"Cantonese dim sum is a hit at Sifu Wong Kitchen, a restaurant founded by a Hong Kong chef who immigrated to the Bay Area. With a wide range of dim sum offerings, Sifu Wong is almost bound to have a line on the weekends. Fan favorites include the piping hot, steamed classics like siu mai and har gow. Customers also frequently order the pan-fried dumplings and the cheung fun — or rice rolls — which come with a generous amount of shrimp or pork filling. The salty egg yolk bun — a pillowy, steamed bun with a gooey duck egg filling — is another big hit." - Cathy Park

We ordered way too much dim sum, but no regrets. The salted egg yolk lava bun? Molten, rich, and absolutely divine. But the real standout was the lychee shrimp ball, it was crispy on the outside, savory and chewy inside. Sweet, salty, and totally unique. Definitely coming back… with a bigger appetite next time.

The service and quality of the food was absolutely amazing, 10/10 food. The food came out hot and fresh, no inconsistency. The wait staff were kind and on top of their job. 10/10 restaurant, would recommend.

I was in Sifu Wong Kitchen for the Dim Sum breakfast. I have bookmarked It for a few years, but this is my first time there. When I went into the dining room, it was very busy. They have a wait list tablet at the reception area. The wait is about 20 minutes. It is not too bad. The dim sum is pretty average. The service is standard for most Chinese restaurants. They refill my teapot quickly, and the Dim Sum is ready just a few minutes after I place the order. I don’t know if I want to come back. Maybe only if I’m in the area. I won’t make a special trip there!

Google
This dim sum restaurant does not have circulating trolleys or trays. Orders are placed in advance, and can be added on demand. Everything we ordered came to the table at an appropriate temperature and was absolutely delicious. Staff were attentive and efficient. Between the food and service, I would definitely try them again for lunch/dinner service.

Google
The service is great. The chef knows how to cook. However, the salt and pepper pork chops don’t have many pieces and most are fat. It is not worth the price. The ingredients and flavors are indistinguishable. For example the fried noodle and the tofu dish have the same sauces. Both contain the same squid.

Google
One of best Cantonese dim sum place in South Bay area. Friendly, efficient staff. Amazing food with precise, authentic flavor. Reasonable price, can’t ask for more. One of the must-try dish is Cantonese fried duck. One of the best I can find in the area. Highly recommended!

Google
I was very disappointed with the quality of the dim sum. I came at 2pm and got the crispy shrimp red rice roll and charcoal lava cake and truffle scallop dumpling. It was not fresh. While the flavor was good, the inside of the rice roll was soggy, indicative of it not being freshly made. It also had a rubbery texture like it was fried/heated up a second time. The scallop dumpling was broken with slightly soggy wrapper. I’ve have the charcoal lava buns once here fresh and it was great but what I was served today was also clearly not fresh. The inside was not molten. Overall quite a disappointment and I won’t be returning.

Google
Food was okay, pretty average. Peking duck wasn't worthwhile, skin was not crispy and the buns they used were dry. The Lychee shrimp ball was unique though! And Black Buns with salted egg Yolk was good!

Yelp
I've been looking for the holy land that is Dim Sum. My canto Shangri-La. God ready behind Heaven's gates with pork buns and egg tarts. And here it was. Sifu Wong Kitchen. Heard about it from a coworker and trusted that this would be the best dim sum spot in the Bay Area. Haven't seen many great places but had high hopes. The line outside was a great sign, and a worry set over me that it was going to be a while until I could get in. However, the line flew by within 15 minutes, and I was lead to a table for 5. With a classic sheet of paper to check off what we wanted, we immediately got to work. The classics: throw some egg tarts in there, tofu skin rolls, shrimp dumplings, and my favorite - the short rib. To top it all off, my guy Alvin spoke Canto and got us going. We got the food pretty quickly, and starting scarfing it down. Stuff was delicious and made to relative perfection. I wouldn't say its mindblowing stuff - I can probably get something similar at in China at some 4-5 star hotel. But this was quality and we're in the continental US, so can't complain. I'm not gonna lie - I was scared it might end up being expensive. For 1. we're in the bay area and 2. a lot of the dim sum places I've been to can get up there in prices. But surprisingly, it came out really well to around 30 bucks per person. I have to come back here - more to try for any meal of the day and you should come by too.

Yelp
Food is ordinary and service was so slow. We arrived a bit before noon on a Wednesday and got one of the last available tables so we didn't have to wait to get seated. However, after ordering, the food came practically one at a time; super spaced out. I asked about the mango pudding dessert 3 times before it came and I think it finally arrived because I said I needed to go and to cancel the order....magically, it came in a bowl and there was no reason for it to take any time at all to prepare because they just ladled it from a larger container anyways! It was not a mango pudding like jello, it was basically a mango sago liquid dessert. It tasted fine but it was not what I expected when I go to a dim sum place and get a mango pudding. We were here for almost 1.5 hours for what should have been a meal that took 30-45 minutes because we didn't order much and it was all from the dim sum menu which should be the quickest dishes from the kitchen. I suggest you go elsewhere to get your dim sum to fix, where the food tastes better and service makes sense. I don't need - nor do I expect - courteous or fantastic service at a dim sum place, but the one aspect of service I do expect at a dim sum place is how timely the dim sum comes out from the kitchen.

Yelp
BBQ Pork puff pastries are amazinggg. 5/5 their buttery crispy flakey meat pies (like bbq buns but with puff pastry) were warm and fresh. WORTH. Turnip cake 4.5/5 reallly good fresh and seafoody flavor, warm and soft w cripsy enough edges (i do wish the edges were a little more crispy but i think thats just individual preference) Sui mai 3.8/5 I tried alone and was good/solid and warm but would be better with some type of sauce like "san lat jew si yao" or spicy pepper dipping sauce/soy sauce. Incomparable to other places i have tried in san francisco though. Bbq pork bun 4.8/5 bc it is a perfectly sweet bbq pork bun w a white fluffy bun ooooo day dreaming about coming here just for the bun. If you had a foodgasm this would be it. Sticky rice lou mai guy 4.2/5 is good but didnt stand out to me, it was standard like every other lou mai guy. Our friend group cleaned out the dishes table which was rare for dimsum (usually have left overs) . We left happy and heffty. The vibe was amazing/buzzing on a rainy saturday morning with a lively atmosphere and very trendy "IT" vibes. The employees are so professional, clean tables immediately after people leave and pick the next table to come (and it was a busy saturday too), i understand why there is always so many people here but surprised its not become THE spot for all foodies. We came during dim sum time though, and a friend told me they tried their dinner menu which in their opinion was okay/meh, but they went a while ago. I went a second time with my partner on a wednesday and it was a lot less busy. I tried the egg yolk bun which was nice and sweet/salty 4/5 a little too sweet for me but still really good Fried Taro dumpling was a little different than in sf chinatown and i would say more on the taro-ey side, sweeter as the sf chinatown ones would have meat The lychee shrimp balls were... interesting. The outside tastes like rice crispie like cereal, and the inside actually has lychee hinted shrimp meat (We also got some of the star favorites from the first time I tried this place) and I have to say overall the food was less appealing than before, I think because on the busier day there was more orders so the food always came piping hot, whereas the Wednesday they weren't as hot (I assume bc once they make them they keep them warm) So I'd recommend actually coming in on a weekend day because the food can definitely be enjoyed at its peak when served fresh and warm/piping hot, and we (my friends and I) didn't wait too long (were seated fast, ~7 min wait) definitely worth the experience, the right way to experience.

Yelp
This place is situated on the side of a hotel right off 101. When looking facing the hotel, park on the right side, that's where the main entrance is. Service is good compared to many other dim sum places. Servers are attentive and friendly. However, menu is very limited and prices are silicone valley prices. I arrived a little after 11am on a weekend, it was already a full house, we waited about 30 minutes for a table. Lesson learned, you can join with wait list on Yelp! As for food, it was mediocre for most items and above average for a couple of the items. However, rooms for improvement, we ordered the salted egg yolk lava bun, which is more for at the end of the course as dessert, it was served as first item...and it was even that warm, the salted egg yolk filling wasn't even running... I was disappointed I see that they have a weekday lunch special for $20. Maybe I should give it a try one day since it looks like a good deal...

Yelp
Went here on a Friday evening and finding parking was pretty easy since they have a parking lot. The place was clean, and the staff were friendly. The siu mai were really good - juicy pork and shrimp wrapped in soft dough, cooked just right. The soup dumplings were full of flavor, with soft skins, tasty meat, and broth all together. The shrimp rice rolls were definitely worth a try, with succulent shrimp wrapped in delicate rice sheets. Lastly, the black gold salty egg was very rich in flavor. The yolk filling inside was perfectly made with the right amount of saltiness and sweetness. Dim sum fans, give them a shot!

Natalie C.

Yelp
Really mixed feelings about this place given I do think their food is generally pretty solid and the service is great. One major drawback is the price - we felt like dishes were disproportionally expensive unless you come by for the lunch special and like those particular dishes (see lunch special menu!). Definitely recommend the Honey BBQ Rice Bowl. The food is generally good (with a few misses like their shrimp dumplings) but their egg tarts, and bbq pork especially are quite good. My family overall loves Cantonese food and dim sum but really didn't like the fact they paid almost $45 for a small bbq plate.

Yelp
While not actually inside The Ramada Inn, Sifu Wong Kitchen's entrance is an annex off to the side where there is parking. With that said, if you use the restroom, you have to go inside the hotel. Here's what my party of two had: Tea: Combo Chrysanthemum+Pu Erh BBQ Pork Bun - the meat was flavorful Taro Bun - fluffy bun has the cookie topping Chiu Chou Deep Fried Prawn Rolls - think fried prawn egg roll, sliced, and fried again Lychee Shrimp Ball - unique presentation and there's lychee inside Siu Mai - has fish eggs on top Truffle Scallop Dumpling - grated dried black truffle on top with a gold accent BBQ Pork Sandwich - instead of a white bun, the sandwich is black with a gold accent Stir-fried pea shoots - great texture and flavor Due to my friend's health, we ate outside under a canopy to avoid the rain. Because we were understandably the only customers outside, service was a bit sluggish at times. Otherwise, I truly enjoyed everything I ate and look forward to returning.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon for my fiancé's mother's birthday. We thought we would get there at around 1130 and this place was so busy... had to wait about an hour for a table. They have a Yelp waitlist, but you could only sign up once you got there which was a little annoying. Parking can get tight as this location shares a parking lot with a Ramada Inn. We started off with the roasted duck which had good flavor, but it was cold... I expected maybe lukewarm, but the sauce was good. We then got the ribs which were good... I wish they weren't curt into such small pieces, but the flavor was there. We then had the sue mai and hargow which was outstanding! Service was fast, but not too much interaction, but what I could expected from an authentic dim sum restaurant. The ambiance of the location is modern and well kept.

Brenda D.

Yelp
A few of my former coworkers and I got together for our monthly lunch. It was my first time here. Overall, the food was very good. Though the corn soup was a bit bland. You can order from their regular menu or from the Special Kitchen menu where you mark what you want. There were four of us and we ordered more than enough. I'd come back again.

Jessica N.

Yelp
Very crowded on the weekends, but Yelp waitlist is available. They are connected to the hotel. Restaurant is quite spacious with a full bar. Service was slow and dishes came out sporadically. The food itself was very fresh and high quality though. Portions were a tad small, but again very tasty. Would recommend.

Suki L.

Yelp
Service was amazing. Our waiter, Bailey was on point with servicing us. Made us feel welcomed. Staff were friendly as well. Highly recommend getting their Hong Kong milk tea & sugar coated puffs. All the other dim sum items were great too. No complaints. Lots of parking near the Ramada hotel.

Linda M.

Yelp
With a name like Sifu Wong, you come to this place with high expectations! Located in the Ramada Inn, there is a good amount of parking around. When we got there, there was no wait. It was raining so honestly wasn't expecting aunties and uncles to want to head out in the rain anyhow. We got the pu-erh tea, we were seated in a side section of the restaurant. I liked it, it was quieter so we could hear ourselves talk. They brought a menu for us to check things off, so no cart service here. The servers were very quick and efficient. We got the wu gok, which was very crispy and nice. The taro had a good flavor and the pork was good too. Great textures. We had the bolo bao with purple yam filling. My bf was very curious about this. I thought it was good, but generally I am not a fan of bolo bao. My bf loves char siu bao, which I think is okay but not my favorite. The one at Sifu Wong was good, if you like char siu bao. Siu mai was good, so good that my bf snagged a piece before I could snap a picture even. Finally, my favorite dim sum, ha cheung fun. Very good, skin was a nice texture. Shrimp was nice and fresh. I would definitely return! On our way out, there was a huge line of people waiting to get in and the parking lot totally filled up.

Andy N.

Yelp
Me and my sister were excited to try out this place the first time for lunch. Some of the food came out cold. We ordered about 12 order but the most expensive was soup dumplings and bbq combo. The steam chicken was iced cold. The bbq duck was having no sign of heat on it. Soup dumpling is cold and has ZERO soup. Afterward, we tipped $5 dollars since other stuff was good. One of the server came to our table and yelled at me asking why my tip was low and wanted to have more. I refused to do so because I wasn't 100% satisfied with my order. He said something in Chinese and walked away. I felt so disappointed and would definitely never comeback here again.

Teana N.

Yelp
Would have give zero star if I could. Food were meh too overpriced for something that taste similar to food you get from a Chinese market. Terrible service lol, and no not all Chinese restaurants have bad services just this place. If those reasons are not enough for future yelper to stay away from this place. Welp you paid for overpriced flours and dried dumplings. Still a wonder how they still have customers.

Jerry Y.

Yelp
Pros: - Food was amazing here! Classic Dim Sum including the shao long bao, shu mai, and BBQ pork bun to the newer flavors like the yolk filled charcoal bun. - Lots of table with great service. Never really have to wait a long wait unless i'm with a big party. Waiters are friendly and attentive. Very good at balancing what is on your table and not to bring all dishes at once - Parking was readily available since it is sharing w/ the Ramada hotel. Very close to the AMC mercado plaza for a good after meal activity Cons: - Pricer side for sure. Not too bad considering the quality is excellent. - Gets a bit loud so not a place you go for a quiet meal or environment - Bathrooms were old a dated. Definitely could use a refresh. Overall -I would come back here again and recommend others!

Yelp
I found this spot pretty last minute on Yelp with a craving for dim sum - but so glad I did! Rolling up to this place, I was a bit apprehensive since a rundown hotel sign was advertising Sifu Wong. Turning into the parking lot, we saw a side entrance of the hotel indicating the restaurant's location. You definitely cannot tell there's a restaurant there unless you're looking for it. The inside was nicer. Lots of round family tables, and service was quick. Since the walkways are kind of tight, they do not have dim sum carts rolling around. Instead, you place your order and it's brought out to you, made-to-order. Everything arrived steaming hot and delicious! Foods we tried: *Shrimp Rice Rolls *Shrimp Dumpling *Honey BBQ Pork *Spare Ribs *Shumai *Truffle Scallop Dumpling *Fried Tofu Skin and Shrimp All were super yummy. Our bill came out to be about $90 for 3 people and we were very full. Service was quick and ordering was easy. They place a list of your orders at the end of the table and mark things off as they're brought out to the table. Also, I liked that the chili sauce was brought out to the table rather than having a communal sauce jar at every table. Parking: Decent handful of parking spots. It can be a bit tight and crowded during peak hours. Overall, great find! I'll be back at Sifu Wong Kitchen.

Yelp
Lived in Sunnyvale for 4 years and never knew about this place... shame on me. Only learned about it after I moved away. It's one of the more "advanced" dim sum joints just cuz you can join the waitlist and just wait for them to text you, no need to wait around during busy weekends. Enjoyed every dish we ordered, and they were very nice about giving us a more convenient seat for my friends' newborn. The place is very clean and well maintained, we all liked the vibe. Highly recommend for a not-so-crowded dim sum option.

Nieves O.

Yelp
Find Ramada hotel in Sunnyvale, go the back area.. that's where sifu wong is. It's very big inside, clean and perfect for big parties. It's a typical Chinese restaurant but it's modern coz it has a bar. There's still a language barrier but we get becoz when it comes to food... we speak the same hunger. I like the way all dimsum are not instant . It's done when ordered . Ingredients are so fresh! Dimsum was not fatty taste and the chicken feet was not salty at all. Must try is the dried scallop fried rice in white eggs! Wow! This is good. I didn't taste any msg at all. The waiters were so accommodating. Normally if it's Chinese, we feel they are rude when they talk but this one is all accommodating and helpful. . We ended this meal with their famous salty egg yolk bun . We were so full and happy when we left. I highly recommend this place!

Therence J.

Yelp
When it comes to Dim Sum this place DELIVERS! My fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed every dish we ordered. What made our experience the best is the service, so warm and friendly. Dried scallop egg white fried rice: The perfect amount of saltiness and flavor, while not being to overpowering Siu Mai/XLB CHEF KISS Peking Duck/ half order Easily the star of the show, perfect crispness 10/10 comes with buns, vegetables and sauce. DIY Peking duck Buns Black charcoal salty egg buns 100/10, figured it would be savory, but it turn out to be sweet. I would say this is more of a dessert bun Overall, a perfect harmony of great food, tea, complimentary radish/cookies and love Can't wait to come back and bring more people to try this place out

Jill M.

Yelp
3.5 stars! Came on a Monday lunch and it was surprisingly busy, though we were seated right away. This place is attached to the Ramada hotel. Plenty of parking! Ambiance is nice and it was definitely clean. They dont have dim sum carts. You order through paper and they stamp it when your items arrive. The food was okay for me. Some memorable than others. Siumai was mid, but definitely get their fried bean curd with shrimp!

Huong N.

Yelp
I recently did a takeout from this restaurant. We ordered some dimsum and shrimp fried rice for dinner. The price for dimsum for dinner was expensive costing $9 for each and they only have a limited choices. The shrimp fried rice was $25 and was not good at all. It was mushy and had like 7 tiny shrimps in it. Super disappointing because I expect Chinese restaurant do make the best fried rice. The dimsum tasted good as normal. The customer service was terrible. I had an unpleasant phone interaction with a lady who was in a bad mood. She kept on hanging up on me because she assumed I was done speaking. I had to call back three times to complete my phone order. On the third attempt she yelled at me. I only recommend dining in for lunch to eat dimsum. I would not recommend calling for takeout unless you want to be scolded at.

Justine L.

Yelp
This dim sum restaurant is attached to the Ramada Hotel which was pretty easy to find. There's tons of parking spots which is a plus and the restaurant itself has tons of seating and is pretty spacious as well. They even have a banquet hall for events and such too. The servers here are very attentive and friendly especially when we had questions about certain menu items. My favorites from their menu: shrimp rice roll, har gow shrimp dumplings, (the shrimps are much bigger here, compared to other dim sum places I've been too which is a plus), crunchy nest purple rice roll and truffle scallop dumpling, (unique, different, and huge portion), salt and pepper sole fish, fried eggplant, (both of which were fried to perfection) and Chinese broccoli (cooked perfectly). For dessert I tried the sugar coated puffs, however--they were a bit too eggy on the inside for me. Overall, this was a pretty good dim sum place that had a variety of menu items to choose from as well as unique dim sum menu items that you don't typically see too often. Ordered a total of about 15 items for a party of 5 and left with our stomachs full and happy and with some leftovers too.

Louis W.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday at noon and only waited a few minutes to get seated, surprisingly. The fried shrimp roll and salted egg yolk bun were really good. Especially the latter! The ambiance is strange. The interior feels like an old style, but a little fancy. Since it's inside a hotel, they offer outside seating but the hotel's pool is right next to your table. You can see people swimming lol. You just select your dim sum on a sheet and that's it.

Kit S.

Yelp
This is our first time here. The size and portion of our meal were huge; the flavors were all great and delicious. The food came out fast, but we didn't really get attentive service. No one checked in on us, but that's ok we are at a Chinese restaurant and we were immersed in our conversation--two friends catching up from life, right. When we were ready to pay, I gave my credit card to a server to process; he came back with my credit card with a receipt. I thought we paid, but when I showed another server where I put the tip, he said wait. Next thing I know, I was asked to go up to the front and this older, very angry lady barks, "You didn't pay!" Excuse me. I thought we did because I handed my credit card and the server gave back a long receipt. I did not know how their system worked. All she had to say *nicely* was, "we did not process your card yet." Simple right? Nope, she gave me a bad attitude and pounded the card and receipts down--typical bad service that everyone talks about at Chinese restaurants. No wonder the Yelp rating is not as stellar. I'm stewing inside because, really, do I deserve this? No. After I signed the bill, I walked out and told the lady, "You can be a little nicer, you know. Have a good day!" She just growled at me, lol. Wow. Ma'am, you are a lovely person. I should have known that when she took us to our table for two, she took one plate away leaving one of us without a plate! Like, what?! Who does that?? She came back with the plate and slammed it down on the table. I had a gut feeling she was not nice. I wish there were two categories: one for food and one for service. This lady should get another role in the restaurant or not be the hostess. What a meanie. End rant.

Lizzie C.

Yelp
Mediocre Asian restaurant that is slightly overpriced for the quality of the food. I was so pumped to try this place out after reading some amazing reviews, but was sadly disappointed after giving it a shot. First off, the service was extremely slow. We had more than 1 waiter act rudely towards us, even after waiting more than a half hour for someone to take our order. The restaurant did have other people there, but they were by no means packed and didn't seem short-staffed either. The food was good, but nothing outstanding. For the price, I was expecting something of higher quality. Parking was also a bit of a struggle. The lot is shared with a hotel and we snagged the last available spot nearby. Overall, I don't see myself returning here as there are so many better options around the area.

Kenneth L.

Yelp
Sifu Wong Kitchen is located in Sunnyvale. I was looking for someplace to eat when I stumbled upon this new restaurant. They just had their Grand Opening, and they had indoor and outdoor seating. I decided to dine inside. The staff were friendly and engaging as the checked my temperature and did contact tracing. I was seated and given menus. I selected items off the Dim Sum menu. While waiting, I took in the decor and spaciousness of the restaurant -- Social Distancing and Sanitizing were acknowledged. Soon my Dim Sum was steadily brought to my table. The Dim Sum were made fresh, so they were piping hot when brought to your table. The items were delicious. The staff checked on me frequently. During their Grand Opening, they are offering 20% off on Take Out orders. I will be back to dine in.

Marti L.

Yelp
Legit dim sum!! It's been a long time since I've been to a restaurant that served quality dim sum. As someone who grew up eating dim sum with family in SF Chinatown, I can be a bit picky but was impressed by this place. The restaurant is larger than it looks from the entrance. When we arrived, there were a lot of parties ahead of us, but luckily we didn't wait too long for a table. We ordered the classic dim sum items and I was very happy with they all tasted. I was especially impressed by the pan fried chive dumplings and taro dumplings. We definitely come back for more.

Brian K.

Yelp
Stopped by for "dinner dim sum" which is served from 5-8:30 and wow! What a find! We tried the Xiao long bao (soup dumplings). Har gaw (shrimp dumplings), shu mai, and the shrimp and chicken egg rolls. Everything was spectacular. I'm typically not a Chinese egg roll fan, but these were very well executed and unlike the traditional Chinese egg rolls. The soup dumplings while not the same caliber as Din Tai Fung, were quite good with a nice hot broth and flavorful filling. Service is good and the tea service is really good. No tea bags at this place. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
My friends and I came on a Saturday afternoon around 1 PM and got seated right away. Sifu Wong is typically busier on Sundays/Sunday afternoons. They only open from 10 am - 2:30 PM on the weekends! We were a large group of 6 so we ordered around 20 dimsum items! The highlights included the steamed har gaw (thin wrapping), beef tripe, chicken feet (very flavorful with tofu on the bottom), and the fried tofu skin with shrimp. The spareribs were too salty for my taste and their famous "Black Gold Salty Egg Yolk Bun" weren't flowy. I would 100% recommend you try out their HK Lemon Tea and/or highly caffeinated HK Milk Tea. I got the HK Milk Tea and it had just the right amounts of sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk. The bartender also makes it in front of you with the cotton cheesecloth. We paid around $220 for 6 people (with two boxes of leftovers!) They included a mandatory 16% service charge which was very fair since we usually tip 18%-20% at other dimsum restaurants.

Joanne H.

Yelp
This place is a solid choice for dimsum! There was a wait when we got there but got seated faster by opting to sit outside. There were a few wasps outside and so I'd prefer to sit inside next time. We ordered a variety of dishes and everything was good except the golden yolk bun :( the filling is usually thin but ours was chunky and cold. We tried to heat it up at home but it still wasn't oozing like all the other pictures posted. Probably an old batch. Everyone was very friendly! It's a bit harder to get consistent service sitting outside but it was fine. They forgot about 1 of our orders but we were full with plenty of leftovers so we didn't mind.

John T.

Yelp
This spot has quickly become my go to spot for dim sum. they have an out door space which accommodates dogs which i love because sometime i just want to take the dog out and let her be social. the must try dish is the lava bun. don't pass up on this. There are plenty of other favorites a lot of them are the typical stuff i would get an any dimsum. oh did i mention not to forget to get the lava bun. your mouth will thank me, just be careful when you bite into it.

Secretbaby L.

Yelp
The service and ambiance are good. Our server is very attentive. We went there on mother day dinner with reservation and were seated right away. The dishes and food taste ok. We were disappointed because there are about 3-4 dishes that I saw in Yelp pictures weren't available (they are not pre order items). I was hoping at least they will have more dishes since it was mother day. The most disappointed dishes was abalone dish. The abalone were so hard to bite and it cost almost $200 for 8 pieces. Another disappointing dish is typhoons crab (add on vermicelli for extra charge). The vermicelli were hard and dry and seasoning were not mixed well. Overall none of the dishes were stand out enough for me to go back again especially since I live in SSF. Portion is ok but I still think they are alittle over price for what you got.

Yelp
Came for dimsum. Food is usually pretty good. Surprisingly, service was pretty attentive. A bit noisy, it's a big place that can sit hundreds of people, fast turn around (at least for dimsum). 3 plates per person is usually pretty good estimate. Everything we ordered was not bad. Xiao lung bao was dry, no juice, and the top skin was visibly dry. Ordered tea prawn, chef special, it was so so. Come here again? Most likely, not too many option for dimsum in the Bay Area.

Yelp
So it's officially been a year since I've initially reviewed Sifu. Let's say I've definitely come back more than just a couple of times and now have some new faves that I'd like to rave: Must Get: 1. Shoumei Tea: Life changer. Best tea imo. 2. Pan Fried Chive Dumplings: Fam favorite. 3. Truffle Scallop Dumpling: Superior over Har Gow. 4. Chicken Feet: Very tasty and doesn't have a weird after taste. 5. Shrimp Rice Roll: It says it could take up to 45 min wait time, but for the last two times I've ordered, it's arrived at a decent time. Don't Get: 1. XLB: Since my initial review, the XLB quality has gone down. It's not as soupy and comes out dry.

Yelp
Solid dim sum spot!! We came by without checking the yelp waitlist, so had to wait in line for about 30 to 40 minutes. Once inside, the restaurant is pretty spacious and there's lots of servers about. The standard dim sum was all up to par, but the highlight for us was definitely the lychee shrimp balls! The texture was so fun, and the flavor was great! Definitely try these if you're here.

Yelp
Great dim sum but on the pricier side for sure. I personally love their beef intestine soup, which is always a staple for me at every dim sum restaurant. The tripe was thick and soft, and the meat-to-radish ratio is great! They give a decent amount which is nice too! As for the shrimp rice cake, some dim sum places have the problem of it being stale, but the one at Sifu Wong was very soft and decadent with the shrimp. I also like their shu mai alot, it is flavorful and thick which serves a punch with every bite. I didn't feel the other beef tripe (the one that is not the soup) as much as I felt it was bland. The har gow and chow fun were okay! The parking lot can be full so come early! It is very very packed on the weekends and the wait can be long. Call in for the wait time as the Yelp system has been since eliminated.

Yelp
Came by during the weekend right around opening. Got seated right away. Staff was friendly. Inside looked clean. Ordered Truffle scallop dumpling Shrimp rice noodle roll Salted egg yolk bun Lychee shrimp Fried eggplant Siu Mai BBQ bun Egg Tart Mango Pudding Food came out pretty fast. The lychee shrimp was interesting. Overall the dim sum was alright.

Yelp
Very disappointing. I saw all the amazing reviews and picture on yelp but ended up with disappointment. BUTTTTT I want to say their sugar coated puff is SO GOOD. Basically Hong Kong quality!! Crispy and fresh and you can taste the egg flavor. Definitely the highlight of this meal. Servers were also very attentive. They refilled my teapot very efficiently and were very polite. Now, for the things that needs improvement 1) cleanliness. We ordered the egg yolk steam bun. The steam bamboo container had stains from previous dish. Please see the picture attached. The bun itself was black in color but somehow the bamboo interior had white food stain from previous. Also there was hair in the teapot so we had to order another one..... 2) all other dishes are meh.....

Yelp
Great dim sum spot ! Delicious siumais and eggplant. The place is spacious and very quick. They offer a variety of choices & different kinds of dim sum. I believe their menu changes because some items I could not find from last visit, which can be sucky. One downside is they tend to forget items that you mark. Otherwise great service and food. More on the pricey side for dim sum.

Yelp
Another restaurant that I found on Yelp that was a hit! I came here with my family on a Saturday around 1:15pm and added ourselves to the waitlist. We were seated after waiting for about 25 minutes. I'm assuming this place is packed on the weekends because every table was occupied. They also have outdoor seating. There are no push carts, so you mark the items you want on the sheet. I got all the go-to dim sum items - har gaw, siu mai, chicken feet, beef meat balls. They were all extremely tasty and piping hot. We also ordered the House Special Pan Fried Egg Noodle and Black Gold Salty Egg Yolk Bun. The noodles were crispy and full of flavor. The bun is similar to the steamed egg custard buns that you order at dim sum restaurants but this one was much more unique that the bun itself is black and the inside of the filling is smooth as it gushes out.

Yelp
RUN.. don't walk to this dim sum place because it's a gem! I love sharing hidden gem spots that overall impress me. The highlight was definitely the black gold salted egg yolk bun because that was perfection. It was soft and sweet and you could taste the salted egg yolk. The shrimp rolls were phenomenal, they must have made it fresh because it was literally silky. They also loaded it with huge fresh shrimp. The fried taro dumplings were crispy and light on the outside and packed on the inside. Everything else was all tasty. The food comes fairly quickly and we are definitely coming back next time. Staff were super friendly and spoke Cantonese. Huge inside with nice seating. This spot is tucked behind the Ramada with plenty of parking.

Yelp
This place is pretty good, but nothing in particular stands out except that they have seating by the motel pool, which is really nice and a first for me for dim sum. The main problem with the poolside seating is that the tablecloth keeps on blowing off. They should put some sort of clips on the tablecloths to hold them down. We spent too much time trying to hold down the tablecloth. The food was pretty standard and decent dim sum. The most unusual dish was a lychee shrimp dumpling, which looks like a lychee! Amazing looking (see pictures), but not super delicious. The best dish was the sesame balls. Otherwise, pretty average dim sum. Prices were pretty high, I think we ended up paying $90 with tax and tip for two people.

Yelp
I drove from Los Angeles arrived on a Sunday morning before the restaurant opened. A long queue had already been waiting before this. I was super excited to try situ Wong kitchen. Yelp

Yelp
A spacious and comfortable restaurant good for gathering of large parties. The servers are very friendly and knowledgeable and quite patient in suggesting and answering questions on the dishes on the menu (of course at a price - $25 just to serve a birthday cake that we brought in). The dishes were OK, not extraordinary. Nothing really stood out. The descriptions on the menu are way better than the actual dishes (i.e., the ingredients described on the menu sounded better than the actual ingredients used). And, yes, the presentations were good, but paying too much attention to presentations and neglecting the taste led to average dishes. Hope that this is just a one-off and that we will find more delicious dishes the next time we visit.

Yelp
Long long line. You need to wait for an hour for weekends. We came here to try out their dim sum because of the great reviews from other yelpers. Large parking lot so easy to find parking. Salted egg lava bun and lychee shrimp balls are very unique there so you need to try them! I think they taste delicious.

Yelp
Food and service here were very disappointing! My original review was "flagged" and they got Yelp to remove it. I'm not going to let it go and finally have the time today to re-write my review! My dining experience was back in July and my original review was the same night after we ate at this place for lunch, before our flight back to OC. Our dining experience here was pretty terrible. Service - like many many Yelpers already mentioned, service here is pretty bad. We ended up serving ourselves a few times. We got cups, chopsticks, and napkins ourselves. Many times we tried to call someone to check on our orders but was not successful. Food - we mainly came for dim sum and the only dim sum dish we liked was the chicken feet. I usually order shrimp steamed rice rolls at all dim sum places I go to, so I ordered one here and a beef steam rice rolls. Like many other Yelpers already mentioned, not sure the method or non-method they have here at bringing out your dim sum, but the steamed rice rolls came out last like other Yelpers already mentioned. We waited what seemed like eternity for our steamed rice rolls. The shrimp one came out first, and literally like 10 minutes later, the beef one came out. And Holy and Behold, it was raw!!!! I bit into it and spit it out right away, I was horrified. See photo, you can see the raw beef inside. I showed the waiter the raw beef that we were served in our steamed rice roll and she just shrugged and took it away and asked what else we wanted, like it was no big deal.. well, I guess this must've happened before so they are used to it? But to me I was a big deal!!. I should've asked them to take it off the bill but, regrettably, we asked them to replace it with the shrimp one and it was like another 15 minutes later at least, that the shrimp one finally came out. What supposed to be a quick dim sum lunch turned out to be a whole disastrous long experience. We definitely would not come back here again since there are so many other dim sum places in the area. This place is inside the Ramada. Definitely would not recommend and would not come back!!!!

Yelp
Really great dim sum. Large sizes, creative presentation, and high quality seafood and meat! Also great ambiance, this is definitely somewhere I would bring my parents for a special occasion. Serve is not the best (as expected at every dim sum place). Be prepared for over an hour wait and difficulty to flag down a server. However, food makes up for it! Just join the waitlist and take the hour to walk around somewhere.

Yelp
Who would ever think to look for a Chinese restaurant at the Ramada Inn? Quirky place that looks like it used to be the hotel lounge. We had dim sum here one Sunday noon and it seems plenty of people knew about this place. Quite a crowd waiting at noontime. They unfortunately don't have cart service so you just order and they bring it out to you. The dim sum was very good. We had an assortment of the traditional as well as some unique items like the lychee shrimp balls. Pretty good. The har gao, siu mai, xlb, bean curd wrap, bbq pork pastry, sticky rice, and other dishes were good too. The dinner menu had the traditional dishes but seemed a bit pricey.
