It had been a while since I last visited the Sidecut in the Four Seasons Whistler, mainly because it’s a bit out of the village, but I’m so glad I went back. Free valet parking when dining at Sidecut is a great bonus. The food was absolutely phenomenal, it’s been a long time since I’ve been wowed like this. The oysters, scallops, beef tartare, and foie gras parfait were all pure perfection. Service was warm, friendly, and made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Google
Delicious food, amazing service. Service is very warm and friendly 😁 Our order was New York Striploin: I got it with the blueberry(?) dry rub and it was excellent. But I wish I ordered the ribeye instead, as the striploin was a little too tough Ribeye: 10/10. My partner ordered this without any dry rub. I would love to know this tastes with their dry rub. We ordered both steaks medium rare. For sides Broccolini: Looks plain, but has excellent flavor Mushrooms: A little too much vinegar used, but pairs nicely with the steak. Also delicious. Generous portions for the sides. I ordered their Cold as Rice cocktail and loved it so much. I couldn't really taste the alcohol, but I suppose that's understandable with sake. Very smooth and slightly sweet. I enjoyed the lychee flavor. Oh almost forgot, the bread and maple butter was good. But the steak was so good that I forgot about the bread. Overall super happy with Sidecut.

Google
Steaks are very well prepared and drinks are on point at Sidecut. The server we had was super friendly and even gave the kids at our table a tour of the kitchen while the parents were figuring out their orders. Love the upscale cozy ambiance. Definitely the steakhouse of choice in Whistler Village.

Absolutely in love with Sidecut - from the incredible staff to the warm, inviting ambiance. After some underwhelming experiences at other highly rated spots, we ended up dining here two nights in a row. The first night, we tried the tasting menu, and it was hands down the best I've ever had (and I’ve experienced over 20+). We loved it so much, we returned the next evening for the normal dinner menu, again with our amazing server, Oscar. He was attentive, thoughtful, and made both nights feel extra special, along with the rest of the team. I’d return in a heartbeat - if only they had a location closer to home in the U.S.! Thank you for making my birthday dinner unforgettable!

Google
Quite great restaurant. April is very slow season so easy to get seat now. Prix Fixe Course meal was just okay option- 2nd course, Octopus was the best ! Tenderloin steak was little dried, lost most juice and Foie gras was not melting in mouth any more. Service is real high-end ! Moody and luxurious reataurant in Four Season Whistler Hotel.

Google
The place is calm and very intimate, the staff was great but, nothing was outstanding, all what we ordered was average and to be honest there are better options in whistler, it was convenient because we were staying at the hotel.

Google
Wanted to love this place just because the hotel is so amazing. The service was very good and the decor was nice, but the food was disappointing. Strange fake smoke flavored deconstructed gem Caesar salad, with mayo as dressing and the sauced up and over cooked rib eye which was supposed to be just salt and pepper were both pretty off.

Google
Expensive, but my goodness absolutely delicious and well worth it for a special evening dinner! Of course the service is top notch. We ordered their beef wellington and it was picture perfect. We enjoyed both cocktails and wine. I’d recommend their Golden Bridge Sour. The Vulcan De Fuego was a fun drink with dramatic presentation, presented in a box filled with rosemary smoke. Overall I’d say worth a visit on a special occasion, even if you’re not staying at the Four Seasons. Note: The restaurant is tucked away behind another restaurant in the hotel, so it may be confusing. That said, you can just ask the folks at the front and they can guide you to Sidecut.

Yelp
We had an absolutely wonderful meal this evening. We shared the Caesar salad and pumpkin soup and then each had the tenderloin with the classic rub at medium rare. We followed up dinner with a dark chocolate soufflé. The food was cooked perfectly. The service was friendly, professional, and attentive. There was a large fireplace to enjoy and the space was not too loud. We will definitely come back to Sidecut Steakhouse!

Yelp
Because of an Amex Plat perk, our stay at the Four Seasons Whistler included $220 worth of dining credit. So we decided to take ourselves to their fancy steakhouse one night. They only have reservations from 6 and 8 PM. For drinks, I had some kind of pineapple mocktail. It was overly sweet and a little too sour. I ended up watering it down myself, but it would have been nice with some seltzer in it to make it less sweet. Hubby had the Third Pole (Angel's Envy bourbon, artichoke amaro, chaga tea with cardamom and sarsaparilla bark, lemon, Bittered Sling Kensington Aromatic Bitters), which is inspired by a whiskey sour. I do like how unique their cocktails are - each are 'inspired' by a classic cocktail, and they put their own spin on it. They started us off with some freshly baked rosemary bread with maple butter. The bread was really good, but the butter was even better. I didn't think I liked maple, but this butter may have converted me. I found myself eating more of the bread just so I could eat the butter. For mains, I went with the Miso Cod (dark white miso glaze, pickled daikon, momiji oroshi and ponzu emulsion) and he had the 20 oz bone-in striploin. My cod was very tender and fresh. Texture-wise, it might have been the best cod I've ever eaten. Forget about the frozen filets you see in the supermarket. This was nothing like that. The flavor was just okay - too much going on. Also, the pickled daikon that was mentioned on the menu was just pickled ginger. The steak was much bigger than we thought it would be - we thought it would be mostly bone, but it's nice that it wasn't. Hubby seemed to enjoy it, and it was cooked to the requested medium rare. We also had a side of the Yukon Potato Puree with Confit Garlic, which our waitress said is enough for more people, but that also came with more than we expected. It was good but very rich and I kind of wish I opted for a veggie of some sort instead. We skipped dessert but while we were talking to the waitress, the topic of babies came up and we mentioned we were on our babymoon. She was very sweet and brought out a dessert on the house. It had a pistachio macaron, some sort of chocolate caramel tort, and some berries. It was a nice, sweet finish to the meal. We probably would not have dined here had we not had the dining perk but I'm glad it gave us a chance to check it out, because it was a nice experience.

Yelp
Service was AMAZING! The steak wasn't really worth the price. My husband found his to be a bit over done. He ordered the med/rare. I got the oysters and they were delicious! I would go back simply for those. Ambiance was very enjoyable with the fire in the middle of the room and overlooking the pool area. Definitely will be our go to steakhouse when my family and I visit Whistler!

Yelp
Elevator advertising worked! Hubby saw the olive-fed A5 wagyu poster and decided that he needed it for dinner! Lol! I reminded him our last A5 experience in SF, so we just shared a 4oz and a seafood tower. This was a better A5 experience and taste than what I remembered in SF pre-covid. I would recommend it..but I think 2oz/person is more than enough due to how rich/fatty the meat is. Nothing really to write home on the seafood tower except I discovered Chef's Creek oysters, but that's just 2 oysters out of the whole tower. For being in BC, I had higher expectations on the rest of the seafood offerings... Service was great, love the restaurant ambience.

Yelp
FOOD, SERVICE, AMBIANCE is all . Our server, Jessica, was so exceptional and truly made our experience from good to great. It was a busy night and we didn't enjoy our halibut much, but the steak was delicious and the wine selection was on point. I never finish my desserts (not a sweets person) but the chocolate pistachio dish was phenomenal!! My husband loved the brownie dish too! This might be our new favorite spot when we visit Whistler.

Yelp
Lovely Ambiance here ... no bar in the restaurant but the drinks were delicious. We started with vodka Martini w blue cheese stuffed olives. Staff was and friendly and our waiter, Damien, was vey knowledgable, efficient and professional. We started by sharing Grilled Octopus which was flavorful, tender & very nicely prepared. Second course... we shared a Gem Lettuce Caesar Salad which they spit for us in the kitchen and was tasty and fresh. For our main course, we shared the 16 ounce Ribeye Steak served medium rare and a side of Kale w Caramelized onions. The temperature of the steak was perfect and the flavor was great! We both found the entire meal to be delicious!

Yelp
Our go to place when we are in whistler not just because we stay in the four season mostly every time. Everything is best of best. I love the fresh green juice at breakfast, it taste as if you just made it in your own kitchen, so super fresh. Drinks at the bar are also really creative. Beautiful decor and not to mention, top class service.

Yelp
This place is excellent. I was initially hesitant about going here because the prices looked insane, but I'm so so glad we stopped by. Coming from NYC, we know good food - and this place set a new bar for dinners in Whistler! My husband and I were able to do the tasting menu for $68/person which was an excellent and varied four course sampling. Everything tasted SO INCREDIBLY GOOD. I literally couldn't get over it; I loved every bite and was so pleasantly surprised. Whistler is definitely every foodies paradise, but Sidecut really stands out among the restaurants in the area. For the quality and amount of food in the 4 course tasting menu, they could have easily charged twice as much. We really enjoyed the lamb loin, (which was superbbbb), the sweetbreads (flavor was amazing) and the duck (perfect mix of lean and fatty). Plates were so thoughtfully plated- excellent textures and colors and flavors melding together. The desserts were also excellent - really loved the pear bliss (pear based mousse) and the decadent chocolate cake. We also enjoyed the creative cocktail menu based on mountains! Ambiance is dreamy, dimly lit with dark wood and stone and a large central fireplace. Great place for a date or a nice family meal. Staff were so friendly and from all over - we talked with staff from Greece and Australia! Overall such a lovely experience and excellent meal in Whistler. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Long over due... my friends and I took a trip out to Whistler late March and for our last night we were able to get reservations at Sidecut Steakhouse... let me tell you it did not disappoint. Everything from the ambiance, the service, and food was on point! We ordered a lot of food for 3 of us, the Long-Bone Age Dried Rib Eye, Seafood Tower, Wild Myshroom Risotto... everything was perfect! My favorite was the oysters and the ceviche from the tower... the steak was perfect! Our server was Lison (so?) she was sooo kind, very happy, and cared about her job and it showed! Thank you Lison and staff! Don't know when I'll come back to Whistler but I'm definitely coming back to eat here when I do!

Yelp
Despite several stays in the hotel and PR, we had been reluctant to try Sidecut as we are pescatarian. Finally at the urging of a friend gave it a try and wow, spectacular for the seafood lovers. Service was impeccable but personable and we were delighted to learn that there is a Japanese chef that leds the seafood options. Tried the sashimi, local oysters, seafood risotto and mixed seafood grill. Everything was top shelf and we enjoyed the variety. We will be back and another reasons we'll be loyal patrons to this FS property!

Yelp
Took a trip out to Whistler for a snowboarding trip and decided to try a fancy (bougie) steakhouse at the four seasons hotel called Sidecut! My buddies and I walked in and immediately felt a bit out of place because it was such a fancy spot and we were pretty much in sweats. So just a heads up, not a suit and tie spot but definitely not a spot to dress down. We each ordered ourselves a steak and sides that we wanted and got some beers as well. They served us some bread and herb butter that was absolutely delicious! The bread was warm, with a crunchy exterior and fluffy soft interior, and it felt like it came right out the oven! The butter with it was amazing delicious with herbs that helped it to give it some depth of flavor that really helped it to give it some extra flavor that really put it over the top and was quite literally the best bread and butter I've ever had at a restaurant. I got the Bone In Sirloin, and it was amazing! Seasoned well and cooked to medium rare perfection, it was tender and moist with a nice sear on the outside and well seasoned without being salty. We got some sides of sautéed mushrooms which were so tasty and Mac and cheese which was also delicious! The mushrooms were cooked perfectly, had a slight bite and seasoned to perfection, while the Mac and cheese was baked with bread crumbs and a rice cheese sauce. Overall it was an amazing experience and would definitely recommend going!

Yelp
Sidecut is by far our number 1 stop for a quality meal when in Whistler. Mountain town food isn't always the best, but here at Sidecut, they are next level. To our surprise, the seafood and steaks were the best quality and cooked to perfection. Amazing food, services and vibes.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I have now been here twice; once a year ago and just recently. Quite a bit changed between now and then, especially in terms of their menu. Whereas before it seemed to have a more lax, almost casual dining ambiance, it appears that they now are going for something a bit more high end. The first time we came left such a good impression which is why we ended up coming back. I think we need to take a moment to appreciate how good the bread and maple butter are. Oh my goodness. So warm and crunchy and amazingly delicious. Would return solely for the bread and butter tbh haha We had the -Oysters: I believe they were Kusshi and Chef's creek! -House Made Butternut Gnocchi, served with Squash: so good. We asked if it could be plated into two separate plates and they not only accommodated, but they did so beautifully. The texture was great, it could've had perhaps a bit of a stronger flavour, but quite delicious. -Wagyu Black Label Flat Iron: so good. Chose not to get a rub with it because we wanted to appreciate the flavour of the beef. Perhaps not as tender as we would've liked, but the flavour was *chef's kiss* -New York Strip: we had it with Black Angus rub. Delicious. -Sautéd Mushrooms: ASK FOR THEM TO ADD ONIONS BELIEVE ME IT'S LIFE CHANGING. So delicious. Also it was a variety of mushrooms (shiitake and more). For dessert none of them caught our eye so we had an ice cream sandwich. The little caramel chocolate at the end was a nice touch. We also had a paper plane cocktail and a Golden Bridge sour. Would probably skip the golden bridge sour next time (had a slight medicinal taste to it, wish the passion fruit stood out)

Yelp
Located inside the Four Seasons, but you feel like you are in a different world. A visual feast for all the senses. The decor, the fireplace give you all the feels! The food and service were exceptional. Definitely pricey but priceless

Yelp
Great Steaks. Service was good. Ambiance nice. Outside a little chilly and they only turn on heaters if all outside guest agree.

Yelp
Definitely a top notch steak experience at the Four Seasons in Whistler. Sidecut has a large loud bar area that you walk though but then you get to the back for a more intimate and quiet experience. Service was excellent and we had a wonderful experience. Started with sockeye sashimi which was fresh and tender. We ordered a delicious ribeye with the angus rub but in retrospect should have just gotten it salt and peppered. The rub was super salty and took away from the meat's own natural taste. Our sides were garlic potatoes which were also very good and squash for a vegetable. Too full for desert so did not try any. If you are looking for a romantic meal or good steak, this is the place.

Yelp
I visited this restaurant during their Beerbq festival and it was such a fun time! All seating was outdoors under a large tent and the tables had red checkered picnic-style tablecloths. Drinks were bought by tickets (there were deals for multiples of beer/wine bought etc) I tried the mountainside white sangria and it was delicious! Maybe a tad more fruit juice than alcohol but I prefer it fruitier anyways. It was buffet style with a salad bar section, a sides section, a small dessert section and 7 barbequed items. Some of the items that stood out to me was the mac and cheese, which featured larger rigatoni pasta which the sauce filled into each tube and it was super cheesy and evenly spiced. Complete with breadcrumbs and I had to have seconds for that ! The roasted lamb, flank steak with chimichurri and BBQ ribs were my top 3 meats. I found the wood fired salmon fillet to be too dry as they had everything on skillets which probably continued to cook the fish. The paella was was a nice flavourful mouthful and the rice was not mushy. They had a cute donut wall but the donuts were a bit stale. A dense caramel rice krispie square was good but way too sweet and heavy to finish a whole piece. Fresh cut water melon that was sitting in iced water was a nice refreshing end to the meal. Overall not too outstanding but combined with the summer vibes its a nice place to have a meal with colleagues, friends or family and to get away from the city bustle!

Yelp
We've eaten here numerous times and have always enjoyed their food quality, excellent service and resort ambience. We were there for lunch and service was great, we stayed inside but their outdoor patio would be just as nice. there were seven of us and we were placed at a long table with two tables put together. The chairs were not quite at the right height, a bit too low in my opinion so it was a bit uncomfortable. We had their steak, BBQ ribs, tuna burger, steamed mussels and Niçoise salad. Everything tasted very good but I felt that the Niçoise salad could use a few slices of avocado. While the $59.00 steak was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful, its presentation was a let down - the plate didn't come with any garnish, just a bunch of sloppy French fries on the side. We would definitely go back there again when we're in Whistler. I would recommend trying their brunch, their delicious steak and eggs never disappoints.

Yelp
One of my most favorite steakhouses I'd ever gone to. It's in Whistler upper village so it's quieter and less crowded. Went for dinner in a group of 7 mid-March for dinner and while all of the steakhouses in the main village were booked for a group of 7, someone in our group managed to get us a reservation for Sidecut last minute. Lighting is dim for dinner so it's romantic and fancy and bougie. Decor is like a modern cabin house. Bread was good. All of the sides we ordered were good. Tenderloin with black angus rub was perfect. Our table bought a few rounds of shots and so the server gave us a round of shots on the house. Maybe it was just good food or maybe it was the alcohol but it was great.

Yelp
Updated Review.... We changed the Buffet from 3 stars to 5 stars thanks to our new waitress. She explained we could order omelettes, gluten free pancakes, gluten free French toast and gluten free breads from the kitchen. My daughter loved the gf blueberry muffin and the gf French toast was amazing!!! Today's experience was much better than yesterday. However I still would be careful eating from the buffet. This review is just for the breakfast buffet. The hotel and service is amazing however the buffet left me sick. If you are gluten free I would avoid the buffet. Items are not clearly labeled and the huevos rancheros, which we thought were on corn tortillas, were not. So unfortunately I got sick. My oldest daughter who is not gluten free was also not impressed. Her waffles were so hard she couldn't cut them and the bread pudding had been sitting so long it was mush. Now it is off season so they were not very busy and it was 9:00 so I'm sure we just got the leftovers since the buffet closes at 10:00 and I'm sure they didn't want to waste food by putting out hot fresh items, but cold bacon is just not as good as hot bacon. Especially at $39 per person. On a busy day with food being rotated more so it's hot I'm sure it's a great buffet for those who are not gluten.

Yelp
You want a steak, and you're in Whistler, you will not be disappointed is an understatement, to the fact your steak taste buds will be wowed. Staying at the Four Seasons for the weekend, me and my partner decided to try the restaurant that is housed within. I made a booking for 9:00PM on the night we came in, as this was definitely a hot spot on the mountain in terms of food, but oddly it is located off the Upper Village away from the busy spectacle of the Lower Village of Whistler. I could not find an earlier booking, and I am not used to feasting so late into the night, but what came was a meal I would eat anytime of day! Coming down from our room this place is located through the lounge area of 'Fifty Two 80 Bistro & Bar', once you cut through you will see the big vertical red lit sign "Sidecut". I was greeted by David, the manager of this place, and he seated us at a table near the back, where the circular fireplace was. When you walk through you notice that this place is spactious, not too brightly lit, and has that ambience of fine dining experience in the mountains. He was very imformative of the restaurant, the food, the specialties, his own preferences and also provided us two complimentary champagne glasses to start. Our server, whose name was Mark, kept the great service coming when he introduced himself to us. My partner asked about many items on the menu and his take on them from the preparation to personal preference of the dishes. The key that is emphasized here is that they use 40 day old aged beef, the top 2%, also you have a choice of six individual rubs and which one would fit your palate in regards to the meat you choose is entirely up to you prior to even having this thing cooked. Also another point in their special preparation of cooking is the use of an infrared grill that keeps the juices in the steak, more on this later. The first dish that is usually brought out is the bread, and here is no different, till you take a peek at what has landed on your table! A hot assortment of crumpet like pieces and small cheese puffs is probably the best way to put it. Along with some freshly whipped butter, these treats prior to getting to the meal were wonderful. We both had to control our stomachs from the cheese puffs as we kept on eating each one. We stuck to the main course, which was two different steaks, and two sides, as this is where you order just the meat, and anything extra must be added. The two sides we had on the night were the creamy spinach and mac and cheese to accompany our cooking meat! I had a baseball cut New York steak with the special 'Edison's Medicine' rub, while my partner had the delicious Rib Eye steak with the Black Angus rub. With the bread pieces already preparing us for the meal to come, we were excited to see how this restaurant compared to other places I have had for steak. Presentation was excellent, as they do not load the plate with anything else except that prestine cut of meat you ordered, also with a recap of how you wanted it done. I have my steaks 'blue' and this one was done right, without any doubt as they pride themselves on this. My partners steak, which was the Rib Eye, practically cut like butter, the marblelization, or fat, but we will use the prettier word, was amazing, every bite was so flavourful, the mixing of the rub and just the quality of the meat was to really go the extra mile for. I have not even gotten to their special steak dips which came out in a trey. Usually your used to just seeing the normal A-1, HP type sauce, not here, all of this is in house, and very unique. They come in these little medicine vials, and each is so different, and really make for a different meal. You can have your meat the normal way, or change it up with a twist, and these 8 sauces enhance the experience. I have had steaks before at some great places, and this place takes the cake in the food, but also in the entire experience. A big thanks goes to our server Mark, who made the night fun at our table, talking about his experiences with the food at the restaurant, and knowing exactly what he was talking about with the type of rub and the meat that we were going to choose. Great passion also from David, the manager, who even at the end offered to call us a cab, not knowing we were staying on the property, but that care for the little things definitely adds to an excellent night. Another thing to point out, you can buy/purchase the rubs for your own cooking, and Mark brought out a plate with all 6 strands to allow us to try each. To be able to take something like this away from the restaurant and try on our own cooking at home will be fun. Mark also advised us to pack the piece of steak that we couldn't finish, luckily we did, even cold, it was delicious! Thank you again, I will be back!

Yelp
Very expensive, but from drinks to appetizers to entree to dessert, everything is incredible. We called Saturday morning before we left for the ski lifts to make a reservation for that night. The earliest we could get was 8:45pm. When we arrived, we were given a coat check. We then started with cocktails, which were delicious. I had a Canadian whiskey with maple syrup. Sounded strange, but was tasty. There were four people in our party who ordered the Cowboy, which includes a 56 ounce porterhouse, 4 appetizers, 4 sides and a bottle of wine. This is one BIG steak! I started with the spinach salad with steak. Both the spinach and steak were tasty. As a side salad, I would have been happy with a half-portion size, but the salad was good. For my entree, I decided to go with an off-menu special, the elk steak. It was delicious and would definitely order it again. I agree with other Yelpers about the gimmicky rubs that are offered and just went with the recommended one. Good flavor. Overall, our meal was over $150cad a person. It was the most expensive meal on our trip, but think it was mostly due to costly appetizers, salads, drinks, and desserts. If you are coming just for steak and a side (or even shrimp/scallop add-ons), you will get a moderately priced meal. But, I was on vacation...who wants to do that? I would like to return and try the deer.

Michael E.

Yelp
Solid high-end steakhouse. Expensive, but you're dining in the Four Seasons, so caveat emptor. My New York strip was cooked a perfect medium rare with an excellent char. My wife's pan-seared, miso black cod was also perfect. The sides were great. Service was slow but it was clear that they didn't have enough people and it's really hard to hire right now, so no penalties there. We were grateful for their attentiveness. In summary, Sidecut is as advertised, which is excellent.

Yelp
A great restaurant in whistler with a nice variety! A group of friends and I bought a travels voucher for $49 that allowed you to purchase $100 worth off food. It was a pretty decent deal with good quality food. We ordered quite a bit - the burger, ahi tuna burger, potato pizza, watermelon and hamolli salad and hummus plate. I really enjoyed the ahi tuna burger, potato pizza and watermelon and hamolli. They all tasted very flavorful and we ended adding a little over $30 to cover the remaining amount on the bill. The patio area was beautiful and I would highly recommend eating there on a nice day and you can even practice some putting there too!

Yelp
Came here for breakfast. It's off-season but still very cozy and accommodating. The service was impeccable. I ordered the traditional Eggs Benedict with a side of cottage cheese. The Benedict was very tasty and had just the right amount of sauce. The eggs were also perfectly done. Can't get better than 4 Seasons even if the price is ~ 10-20% more expensive than a local diner.

Yelp
Very good food and even better total experience. I got a ribeye which was phenomenal. The calamari was great as well very citrusy which was delicious. The Brussels sprouts were on the greener side and I usually like them more roasted but still good. The asparagus side was awesome. I wouldn't get the scallops they were a bit over done. The deserts were scrumptious we were recommended the soufflé but I liked the butter pound cake better. We came here a second night because it was so good and got the apple turnover cake which was super delicious. A major highlight has to be the big grappa cocktail - absolutely delicious grapefruit drink in beautiful tiki cocktail glasses which we ended up purchasing. Great experience, hospitality was wonderful, highly recommend!

Yelp
I went up to Whistler on Monday night for 2 nights, and went to check out Sidecut on our last night since we were staying at the Four Seasons. Sidecut is a great steakhouse with a beautiful decor, great food and impressive wine list. Definetely not an affordable restaurant though. The standout of the evening was definetely the 48oz ribeye. Ordered a medium rare and came out a perfect medium rare. Seasoning on the steak was just perfect too. Expensive at 155 but considering it was shared between 3 people (amongst many other dishes) it's not too bad I suppose. I just wished I was in Vancouver, because then I could've brought home the bone for my puppy! For sides we ordered the brussel sprouts, broccolini and the gnocchi. They were all good portion sizes and tasty! We also got the Cioppino and added a king crab for about $40. This dish we unfortunately did not enjoy nearly as much as others. The broth was quite bland and prawns were quite overcooked. The crab that we added on, seemed like an afterthought, and was just warmed up separately so did not absorb any flavours. We thought that it would all be cooked in the tomato broth, but I dont belive that its the case. We did ADD the crab on the dish so it was probably our poor assumption. Not bad but not great either. Overall, service was impeccable, we enjoyed the food and wine, and would not hesitate to return on my next trip up to Whistler (though there are so many others I want to check out still also)...

Yelp
We had so much fun at Sidecut! We came for craft cocktails and stayed for 3 rounds! Lovely restaurant, great service, wonderful drinks.

Yelp
Great spot! The bar has great food options and it's very entertaining. The nachos were so good and so were the lettuce wraps and the burger! But dinner is another level of wow. The service was impeccable. The bread with the sweet butter was sooo good. It was tempting to stuff my face with the bread. The ribeye with the #7 rub was probably one of the best tastiest steaks I've ever had. The Wagyu flat iron steak was good but not as flavorful as the ribeye. I loved the corn jalapeño gratin...so creamy and sooo yummy but not spicy.

Yelp
This place deserved SIX stars! We were in Whistler on a Monday night, and it was late October, so we had a very quiet night - the staff could full concentrate on us. We started with the foie gras appetizer - my girlfriend was absolutely blown away - as the server mentioned, they lose money on this appetizer - it was as creamy and rich as it gets. What rocked my socks was the wild boar, double cut chop, with a Morrocan rub - (you get to select from 6 rubs) and every dish comes with SIX SAUCES!!!!! I thought the rub idea was for fat guys slathering BBQ sauce on southern fried cooking - but the boar came with a spicy blackened, crusty outside, and a juicy moist perfect inside. I had to force myself to use the sauces, every bite was heaven, just from the rub. Zagat rated this place as the best restaurant in Whistler - and I WILL be back - the very next time I'm in Whistler I won't rave on about the fantastic, attentive service both from the manager, the very knowledgeable and attentive waitress, and the cooking staff (My girlfriend got an amazing chocolate assortment prepared as her birthday feast) - you would expect all of that at any five star, outstanding restaurant. The rubs are one of a kind - and having six sauces come with every dinner makes for an amazing assault on the senses - every meal now has six different flavours! I have no idea how creamed spinach can be made crunchy, but it was the best I've ever had. Did I mention the gorgeous room, and the view of the cascading stream out side? One of the best meals I've ever had, from start to finish.

Yelp
Dang! Just off of the breakfast presentation this place should be 5-stars. I had the parfait and the "green juice" of the day. Kale, avocado, kiwi... Something else? It was great. Have nothing to offer but positive praise. My companion's eggs Benedict looked fantastic and was gobbled up by her 1-yr old with delight. Tad on the pricey side but it that environment, I would say it's worth it. SPECIAL kudos to the staff. Top notch! Your price point demands that level of care and you DELIVER.

Yelp
Walked in without reservations. Luckily a table just opened up and it was nearly 8pm. Recommend making reservations. Thoroughly enjoyed my rigatoni bolognese and my husband his tuna burger. Upgrade the fries! So yummy with Parmesan! His mother mint julep was a bit pricey but he did say it was strong! Overall nice dinner with great live music!

Yelp
The service is reason alone to come here. I was so impressed by the attention to detail. The food was very good -- though not the best we had in Whistler. My husband enjoyed the filet with Edison's rub -- he said it was tender and flavorful. It was quite pricey based on the portions -- the main downside to this restaurant.

Yelp
Wait staff were very pleasant and friendly but food was terrible. We ordered the pizza and I could have made a better one at home. For a such a nice hotel, I would have expected a much nicer restaurant.

Yelp
Ordered the ribs. Meat was tender, wasnt in love with the flavor of the bbq sauce. It comes with cole slaw but I asked for fries instead. I wouldnt order it again but it wasnt the worst meal.

Yelp
Very shocked by the 4 star reviews. We went for lunch today, and it was the worst meal we've ever had. Everything was extremely salty including the chicken noodle soup for kids. We added a whole pot of hot water to the soup for the toddler to eat it. The batter for fish and chips was super salty too, but they claimed that they did not put any salt in the batter. BBQ back ribs were tender, but tasted really mediocre. We bought the Travelzoo voucher, but even with the voucher, it was a waste of money.

Yelp
Nine of us went to have a very nice dinner for a closing night in Whistler. We knew the pricing was going to be high and expected exceptional food and service. It began well with kind, friendly, attentive servers and good, patient explanations of the menu. Appetizers, however, were quite small, pricey and very mediocre. None outstanding and we had 3 of them. The tuna tasted bad. But, no one asked what we thought. We ordered our meals and the entrees were delicious so things were on the mend and then the service simply stopped. Water glasses were not refilled, plates were not cleared, and because we were having a great time talking, none of us said anything. Then, about 1/2 hour later we got a surge of attention again. Desserts were ordered and plates were left on the table. We even stacked them so they'd be picked up in case someone came by per chance. That did not happen - no one came by. Desserts were good, they were picking up plates while they were serving it - so tacky. And, then another long delay waiting for the check. It was like there were waves of service. When you spend over $700 for a meal, service should never wane. It is a Four Seasons. It is to be impeccable and the service was below average. Ah, then I understood, parties of 8 or more have gratuity built into the check. No need to be attentive and they weren't. So disappointed. We come to Whistler annually and I will not return. There are too many other good places to eat where service is consistent throughout the meal.

Yelp
Nice setup inside and outside. They catered to my wife's allergies. Made an awesome stir fry plus gluten free flyer. Think drinks are fantastic along with their signature popcorn

Yelp
Decent steakhouse. Decor seems a little dated. For the rib eye and although it was pretty good it was a thin cut. Really don't like when high end steak places serve thin steaks like the pre packaged ones from grocery stores. Cooked perfectly however.

Yelp
Service was exceptional. Start with the duck poutine and some signature cocktails first! Then move on to their SteaKs perfectly cooked (and I usually only eat steak when I cook it at home) with an excellent bernaise! Amazing sides and barrel Of monkeys cocktail was a sweet topper to the dinner. A place on the higher end but worth it.

Yelp
Both the bar menu and the dinner menu are amazing. My husband and I went for the bar menu last night, after arriving at the Four Seasons. The drinks were great, and the food was perfect. Tonight we had dinner reservations at Sidecut. We ordered the tenderloin steaks, with the Yukon potato puree with garlic confit, and the broccolini with chili butter. All of it was amazing!

Yelp
We enjoyed Sidecut very much! My son especially loved his Wagyu gold label flat iron steak and we went back another time at his request. I have tried the Duckx3 with breast, confit and foie gras, it was good. We also had the cedar plank steel head salmon to share and that was a magnificent piece of fish and probably enough for 4. Hubby also enjoyed his sea bass. The Brussels sprouts, potato puree, and 4 cheese mac were all good. But we love the French fries form the bar/lounge as well. Good whiskey, good cocktail, live music. A good place to have a nice dinner at Whistler.

Yelp
This is the best meal I've had in Whistler so far. Exceptional service as expected at Four Seasons.

Yelp
Yes agree with Court C, at this price point average at best... Dinner for 2: 2 Apps, 36 Oz bone-in Ribeye, 2 Sides, 3 watered down cocktails (must be pouring from measured shots), 1 btl of Washington State cabernet (even though the menu said California), 15% tip $400 ; Granted the btl of wine was $125 and was good... Pros: Service was good, atmosphere was lively, cassoulet side dish was honestly best part of the meal they should offer as a main course! Cons: Drinks $12 each were measured pours and my Old Fashioned was more soda than drink. Wedge salad with blue cheese dressing was watery and the tomatoes had no taste Meh: 36 oz Ribeye was good but not $110 good. They bring out all these sauces and have multiple rubs... Really? Good steak should stand alone. It was good but again not $110 good. We ordered medium rare and it was cooked slightly cooler but better cooler than warmer. Desert menu was not to our liking so we ordered room service.

Yelp
First on the positive, The service was fairly good, there were a few gaps, but overall good service and very responsive. The space is great, quite relaxing with sizable patio, there are lots of children, although there is ping pong, a little putting green area etc., to keep them busy. The cocktails are excellent, the wine list extensive with reasonable mark ups. The food is mostly small plates, although they were anything but small. The nachos were good, but covered with this nasty cheez whiz like cheese sauce that sort of ruined them. Parmenan fries were well done, not overly done with truffle. Side salads were good, both the Caesar and garden. Hummus was the star, the zucchini flat bread was good but quite cold by the time it came out, would have been a star had it been warm. The rigatoni was well liked, the beef wrap was so so at best. The tuna was a huge disappointment - when I order a seared Tuna burger, I expect a piece of seared tuna. Instead this was cut pieces likely that they prep for the tuna tataki on the dinner menu. Impossible to eat, poor conceived and the tuna was stringy. The dungeness crab sandwich had great flavour but more than one piece of shell. They comp'd a round of drinks, the dishes were big so we had plenty to eat, but wouldn't return.

Yelp
Enjoyed an amazing dinner. Ashleigh was my server and she was gorgeous and super sweet! I started my Meal with a spiked apple cider which was soo yummy. Had the oysters to start (so delicious). I live in Hawaii and always get excited when I can order fresh oysters. I had the wagyu skirt steak which was very flavorful and had the rigatoni bacon Mac n cheese which was a great way to elevate my steak because who doesn't love pasta and cheese. Had the Sidecut red blend which was a nice wine to enjoy with my steak. Excellent service and enjoyed the live music as well! Will definitely be mentioning my wonderful dining experience when I return home

Yelp
It was our first dinner in Whistler and we are so happy it set a great tone for the week. It was one of my husband's best meals ever. His New York strip was cooked to perfection with a selected rub. The sear on the steak was done nicely, and accompanied by their signature steak sauces and butter, I could see he was smiling with every bite. Service was outstanding.

Yelp
Based on all of the Yelp reviews, we were pretty hyped up to have dinner at Sidecut, but ended up being a bit disappointed. Located inside the Four Seasons, we made out way inside the posh, modern restaurant. Although we showed up a little early, and there weren't many diners in the restaurant, the maitre'd would not seat us right away. Instead, we sat in a waiting area where they were hoping we'd order drinks for 15 minutes prior to dinner. When we were finally taken to our table, we were introduced to the menu of probably a dozen or more different cuts of steak and what seemed like two dozen different types of rubs and sauces that you could have with your steak. It was quite overwhelming, really. I had the little baseball cut (forgot what rub) and tried a new sauce with each bite. The steak itself was cooked medium, the sides of veggies and potatoes were enjoyed... But I think the variety of sauces and rubs were just complete overkill. It's just unnecessary. We walked out full, wanting to loosen our belts, but also we also felt like it was just a gimmick and not quite worth the money.
