Amy Poehler Advocated for Restaurant Workers’ Rights at Midtown Rally - Eater NY

"Siggy’s Good Food in East Village is set to close. First opened in 2012, the all-organic restaurant will have its last service on Saturday. A sign posted on the restaurant’s social media accounts cites “bureaucratic” reasons and the economy as the causes for closure. The note also announces that the restaurant is moving to Charlotte, North Carolina. The Brooklyn Heights outpost closed in 2015." - Kayla Kumari Upadhyaya

Great choices on the menu for vegetarians. I had a pretty great veggie burger. The fresh made juices are pretty awesome too. Our server while he did everything properly, had kind of an attitude and the tables next to us noticed it too. We shared a great laugh over it but I could see it being problematic for their image.

The salmon burger really is as awesome as people rave about. I'm giving the food excellent purely based on that. The burger was also very good but not to the level of he salmon burger. Its cute, cozy little restaurant. Our waiter was friendly but not very attentive. Wish they had fries though!

This is a fun restaurant to eat at and meet friends and family. There are a natural food store. There are chairs and tables outside in good weather. The soups are homemade and very tasty. The fresh sandwiches and entrees are delicious. Breakfast at this restaurant is a real treat. The muffins are out of this world delicious. The freshly homemade baked pastries are delicious. I highly recommend this cafe. The price is inexpensive. Stay in or take out. Service is very friendly.

Healthy and delicious food options. Got the tofu scramble for brunch one day and declared it the best I had ever tasted. They have a lot of very interesting salad, sandwich and smoothie choices. Everything tastes fresh and the service is pretty quick too.

Such a great experience from start to finish- this place is worth the wait. Our waitress was super friendly- we went here after getting married at the clerk's office in Manhattan, and when we told her she brought us drinks on the house and cookies. Then she ran 2 blocks to return my card to me when I absent-mindedly forgot it. Waitress lady, whoever you were, thank you!! The food was great, so all over this is an awesome place to sit and enjoy the city!

I can't say enough about how good the food was here. The flavors were unbelievable. My wife and I got two very different dishes and both were equally wonderful. The service was prompt and very friendly and the atmosphere was very charming. HIGHLY recommended.

came here twice. once for brunch and once for a midweek lunch. the food was flavorful, in decent portions, and healthy. i had a frittata which was excellent, and a turkey 1/2 sandwich and pumpkin/bean soup, which were excellent. staff aimed to please. i understand they are opening a place in the les, but for now this is my favorite spot for brunch and lunch in brooklyn heights.
