiters are very friendly. Portions are big and I recommend doing family style to try everything. I need to try the other specials!

Yelp
FOOD: Tye food here was very good! I've had a lot of Thai food in my life and this was authentic and delicious! We got the Roti and VmCurry which was a great starter. Also the Cashew with fried tofu, vegetable fried rice, and green beans were delicious! The Chicken Satay add good, slightly dry, but flavorful. SERVICE: The sever was nice but you could tell he was busy so not overly friendly. AMBIANCE/DECOR: It's a very small place and seating is limited. There were a lot of people waiting outside for a table so it was busy.

Yelp
It was my boyfriend's and my first time coming here, and we ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, Pad See Ew, and the spicy basil fried rice with crispy pork. Everything was really good, the portions were fair, and the service was great. We also got the mango sticky rice, which ended up being my favorite part of the meal. Everything was delicious we'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes!

Yelp
This is probably one of my go to Thai places when I'm in a hurry. If I have time, I'll dine in. There aren't very many tables inside and a handful outside. Luckily, they are pretty fast about getting people in and out. I love their pad see ew with chicken, Thai eggplant basil, and yellow curry. Their food is always solid so it won't disappoint! They also have a good sized parking lot, which is always a plus to me.

Yelp
A nice little authentic Thai restaurant, tucked away in Irvine and so glad we found it. Being a Sunday afternoon it was very busy and we had to wait a little to get a table. The food was fantastic!! The service was very good. The roti and curry is a "must try". The roti was crispy and the curry we ordered was the panang. So good. The garlic green beans and the cashew nut tofu, were my favorites. The green beans were done perfectly with a crunch to it, and tofu was very flavorful. I would definitely make another visit to this restaurant soon.

Yelp
Another stellar visit to our Secret Spot in Irvine. Do you want healthy, fresh, perfectly seasoned food and a reasonable price? Do want to finish a meal and feel you ate really well, and I mean healthy and fresh? Do you want value for your money? No frills? No gimmicks, no reheated, no microwaved, no covered with cheese? no deep fried? no nasty food? Come to Siam Station, our secret spot in Irvine.

Yelp
Thai cuisine is one of my absolute favorite. I just love the combinations is curry, rice, and other dishes that are just packed with flavor and texture. This place popped up when I was looking for a Thai restaurant and I had to check it out. It's a tiny little place with a little seating area. I tried one of every category from the Tom Kha Soup, Panang Curry, Spicy Eggplant, and lastly the Sticky Mango dessert. The soup was very nice and creamy and loved the mushrooms adding flavor to the soup with its umami. The Panang curry was good too and just having it mild allows you to Feel and taste every spice in it. The Spicy Eggplant is one of my favorite dishes and this place does it pretty decently and the sauce on it had a nice bold flavor along with the scent of basil that it's cooked with. Lastly the Sticky Mango Rice dessert is always something I get when I go to Thai places and many times it depends on the flavor of the mango. Usually more on the ripe side tastes sweetest and the best and this place chose a good mango. Realistically it's a 3.5 star as it's slightly above average in my opinion from food and service. A good place to get your Thai cravings and more!

Yelp
Mmm not to sure about this location recently I've ordered a few times and the flavors have been off.

Yelp
We had a very delicious dinner with family at home. Roti and curry, very good. Tom kah Kai mixed vegetables, the best, so delicious. Panang curry filet mignon mild is good but very few meat, same with roast duck curry very few meat, had to look for the meat. Spicy beef salad mild very good. Pad see ew filet mignon and larb chicken were good. Chinese broccoli prawns were so so. Pad thai prawns were good. Service was fast. It was ready by the time we got there which is only few minutes from home. The place is clean. Would love to have the Tom kah Kai soup again. The best so far I've had.

Yelp
We ordered a few different dishes to try, and everything came out really fresh and flavorful. The Siam Station fried rice was hands down our favorite -- it was light, perfectly seasoned, and not greasy at all. You could really taste all the ingredients, and it had the perfect balance of flavor without being too heavy. The Pad See Ew was also really good; the noodles were soft, chewy, and had that slightly smoky flavor that makes the dish so comforting. We also tried the Prik King chicken, which had good flavor and a nice kick of spice, but next time I think I'll go with the orange chicken instead since I was craving something a little sweeter. For dessert, we got the mango sticky rice. The rice itself was delicious and creamy, but the mango was a bit sour -- still good, just not as sweet as expected. Overall, the service was quick and friendly, and the food came out fast and hot. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. I really liked the casual, clean vibe of the place too. It's definitely a spot I'll be coming back to -- especially for that fried rice!

Yelp
I was craving papaya salad so I decided to come here. Our waiter was really nice and attentive, always looked so busy running everywhere! We got the lao papaya salad and tom yum fried rice. We're removing one star just because 2 big tables ordered waaay after us yet they got ALL their food while we just waited for a simple plate of fried rice. Probably a priority issue for the kitchen's end. Overall would probably rather do take out but food was great!

Yelp
Over the weekend, my friends and I got to check out this spot after a long day of playing Pokemon Go. Luckily at 8pm on a Saturday, there was no wait. I don't normally venture out from getting Pad Thai, but our friend is a Thai food expert and ordered a few new items for us to try. We got the papaya pok pok salad, pad Thai, and Ka Pow. There were four of us total, and the three plates were pretty filling! The papaya salad was the star of the show because it was super refreshing on a hot day. This restaurant itself is small, so it's a good thing they also offered outside seating. Service here was great! They always checked in on us and made sure we were doing okay.

Yelp
Wow, kind of shocked I missed writing a review for Siam! I was thinking I was going to update a 4-5 star review, but unfortunately I need to give a 2 star for my first review. I've been to Siam a LOT over the past year. Started out great. Usually like to order drunken noodles with chicken, medium spicy. (Sometimes I switch it up and do the tom yum noodles too.) It used to have actual SPICE in medium spicy. Now? This is the 3rd time I've ordered take out of this very dish (drunken noodles with chicken) in the last month and there is just NO SPICE. I put down my fork after 3 bites and just opened up Yelp as I was super let down for the 3rd time in a row. Time to take a break from Siam I guess until they give me some actual SPICE. (Take a look at the photo I attached, there is NOTHING spicy about it!)
google avatar

Curtis L.

Yelp
The pad Thai was savory, sweet, and flavorful! I highly recommend it. The pineapple fried rice was a classic. The chicken satay had a strong curry flavor but quickly turned dry during our meal. Ended up taking a decent amount of food home

Yelp
Sunday, July 30, 2023 Consistently great Thai food. Their pork belly is always crispy. Our favorites are the pad Thai & pineapple fried rice! So good! Seating is limited.
google avatar

Matt B.

Yelp
Excellent spot for a Thai craving. Disclaimer: I've never been to Thailand, so I don't speak from an authentic Thai food POV. This was my 3rd time here. I ordered the garlic beef & Thai tea. The garlic beef isn't on the menu, but ask for it anyway. I also tried the Tom Yum noodles, chicken & noodles, and another dish with beef (big group). Everything was amazing, except for the Tom Yum. Not my type of yum, but it may be yours if seafood is your thing. The Thai tea hit the spot to top everything off. Service was quick and excellent. The ambience was average for a lunch spot. Overall satisfied.

Yelp
Siam Station is one of the Thai restaurants we opt to eat around Irvine! It is reasonably priced and delicious! We got the Pad See Ew with crispy pork and the Thai Coconut Curry with Chicken. The crispy pork with the pad see ew is AMAZING! I think everyone should try it at least once because it's so good! The Thai Coconut Curry was very flavorful as well. I want to come back and try other dishes as well! The inside is pretty small with it only having around 10 tables, but they do have outdoor seating if you don't mind that! The wait can get pretty long for dinner and they often close the wait list
google avatar

Risha S.

Yelp
One of my favorite thai spots in OC! This time I got their egg rolls, pad thai, drunken noodles, and thai tea. I always get tofu with the noodle dishes, and its always perfectly crispy. I highly recommend the pad thai, and it's not too oily unlike some other places I have been. I think if they asked for spice level, the drunken noodles could have been better. However, they were able to offer us chili sauce which made it more flavorful. Siam station is a small restaurant, so there can be a wait. I recommend bringing a jacket if you're coming in the evening so you could also sit outside.
google avatar

Peter N.

Yelp
Siam Station is always, consistently FRESH and TASTY. My go-to's are the Pad See Ew, Panang Curry, Yellow Curry, and Crab Fried Rice. Honorable mentions: Pad Thai and Cashew Chicken. Service is fast--our food came out in what felt like 8 minutes after ordering. Usually there's a bit of a wait, but we came in around 2PM on a Saturday and conveniently snagged a table right away. The vibe inside is always nice--Thai pop music playing, cozy atmosphere. I've sat both indoors and outdoors, and no matter where you sit, the staff are super friendly and check on you often. Definitely a favorite spot for solid Thai food!
google avatar

Ernest F.

Yelp
Solid 4-star restaurant! Good food. Good service. Nice decor; not a lot of tables inside, they have some outdoor seating out front too. Save room for the tasty desserts like the roti.
google avatar

Long T.

Yelp
Great little Thai spot with located near a corporate plaza with plenty of parking. The space has limited seating but there are some seats outside. The wait times can be pretty long during peak hours, but if you get it to go, the weight is a little shorter. I've been here a couple times to get take out, specifically the Tom Kha Kai soup. There's something about this soup that just hits the spot. It's has a rich coconut flavor, with the right balance of sour and spicy. I've never been disappointed whenever it ordered it. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Siam Station is located in a small lot with Chipotle, McDonald's, and Jam Jam Tea House. The restaurant was packed on Friday night, and both the inside and outside seating were full. We placed a to-go order which comprised of pad see ew with filet mignon (extra $3.50) and chicken wings. The food was ready within 15 minutes. The pad see ew was piping hot and had good flavor. However, it was not chewy and got soggy quickly. Also, not sure if they were really using actual filet mignon or merely labeling it as such, because it just tasted like beef. I have had better pad see ew at a lot of other places, so I would not order this dish again. 3 stars. As for the chicken wings, they were probably one of the saddest appetizers I have ever had. There were about five small wings in the order. They were extremely greasy and had lost their crisp 10 minutes later when I ate them. Furthermore, they tasted like they were fried in recycled, old oil. There was a sweet fish? sauce they came with. However, the wings were still bland after I dipped them in. I chewed on the fried basil leaves and had to spit them out because they had absorbed the old oil. 1 star. I may come back to try their curry and fried rice, but this experience was underwhelming and left a bad taste in my mouth... literally. Better luck next time (I was hungry and did not have a chance to take pictures).

Yelp
Every time I come here the staff is incredibly rude. I work at a Thai restaurant myself so I'm pretty understanding of this kind of environment. However, I can't justify the interaction I just had with the front of house today. I checked in on my order with the front and the To Go staff saw me stand there for a few minutes and then finally grabbed a nearby bag that has been sitting there and literally tossed my order at me without saying anything and turned around to continue packing items. They didnt even put any napkins, forks, or chopsticks in my bag and I ordered 2 dishes. It was also really slow when I came in so I don't understand why the staff couldn't spare a second to say "here's your order" or half ass a "have a goodnight". He really just tossed it at me. If it was a one time thing I would be understanding, but the staff always has such a bad attitude. I've had countless bad interactions with the Front of House and I'm finally deciding to make a review to give feedback. I am disappointed in the lack of hospitality at Siam Station. Interactions like this change the experience of the food. I hope the feedback helps bring customer service back to this location!

Yelp
I don't throw around the phrase "best ever" lightly, but the tom yum noodle soup here? Yeah, it's that good. The broth is deep, rich, and has the perfect kick of spice without overpowering the other flavors. Every spoonful is a perfect balance of tangy, savory, and comforting. And then there's the mango sticky rice- flawless. Sweet, fresh, and creamy, without being overly sugary. Whatever they're doing here, they need to never stop because it's absolute perfection. Siam Station is the kind of place where you leave feeling like you just had something special. The service is stellar, the space is clean, and the food is unforgettable. If you haven't been, just go. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Service was so quick the food came out quickly. It's a small place so it can get pretty busy, but we got seated right away. Casual small spot that's great for lunch or dinner! We had the crab fried rice, crispy rice salad, green Thai tea, and Zesty Wings!
google avatar

Donna B.

Yelp
Went there for lunch with 5 other people. Location is not large and can get busy during lunch. They do have outdoor seating as well. The food was good and the portions were a good size. Food did not come out as quickly as I would have liked. One dish came out then minutes later 4 more dishes came out and then minutes later my dish (drunken noodles came out). I wouldn't recommend dining in. I think to go orders would work best for this location. Parking lot is small so you may have to circle during peak hours.
google avatar

Kenny L.

Yelp
Amazing food with friendly service! We had the crab fried rice and I thought the fried rice itself was delicious; however, the crab flavor was subtle. I wished it was more prominent. First time I've had duck curry and it was a good combination of flavors. The curry hit the spot and I had no complaints. The mango sticky rice is my favorite here! What a nice way to end the meal. Mango seemed fresh and the sauce and rice were spot on. I really liked the crunchy mung bean bits at the top, it added a nice change of texture.

Yelp
So happy I stumbled across this little restaurant during my lunch break! I've seen the name online and they have a few other locations. Indoor seating is limited and they have some eating outdoors too. Service is great and food came out quick! The broth was packed with flavor and really hit the spot. The noodles were nice and thick. I saw lots of takeout orders going in and out. Highly recommend and I am definitely coming back!

Yelp
I've had a lot of Thai food around but this is one of my favorite ones. Inside the restaurant is a little cramp but they do have outdoor seating. We ordered our food to go and tried a variety of the foods. My favorite is by far the Duck Curry. Really enjoyed the deep flavors which pairs really well with the tomatoes and bell peppers in the curry. Surprisingly found lychee in the curry and was pleasantly surprised. The pad see ew and fried chicken were pretty good. The only dish I wasn't a big fan of was the Thai boat noodles. Felt like it was missing something to cut through the heavy beef flavor.

Yelp
Food: The food at this small restaurant was fantastic! I tried the Prik King (Chicken), Chicken Satay, and Mango sticky rice. All were delicious! Service: We were seated immediately upon arrival. The staff were attentive and worked well as a team to serve their diners. Ambiance: The restaurant itself is quite small, with only six small tables inside. They also have outdoor tables equipped with heaters for comfortable dining. This place has a very casual atmosphere. I can imagine that takeout orders are more common than dine-in. It's a neighborhood restaurant.

Yelp
Siam Station is our go-to Thai Place in Irvine. We have been here multiple time, mostly for their pad-thai, and I have to say that it is one of my favorite Thai place in Socal! Located in a plaza in Irvine, plenty of parking Ambience (9/10): They have limited sittings inside, but the outdoor seating is nice too! The place is clean, modern, nicely decorated. Service (9/10): Fast, attentive, and friendly staffs. Food (9.5/10): This place is more casual and does not receive as much hype as Manaao, Chiang Rai, or Hanuman, however, I personally like the flavor profile here more. They are also very consistent and satisfying. Pad Thai (9.5/10): This place has one of the best pad thai in the area! The sauce is savory, tangy and addictive. I like how it is not oily and they are generous with the sauce. I usually do Chicken for the protein. The pork belly, however, can be a hit of a miss. The last few time when we ordered the pork belly as the protein for our pad thai it was chewy and very dry. Khao Soi (8/10): Flavorful and creamy Khao Soi, however, it tastes pretty similar to most places. Similar to pad thai, the pork belly was not consistent. One time it was so crunchy and delicious and the other time it was pretty dry Pad See Ew (6/10): I was quite disappointed with the pad see ew the last time we got it. It was very soy saucy and salty and did not have the wok aroma that usually goes with it. My boyfriend said that they made it better the last time he had it so I will give this dish another chance next time Price (8/10): Reasonable for the area and quality. There were other dishes that we have tried such as the soups and they were decent as well. I you are looking for a comforting and authentic lunch/dinner, this place definitely worth a try!

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. I ordered pad thai, pad kee mao, and crispy rice salad. All were bad, but the biggest offender was the pad kee mao. It tastes like it was not cooked with love, but with apathy. It was absolutely anemic, had no flavor, the "medium" spice level was nonexistent, and every element was cooked badly. Filet mignon: Dry, crumbly, tough, as though someone boiled it hard for an hour. Veg: Nearly raw and bland. Overall, the food is bland and lifeless. Such a sore disappointment and feels like an absolute waste of money. The best part of the meal was the sauce that came with the crispy rice salad. Funky, vibrant and delicious. The salad itself was unremarkable. I usually love crispy rice salads, especially if the Thai place has some Laotian influence. Bonus: my wife found a short dark hair in her food. She doesn't have hair like this on her head.

Yelp
STEPH JUDGEMENT: Good food and service, but just ok ambiance. Met up with a friend here for a weeknight dinner, per her suggestion. Located in an older strip mall, the decor and ambiance wasn't anything to write home about, but it seemed clean and pleasant. I was a bit early so asked if i could get a table for two, but they wouldn't seat me without the complete party present, even when there were open tables, so i had to wait around. When my friend arrived, we were promptly seated. It's not a terribly large place, but they had outdoor seating (which is where we were seated). I wanted to take home a bunch of leftovers, so I ordered a lot: - Thai Arnold Palmer - Green curry with tofu - Pad Thai with Tofu - Pad see ew with tofu - Basil eggplant with tofu The tofu was fried a little too hard, but the flavors were good and the portions were large. Service was nice and fast. Overall it was a fine visit and wouldn't mind meeting up with my friend here again, but I can't say I'd make a special trip.

Yelp
Busy lunch spot. They have a waitlist, but you can order while you're waiting! Service was good. Food was ok. Someone in our group didn't finish their pad Thai. The pineapple fried rice had raisins, of which I'm not a fan. The pad kee mow was ok. Filet mignon and shrimp as protein are $3 extra. The spicy level here is actually spicy. Mango sticky rice was the best dish. After they clear most of the used dishes, they bring out separate dessert dishes and forks. Mango sticky rice beer was bad. Our group didn't like this. Free parking in the lot. Credit card accepted.

Yelp
The Laos style papaya salad is a definitely on the more refreshing side. Very used to the dark, pungent papaya salad - this place did not give that - but they used salted crab which is a plus. Great service for takeout, super quick. Given that it was a Monday night, not a lot of people. The decor was simple + minimalist. Great vibe. Honestly, if you have a craving for Thai food this place hits the spot.

Yelp
I love coming here for lunch! It does get crowded around noon but usually the wait isn't too long if you're flexible on inside versus outside. My favorites are the papaya salad and the duck curry. Pad Thai is always great too!

Yelp
Just ordered for lunch today. Ordered the chicken kapow. My red flag for any restaurant is when the chicken smells and tastes off. Hence the 3 star review. Not good.

Yelp
First time trying Boat Noodle!!! #cherrypopped I wish I took photos of this Thai dining experience. It was a birthday dinner and my cousins and I were all hungry and we just dove in! The rainy weather caused me like the soupy noodle more maybe, but in my opinion... Boat Noodle is if Vietnamese Pho and Taiwanese Beef Noodle had a delicious baby! It so hit the spot and this sent me down a trail of finding more Thai spots with this dish. We also ordered Pad See Ew with crispy pork, Khao Soi with chicken, and Pad Prik King with crispy pork. Damn... the crispy pork was delish!! It was so good in the Pad See Ew. The Prik King was definitely flavorful in terms of spice. We asked for mild but it was definitely hotter. Still good though, but needs rice. Even the Khao Soi was delicious. That was my first time having that as well. I guess two new Thai items under my belt now! The place is definitely intimate and casual. A mom no pop shop for sure! I think there was 6 or 8 tables. The service staff was friendly, but quick for us to leave. It makes sense due to the lack of space. At least they have an outside-ish seating. Not friendly on a raining day though. Parking was super convenient due to the restaurant being in a small shopping center. Overall, I would go back! But maybe for to-go!

Yelp
We got the Pad See Ew with chicken , the Crab fried rice and the Chicken satay. I really appreciated how the food came out really quick and all at the same time too. I really liked the chicken satay, especially the two sauces that came with it. The crab fried rice was yummy and the egg was super soft. I liked how the pad seemed ew wasn't super oily and that the chicken in it was really tender. My only critique would be that both entrees were a bit bland, particularly the pad see ew. But I would for sure come back, especially to try the mango sticky rice that we were way too full to get this time! As for the place itself, there's both indoor and outdoor seating however the restaurant is quite small and can get really busy. The servers were also really attentive and always kept our water cups full.

Yelp
Siam station is a good Thai food restaurant and has a wide range of northern and southern Thai dishes on their menu. Ordered Thai Basil Eggplant with ground chicken and Siam station Fried rice. Both dishes were good. Service was fast and the restaurant has decent seating area both inside and outside the restaurant. They have other dishes on their menu like Khao Soi, Tom Yum Fried Rice/ Noodles and Koong Karee which you don't find at many Thai restaurants.

Yelp
Siam Station on Barranca used to be my favorite Thai spot in Irvine, but the quality has become inconsistent lately. My most recent order of Pad See Ew was so salty it was almost inedible. I really hope they can return to their original standards, as it used to be a local gem.

Yelp
I used to love their Pad Thai--this place was always my go-to and favorite compared to others. But this time, it was missing that usual flavor and had way fewer bean sprouts than before. I also ordered the Tom Yum, which I normally love. Today, though, it was shockingly salty--so much so that after the first sip, I had to put my spoon down. I asked the waitress about it, and while they added more broth, it was still too salty to enjoy. We ended up leaving the entire bowl and didn't even take it to-go. Also, for the price, the Tom Yum only came with four shrimp. While they were good quality, the portion could be more. Khao Soi Noodles were also salty.. we couldn't finish it. Did they even taste the food before serving? I want to love this place like I used to, but consistency matters. No matter how much I've enjoyed it in the past, it's hard to keep coming back when the experience keeps changing.

Yelp
I'm rating this place 3/5 stars based on food. The place was pretty busy so I had high hopes . I was nearby and didn't check reviews . We got seated pretty fast . This is a small place so they had about 4-5 outdoor tables that were being used also. So it seems like people really like this place . We ordered right away and got the food pretty quickly , so that was nice since we were both hungry . Thai food is my favorite so I've been to tons of Thai restaurants. That being said this place was average . It was terrible , I've just had better . Unfortunately I want be back . The problem with the food was lack of spice and flavor . Usually when I go to Thai restaurants they as how spicy I want each dish and here they didn't ask and nothing was spicy . I was pretty disappointed about that because as a Latina I love spice . Everything else was good , prices were reasonable and staff were nice .
