Very authentic sichuan food. Definitely much better than the vast majority of places in SF while being a fraction of the price. Highly recommend.
Dishes:
夫妻肺片 ("Couple's delight" on the menu) - Really authentic flavor.
豆腐鱼片 (Tofu Fish Fillets) - Fish was fresh and sauce was good.
鱼香肉丝 (Shredded Pork with Garlic Sauce) - Sour and sweetness was balanced well. It's normally tough to find this dish done right around here, so was honestly surprised.

Staff was nice, they have a good variety for lunch and masks are worn.
Unfortunately the Mapo Tofu was absolutely horrible, had no flavor and even the tofu itself tasted off. Sauce was not spicy nor flavorful.

The meal we had was superb. Flavorful, not too salty. The crispy tofu was light and crunchy, our string beans were perfectly cooked, and the pork ribs was tender and fell off the bones. It is a no nonsense family restaurant thy was very reasonably priced and the service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

The food is really solid and the service is quick and friendly. I’ve had Sichuan food at a bunch of different restaurants in SF and around the Bay Area, and Sichuan Chong Qing Cuisine is as comparable to some of the more famous places like Z&Y.
Seems like a family-owned and run operation. Very reasonable prices for the quality and amount of food they serve.

Outstanding Sichuan specialties. The seasoning was on point, the dishes were delicious, the spice was tasty but not overwhelming. The restaurant routinely has Chinese customers, attesting to its quality.

Order from the Chong Qing Specialties menu if you want some solidly tasty food. Cold beef tripe appetizer was tender and flavorful, as was the Twice Cooked Pork. We also had the Chong Qing Fish in Spicy Sauce. Plenty of mouth burning numbing spice and quality ingredients. I recall eating here a few years ago, and it delivered this time too on a solid afternoon lunch. Bravo!

My GF and I order the "Fish in spicy oil" every sichuan place we go. We felt that this place was the best for this dish, including Z&Y, Sichuan Home, and Sichuan Kitchen. That said, there mapo tofu was very disappointing, with little to no flavor.

Awesome Chinese food! Would highly recommend: wonton soup, bak choy, shrimp fried rice and green beans. Also, hunan beef. I think it tastes better than Mongolian beef at other Chinese restaurants. Their chili oil is delicious also.
