really creative menu with pastries that looked so good. not much space inside but super close to seaport where you can sit one of the best matchas i’ve had in the city although was slightly pricey — got an iced pandan matcha with oat milk here and it was $9.80, although i realize this is the most expensive item on the drink menu. (imo Blank street is just as good but $2 less haha)

really cute little cafe and easy to miss in the busy financial district. they have a nice selection of drinks and matcha. i tried their pandan matcha and it was nice and sweet.

Such an amazing local family owned (so rare!) cafe with excellent coffee and pastry that’s to perfection. The black sesame latte is a must have!! All the pastries are so amazing, I’m going through all the cookies and so far the banana yogurt bread blew my mind!!

Love love love this new coffee and cake spot. It’s so nice not having to make my way to Chinatown for Asian-flavored drinks like black sesame lattes and Thai milk teas. The drinks are great but the best part are the desserts. Tried a few madeleines and they’re absolutely delicious. Staff is also very friendly and helpful.

Small grab&go store that looks like everything is made in-house. The pastries and desserts are indeed mouth watering. Highly underrated slice as that carrot cake is to DIE for. 10/10 will return.

The Pandan Chiffon Cake is an absolutely delightful treat for anyone looking for a special sweet treat. (there’s also a Pandan Latte on the menu!) The drinks are also delicious here. Will have to try the Matcha Latte or Thai Milk Tea next time!

Some of the best coffee in the neighborhood! They seem to update the pastry menu regularly with new tasty opinions. I love the pandan cake!

Update 12/19/24: The Marshmallow Dark Chocolate Cookie and the Chocolate Chip Cookie was sweet and delicious. Paired well with my Vanilla Latte. The Pandan Chiffon cake is sooooo good! Not too sweet. Chinese Mother approved. Took a picture after I ate half. Whoops The Pandan Chiffon Cake is nut free. Although there is cross contamination if you are highly allergic.

I've been wanting to try this new bakery/cafe ever since seeing that it was opening! The interior is super clean and nicely decorated. It's a very small shop, but they still made some room for a few seats. Their drink menu is very fun as well, I tried the tiramisu latte and it was delicious. The drink wasn't super sweet, which I enjoyed. I would love to try their other specialty drinks like the Black Sesame Latte or the Pandan Latte next! Their baked goods looked delicious as well! I need to go back to try, but I wish there was a bit more variety in savory pastries. Overall, I think Sift is a great addition to the neighborhood and makes things a bit more charming:-)

What an adorable hole in the wall! Sift Cookies offers patrons a foray into Singaporean/Malaysian sweets and drinks, and I say, it's about time! I ordered the Black Sesame Latte, which upon the first sip, instantly reminded me of tang yuan 汤圆, the popular Chinese sweet balls with different filling options like black sesame paste (my fav!). Although I am a sesame fan, I was initially concerned that a sesame-flavored beverage might be too much. However, the sesame flavor of the Latte did not overwhelm. Rather, it was just right, and the drink overall was not too sweet. The owner mentioned that the Pandan Latte is another one to try, plus their pineapple tarts for the lunar new year! I gave a 4 instead of 5 because I did notice a few fruit flies by the baked goods. Still, I like how unique the concept is and my drink was good. Will definitely be returning!

Amazing hole in the wall. It's clean, has a nice vibe, great service and amazing desserts. I highly recommend it!

This little bakeshop serves up vietnamese baked goodies and delicious strong coffee(counter culture). I was greeted warmly by the staff. Cakes were a bit mild in terms of the flavoring but sometimes it's better that way. I love the sweetness level of all the baked goods. I will likely come back soon to try out other baked goods.

I tried the pandan chiffon cake and it was light fluffy and flavorful. The staff is very nice and welcoming. I didn't know what Pandan was and they explained to me the flavor profile prior to purchasing. The space itself is small and cozy there is room for sitting but it's best suited for grab and go.

Black sesame latte had a nice nutty flavor--a nice decaf option! Was super happy they also had a gluten free lemon coconut almond loaf cake slice which had wonderful flavor and texture. The owner said they usually have at least one GF option-- so excited to try more from Sift!

super nice barista, cute interior, and really yummy, rich, nutty espresso! all of their baked goods also looked delicious and i'll definitely be back to try some. service was a bit slow, but definitely worth the wait.
