I am glad I took the opportunity to return because my first visit was hit and miss, but this time around it was all a hits. I noticed that they downsized the menu with a focus on quality of ingredients and execution. That being said, I had the one protein plate with smoked brisket, kale salad, and their "chente Bean." The meal also came with two Hawaiian rolls and sauces. For my dessert, I had the limoncello cake. I crunched on the kale salad first and it was excellent. The salad provided great texture from the candied cinnamon pecans and garlic butter croutons. The combination of the Romain plus the kale was very smart, and the lemon parsley vinaigrette was terrific. I was very impressed on the quality of the dressing. It had a great balance of acidity and a touch of sweetness. The smoked brisket was terrific. I failed to have on my first visit because I had the turkey, but wow this brisket was great. The brisket came with a nice smoke ring with a good mild smoke flavor throughout the eating process. It was very tender and presented at the perfect temp too. I love that medium to medium rare temp. The brisket was delicious. The beans were tasty, the rolls were soft and warm, and the sauces were tasty. I thought the beans were whole beans, but these re-fried beans worked nicely. Oh yes, the limoncello cake was amazing. There was no holding back on the limoncello in the creation of this cake. Great dessert. Service was provided by Karlie who was super nice. She had an adorable personality and was quite helpful. Don't tell anyone but she showed me the Top Secret Speakeasy, but you did not hear it from me. However, it was very cool indeed.

Attending a mixer function hosted by the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. It was okay. I did try their whisky! First time for me. I learn from other people that the fermentation process can last couple years and not gone bad. Personally I can't say much of their products being it's my first time tasting it. I want to try it, cuz the night was freezing and I need some alcohol to get me warmer. Lol The parking was a b****. Luckily when I arrived there were two spots left!!! Hehhehehe I didn't try their food. Or was the food stands theirs?! No clue.

This is a cool place down in barrio Logan, the cocktails were delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was great. On to the food , we went with a group and we tried the nachos with pork, the tj dog, the margarita pizza, the pepperoni pizza with mushrooms and roasted garlic, Smokin' Brisket Tacos, Ensenada Style Fish Tacos, chef chinos fish tacos, blackened shrimp tacos, Pizzaco Barrio, chicken sandwich, and the Fried Churro Bites. Everything was well prepared delicious and served hot . But my call outs are the tj hotdog (house made smoked hotdog) , the brisket ( smoked in house for 12 hours) the chef chinos fish tacos ( the flavors!!), the pizzaco barrio, the pepperoni pizza, and the churro Bites (with bourbon caramel) were all amazing! I highly recommend visiting, and just in case you didnt know there is also a very cool speakeasy , and a large performing area at this same location. Watch out san diego this place is soon to be the dining destination!!!

After looking at many locations for a place to eat, I decided on Rebru for some BBQ. As the pictures looked promising, I settled on the BBQ Brisket Plate ($20) and ordered coleslaw for my two sides. For the plate, the presentation seemed lackluster and I didn't get that feeling where I was excited to eat this meal. When I tried the brisket, it had a really good smokey flavor to it. The texture of the meat, however, was so dry though. The slaw had pineapple, which I know, controversial. It made it very sweet and tarte, which just wasn't my taste. As for the service, the waitress was really sweet and accommodating. I tried to like the plate, but I could not finish this. If I were here again, I would try their pizza as the reviews are promising.

This place is super nice and they have really good food options! Beautiful front dining and bar area, a speak easy and an outdoor area with a small bar! Lots of parking in the lot out back (use the alley right behind the building), people park in the middle of the street which seems to be something a lot of folks get away with but I can't afford a ticket if the police come by so opted for the parking lot. Nice bartenders, good food and lots of liquor and beer options. We came here as a large group and there was plenty of space for everyone. The staff seems to run real slim so after you find a table you will need to order everything from the bar as the two times I have visited here there isn't a wait staff to support. Clean restrooms, clean facility, funny posters hidden around and great vibe all around. Hope to see they get a few more folks on the staff side to help keep up with the demand. Will be back for sure.

Such a cool distillery and smooth, smooth alcohol. Got to check this place out at a beer event on Friday night and was super impressed with the space and the alcohol. We got to try their whiskey and I am ready to buy half a case to gift this holiday season! Excited to try everything they have and will definitely want to coordinate events here.

We joined Rebru spirits for Halloween night for Beer Mansion event. Oh no. Too crowded. I mean - TOO. CROWDED. Not like, ok, I deal with it, but more like - I can barely move around without spilling on everyone, busy downtown club vibe crowded. Event was sold out, however, they continued to sell tickets at the door saying, "machine is down, but you can pay in cash or Venmo". Hmmmm, was it really down or all the cash went directly into someone's pocket and now it is nearly impossible to walk around at that event. It was definitely over the capacity.

First time trying this jewel in Barrio Logan and was not disappointed. The food was great, me and my boyfriend had the Smokin' Carnitas Tacos, the Tri-Tip Tacos, and the Nachos; the three items had good portions and were very delicious. One thing I would say is that I wish the tortillas were more warm and flexible. As for the ambiance and the service both were fantastic. The night we visited was the last Trivia Night of the year and they gave away free shots to close the night on the house. Definitely visiting soon!

We went there after checking The menu on their website. Pizzas with spent grain dough with great toppings, excellent looking hamburgers all kinds of good food of different varieties. When we got there the menu was about one third or what it was, the food was very limited, liquor was very limited, the beer wasn't very good and the mixed drinks were awful. I had the turkey tacos which came to being basically cubes of turkey loaf from a deli that were so rubbery they could bounce. On tiny little tacos with some kind of dressing on it barely a handful of chips and it cost $18 I could've made it home for probably less than a buck. Disappointing beyond words they really blew it. The only good thing about the entire experience weee the bar maids. they were friendly nice ladies with big smiles but even that couldn't make me want to go back

Amazing venue and cutting edge drinks! My fiancé and I were there for a beer tasting event and loved the whole experience. We got to speak with the main distiller. This place is driven by passion and we could tell. The venue looks beautiful, the drinks are next level and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend!

This place is so rad! The people are amazing, the vibe is great, but beyond that... what they're doing in the industry is absolutely incredible. Taking something that would be forever lost and up-cycling it into high quality spirits?? If you get a chance, definitely take the tour and learn about how the process of "re-brewing" beer into a huge variety of super tasty spirits. I'm shocked that there's a one star review for this place but then when I checked out their Yelp profile I noticed they took the time to review a Chipotle. Who does that? Keyboard warrior in their environment I guess ‍

INCREDIBLE spot! The entire concept centers around sustainability, taking unused craft beer and distilling it into award winning liquor! The food and waitstaff are nothing short of amazing as well. 10/10 recommend any item with their in-house smoked brisket!!!

The pizza pepperoni is very good but the menu lacks focus so it's hard to know what else is good. Maybe the burrito with brisket is good. I was too full to try it. We got a couple things off the kids menus which were ok. They have Thorn on tap which is fun.

Just found out about this place via Instagram and, WOW! We came to watch the Padres game and their game specials are FANTASTIC!!! The brisket tacos are delicious and the nachos are an incredible deal. The Buffalo cauliflower is delicious and their HOMEMADE SWEET RANCH DRESSING IS OUTSTANDING...!!! Allie was fantastic! This is a new favorite for sure!

Had such a great time with the bartender who was conversational and made great drinks. I left my sunglasses there and the owner was so kind to have shipped them all the way to Boston for me! Highly recommend.

Came here for a Don't Tell Comedy show, really great space. Had the brisket and it was super tender, wasn't expecting refried beans but they were solid too. And of course, right next to Thorn so had all my favorite canned beers. Will definitely be back!

Safe to say that i'm OBSESSED with these potato rolled tacos they're so good i feel like i could eat them every day for the rest of my life. my bartender made me a super yummy rum cocktail too (try the proof of I.D. YES it's a drink!! ) very friendly staff and amazing atmosphere. they had a really good DJ performing for industry day (where i will be going every wednesday thank you!!)

Rebru is a great spot! My hiking club and I do trivia here every week and it's the best spot we've been. The food portions are generous and the staff is so sweet!

We hosted an event, Sunday Funday, at your Sideyard this past weekend and I must say the team was phenomenal! We encountered a few hiccups to start but once we got going Selena, Carl, and Allie were nothing short of fantastic. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we hope to bring another event there soon!

I just had the best time at ReBru! They held the Beer Week kickoff and it was incredible! Myself and 15 of my friends were there and we are definitely going back! The food was something I'll never forget. Paired very well with the spirits they make. ReBru is more than a distillery, it's innovative, stylish, and intelligent. I'm looking forward to going back soon!

Really enjoyed the vibe of this place, we came in on a Sunday and the place was empty, which was perfect, they have an amazing selection of beers and we were lucky to try a couple. The NFL games were on several different screens. We tried the French fries and holy moly were they good. Bartender was cool even with some dude yelling we was all in the Matrix, pretty loudly. Not complaining 'cause he's not wrong.

Excellent BBQ! The brisket nachos are amazing! The bbq is all delicious and very friendly staff.

I'm literally writing this as I'm still here it's that good! Do yourself a favor and order the BRISKET NACHOS. They load it up heavy and don't skimp on the meat. The brisket is tender, almost melt in your mouth good. Everything is quality from the meat to the chips that stay crisp and don't get soggy. You won't be disappointed. The women who took our order were excellent as was the runner who brought us our food next door to Thorn. A MUST during happy hour!

After recently visiting Rebru, I'm completely impressed. This company distills some of San Diego's unsold craft beer to make a variety of quality spirits. Their repurposed warehouse space lends a laid-back vibe and the kitchen offers delicious food. The staff was incredibly accommodating of our large group's birthday reservation and even gave us a tour of the distillery! Looking for somewhere to hold your private event? Their speakeasy has a fun atmosphere. The distiller is a Jack of all trades and even provided the live music. 10/10 would suggest.

Wow I need to get out of north county more often. I love this place. So hip and cool. Friendly staff, fast service and awesome artsy atmosphere.

The brisket. As someone who grew up around a brisket business this tasted just like old times to me. It was juicy and soft and melted in your mouth. Absolutely amazing. Atmosphere was awesome.

I am from Central Texas and we have the best BBQ in the world. Blacks, Franklin's, Gatlins and Coopers. yeah, we the best. Sorry Cali. However, I just had a bbq burger from ReBru and gotta say, it don't get no better. Hat's off cali. you are in the same league as Texas. the greatest thing is you too stupid to know any better. The place was empty! Lexy did a great job too.

So fun! It's super close to downtown, but such a unique location and set up. Great bbq and a variety of drinks and beers. Love it!

This place had the best brisket I've ever tried in San Diego. Servers were super friendly and personable. The homemade gin and vodka was delicious too. Brisket pizza was phenomenal. The whole atmosphere was awesome. I think I found my new spot.

Hit or miss... some days you get the best bbq of your life, other days they charge you 2x the price of your meal. The brisket is good -- no denying it. I live near by so I come frequently. About 50% of the time, I enjoy it. The service isn't great unless the owner is at the establishment. If you happen to have Samantha as a server, I'm sorry. Today, my slider buns came out burnt to a crisp round one. Round two they didn't toast them at all... passive aggressive much? Also, I didnt notice until far too late that Samantha charged us full price for our entire ticket, despite coming during happy hour... over all, the bbq and drinks are good, but service isn't. Just know before you go.

Loved this spot. Super innovative concept and everything we tried was good. Everyone who worked there was so nice and really made the spot better. Their merch and branding is dope. Left with 2 t-shirts.

Great team and awesome spirits at ReBru. Kerin took time to explain ReBru's special process and spirits. Their Vodka is better than Tito's and their Aged Gin is amazing. I can't wait to come back to try to food but come for the spirits. We also tried several cocktails - bartender mixed Some great drinks.

The staff here are amazing, especially Lexi and Kerin! Highly recommend the brisket and Thursday night trivia!
