I ordered some tamales for delivery on Christmas Eve and then my husband was laid off from work the very next day. I contacted Sierra Valley Foods to see if we could cancel our order, or, if not, if it could be redirected to a different address since the lay off affected our travel plans. Not only did they refund us, but they went ahead and sent the tamales to us anyway. It really made our day to have these complete strangers show such kindness to us during a really tough time! Thanks to them, we were able to maintain our holiday tradition and eat their DELICIOUS vegan tamales on Christmas Eve.

The asada/carnita tacos are delicious. Remember to always add the avocado dressing makes the tacos 10x better! Thank you for supporting the vegan community!

Yelp
Stopped at the Dallas Farmer's Market and finally got the chance to try Sierra Valley Food. They serve authentic Mexican food that's 100% vegan. As someone who loves to try authentic dishes but can't always find vegetarian versions, I really appreciate places like this! The people there were so nice and answered all of my questions about the dishes. Their most popular taco is the al pastor - carne asada which was understandably sold out. Instead, I ordered their second most popular taco, the carnitas, which is made out of chickpeas and is served with pineapple on top. I also ordered the chorizo taco which is made out of soy. You can also get a side of their spicy sauce which was a great addiction. Both tacos looked & tasted incredible! I was so excited to try them I forgot to take a picture once I got back to my car. Highly recommend trying this place out if you are at the farmer's market. I definitely plan on going back and will go a little earlier next time to try the al pastor!

Yelp
The service was great, they took the time to talk about ingredients and make suggestions. The food was amazing! Got jackfruit tacos with spicy green salsa, I'm talking amazing !!! I'm craving more! Wish I had a picture but I ate it too fast.

Yelp
I love this place. They have some of the best vegan tacos and tamales that I ever had. I wish they were back as vendors in the Dallas Farmers market.

Yelp
In addition to having a stand at the farmer's market, Sierra Valley Food sells packaged foods on their website: right now they have tamales, packaged vegan "meats", salsa, queso, and taco kits - all completely vegan, of course! Delivery in DFW is currently free (in December 2020), and you can ship to other locations. We ordered a dozen mixed tamales - I love that they sell variety packs! All were really good, and not too dry or crumbly. The "pork" were my favorite. The tamales are a decent size; three tamales were enough for a hearty meal for me (with no other sides!), and I don't have a delicate appetite. I also got some al pastor and carne asada, which I'm excited to try soon. I'm local in Dallas, and my ordered was delivered the day after I placed it! The prices are super for vegan foods: a dozen tamales for $19, and $12 for a pound of pre-cooked vegan meat to use in tacos, burritos, etc. Get your socially distanced plant-based holiday tamales from Sierra Valley - they're currently taking orders for Christmas and New Year's Eve!

Yelp
Authentic tacos, y'all! I came here for a photo shoot and they were so kind to let me try their vegan tacos as well. I had the Al Pastor, Carnitas, & Carne Asada tacos. They were all so divine and then washing it down with their orange soda was a perfect way to end the hot afternoon. I was so tempted to get more but now that they're selling packages of their famous vegan meat, I wouldn't have to worry about running out of their delicious tacos. I have to say that they truly knock out of the park with their menu and I know I will be coming back for more. I'm curious to try their cookies and other dishes they have on the menu someday again.

Yelp
I love tacos! This place did not disappoint. I had one of each if their vegan tacos. I destroyed all three with no shame. Meat lovers would not know the difference. I'll be back. I can't wait to try the tamales next time I'm at the Farmers Market. Also, great customer service!

Yelp
Love their vegan tamales and as pastor taco!! Very unique. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Love the spicy sauce and the mild sauce.

Yelp
Loved loved loved! My boyfriend Ordered the gorditas "by accident" not knowing it was vegan the chicharrón and chorizo were the best. Better than most real chicharrón and chorizo I've tried. The texture and flavor were right on point! Tried them at the Farmers Market a few weeks ago. If all vegan food tastes like this, I could def get used to it.

Yelp
Best conchas ever! I love traditional Mexican baked goods and this is exactly like it without all the animal bi-products. The torta I had was also delicious. I am not a big tomales fan but I do like a good torta and this was spectacular. Highly recommend!

Yelp
First time checking this place out. Such an amazing, inspiring family that runs this place. You won't find any other vegan Mexican food in the DFW with as much heart, flavor, and quality as Sierra Valley Food.

Yelp
I rarely review but I absolutely loved this spot. I got the meal platter, the rice and beans so flavorful, and the carne asada and al pastor tacos both texturally satisfying and delicious. I can't wait to come back.
