Where to Eat Around the University of California at Irvine (UCI) | Eater LA

"For some Thai street food fare just a short distance away from campus, Siam Station has got you covered. With large, filling portions of classic favorites like papaya salad, pad see ew, and panang curry, it’s a solid stop for a casual meal or a night of takeout. The khao soi — egg noodles served in a hearty coconut curry broth — is a crowd favorite. And don’t forget to finish the meal off with the mango sticky rice." - Cathy Park

Google
I bookmarked this restaurant over a year ago, and I’m glad I finally decided to visit after a recent craving for Thai cuisine—specifically green curry. I can confidently say it exceeded my expectations and has become my new favorite Thai spot. The green curry was exceptional—rich, aromatic, and deeply authentic. The fried rice was flavorful and perfectly balanced, and the orange chicken was delightfully crisp with just the right touch of sweetness. Every dish we tried reflected a clear attention to quality and detail. The service was equally impressive: the staff were genuinely warm, attentive, and professional. The environment was spotless and welcoming, enhancing the overall dining experience. Perhaps most notably, the noodles were among the best I’ve had anywhere in the U.S.—perfectly cooked with a texture and flavor that spoke to culinary expertise. There’s nothing I would change about this restaurant, I just wish they had bigger place and more tables. it delivers on every front

Google
we had lunch at Siam Station – Thai Street Foods. The food was flavorful and authentic. The mushroom soup was light yet aromatic, with a nice balance of herbs and spices – perfect as a starter. The pad noodle was savory and satisfying, with just the right amount of sauce and a nice smoky wok flavor. The atmosphere was cozy and casual, and the service was fast and friendly. A great spot for a tasty and quick Thai lunch!

Google
Great place for thai food. I love the crab fried rice and especially the mango sticky rice. Everything else is mediocre to me. Service: its regular, nothing much to be expected. Ambiance: tight space and lots of time I have to seat outside.

Google
This place is above average for Thai food. Theres just nothing really special about the dishes. Even if you ask for very spicy they give you something that maybe a white person would brake a sweat eating but it just barley tickles my tongue. The food is also about 60% too sweet. Real thai food doesn't taste like it has this much sugar inside it. Overall if you're not expecting real thai food and are okay with the american version of it then this place is good for that.

Google
My best friend and I dined here right at opening time on the weekend. We ordered pad sea ew, papaya salad, and this crossaint curry dish. The last one was my favorite. The pad dish was too sweet for my caliber! I had to add alot of fish sauce to balance it out. The papaya salad lacked flavor and spice. Pricing was fair and service was rather quick. Overall, I am not compelled to come back here.

Google
Not sure why this place has lower reviews since this is one of my favorite thai places. The pineapple fried rice is so good and the khao soi was also really good. Apparently the satay was kinda bland and dry but i didn’t try it. Mango sticky rice is also so good and pretty too! One of my favorite places to go in Irvine. And service was good too and servers were nice

Google
Siam Station is a popular destination for Thai food. The food is very good. Depending on what location you go to the atmosphere is better than other locations. Service is always great and so is the food. I would recommend this place hands down.

Google
We were looking forward to try their food based on the other people reviews. We ordered almost $80 of take out - Egg Rolls, Chicken Satay, Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad Thai and Crispy RO-TI (dessert) and requested extra Peanut sauce for Satay and sweet chili sauce for egg rolls. After spending that much for just 2 apps, 2 simple entrees and a very simple dessert, we were pretty disappointed when they wanted to charge more for extra Peanut sauce... They did provide "extra" chili sauce though in a tiniest (1oz) ramekin (pictured) ever. They made it sounds like it was the biggest favor there was...lol So, their "customer service" doesn't appear to be customer oriented at all... We get it, everything cost $$, especially in our state and it's extremely difficult to run a restaurant... but common... Also, their food tasted subpar at best and had no flavor... Best part about was dessert - Crispy RO-TI. Otherwise we would've giving it a 1 star for food. We're extremely dissatisfied with the taste of the food and service for the amount spent. We don't recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

Yelp
Another stellar visit to our Secret Spot in Irvine. Do you want healthy, fresh, perfectly seasoned food and a reasonable price? Do want to finish a meal and feel you ate really well, and I mean healthy and fresh? Do you want value for your money? No frills? No gimmicks, no reheated, no microwaved, no covered with cheese? no deep fried? no nasty food? Come to Siam Station, our secret spot in Irvine.

Yelp
Siam Station is located in a small lot with Chipotle, McDonald's, and Jam Jam Tea House. The restaurant was packed on Friday night, and both the inside and outside seating were full. We placed a to-go order which comprised of pad see ew with filet mignon (extra $3.50) and chicken wings. The food was ready within 15 minutes. The pad see ew was piping hot and had good flavor. However, it was not chewy and got soggy quickly. Also, not sure if they were really using actual filet mignon or merely labeling it as such, because it just tasted like beef. I have had better pad see ew at a lot of other places, so I would not order this dish again. 3 stars. As for the chicken wings, they were probably one of the saddest appetizers I have ever had. There were about five small wings in the order. They were extremely greasy and had lost their crisp 10 minutes later when I ate them. Furthermore, they tasted like they were fried in recycled, old oil. There was a sweet fish? sauce they came with. However, the wings were still bland after I dipped them in. I chewed on the fried basil leaves and had to spit them out because they had absorbed the old oil. 1 star. I may come back to try their curry and fried rice, but this experience was underwhelming and left a bad taste in my mouth... literally. Better luck next time (I was hungry and did not have a chance to take pictures).

Yelp
Wow, kind of shocked I missed writing a review for Siam! I was thinking I was going to update a 4-5 star review, but unfortunately I need to give a 2 star for my first review. I've been to Siam a LOT over the past year. Started out great. Usually like to order drunken noodles with chicken, medium spicy. (Sometimes I switch it up and do the tom yum noodles too.) It used to have actual SPICE in medium spicy. Now? This is the 3rd time I've ordered take out of this very dish (drunken noodles with chicken) in the last month and there is just NO SPICE. I put down my fork after 3 bites and just opened up Yelp as I was super let down for the 3rd time in a row. Time to take a break from Siam I guess until they give me some actual SPICE. (Take a look at the photo I attached, there is NOTHING spicy about it!)

Yelp
So happy I stumbled across this little restaurant during my lunch break! I've seen the name online and they have a few other locations. Indoor seating is limited and they have some eating outdoors too. Service is great and food came out quick! The broth was packed with flavor and really hit the spot. The noodles were nice and thick. I saw lots of takeout orders going in and out. Highly recommend and I am definitely coming back!

Yelp
Siam Station is our go-to Thai Place in Irvine. We have been here multiple time, mostly for their pad-thai, and I have to say that it is one of my favorite Thai place in Socal! Located in a plaza in Irvine, plenty of parking Ambience (9/10): They have limited sittings inside, but the outdoor seating is nice too! The place is clean, modern, nicely decorated. Service (9/10): Fast, attentive, and friendly staffs. Food (9.5/10): This place is more casual and does not receive as much hype as Manaao, Chiang Rai, or Hanuman, however, I personally like the flavor profile here more. They are also very consistent and satisfying. Pad Thai (9.5/10): This place has one of the best pad thai in the area! The sauce is savory, tangy and addictive. I like how it is not oily and they are generous with the sauce. I usually do Chicken for the protein. The pork belly, however, can be a hit of a miss. The last few time when we ordered the pork belly as the protein for our pad thai it was chewy and very dry. Khao Soi (8/10): Flavorful and creamy Khao Soi, however, it tastes pretty similar to most places. Similar to pad thai, the pork belly was not consistent. One time it was so crunchy and delicious and the other time it was pretty dry Pad See Ew (6/10): I was quite disappointed with the pad see ew the last time we got it. It was very soy saucy and salty and did not have the wok aroma that usually goes with it. My boyfriend said that they made it better the last time he had it so I will give this dish another chance next time Price (8/10): Reasonable for the area and quality. There were other dishes that we have tried such as the soups and they were decent as well. I you are looking for a comforting and authentic lunch/dinner, this place definitely worth a try!

Yelp
One of my favorite thai spots in OC! This time I got their egg rolls, pad thai, drunken noodles, and thai tea. I always get tofu with the noodle dishes, and its always perfectly crispy. I highly recommend the pad thai, and it's not too oily unlike some other places I have been. I think if they asked for spice level, the drunken noodles could have been better. However, they were able to offer us chili sauce which made it more flavorful. Siam station is a small restaurant, so there can be a wait. I recommend bringing a jacket if you're coming in the evening so you could also sit outside.

Yelp
Siam Station is always, consistently FRESH and TASTY. My go-to's are the Pad See Ew, Panang Curry, Yellow Curry, and Crab Fried Rice. Honorable mentions: Pad Thai and Cashew Chicken. Service is fast--our food came out in what felt like 8 minutes after ordering. Usually there's a bit of a wait, but we came in around 2PM on a Saturday and conveniently snagged a table right away. The vibe inside is always nice--Thai pop music playing, cozy atmosphere. I've sat both indoors and outdoors, and no matter where you sit, the staff are super friendly and check on you often. Definitely a favorite spot for solid Thai food!

Yelp
Solid 4-star restaurant! Good food. Good service. Nice decor; not a lot of tables inside, they have some outdoor seating out front too. Save room for the tasty desserts like the roti.

Siyun W.

Yelp
I ordered take out and all the food are really good. Something stood out to me particularly is their mango sticky rice, because it is blue. Despite it looks unappetizing, it tastes really good. It is the perfect amount of sweet and the mango is ripen perfectly. The curry and papaya salad are also really good, they are slightly above average I would so.

Yelp
I've had a lot of Thai food around but this is one of my favorite ones. Inside the restaurant is a little cramp but they do have outdoor seating. We ordered our food to go and tried a variety of the foods. My favorite is by far the Duck Curry. Really enjoyed the deep flavors which pairs really well with the tomatoes and bell peppers in the curry. Surprisingly found lychee in the curry and was pleasantly surprised. The pad see ew and fried chicken were pretty good. The only dish I wasn't a big fan of was the Thai boat noodles. Felt like it was missing something to cut through the heavy beef flavor.
google avatar

Leyon L.

Yelp
I don't throw around the phrase "best ever" lightly, but the tom yum noodle soup here? Yeah, it's that good. The broth is deep, rich, and has the perfect kick of spice without overpowering the other flavors. Every spoonful is a perfect balance of tangy, savory, and comforting. And then there's the mango sticky rice- flawless. Sweet, fresh, and creamy, without being overly sugary. Whatever they're doing here, they need to never stop because it's absolute perfection. Siam Station is the kind of place where you leave feeling like you just had something special. The service is stellar, the space is clean, and the food is unforgettable. If you haven't been, just go. You won't regret it.

Yelp
I used to love their Pad Thai--this place was always my go-to and favorite compared to others. But this time, it was missing that usual flavor and had way fewer bean sprouts than before. I also ordered the Tom Yum, which I normally love. Today, though, it was shockingly salty--so much so that after the first sip, I had to put my spoon down. I asked the waitress about it, and while they added more broth, it was still too salty to enjoy. We ended up leaving the entire bowl and didn't even take it to-go. Also, for the price, the Tom Yum only came with four shrimp. While they were good quality, the portion could be more. Khao Soi Noodles were also salty.. we couldn't finish it. Did they even taste the food before serving? I want to love this place like I used to, but consistency matters. No matter how much I've enjoyed it in the past, it's hard to keep coming back when the experience keeps changing.

Yelp
Service was so quick the food came out quickly. It's a small place so it can get pretty busy, but we got seated right away. Casual small spot that's great for lunch or dinner! We had the crab fried rice, crispy rice salad, green Thai tea, and Zesty Wings!

Mick J.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place. I ordered pad thai, pad kee mao, and crispy rice salad. All were bad, but the biggest offender was the pad kee mao. It tastes like it was not cooked with love, but with apathy. It was absolutely anemic, had no flavor, the "medium" spice level was nonexistent, and every element was cooked badly. Filet mignon: Dry, crumbly, tough, as though someone boiled it hard for an hour. Veg: Nearly raw and bland. Overall, the food is bland and lifeless. Such a sore disappointment and feels like an absolute waste of money. The best part of the meal was the sauce that came with the crispy rice salad. Funky, vibrant and delicious. The salad itself was unremarkable. I usually love crispy rice salads, especially if the Thai place has some Laotian influence. Bonus: my wife found a short dark hair in her food. She doesn't have hair like this on her head.
google avatar

Kenny L.

Yelp
Amazing food with friendly service! We had the crab fried rice and I thought the fried rice itself was delicious; however, the crab flavor was subtle. I wished it was more prominent. First time I've had duck curry and it was a good combination of flavors. The curry hit the spot and I had no complaints. The mango sticky rice is my favorite here! What a nice way to end the meal. Mango seemed fresh and the sauce and rice were spot on. I really liked the crunchy mung bean bits at the top, it added a nice change of texture.

Yelp
Went there for lunch with 5 other people. Location is not large and can get busy during lunch. They do have outdoor seating as well. The food was good and the portions were a good size. Food did not come out as quickly as I would have liked. One dish came out then minutes later 4 more dishes came out and then minutes later my dish (drunken noodles came out). I wouldn't recommend dining in. I think to go orders would work best for this location. Parking lot is small so you may have to circle during peak hours.
google avatar

Jen B.

Yelp
Food: The food at this small restaurant was fantastic! I tried the Prik King (Chicken), Chicken Satay, and Mango sticky rice. All were delicious! Service: We were seated immediately upon arrival. The staff were attentive and worked well as a team to serve their diners. Ambiance: The restaurant itself is quite small, with only six small tables inside. They also have outdoor tables equipped with heaters for comfortable dining. This place has a very casual atmosphere. I can imagine that takeout orders are more common than dine-in. It's a neighborhood restaurant.

Yelp
First time trying Boat Noodle!!! #cherrypopped I wish I took photos of this Thai dining experience. It was a birthday dinner and my cousins and I were all hungry and we just dove in! The rainy weather caused me like the soupy noodle more maybe, but in my opinion... Boat Noodle is if Vietnamese Pho and Taiwanese Beef Noodle had a delicious baby! It so hit the spot and this sent me down a trail of finding more Thai spots with this dish. We also ordered Pad See Ew with crispy pork, Khao Soi with chicken, and Pad Prik King with crispy pork. Damn... the crispy pork was delish!! It was so good in the Pad See Ew. The Prik King was definitely flavorful in terms of spice. We asked for mild but it was definitely hotter. Still good though, but needs rice. Even the Khao Soi was delicious. That was my first time having that as well. I guess two new Thai items under my belt now! The place is definitely intimate and casual. A mom no pop shop for sure! I think there was 6 or 8 tables. The service staff was friendly, but quick for us to leave. It makes sense due to the lack of space. At least they have an outside-ish seating. Not friendly on a raining day though. Parking was super convenient due to the restaurant being in a small shopping center. Overall, I would go back! But maybe for to-go!

Yelp
Thai food is my favorite and this spot is definitely up there! The pad see ew is perfect and the portions are so good! I had plenty of leftovers. They make their roti super crispy and flakey soooo yum definitely get it!!!

Yelp
STEPH JUDGEMENT: Good food and service, but just ok ambiance. Met up with a friend here for a weeknight dinner, per her suggestion. Located in an older strip mall, the decor and ambiance wasn't anything to write home about, but it seemed clean and pleasant. I was a bit early so asked if i could get a table for two, but they wouldn't seat me without the complete party present, even when there were open tables, so i had to wait around. When my friend arrived, we were promptly seated. It's not a terribly large place, but they had outdoor seating (which is where we were seated). I wanted to take home a bunch of leftovers, so I ordered a lot: - Thai Arnold Palmer - Green curry with tofu - Pad Thai with Tofu - Pad see ew with tofu - Basil eggplant with tofu The tofu was fried a little too hard, but the flavors were good and the portions were large. Service was nice and fast. Overall it was a fine visit and wouldn't mind meeting up with my friend here again, but I can't say I'd make a special trip.
google avatar

Clara C.

Yelp
Busy lunch spot. They have a waitlist, but you can order while you're waiting! Service was good. Food was ok. Someone in our group didn't finish their pad Thai. The pineapple fried rice had raisins, of which I'm not a fan. The pad kee mow was ok. Filet mignon and shrimp as protein are $3 extra. The spicy level here is actually spicy. Mango sticky rice was the best dish. After they clear most of the used dishes, they bring out separate dessert dishes and forks. Mango sticky rice beer was bad. Our group didn't like this. Free parking in the lot. Credit card accepted.
google avatar

Yelp
Tried Siam Station with my coworkers and it did not disappoint! They've got a really good selection of classic Thai dishes, everything from stir fried noodles and curry to fried rice. The flavors were bold, the ingredients tasted fresh, and everything came out hot and fast. The menu has something for everyone, and their mango sticky rice dessert is a must try. Whether you're in the mood for something comforting or something with a kick, this Thai place has you covered.

Yelp
We got the Pad See Ew with chicken , the Crab fried rice and the Chicken satay. I really appreciated how the food came out really quick and all at the same time too. I really liked the chicken satay, especially the two sauces that came with it. The crab fried rice was yummy and the egg was super soft. I liked how the pad seemed ew wasn't super oily and that the chicken in it was really tender. My only critique would be that both entrees were a bit bland, particularly the pad see ew. But I would for sure come back, especially to try the mango sticky rice that we were way too full to get this time! As for the place itself, there's both indoor and outdoor seating however the restaurant is quite small and can get really busy. The servers were also really attentive and always kept our water cups full.

Yelp
First time trying khao soi and I was blown away. So flavorful, rich, and delicious. The chicken satay with the peanut sauce is a must try. Service was okay and seating was very limited.
google avatar

Yelp
Siam station is a good Thai food restaurant and has a wide range of northern and southern Thai dishes on their menu. Ordered Thai Basil Eggplant with ground chicken and Siam station Fried rice. Both dishes were good. Service was fast and the restaurant has decent seating area both inside and outside the restaurant. They have other dishes on their menu like Khao Soi, Tom Yum Fried Rice/ Noodles and Koong Karee which you don't find at many Thai restaurants.
google avatar

Hailey S.

Yelp
came here before they closed for dinner time so they were only taking to-go orders. the inside is clean and has a few places to dine in and there were a few tables outside as well. i got the tom yum soup and it was yummy! it had nice flavor and the shrimp was large! however, the ground chicken in the broth was not my favorite. it had a slight gamey taste

Yelp
I'm rating this place 3/5 stars based on food. The place was pretty busy so I had high hopes . I was nearby and didn't check reviews . We got seated pretty fast . This is a small place so they had about 4-5 outdoor tables that were being used also. So it seems like people really like this place . We ordered right away and got the food pretty quickly , so that was nice since we were both hungry . Thai food is my favorite so I've been to tons of Thai restaurants. That being said this place was average . It was terrible , I've just had better . Unfortunately I want be back . The problem with the food was lack of spice and flavor . Usually when I go to Thai restaurants they as how spicy I want each dish and here they didn't ask and nothing was spicy . I was pretty disappointed about that because as a Latina I love spice . Everything else was good , prices were reasonable and staff were nice .

Yelp
Stopped here on Saturday night for dinner and we're pleasantly surprised by how delightful this was for being in a random strip mall across from the El Pollo Loco. There was a bit of a wait and not really much place to stand but luckily we were seated fairly quickly even though this is a surprisingly small setup. The staff were kind and attentive during our entire meal. It gets pretty crowded here so I was really impressed with the speed of service. We go the tom kha fried rice and the pad see ew with chicken. Both were delicious and made excellent leftovers as well. We also got the Thai iced tea - very sweet and very yummy.
google avatar

Taylor U.

Yelp
Good thai food but a bit pricey. Came here with a group of friends. Had 6 people in a party and we get charged 18% service fee for any party of 6 or more. The restaurant is pretty small; there's seatings inside and outside. I ordered the basil fried rice ($15) with additional crispy pork ($3). Fried rice tasted good but for $18, it's a bit pricey. Also expected little bit more pork. The egg roll and shrimp rolls are good. Tried my friends crab rice and it tasted delicious. A bit pricey but good. Also I like that the menu prices are rounded to a whole number. I really like that. Like dishes are $10, $15, $17, etc.
google avatar

Yelp
Great little Thai spot with located near a corporate plaza with plenty of parking. The space has limited seating but there are some seats outside. The wait times can be pretty long during peak hours, but if you get it to go, the weight is a little shorter. I've been here a couple times to get take out, specifically the Tom Kha Kai soup. There's something about this soup that just hits the spot. It's has a rich coconut flavor, with the right balance of sour and spicy. I've never been disappointed whenever it ordered it. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Maheen K.

Yelp
We came here yesterday for lunch. They have a system in which you have to put down how many people and the entire party has to be present to be seated. We were seated and ordered quickly. I was impressed by how fast our food came out and everything was piping hot! My panang curry with shrimp was great. I asked for 5 spice level, and it was perfect to my liking. The shrimp inside were huge pieces, but I had hoped to receive one or two more pieces for the extra $3 charge. The coocnut base helped balance put the heat. The shrimp rolls were a great addition to our meal as an appetizer. I believe you get 6 pieces in one order. This place does get busy, so either come early or late to beat rush hour parking and traffic.
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
i had been excited to try this place but was disappointed after the chicken in my pad see ew was extremely dry. seemed like a consistent theme throughout all 4 people in my group as my friend's pork in the pad see ew was way too crunchy to the point that it was stale. noodles were on point but it was hard to swallow the meat sometimes. one of the waitresses had some attitude and was upset at us since we were waiting for one more person in our party. we ended up sitting outside and all the gas from the cars and heat lamp right next to us was overwhelming. would not recommend the outdoor seating
google avatar

Raneem K.

Yelp
Came here to Siam station last night . There was no wait if you wanted to be seated in the first available seating. We were a party of 2, and we chose to sit outside. There's both inside and outside seating available. The menu offers a lot of variety and has some interesting options. I found it a bit odd that for the pad see ew didn't come with a built in option of either tofu or chicken? Usually it comes with either option and if you want to upgrade you pay extra. For either tofu or chicken we had to add $3 , so beware of that! We ended up ordering the Pad See Ew, with tofu and the Khao Soi with chicken. The food was delicious and didn't take too long to come out. I really enjoyed our food, and would come back again to try more items off their menu.

Yelp
Soo cute! Surprisingly a lot of asian restaraunts in this small plaza, turn in right before you see McDonald's, past the business looking buildings. Not that much parking. We luckily got in right before the rush. Because the place is small, the waiters are super attentive. My eyes tend to wander and accidently made eye contact and they immediately came lolol. Tried the pad thai- not too sweet, decent portion. Chicken okay, not dry. Fried well but not wok hei. Got the papaya salad myself- less pungent and more lemon mix. Its good for a western palate, they do have a lao version too. Not spicy at all [ they did have individually wrapped chilis if you ask) ]. The papaya was a nice crunch and tender, with some vinegar flavor. I liked the sweetness of the green beans. Wish it had more peanuts hehe. Mango sticky rice- great flavor and mangos were perfect ( in season) not overly ripe or spur. Only thing was the sticky rice was long grain. But quite pretty. Overall the prices are a little cheaper than other Thai restaraunts in the area, very attentive staff ( Square cc system with 18% base tip), and portions are decent. Limited seating both inside and outside so it will fill up fast with not much space to wait ( there is a boba shop in the same plaza), but turnover seemed okay.

Yelp
A go to local favorite whenever I'm craving Thai food. Siam Station is a small restaurant and has limited seating but the food is worth the wait. The food is authentic and the quality of ingredients is high as well. Some of my favorite dishes here are the crab fried rice, red curry, and mango sticky rice. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and you can tell why it's a classic spot that everyone goes to.

Yelp
If you know me, you know I'm a big noodle fan. Got to try khao soi after errands last week. For those who haven't tried, it's a thick "spicy" curry broth with egg noodles, crispy noodles, shallots, and cabbage. Don't forget to squeeze the lime for that extra tang! Curry and noodles are right up my alley now that it's colder now.
google avatar

Christian Vincent M.

Yelp
Very good for takeout. Not a whole lot of seating if you want to dine in. It's a fast pace organization lol. That's why the names after a station. Food is great and isn't too salty or overwhelming. I wish there were more vegetarian options or at least if we take out meat from the entree chip the price down a little

Yelp
I've eaten here a few times and am conflicted! The first time I tried it, I ordered pad Thai and papaya salad via door dash and both were cooked perfectly and packaged beautifully. The second time I ordered via door dash, we asked for spice via the note section and it was not fulfilled and overall food was just okay. The last visit we had was in-restaurant and the pad Thai again was so good however the crispy rice salad had too much of a lime flavor and we felt too much rice. Overall we will be back but there are other Thai restaurants that we feel are better

Yelp
Their dishes were hands down delicious, I can see why people were lining up! Hole in the wall spot? It's a small restaurant where both indoors and outdoor seating was filled. Really good spot for Thai food. We ordered catfish, roasted duck curry, crab fried rice, eggplant and tofu, and green Thai tea. Everything tasted great! Service was really attentive and quick and it didn't take too long for the food to come out. Would love to come back, curious to see what the other dishes taste like!

Yelp
Everything we tried had very strong flavors - nothing was bland/dry. It was just barelyyy too much for me with the sodium and sweetness. That's my only complaint. All the classics like Pad Thai, Tom Yum, Pad See Ew, Beef Salad, and fried rice were all great. Would definitely go again! I totally see why people come right when they open to get their names on the list.

Yelp
The worst service I have ever experienced in my life. The staff were basically yelling at us (and no, I'm not exaggerating) when we politely asked for an extra to-go plate -- which they outright refused to provide. The portion of white rice was the tiniest I've ever seen, not even enough for a kid's meal. The food itself was average at best, definitely overpriced for the quality and quantity. Bottom line: DON'T go there.

Yelp
Tried Siam Station today because we were craving thai food and it was amazing! Kind of ordered with my eyes but thats alright because the food was so good. I've never had khao soi so I wanted to try it and wow was it good. The creaminess, a hint of spice, paired perfectly with the egg noodles is something to die for. Their pineapple fried rice is one for the books! So flavorful!!!! We were so stuffed but it was just so good I kept thinking about it. Definitely recommend if you're in the area because while you wait theres JamJam tea house next door!! :3

Yelp
Small place. Clean but seatings kind of tight. Chris the server was excellent! The staff work hard and well. Only thing that we don't like - the music was way too loud that we can't have a decent time without having to yell. I was exhausted when I got home. The food was pretty good. Glad the pad see ew not too sweet for our group didn't like anything that's so sweet. Diabetes on the rise!!! We spent well over $150 for a party of 5 plus take out dishes. It was a bit chilly and we asked if they can close the door for a bit. The other server girl refused because management is more concerned about their Thai music!!! Would come back for Chris but not sure about the loud music.. Not everyone is into loud music. Maybe they are trying to tone down the kitchen noise but we go out to hang out and enjoy dinner catching up with our loved ones. The review will do better otherwise...

Yelp
We got to Siam Station at 8pm. I was excited to try the place. The restaurant is small but cozy. And I'm sure that normally it looks nice. However, as soon as we walked in, we were told they have already done last call and we would need to order immediately. This is an hour before they close. The things is they were pretty rude about it. We were seated in a corner where we had to compete with house plants for head space. The rudeness continued. They would not tolerate questions about the menu nor asked as once how we liked the food. The food was ok. I mean most Thai places taste like this. How can you close down an hour before closing? And how can you be so rude to paying customers? Very disappointed.

Yelp
My husband and I love the spices and the taste enhancers they offer - we eat it with every bite. Unfortunately, after today we will be trying the other thai restaurants in irvine. I had a take out order of four main dishes and upon pick up i asked for the spices. The waitress gave just one set and when i asked for more (because i ordered four dishes for four people) she responded that their policy is just one. This was surprising to hear because just last month i was able to receive spices for each of the dishes i ordered. She kept denying me and I told her two more times that this was never a problem. Then with attitude, she responded "ok" and gave me the rest of the spices. If the policy had changed since last month and she had shown me the written document of their policy i would have understood. But she just kept saying no and as someone takes into consideration of food quality and service, this left a bad mark for me. If the policy had changed, please have a note on the website or at the location so customers are not surprised and received with attitude. I left feeling so horrible that i could not enjoy the food as much as i would have.

Yelp
First time trying Siam station on the evening before Thanksgiving and it was a great spontaneous choice with my friend. I got the Panang curry with extra chilies and the flavor is rich in coconut milk, decadent complimentary spices and chicken as protein of choice. The service was fast and overall a new go-to for my Thai food cravings.

Yelp
Unfortunately, Siam Station was such a let down. I came around the opening time for dinner, and there were already patrons getting to go orders, but my family and I were among the first ones to be seated for dinner. The service was prompt, and the food came out at a good timing. It's a very small restaurant with maybe like 5-6 tables inside and a few tables outside. As for the food, we ordered everything spicy, but it tasted like no spice was added whatsoever. Even the chili peppers had no spice to them, so if you like spice, ask for extra extra extra spice. - Tom Yum with Shrimp: Shrimp was great, very fresh and had a good crunch to it. The soup itself had a nice balance of flavor, and like I said previously, despite all of the chili peppers in the soup, there was no spice at all. - Pad Seew with Chicken: Probably the BIGGEST disappointment of all. The pad seew was so bland, as if they were missing the sauce all together. It didn't really even taste like pad seew. I do appreciate the veggies having a nice crunch to it, but damn, overall, a skip. - Crispy Rice Salad: Probably my favorite of the night, great flavor and I love the crunch of the rice. - Catfish: Salty, which definitely contrasted to the salt levels in other dishes, but tastes good with rice. Well coated in sauce. - Roasted Duck Curry: Pretty good, good amount of duck in there. There was lychee in here, which I thought was a good addition, nice touch of sweetness. As for the service, started out good, but didn't end great. I had asked for boxes to go, and I initially calculated 5 boxes in my head so I had asked one of the girls for 5 boxes. Her reaction: "5????" with her eyes wide. I had to then go through each dish I wanted to take home with her for her to agree to get the boxes for me, which ended up being 3 at first. However, I realized that we didn't include the extra rice, so when she came back, I had asked her to bring another box for us, and she didn't make any eye contact and didn't say a single word - overall, just didn't seem as though she was happy that I had asked for to go boxes. My bad for initially miscounting the boxes though. Likely will not be returning, as I feel there are much better Thai Restaurants with better overall service and food.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem that I wanted to keep as a 'hidden gem' as it gets busy busy and I didn't want it to get even busier. However I am no longer gate keeping. We come here a lot for lunch and it has been consistently good each and every time. We have tried the following - Chicken satay Egg rolls Pad thai Pad see ew Tom yum soup Parang curry w rice Mango sticky rice Crispy ro-ti I want to try more of the menu however cannot seem to get past these items. We tried the crispy ro-ti yesterday for the first time after seeing someone next to us eating it. When I tell you this is life changing - I have not stopped thinking about it. It is light and crispy and the condensed milk - straight perfection! I am a huge dessert person so this was everything to me. The parang curry and pad see ew is def our favorite. However I know I will be craving the Tom yum soup as the weather starts changing. If you are in the area - strongly recommend. For lunch, there is always a line and it gets busy. Get there early and put your name down. Generally goes quite fast as their service is quick and friendly. Cannot wait to go back.
