This is the classiest karaoke venue I have had the joy to experience. Not knocking my KJ friends one bit, and there are pros and cons, personal taste, etc. to the different flavors of karoake.
All varieties are good, some are better, and a few are ...
It is one thing to sing with a recorded song in the background, and it is a joy. It is another thing to be singing with a piano player who is playing a real physical instrument, adjusting the volume, tempo to you.
There is a unique and certain vibe about this place.
Anyway, it's way past bedtime, so in a nutshell, I felt safe walking from my car trans the street. because the DC police -- thank you -- infuse Union Market. The man who seems to be the franchise(?) owner here has a calm, steady and kind gravitas.
The servers, I noticed three are courteous, calm, and compassionate.
You'll have to wait and hear the piano players. Words fall short. Dan, Zach, thank you.
You can carry on conversations here, because the music is not damn deafening.
The most beautiful thing is how husbands and wives, spouses, partners, friends, and even former strangers, come together and encourage one another to have a good time, and to enjoy the variety of talent we've been given.
It is wonderful to experience a temporay place of refuge and relaxation for a while singing their hearts out, knowing we are here to have a good time, not to look down on anybody,m. In addition, there is extraordinary talent behind the keys, microphones, bar. And the bathrooms, both of them are darn clean.
Wanting to post some photos and videos, but don't yet have permission .
Drinkers and non-alcoholic drinkers have plenty of choices. The ginger was great.
Graham found his boice with encouragement.
Erick and Elaine grew and so will their family I want to hear them sing Endless Love. Love never ends
David and John.
I can't rememsber the last time I heard so many extraordinarily beautiful singers. I miss my father's and stepdather's voices, Maybe the reason I focus on the men.
We see one anothers wounds and hopes, sorrows and joys at Sid Gokd's . And we sing together, solo, duet, trinity, quartethquinten to persevere
