Took a bus from Nadi airport to this part. One and a half hours journey. So worth it. It was a magnificent park. From forest to grassland to desert to beach, all within 2 hours walk. You get to see the raw and wild beauty that nature has to offer. We were there just after rain. And it was a cloudy day. So it was pleasant to walk about. But I can see if it is a sunny it would be very hot.

Amazing little hike through the bush to get to the Sand Dunes! Very friendly and helpful staff, explained the terrain and the routes to us. We took the red route, a approximately 1h walk. 10$ per person for entrance, which is totally fair! Clean facilities.

Not a must see place but good for some easy hikes and views. Go early in the morning as it gets very hot and humid later in the day. We haven’t gone far to the sand dunes.

Beautiful spot! Sign in at the guest centre (and pay $10 a head) before hitting the trails. The guest centre staff are super helpful, willing to suggest routes and able to supply you with relevant safety and track condition info for the day. My friend and I did the long loop (plus a little more), making for a 7km walk that took about 1.5hr, with plenty of stops to take in the epic dunes, rolling waves, and mahogany forest filled with fruit bats. There was good cloud cover for us, but on a sunny day I would definitely suggest a hat, sunscreen, and plenty of water.

Choose your walk, one or two hours. We hose the short one because of the heat. Nice hike to some nice dune formations. Incredible views along the shoreline and then a nice cool walk back through the mahogany forest. Nice host at the park entrance too. Listen to his story of the Tree Huggers

Sigatoka Sand Dunes is one of the must visit places in Sigatoka, along the Coral Coast. It is one of the places where you will truly admire the mysteries of Mother Nature. Climbing up the dune will definitely challenge your every nerve and muscle however once you make it to the top, you will be blown away. Do not forget to take a bottle of water, shoes or flippers because the sand can get really hot! Ideal time to visit to the Dunes is early morning or later afternoon. Later will give you nice sunset views! Dunes meet the sea however DO NOT swim. Waves here have been notorious.

My husband, teenage son and I decided to go there before heading back to Suva. We enjoyed it! Felt like it became a mini- team building for us! Here, you get to experience: - mountain climb with a great view on top - sand dunes - beach walk - mahogany forest walk and other forest walk - cold shower to freshen up in the end Yes, it can be tiring as the long walk may take 2-3 hours, but there is a shorter option which may be 40mins-1 hour walk. Go prepared - wear comfortable shoes/slides, put on sunscreens, wear a hat and hydrate! Overall, it was a great and we'll definitely do it again!

The Sigatoka Sand Dunes is about 45 minutes drive from Nadi and offers a beautiful coastal scenic walk with spectacular views from the dunes of the Sigatoka town on one side and the ocean on the other. There is ample parking space at the Visitor Information Centre with clean restrooms and park rangers to assist you. We paid a fee of $7 at the Visitor Centre and were off to explore this unique wonder. Not only is this place a World Heritage site with historical significance, it is also our secret weapon or the Fijian rugby rite of passage for rugby teams in Fiji. It is where rugby champions are made. The best time to be there would be early morning or late afternoon to avoid walking on burning sand & high winds. Pack a sun hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, water bottle and a bandana or lightweight face/neck cover.
