"This Brixton cocktail bar might be called Sidechick, but it’s in real danger of becoming a lot of people’s long-term partner. What was a historic pie and mash shop is now a shiny new bar, though some original features like the stone pebble floor have been kept. A remix on a pornstar martini sounds particularly promising as does a fat washed—you heard that right, cholesterol—aged rum with coffee and coconut. Alongside the drinks there’ll be a short food menu inspired by American soul food. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Popped in here early on a wet Saturday night. What a gem of a place. We were immediately greeted by the friendly guys behind the bar, who told us there was a pool table upstairs. We had three cocktails each which we thought were reasonably priced compared to central London which has crazy prices and they were very good! Played pool and listened to some great tunes. We also tried the chicken bites which were delicious. Love the decor and style of the venue itself, whoever designed it has great taste! But most of all the service we received was notable, we will be back!

Really stylish and cute venue, wonderful cocktails… Super helpful staff, definitely a great place to spend your evening. Great for a date or hangout with friends with the snooker table upstairs. Definitely check out next time you are on a night out in Brixton.

My wife and I had the pleasure of discovering side chick bar on our recent visit to Brixton. We received such a warm welcome! The menu was deliciously unique… but we were in the mood for a little bit of nostalgia to reminisce about our honeymoon. The cocktail we wanted wasn’t on the menu… but the bar tender was more than happy to put it together for us. The bar itself has retained the character of Brixton, whilst introducing the style and finesse of a stylish central London cocktail venue. We can’t thank you all enough for such a wonderful night and we can’t wait to come back soon. Love from Paul and Jodie ❤️

We had a beautiful evening here with wonderful drinks, excellent music, and great friendly service from a lovely waiter. We were a group and given table seating together. It delighted my friends they could chat in French with the Parisian waiter.

Food was good tbh really good but was greeted by quite a rude security on the door which kind of put a dampener on the mood previously security were really kind, bar staff were okay though . Second time coming on the weekend and was disappointed this time around
